This hotel worked for us in that it was roughly halfway on our journey to the south of France.
The staff were very friendly and helpful on check-in. The hotel itself is quite tired and needs some modernisation.
Restaurant was not open the evening we were there but the Local town of Avallon had plenty of pleasant restaurants available.

It's a basic ibis hotel, nothing unusual. Tge added bonus for me was the Tesla superchargers which were within walking distance. That's convenient for EV users. Would stay here again.

After 24 hours on a plane then a 2 hour drive from the airport it was nice to come to a clean comfortable room. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the hotel was in a quiet location. Would highly recommend if you are in the area.

Rooms are too too small and their twin beds the smallest u can ever imagine.
Biggest problem u can have in summer is no air conditions and if u open the window so many insects comes in.

Staff was welcoming and nice. Hotel is easily accessible from the highway, perfect for an overnight stop along the way.. Would definitely stay there again if I needed to stay in that area. Haven't tried the breakfast. Wifi was fine but a colleague had issues due to frequent disconnect. Bed was nice, room was facing the road but was really quiet. It was exactly what I needed.

The hotel is set back some way from the motorway so is pretty quiet. The rooms are small but perfectly adequate for a one night stay. Our room had a bath which was much appreciated.
We had an evening meal which was very good. The restaurant was very busy, it was a Saturday night, so would advise eating immediately at 7pm.
Breakfast was excellent. We came down fairly late but the buffet was continually being replenished with meats, cheeses, bread etc. A nice touch was being able to boil your own egg. So often eggs are cold and hard in breakfast buffets.
We would certainly stay here again if travelling through this part of France.

Very helpful, we stayed on our way home whilst I was travelling with a broken leg - staff were very helpful and courteous. We had a nice meal and the breakfast was good too. My only point was that the bed does slip around on the floor and could do with some brakes to prevent it moving. All in all a lovely stay and we will use it again as approx half way between Le Harve and The Alps

The ibis team was very professional and nice , the food and stay were exceemt wil come back as it is on my way to Paris and to lyon. It so about 7 km from a nice mediaval city named Avalon where also we found a nice brasserie for the lunch cheap and excellent meals.

The Ibis Avallon is set in a rural location not far from the motorway... There is a lovely terrace on which you can enjoy the excellent cuisine which is well above par for a 3 star hotel. The rooms are compact but clean and the beds are very comfortable.. There is no A/C nor any fridge in the rooms but they are happy to chill items if requested. I would certainly book here again in the future.

J’aurais appréciée pouvoir dîner sur place, malheureusement malgré un gros panneau « restaurant ouvert le soir» sur la devanture de l’hôtel… Cela donne une image d’un hôtel négligé, car apparemment le restaurant est fermé depuis plus d’un an… joint de la douche dégradé pas terrible.

Au niveau de l accueil à mon arrivé les 3 dames étaient accueillantes souriantes, par contre dans la chambre il faisait froid, le radiateur ne suffisait pas pour chauffer la chambre.L eau n était pas chaude pour ma douche, tiède qui allait vers le froid. Au petit déjeuner le 2eme matin les œufs brouillés étaient froid contrairement au 1 et matin.

En toute honnêteté, la personne qui nous a enregistrés était sympa mais sans plus. La chambre était bien mais une tablette de chevet était cassée et non réparée. ( pas cool ! ) De plus, la propreté n'était pas au rendez-vous et notamment dans la salle de bain où la partie basse de la baignoire était plutôt noire que blanche ! encore pas cool du tout. Pas de lit double non plus. Petit déjeuner pas à la hauteur. Nous n'avons pas l'habitude de critiquer mais même si le prix était correcte 97 € avec petit dèj, il y a des points sur lesquels l'hôtel doit apporter de grosses améliorations.

A warm and helpful welcome. Probably as it was early in season the bar wasn't fully stocked. But room was very clean and comfortable. Bathroom felt a bit old e.g. bath had plastic curtain that stick to you when showering. Needs upgrading in bathroom.

Un accueil positif du réceptionniste. Par contre une petite déconvenue lorsque nous découvrons que notre animal de compagnie n'avait pas été pris en compte lors de la réservation. Un supplément de 10 euros doit alors être rajouté. Un prix que nous estimons élevé par rapport à d'autres établissements d'hébergements. La chambre est vaste et la literie de très bonne qualité. Un environnement sympathique. Le point noir, la salle d'eau avec de nombreux joints noircis sur la faïence, de la poussière sur les plinthes mais surtout une brosse de W.C dans un état répugnant. Autre point particulier l'eau de la douche était tiède en soirée alors que le matin elle était bien chaude.

Séjour de trois nuits très réussi
Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cet hôtel : super insonorisation (alors que nous étions côté route), parking très pratique ; propreté irréprochable et literie confortable ; pour finir, l'hôtel est bien placé, à quelques minutes d'Avallon en voiture. Il débouche directement sur la route départementale, pratique pour partir en excursion vers les sites des alentours.
