We found the women who work at this location very patient and helpful. The men who work the reception and bar were rude. If you work in the hotel business and you advertise that you speak different languages, why would you act rude and impatient when customers (travelers) didn't speak French? It's unnecessary. Again, this was just the men. The women who helped us were patient, kind, v and helpful.

Parking was difficult, bedrooms tired but adequate as we only stayed one night, no kettle for tea or coffee. Restaurant was basic but the staff were very friendly and spoke English. Périgueux was a very nice picturesque place to visit.

Our parking was a garage @ 15€ per night. The free parking could be difficult. The hotel is well situated to the old town. Good restaurants and an interesting city.
Our bedroom was tired and had no extra facilities such as a kettle and the bathroom was small. Breakfast was good and meet the needs. Staff were very helpful.

A marvellous stay right opposite the river. Very welcoming, friendly & efficient staff. A nice quiet room overlooking the cathedral behind the hotel. We had a good dinner in the restaurant after a drink on the terrace. Good bed linen & towels.

The hotel is In an ideal location and the staff were most welcoming. We chose to dine in as the meals were excellent and reasonably priced and the service good. Our room was good and the rate fair. It could however benefited from a small kettle to make a hot drink.

Reception were friendly. Although free parking is advertised there are only a couple of spaces but with help from receptionist we found a space virtually next door- but did then have to lug all our cases around to the hotel.

The rooms were very hot because they decided that it was winter so they turned on the heat. We could not regulate the temperature in our room. So they told us to open the window to cool the room down. That was okay until nighttime when it seemed everyone was in the partying mood and we couldn’t sleep. Room service cleaned our room the first night but not the second night so the front desk staff had to do it.

Good hotel in a great location

This is a well located central hotel for visiting Perigeux. Everything is easily within walking distance. We were lucky to use the free parking across the road alongside the river, otherwise parking could have been an issue. Staff on reception were very friendly and helpful and spoke good English. The room was an ok size and we were lucky to have an openable window overlooking the river. Our room was third floor and it was quiet. However we found the bed very uncomfortable and had little sleep! This would deter us from staying there again.

Good value for money stay near the centre of Périgueux. You know what to expect with an Ibis and this was pretty much their standard fare but it is the location which is the biggest bonus, close to the vieux ville. The outside space is also attractive with views over the river.

The food was excellent. The breakfast with fresh yoghurt was particularly memorable. We did not like the fact that dogs were allowed in the dining room, (we have allergies) and that they did not warn us in time that the city would be closing the parking lot for the festival. Our car was impounded and that put a damper on our vacation. We did not have time to signal this to the reception as we had to leave in a hurry.

Good location, poor rooms.

The room was tiny, one of the smallest we've ever seen, barely big enough for 2 people with luggage.. The sound-proofing was also poor and we could hear conversations from other rooms. There was very little parking space at the hotel, although there was a large public car park nearby.
However, the location is very good close to the river and the cathedral and old town.
The restaurant was also very good and reasonably priced. It's a shame the rooms didn't come up to the same standard.

Showers had warnings about being slippery.We put down towels but my wife slipped anyway and broke some ribs. A very bad experience. We told the staff about the fall, but they did nothing. If they knew the showers were slippery, they should have done something about it.

From the outside everything looked great. Inside, reception area was reasonably bar and restaurant areas looked good, in the room the bathroom was small but well equipped and clean. However the bedroom was snug, but decor, while clearly resent was extremely basic. The bed was very comfortable. For the price it was reasonable value. Good location.

Nice hotel with a view of the cathedral from the back and the river in the front. Close to everything in the old town. The breakfast was very good with lots of fruits, bread, cake, meat, cheese, etc. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice place to stay.

Perfect Location

I was not particularly impressed with the check-in as the receptionist answered the telephone twice while we were checking-in and kept us waiting. I found this quite rude. The hotel itself is in a wonderful location between the cathedral and the river and is ideally placed, within plenty of parking along the riverbank. The hotel accommodation itself is a little dated and in need of some refreshing, though for the price it was reasonable. Breakfast is the standard Ibis fare, perfectly adequate with reasonable choice (the madeleines are particularly good and there are pancakes too), though without the cooked breakfast to be found in a Mercure. Still. for the price, the breakfast is good. The hotel is also a very short walk to our favourite restaurant (Hercule Poirot) which is definitely a bonus.

A really good hotel

We were on a 1 night stopover and arrived fairly late, but the restaurant was open until 10.30 and the food and chocie was fine. Breakfast in the morning was equally satisfactory. Parking in front of the hotel is limited but the was space to unload the car and plenty over space in the free quayside carpark opposite. Rooms are ok, a little small but well laid out and clean. Location is great, overlooking the river and virtually in the town centre. It was market day when we were there and it was a pleasure the wander round the many stalls.

Overall a better than good experience for five nights. Hotel is well located: restaurants, cafes, shops and outdoor market just up the hill. Staff was accommodating in every way. Had dinner in the hotel one night and 3 of 3 thought it was good! Did not eat breakfast there. Free Wifi was never a problem. Room size is an issue--rooms are tiny hence the lower score. Would come back.

Delighted at Hotel appearance, location, beautiful bar, staff were excellent - very helpful! The overall experience was OK. The room could have been just a little bit bigger and the towels were very small and mean and they remained wet overnight.
With a little imagination and care, the overall interior decor could have been much more sympathetic. As it was the room was a rather depressing mix of different woods and orange walls.

Highly recommend this hotel.

Helpful staff, internet set up in foyer really convenient ( I don't have wifi gear) and a comfortable, quiet room with view of the cathedral.The only tiny niggle was the lack of parking in front of the hotel and no signing to the small rear carpark, but there is a big free public car park only a few metres away so all was well!

Friendly Staff - Awful Hotel Room

Most of the staff were friendly enough, apart from the young waitress who embarrassed us in the restaurant by continually repeating French words and expecting us to eventually understand. We were clearly unable to speak much French and all she had to do was get an English speaking staff member who was close by. She probably didn't mean to cause offence but she did. As for the hotel room, it smelt damp and was way too hot, even with the air conditioning turned on full blast. Great location though but just a typical cheap old Ibis that needs tearing down and rebuilding.

The Ibis is in a wonderful location for those visiting Perigueux as a tourist. It is very near the cathedral, the old quarter, the restaurants and the shops.
Although the rooms were small they were clean and compact. My only complaint was with the bath room. Only two small, thin bath towels were provided for the two of us with no hand towels. The bath was very slippery and high, the shower being over the bath and no anti-slip mat was provided nor any hand-rails on the walls
Other than that the hotel was fine, the breakfast was excellent and the Wifi really worked! Parking was something of a difficulty and we had to find free parking some distance from the hotel.

Room was clean, had modern comfortable decor, big built-in desk along the window wall. The room was relatively spacious and well-laid out. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Most spoke English well enough to help us with what we needed. Housekeeping services were very satisfactory. All provided appliances worked and amenities were available, as advertised.

Great for location

The Ibis is situated on the river and about 3mins walk from the old town which is full of lovely cafes and restaurants, so full marks for location. It was fairly easy to find but its worth knowing that the car park is opposite the hotel by the quayside, down a sloping slip road which you don't necessarily spot from the road if you don't know its there. The hotel and room were fine, if a little cramped. The thing that stood out was that it had a very comfy bed and we had a really good nights sleep!

Très déçue de cet échange. Je suis rarement déçue par les hôtels disponibles sur Hotels.com, mais là, vraiment.
D'une part, je ne vois pas l'intérêt de nous demander en amont dans quel créneau horaire nous arriverons, si c'est pour trouver la chambre froide, glaciale même avec le chauffage éteint à l'arrivée. Nous pensions nous poser un peu en arrivant, mais ce n'était pas possible. Nous aurions dû conserver nos manteaux !
D'autre part, l'eau de la douche était froide, malgré l'écoute de la personne d'accueil qui nous a suggéré de faire couler l'eau au moins 20 min pour qu'elle chauffe (!!!), d'autant que le bac était bouché, et qu'au bout de 5 min, l'intégralité de la sdb était mouillée...
Bref, séjour très décevant. Nous n'y reviendons pas.
C'est dommage, c'était bien agréable le piano et la guitare, ma fille et mon mari ont passé un bon moment. Mais le reste a vraiment tout gâché.

Bonne présentation dans l'ensemble, restauration de bon rapport (un peu cher avec les prestations de service fournies), enfin si le service de table suivait cela serait correct.
Personnel accueillant et sympathique, petit déjeuner très bien. A conseiller, faire attention aux périodes.
N.B. : ce serait bien d'avoir des toasts avec le fois gras.

O time do hotel é muito dedicado. Ele atende as solicitacoes com muita simpatia e carinho. O café da manhã é muito bom com bastante variedade na comida e nos pães. Pena o suco ser industrial e não fresco. A parte da recepção do hotel é do restaurante sao muito aconchegantes e a vista pro rio é bem legal. A localização do hotel é ótima porque bem central sem o incômodo do barulho do trânsito. Agora na parte das acomodações, deixa um pouco a desejar. Os quartos são bem pequenos, a decoração é vintage barato, a pintura está descascando e o espelho do nosso quarto está delaminando. O chuveiro tem um degrau muito alto pra entrar, o que dificulta o acesso para idosos ou deficientes e o chão é bastante escorregadio. A água não corre muito e a temperatura pode variar repentinamente. Por ser um 3 estrelas do grupo accor, não se enquadra no padrão dessa categoria de hotel. Pelo mesmo valor de diaria (em torno de 100 euros com café da manhã) ficamos hospedados num 4 estrelas da rede Vincci em Lisboa. As prestações nem se comparam. O hotel precisaria passar por uma boa reforma para se encaixar melhor no padrão 3 estrelas.
