I initially was slightly disappointed when I arrived, I wasn't expecting to stay in the annexe and I thought I'd booked breakfast inclusive with my stay, but on checking with my booking details, it was all there in black and white and I hadn't, if I'd had only read them properly!
The room in the annexe was lovely with a beautiful ceiling. I was on the first floor overlooking the road, which was ideal as some of my family were running the Rome marathon on the Sunday and I could watch and cheer them go by.
My only gripe was the sink and shower water took ages to get hot.
The breakfast was in the main hotel a 100 metre walk away, it was everything you could want and very delicious!
Very friendly breakfast staff and concierge.
All in all I'd recommend staying.

So glad we chose to book a suite. A lovely room blending modern convenience with classical features. Large, comfortable and clean. Also surprisingly quiet for a central Rome location. The hotel could not be better placed for exploring all of Rome's historic sites.

Staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Because of the Rome marathon our taxi to the airport could not get to the hotel. Two porters took our luggage to the taxi for us and also guided us to the taxi. They went out of the way to make our stay memorable.

Beware when booking the Annexe, it is not A separate building but IN a separate building, being one floor in a block of flats, primarily residential/business and completely misrepresented in the information and photographs. The communal area of the annexe to the lift is grubby and smelly, not maintained and does not have the appearance and ambience of the main hotel and does not feel very safe. The annexe does not have on-site concierge support. Our allocated room was filthy with layers of dirt and dust on the headboard, a used shower and toilet, blood on the bathroom wall and had not been cleaned in a very long time and had clearly just been vacated by someone. The hotel failed in their obligation to provide a safe, clean and comfy room. Avoid the annexe it is not in keeping with a 4* hotel. Beware of the non-refundable policy and the hotel will ignore questions and end communication with you.

The staff at Argentina Residenza Style Hotel were knowledgeable, helpful and always quick to respond to email inquiries. I set up two nights in Rome for my daughter and her friends and their flight got in at 3am - they helped with setting up transportation, making sure someone was available for check-in and allowing them to leave their bags the last day to be able to sightsee and catch a late train out to Florence! The girls loved their room and said it was clean and beautiful and in a great location to walk to so many things. Thank you!!

We were sent to the annex building even though we didn’t know that was what we had booked through Expedia as it lacked that description. For 3 nights in a row, we had people screaming and yelling and chanting all night outside our window. It was still going on even until 4:30am! At first we were hoping it would stop but on the third night, we had to call the reception to ask for help, and were told that was “normal”. Since we had to deal with jet lag and then all these rude screaming made it worse, my immune system was down and I got sick. I had to call the reception to plead them to call the police to assist with this out of control situation. At first we were patient thinking it was just a different culture but then when it went on all night without curtesy or regards to anyone’s well-being, our frustration grew and we had to ask for assistance to inform the police.
On the fourth and last night in Rome we were asked if we wanted to change room, and by that time the police probably had been informed. We had to leave early in the morning and to deal with a building or room change would be too exhausting.

I was genuinely looking forward to this stay, which made the experience even more disappointing. Our suite was located in a separate building next door rather than in the main hotel — something that was not clearly stated on Expedia at the time of booking and only communicated at check-in. That lack of transparency immediately changed the tone of our stay. If a room is in a different building, this should be clearly disclosed upfront so guests can make an informed decision.

Unfortunately, the welcome did not help set a positive tone either. The front desk associate was not very warm or welcoming, which made the check-in feel transactional rather than hospitable.

While the room itself had potential, the cleanliness was unacceptable. The floors were visibly dirty and dusty, as if they had not been properly swept. The walls had noticeable stains, which was honestly off-putting. The entrance to the secondary building also felt unclean and poorly maintained. Overall, it did not meet basic cleanliness standards.

We asked about an upgrade to the main building or a higher floor, but it was fully booked. As someone who truly values the full hotel experience — the ambiance, the service, and the feeling of being immersed in the property — I didn’t feel like we were part of the hotel at all. It felt detached and below the standard I expected.

I’m sure the rooms in the main building may offer a stronger experience, but based on this stay, I would not choose to return.

Staff were helpful and friendly and the rooms tidy, although the triple.room seemed a little tight for 3.people. Being in a historic building meant either taking a very small lift or navigating fairly steep stairs. Overall, a pleasant stay in a good part of Rome

We were upgraded from the Annexe to the main building on arrival. This made a huge difference as our room was quiter than the Annexe room would have been (further from the road). The room was spotlessly clean and of good size - not massive, but with plenty of space to move around and unpack. Staff were very friendly and helpful. On our first night, we asked at the desk for a restaurant recommendation, the staff member told us her favourite nearby restaurant. It was great. We then discovered that the hotel had pdf (obtiainable from scanning a QR code in the room) of their recommended restaurants in the area but also further afield. We went to many of them and thought all of them were amazing - especially one that was in the same building as the hotel! As for location, the hotel is perfect. None of the main sights in Rome were more than 35 minutes walk away. We walked everywhere - which actually mean loads of walking as the Vatican Museums and Coluseum/Forum entailed lots and lots of walking around just to see everything in those locations....

Central location. Close to taxi station and buses. Easy to walk to the famous rome attractions. The concierge was extremely nice and helpful. Room upkeep was terrific. The only two issues: trying to find entrance on the street to the hotel when we arrived was difficult and confusing and the walls in the rooms seemed thin as we could hear our neighbors talking late at night.

I’m not one for writing many reviews but I have to on this one. Excellent location, you can walk to Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Coliseum, and many other hot spots. Rooms are small, but very well kept and clean (but you don’t want to stay in the room anyway). Excellent staff and the breakfast was top notch!! Everything 100%!! Staff communicates really well vai WhatsApp. Try the restaurant just outside the hotel (Come Na Vorta).

There are many reasons I liked this hotel. Number one has to be the staff. Everyone at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. From storing part our luggage while we traveled to other cities, to calling a cab at 4am.

The room was very clean well appointed and had an interesting layout since the building was an old monastery. The layers of lights were impressive for setting different types of moods, crazy amount of switches, we liked that The roof of the room was post and beams, and that resulted in a lot of noise from upstairs apartment. The location of the hotel is ideal for exploring Rome, set in a little courtyard off a busy street, they incorporate access into existing building of apartments through multiple secure doors. There was noise from alleyways next-door especially when restaurant throws away bottles so recommend using earplugs for sleeping. Staff were mostly great but on day leaving we had 36 euro breakfast charge on our bill that we did not incur and when I challenged that, staff member Matilda was very rude though eventually did resolve the issue. But it left a bitter taste and we are unsure if we would return to this property. Then we asked for a printout of our final bill and she said no because we bought on an app. We often book through apps and this is the first time we’ve been denied a final printout. There are a lot of choices for accommodation in Rome, not sure we would return to this one just based on the awkward check out.

The staff at the hotel were wonderful even after we checked out they let us keep our bags there until our flight. They even looked after my sister's bag although she was staying elsewhere. I found the room was clean and comfortable. At night is was nice and quiet so I could sleep easily. Finally the location of the hotel was great, just by a bus stop so it's easy to get to all the major attractions in Rome.

Right across from Cesar’s Monument and the Cat sanctuary. Walked very late at night and felt completely safe. The room was perfect and smelled so good! They even had amenities in the bathroom. Very spacious. We had three people and they did charge us extra for the third person. Loved the location and customer service here. Breakfast was great but a little hard to find on the First floor in the other building. The elevator fit only 2 people max.

Hotel was good overall. Reception desk was nice and helpful and efficient. Room was clean, good size, fairly updated. Elevator very tiny (as mentioned in other reviews), and easier to take the stairs unless with luggage. Room faced an interior courtyard where garbage receptacles were stored - which was a bit unsightly and unpleasant to have to walk by in/out of hotel each day. Additionally, each night at about 11pm, rolling carts with laundry were hauled out, and were loud as they rolled on the cobble stones, disturbing if you're sleeping. Similarly, early mornings, as workers handle garbage disposal in the courtyard, guests can be awakened by loud talking, etc. Location was very easy and central walking distance to many things. A taxi stand was easily accessible across the street, and several cafe/restaurants are immediately outside the hotel, making it easy for breakfast - so no need to purchase hotel breakfast. And there is a mini-market across the hotel as well. All in all, a good stay minus the minor noise inconveniences.
