The hotel was tucked away in the Centro but very convenient to sights and all the delightful food and wine in Bologna. The room was efficiently designed and comfortable. Staff was extremely helpful. The rooftop bar was great for sunset drinks and a light meal.

Very kind and accommodating staff! The hotel is charming and very well kept, with a great rooftop deck perfect for aperitivo. My room was terrific - clean, smart, comfortable. The parking is a little bit of a nuisance, as the parkade is not on the hotel property and requires about 5min walk, but this is nothing out of the ordinary in the ZTL, and the staff were extremely helpful for getting me organized with the parkade. I would definitely return to Touring Hotel Bologna.

This is a superb hotel. The front desk staff gentleman was wonderful so helpful and nice. The terrace off of our room is exquisite as is the rooftop terrace with blankets and bar service.

Our whole stay was very enjoyable at the Hotel Touring. The staff are all very helpful and always want to do their best for you. Reception staff provide good advice. Our buffet breakfasts were included and offered good quality and variety. The main parts of the city are walkable and the more immediate vicinity can meet most needs, with varied and good choices for local restaurants serving regional dishes.

A gem of a hotel
We have stayed in a number of hotels in Bologna and this is by far our favourite. We enjoyed our stay and the service we received so much that we canceled reservations we had at another hotel for later in our trip and booked with the Touring Hotel for our return. The area is an older residential area, not so touristy, but the essential spots in Bologna were all within an easy walk. The view from the rooftop cafe made for a great start to our trip.

The Touring Hotel is conveniently located in the city’s historic district, and is easy to reach by city bus from Bologna Stazione Centrale. Since I am traveling alone, when I learned my room was in a separate building, I asked to be moved to another room in the main hotel. Staff member Marta went to great lengths to accommodate my request, which I anppreciated. Other staff were also exceptionally helpful. The hotel’s buffet breakfast was the best I’ve had so far in Italy. The hotel’s common areas were lovely and the views from their rooftop bar were beautiful. My room, however, was small and austere, but otherwise functional, and had a nice bathroom.

Very cute hotel within walking distance to all the major tourist sites in Bologna - and also a short walk to San Michele di Bosco park where you can hike up the hill, very easy, to have a picturesque view of the city and visit the beautiful church on top.

this is my second time to this hotel and once again I had a lovely stay. The concierge team are great and very helpful, the breakfast room and housekeeping teams are also so pleasant. The hotel is outstandingly clean, breakfast there is a very good continental choice. It's in a quiet area and so close to Piazza Cavour and Piazza Maggiore.
My only thing is that the rooms are a bit on the small side, we don't spend much time in them so it doesn't really matter but the cost is high compared to other hotels even in Bologna.

This hotel is a delightful find. It is quiet but in a great area with cafes, restaurants just around the corner. The hotel is spotless and well maintained, The rooftop area is lovely, looking out across the rooftops we just took a moment to take it all in. Access is free during the day but has a charge in the evening for when the restaurant and bar is open. The charge included a cocktail / drink but we never went up in the evening as we just never had time. The breakfast buffet was amazing, it had everything we needed for fueling up for the day. We had a junior suite with lots of room and a balcony, it was very quiet, clean, with a comfy bed and the mural on the ceiling a lovely touch. We really enjoyed staying in this hotel and would have no hesitation in returning, something I don’t say often. Bologna is a small city I felt comfortable strolling around taking in all of the atmosphere, sights, shops, food and gelato, lots of gelato. Coming back to this lovely hotel after our time exploring was just perfect. Top notch stay, thank you.

It was really a great stay in Bologna. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and kind. Their suggestions for places to eat were really great as they were not touristy and places where local people ate which is what we wanted.
Also suggestions for places of interest to visit were terrific.
They were so helpful when we were trying to sort out about our boarding pass for our flight, without them we would never have managed it because the site crashed.
It was a pity that I didn't ask sooner for a feather pillow as I find the other kind give me headaches. The previous hotel where we stayed in Verona didn't have these pillows but these wonderful people found some feather pillows for myself and my husband which made our stay even better.
I can't compliment this hotel and staff more than I already have. Also it was very convenient to get to Piazza Maggiore and other venues. I would certainly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

They were so helpful when we were trying to sort out about our boarding pass for our flight, without them we would never have managed it because the site crashed.
It was a pity that I didn't ask sooner for a feather pillow as I find the other kind give me headaches. The previous hotel where we stayed in Verona didn't have these pillows but these wonderful people found some feather pillows for myself and my husband which made our stay even better.
I can't compliment this hotel and staff more than I already have. Also it was very convenient to get to Piazza Maggiore and other venues. I would certainly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

We stayed at the Hotel Touring twice: 3 days at the beginning and 3 at the end of our trip. The staff is helpful, knowledgeable, and super friendly. Breakfast is substantial, the neighborhood is perfect for exploring central Bologna, and the rooms are quiet. There are older rooms that are getting a facelift, but are still very comfy. The new ones are more contemporary with newer elevator, stronger hairdryers, and larger safes. The terrace and garden rooms are great for a limoncello at the end of a long day of walking. The price is right and includes a buffet breakfast. Would definitely stay there again.

This hotel is in a great location and the rooftop terrace and complimentary breakfast are both quite impressive! The room we were in initially was a bit small and awkwardly laid out, however, we were upgraded to a room with a balcony and that was absolutely wonderful! The staff go above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of and we will be back the next time we visit Bologna.

Hotel Touring was an amazing place to stay in Bologna. It is more expensive then others but it is quiet, staff is friendly and the breakfast is great. They also have a roof top terrace which is €12 for guest to enjoy which includes one drink. The location is great for all the sights but a bit of a walk to the train station about 4kms. We had backpacks and walked both ways under the porticos. Recommended by Rick Steves which is how we found it. Rooms are modern with windows that open. We will be staying here again in the future.

They do not turn the air conditioning on in March, even if it is warm outside. The only way to get any air in the room is to open the window. Unfortunately, the hotel is situated in an extremely busy area full of bars and cars and people yelling and honking and screaming. I had a completely sleep last night and will never stay in this hotel again.
