Great location - walking distance to Kemeraltı Market and the Clock Tower, with lots of shops and restaurants nearby.

The room had some issues: the bathroom sink was tiny and splashed a lot, and even though it was non-smoking, there was a strong cigarette smell. It was a bit hard to find at first since the street isn’t accessible by car, so I had to be dropped off and picked up from the main road or the street next to it.

They have a water dispenser in the lobby, which was nice, but my tea wasn’t refilled during the stay.

Location was great:
The famous bazaar was 8 min away to the left of the property and there's a metro station nearby as well.

To the right u just walk 3 min to the nearest tram that can take u to Alsancak or u can walk for max 7 min to arrive to a very nice college style neighborhood.
It reminded me of New York honestly.

Room was extra clean and facilities are great.

The receptionists were more than perfect and helpful and polite gentlemen.

All in all perfect hotel.

The air conditioning in our room was barely working. It’s 40 degrees outside and we’re traveling with a baby. We asked them to change our room but they didn’t accept. I asked for a fan they said the AC is fine! My son got dehydrated and sick during the night. Next day I told them to either change the room or I leave, they said they are fully booked. So I hot another hotel. When checking out they said oh we can change the room!!! There was black mold in the AC filter and bathroom.

The hotel is relatively cheap, the staff was fine, and it is within walking distance of many nice things to see in Izmir. Unfortunately the room itself wasn't great. The bathroom was moldy, poorly ventilated, and the toilet continuously ran the entire time and the large flush option on it did not work. Towels weren't clean from the start and you have to specify that you want your room cleaned or else they won't which they didn't tell us. The bed had a thin unfitted sheet layed over the mattress and the only blanket we were given was thin and had holes in it. In addition the air conditioning did not work and the door to the \"balcony\" did not lock. Lastly the hotel is inaccessible by car and there is a small walk from any drivable street so finding it is awkward. Overall I would not recommend staying here based off of our experience.

Hotel marina is only a 2 minute walk to the metro which is fantastic. The rooms are nothing special, they have all necessary amenities but the walls are paper thin so you can hear EVERYTHING in the hallway and in other rooms. I had to wear earplugs in my room as I kept getting woken up just from footsteps and voices

Had hairs in the kettle and on the sheets as soon as we walked in staff were rude and tried taking more money than we was supposed to pay an incident happened where we left a towel on the floor he told us to pay for it more then a towel worth so I had to give them a towel very rude staff except this one gentlemen overall I don’t rate it even a 1 star

A great base for exploring Izmir.

Booked by low price, central location and description, so we were very pleasantly impressed by the efficient welcome and check-in on arrival, mid-afternoon, and to find impeccably clean, neat rooms. We enjoyed our cup of tea with the kettle provided, and the minibar offerings were very good (even if not used!) and noted the restaurant offered orders if required. The optional buffet breakfast gave us an excellent choice. However, it was a nice walk to the Kordon and Alsancak dining areas, very close to the tramway, so we enjoyed our 24 hours sight-seeing in Izmir thoroughly. Only slight drawback is it is in a very quiet area at night, being in a busy shops area by day. Of course, parking in Izmir is an issue, but Reception were very helpful directing us to safe paid parking. Giving friends the hotel name!

Nice place to stay as for the room but location is the worst, its in an alley which gets dark and probably dangerous after dark, entrance is alway wet from dirty running water, my window view was of delapidated buildings and roofs, my AC did not work, alot of noise and music, and my balcony door did no lock, secondly as i checked out they had to inspect the room while i wait to see i didnt drink their “$1 coke in the mini room fridge” which all other hotels just ask and take your word for it. I wouldn’t feel safe to leave or come after dark especially being a tourist.

Otel beklediğimden çok çok daha iyiydi. Çalışanların iletişimi oldukça güzel, odası ferah, modern ve geniş, içindeki eşyalar kullanışlı, banyosu büyük. Kahvaltısı da açık büfeye göre ortalamanın üzerindeydi. Sokak sokak kahvaltı aramaktansa burada yaptığım için memnunum. Tek sıkıntısı arabayla gelenler için park yeri olacaktır çünkü ara sokakta kaldığı için giriş yapılmıyor sanırım belli saatlerde ama gece vakitlerinde otel önüne park edebiliyorsunuz. Geçirdiğimiz vakitten biz memnun kaldık. İlgi ve alakaları için Marina Hotel'e teşekkür ederiz.

There was no car park. The hotel is in the covered bazaar and after the bazaar is closed, the hotel is accessed by car and the car has to leave before 10 am. The navigation constantly makes you draw a circle. The hotel room was not as in the photo. It was smaller and older and the air conditioning was faulty.

Great stay!

I stayed at this hotel to stay in Izmir. I was a little nervous because it was my first time there, but the hotel staff were really kind and helpful. When I asked questions about things I didn't understand, they kindly explained them to me. It was clean and everything about the hotel was perfect. I'll say it again, the hotel staff are wonderful. I think this is a hotel where foreigners can stay with peace of mind. I'm really grateful to the hotel staff. Thank you.

Great value modern hotel with lovely breakfast

Great location in a buzzing local area near shoreline harbour with local shops and near metro station and easy 15 minute walk into Konak which is a vibrant hub for eateries and local sights like clock tower. Room was lovely, clean and with a lovely bathroom.
Staff very friendly
Buffet breakfast is fantastic in a nicely decorated modern dining room.
Tip: ask for a room with a front view as otherwise you have a view of the side of a building and air conditioning units.

The location of the hotel is fine, close to the sea and the metro station. However, the wifi network there is a nightmare. I can't have even 1 minute uninterrupted use of the network. I had a hard time using the wifi for video meetings. Also, the cleanness needs some improvement, there was smell from the bathroom and the quilt pilling is really uncomfortable.

A perfect budget hotel with high standards.

This was a little gem, clean, friendly and great value for a budget price. The area is slightly down trodden but very central. The 302 bus from the bus station is almost door to door. Car parking is a little difficult but doable if you're lucky. We would definitely recommend the Marina.

The worst hotel I stayed in during my trip to Türkiye. The staff were very uneducated. They did not help with the luggage. For car parking, they said it was ok at first, but then they said it was not possible. I was a cold person and my husband is warm. We use air conditioners And I use a blanket. They said that it is hot season and they gave bedding .
The room and bathroom were dirty and unusable at all.

First of all, just for people visiting , the area is not the best. During nights starts a bazar for used electrical material, smell of melted wires or
not sure what it was was bothering us whole night. Secondly, the isolation of the room is very poor, as well , I couldnt sleep
all night due to some men and women sounds all night long. hope hotel owner will take this message and not
let inappropriate people inside or at least make aware people
with children , elderly that this kind of behaviour is going to be present and whether i can accept it or not.

Marina Hotel is in a convenient location just off one of the city center's main streets; near to Basmane train station and just a 10 minute walk to the bazaar and the Kordon. The hotel staff are very helpful. The cleaning staff work very hard. The breakfast was satisfactory.
I would give this hotel a rating of 10 except for the bathroom. It is the tiniest I have ever seen and there is no enclosure for the shower, therefore everywhere gets wet. It was very uncomfortable to use the bathroom; this was in the single room.
Other than that I recommend Marina Hotel.

It could have a been a good experience but they double charge me. I booked at expedia but upon arrival the receptionist said I can pay in cash, I gave in cash more than what I was supposed to pay (I thought there were taxes), and they said I´ll have the receipt by email (never got it). Later I was charged by Expedia. Trying to deal with it Expedia was not great... to say the least and I ended up awake until 3am talking to them and getting a smaill coupon! Fraudulent and ridiculous!!!

Walkable distance to Train Station. Main area of town.

We stayed for three nights. They did not make our rooms, two bath towels for two people for three days, had to validate our room keys every day. NO
Supplies were replenished ( Coffee OR water).
It was difficult to find the hotel even for the local Taxi guys.Two approach roads were blocked and we had to walk the last 100 meters towing our luggage.
We will not be staying at this hotel a second time.

But they did offer BF for 110 lira/person/day which we did not accept.

This is NOT a kid friendly place. The first day we got into the hotel, my daughter tripped on the wall trim jutting out of the bed frame and got a big gash on her eyebrow from the wooden bed frame corner. There are wooden corners everywhere in the small room.

We all stubbed our toes and was bleeding from the tiny nails that were sticking out of the bed frame in the floor.

The patio door cannot lock so the young children kept going outside the balcony that has a big gap to fall through to the road below.

Room service is also no existent despite putting out the ‘Please clean my room’ sign. We had to hunt down the housekeeper everyday for towels and had to take out our own garbage. We were there for 4 nights and when we checked out, then the housekeeper or owner quickly went to check out rooms for extra fees to charge.

The hotel owner imposed extra costs upon check out without previously notifying us such as charging extra for towels that they perceived as too dirty to be cleaned, tea cup from the dining room found in the room and asking for €5 for each cup.

This hotel also will not provide you with a second room key.

The staff has generally poor attitude and are rude. Eye rolling or sighing when asked a question or when requesting something.

Wifi beyond the front lobby is also terrible. The kids can’t even watch a normal Netflix/Disney show on their tablet without it cutting off often. We were on the 3rd floor.

All you need :)

I liked this hotel. The staff was very helpful and the room was clean. If you wanted to get a transfer to Ephesus or Pergamum, all you have to do is ask the staff. The location of this hotel was also good. The breakfast was ok also. Highly recommend. :)
