This hotel is really interesting and quirky but its location in the middle of 10 car yards and rooms 110, 220, 310 upwards being on a major road into Ipoh makes it untenable unless you’re deaf. Honestly we found from dusk until 4am the noise from trucks, loud motorbikes and traffic to be unbearable and I am 60% deaf in one ear.

Room was small, window let in natural light but no view. Sliding door to the bathroom took considerable effort to open/close, and when in the open position it completely closed off access to the refrigerator & tea/coffee making facilities. Sliding door into the shower barred access to the toilet when in the open position, an interesting way to save space. Front desk staff were friendly & helpful.

The adjacent BFF Restaurant opens late, so it did not provide a good option for us for breakfast.

We stayed 2 nights in a normal double room. The hotel is very nicely decorated, in a great location and the staff are super friendly. The gym was also a nice touch for us and at the price we payed, we can’t complain.

My only mention would be the cleaning services. When we arrived there was previous guest towel still hung up and quite a lot of hair on the floor in the bathroom. The rain shower also needed cleaning.

The hotel is very lovely inside. It’s easy to walk to the old town and there are lots of food places in the old town. I cannot get into a lift due to claustrophobia and the Staff were very accommodating allowing me to take the stairs and ensure I had access.

The rooms are not soundproof, so you can hear everything going on in other rooms and hallway, including the sound of the lift and water noises in the pipes. The staff were helpful in that they immediately moved us to another room, but there the air conditioning vents from other rooms rattled our windows which completely prevented sleep. On the second night, having complained our room was changed again - while the sound in this room was better, the bathroom was mouldy and had hatched insect casings in it. In general, the beds are uncomfortable and rooms are very small.

The hotel is definitely IG worthy with it’s decor and theme rooms but the noises from adjacent rooms and road noise are bad.
The hotel should consider installing double glasses to minimize the road noises especially from loud exhausts motorcycles.
Loud closing doors and thin walls were quite unbearable, glad my stay was only one night.

Cozy retreat.

M boutique hotel never disappoints. This is my 4th time here. The bed is super comfortable and you can get a good night's sleep. There are coffee/tea making facilities , a fridge,safe, bathrobes etc The bathroom is tastefully decorated with sufficient toiletries. One concern is the chandelier above the bed🙃

Nice place to stay for a short trip to Ipoh. It’s near to all the food places and attractions that we wanted to visit. Ample parking spaces outside the hotel. bar opposite the hotel so it’s nice to drink after a day out. However cleanliness could be improved and the check in process could have been more efficient. Would recommend if you’re heading to Ipoh for a food trip!

Overall it’s a nice little room with essential amenities but lack of maintenance. Some tiles are missing, bathroom floor not so clean at the corners,curtain unable to fully blockout evening sun that shine on my head, if you don’t take afternoon nap will not be affected. Nice and quite unless they place you on 1 floor next to the gym and washing facilities

This is a great concept hotel. I can't give it more stars, however, due to it's out of the way location and the condition. Our room had a neat African safari theme, but that doesn't matter when there is dirt crusted in the corners of the bathroom, torn towels, and torn throw pillows.
Do not expect to stroll to close by convenience stores or eateries - hotel is in an industrial location and quite isolated.
Still, if you have transportation, this can be a fun one night stop.

Lovely hotel just a few things missing .. like water glasses in the room! Water was provided but nothing to drink from.
The lamps in the room could only be switched off at the mains and the socket was loose on the wall.
Otherwise almost everything was lovely.
The location is about 10 mins from the station so reasonably handy especially with a “grab”.

I stayed for 1 night at M Boutique. I found it to be very modern and had all the conveniences and luxuries that I needed for 1 night. The room is small but it had everything from a mini fridge, hot water kettle, filtered water, slippers, bath products. I liked that there was a gym and I even squeezed in a quick workout. The hotel receptionist is so nice and welcoming. This hotel is located not in the old Ipoh centre but a very convenient 5 min Grab to the heart of downtown. I highly recommend this hotel.

Decent and nice boutique hotel and the reception was beautiful but the room space is really small. Good for short stays for that size but not longer. There is nothing much around the area in terms of food, only 1 or 2 coffee shop/food court diagonally opposite the hotel. Also, I did not put out the make up room sign but yet when we came back from outside, the room was made up and towels changed :( Lucky we did not place any valuables in sight. Hotel staff should take note of traveller's needs.

Not a gd hotel to stay cos the room is very small. The smallest room i ever stayed yet the price is considered expensive. The room n toilet r not clean. A lot of stain marks. So is the wardrobe. No space to even put 2 cabin bags. Room is as small as HK Kowloon hotel rooms. So you can imagine. Location is not good at all for tourists who wants to sight see or enjoy Ipoh food.

Nice decorated boutique hotel. Fast check in and free parking provided behind the hotel. Location is good.
Stayed for 1 night at room 210. My complain will be the aircond is too noisy and not cold enough. The shower water temperature is not consistent as the water temperature will turn hot and cold which it's annoying.

In conclusion, still a recommended boutique hotel to stay but some maintenance need from the hotel side.

Location - on the outskirts of town, nothing of interest in the area, no shops or restaurants nearby (that were open - there is a grill restaurant across the road, but we didn't see it open either day we were there). Walk to city about 30 minutes, streets are very safe, so no problem walking.

Accommodation - hotel is beautifully fitted out, very retro, modern comfortable rooms

Eating - Breakfast, choice of 2 cafes, basic selection in Western style cafe... Asian option in coffee shop was more comfortable (and looks like they had cereal)

Wi-fi - weak signal, had to revert to using phone

Summary - recommended for an overnight stay
