The hotel room was a bit dated, but it's value for money. The breakfast was a surprise. It served a variety of food and there were some changes every day. For housekeeping, you needed to ask the reception to arrange every day. When I checked in at the hotel, the hotel asked for our payment of RM3 city tax and RM10 tourist tax per room per night. Despite Expedia's confirmation email has written that Expedia would pay that tourist tax, the hotel insisted that we needed to pay both taxes unless we had the payment receipt.

Aircond & tv constantly turned on and off by itself. The switch board can be heard tripping all the time. The constant tripping is very annoying and irritating. This matter was informed to the staff but no action was taken.

Apart from that, the shower drain is clogged. Appreciate more effort is taken to maintain the rooms.

Acceptable conditions in general for the room rate charged. Amenities limited. Just enough room for 2 carry on suitcases and just 4 hangers on wall. No chair. Double room is kind of small. Ok for just over night stay. However, it has good and inexpensive food around and walkable to sights.

Comfortable hotel near attractions

This is a great little hotel. The staff let us check-in about an hour early, and also changed our room for the second night as there is a club next door (we were originally in 705), so it was extremely noisy until 1am! Request a room on the back side, further away from the club, and you won't have a problem (moved to 615). The location was good, it was close enough to walk to the main attractions and also within walking distance to the train/bus stations (around 1-1.5km). There is also a Sunday secondhand market, which has some amazing bargins and also fruit. The rooms are comfortable, a decent size, with a good shower, it had AC and also a comfortable bed. They also have water machines near the lifts, so you can refill your water bottles.

Get the good deal at below 100 and stay at the corner of 7th floor. however the party downstairs and restaurant nearby is waking u up for all night. If you get drunk might be the good option to have good night sleep. Unfortunately the sound can hear clearly and loudly.

Overall OK but hotel making false information

I have stayed at this hotel several times. And so far, it has been relatively fine until this latest booking. When I made the booking it stated \"gift upon arrival\". When I checked in, nothing of that sort so I asked receptionist who said no such thing. Then I showed what appears on Hotels.com website. The staff said he will check but he NEVER got back to me and said nothing when I checked out. Clearly showing no intention of helping but merely to get me off his back by saying he will check. Showing false impression of helping but clearly no intention to help So, I ended up writing to Hotels.com with this feedback to say I am so disappointed that Hotels.com allow and support such misrepresentation of information. Very disappointed. Although I was not expecting much from a gift but stating false information really spoils the stay at the hotel. How could you trust the hotel anymore?

People working at this hotel never smile, they must hate the job.
I stayed for 3 nights, everyday have to remind them to replenish toilet paper, toiletries, drinking water bottles. The house keeping only does cleaning and the above must be at request.
The walls seems old and cracking
For extra pillow you need to put a deposit.
No fridge in the room
Tv programs all local channels- no movie channel.
Sunday it’s noisy due to flea market.

The bed and towel is a bit greyish...(lucky me I did have my own blanket and I sleep on it) other than the greyish other is ok. The room is small but not a matter to me since I stay for only one night. With the price plus location you can’t expect much... it’s just a simple budget hotel. If you have car there are hotels that same price but better condition, it just further from town.

Decent hotel for sleeping

Location is okay and there are a couple of eateries and convenience store not too far from it. The site is away from the main road and hence it is less noisy. Room is pretty okay for a decent sleep. Housekeeping is done daily. however, the bedsheets have holes and some stains in them. Bathroom is decent and it will be good if there is a teaspoon for making of hot drinks. There is also a water dispenser (hot and cold) outside each floor.

I have stayed several times in Pi Hotel. I tried to change my booking due to unforseen circumstances. I called Hotels.com 1800 and the other number several times but put on hold for more than two songs so I hung up. I wrote a feedback to Hotels.com of my intentions but nobody called me or assisted me until I called again several days later. I checked into hotel spoke to receptionist in English and she (Indian) spoke to me in Mandarin. The check in took ages but it was not busy with three receptionists working at the counter then she gave me the receipt before asking me for the RM50 deposit. No complaints about the room except hair dryer not working. Location central but service really need to buckle up

Visited on a non-peak weekday.
Overall condition is satisfactory, although the condition of room started to show sign of lack of maintenance - there were black mark on the wall, and stain in the toilet.
The hotel facility is still new - including aircon, bed and shower.
A good thing is hotel has it's own basement car park, also water dispenser at each floor.

The room is small with worn-out but comfortable bedding, nice cool aircond, tv with all the normal channels. The bathroom is clean and water pressure is good for a satisfying shower. Bath gel and shampoo in the dispenser on the wall. The hotel has a lift and basement parking with security. there is a 24hrs mamak shop beside the hotel for food. The location of the hotel is quiet for a good nite sleep at night. However on sunday morning there is a weekly flea market on the road in front of the hotel.

The Hotel provides all the basic essential and is clean. The rooms are very compact but suffice for a good nights rest and sleep. The only dissatisfaction was the towels which looked worn out and dirty looking. Otherwise my stay was good and would recommend to my friends who are business travel.

This is my second stay a year later. The room I was given this time, there are several big stain marks on the walls which needs some cleaning up or a fresh coat of paint. There are some wires sticking out form the hangers rack. Otherwise, it is fine. Fairly good location. Staff friendly. An arts exhibition supposedly to be currently on but no lights are on at the venue, food left overs from a function at the venue still there not cleared.

Nice stay. Paid a deposit of RM50 returnable upon check-out. Previously no deposit required. Strategic location, within walking distance to town area. This is my 4th time staying here. Love that the concept of tune hotel is remained, simple yet it feels like home. Functioning water heater and hair dryer, numerous tv channels, overall good experience for a budget hotel. If you need a room with bathtub, get their signature room at 2nd floor.

OK for the price

If you are just looking for a place to sleep/rest, then it's a good choice. The standard double room was a bit small but it was ok for a one night stay in Ipoh. Room was clean and everything else was working fine. There was no electric kettle in the room but they provide water dispenser with hot/cold water on each floor. There was no iron, you have to go to the ironing room where there is one iron available.

Budget hotel with quiet location

Hotel Pi was converted from the former Tune hotel. I have stayed in this hotel for few times, both under Tune and Pi. The room rate is reasonable and budget enough for the equally basic quality and facilities. Although this hotel throws in all the available facilities that were set up by the former Tune hotel, such as TV, linens, unlimited usage of air conditioner, there is lacking an ambience of a local hotel or family hotel. Nonetheless, I found the pricing in Hotel Pi to be good value for that level.

The room is decent and clean, which is serviced daily. The toilet is quite bare with provision of shampoo and shower gel. Check in and out time are strictly applied. The hotel is located on the side street where the Sunday morning market is held. It is also about 5-10 minute walk to the city old town.

overall, it was ok. The room was unexpected. Not much walking space and can be a little uncomfortable if there is 2 people staying. Was disappointed because there is no cabinet or locker to put clothings and there's only 3 hangers for me to hang my clothes. If there is a breakfast, it would be better.
