Since the moment we checked in we were welcomed by Promise Samuel who is always so welcoming. We actually came to Continental Hotel because Promise works there. We followed him from a previous hotel and decided to stay at continental because he is friendly, efficient, and just a pleasure. The hotel staff were also all friendly. Everyone is welcoming and always there to help you with anything that you may need. The breakfast buffet was wonderful and I appreciate the variety of food options that are provided. I love the option of being able to build your own omelette. I didn’t realize they also do fried eggs if you ask, I will have to do that on my next stay. Overall great place to stay.

I stay at the Lagos continental quite often, and it is normally an excellent hotel. This time I have to say, the room really let me down. It was very, very damp. When I mentioned this, somebody came with a spray to try and hide the smell. After just a couple of hours. It was back. I only stayed there one night, so it was not unbearable. But I would expect more from a hotel of this calibre

The hotel was top notch. Security was great. Staff treated me very well and were professional. Hotel was clean. They held different events. Food was good and lots of variety of foods. The only thing was when I ordered room service they brought the wrong order but the correct it.

My room wasn’t as clean as It should have been. I could not use the bath because the tub looked old and dirty. I had to repeatedly ask for washcloths that should have been provided each time the room was cleaned. There was no robe present, no ironing board or iron. When I reserved the room there was supposed to had been a minibar included but I was told that they do not offer that service even though it’s advertised. I expected more from a room that’s expensive and I was staying for 9 days.

The service was great. Everyone was helpful and kind. The buffet had great options.

The lagos continental is beautiful. The staff are friendly, helpful, and always wearing beautiful smiles. However, for a 5 star hotel, the rooms may need some renovations to reflect the times and give occupants a true 5 star experience.

The hotel is beautiful and very clean; although a little outdated. The buffet was very good during breakfast and dinner; offering a diverse array of foods. All the staff my family & I encountered were exceptional. The bathroom in our suite only had a rain shower head that worked and the water from the shower spilled out into the entire bathroom floor. I would definitely recommend as a foreign traveler from America.

The standard in this property has fallen. The AC ij my room didn't work for the 3 days i was there and i didn't sleep well. Coming drom Texas, this eas a horrible experience. I reported this iasue and it was never fixed. Also called and waited for the bellman for over an hour and they didn't show up. I had to carry my 2 heavy bags by myself to the car.

My stay was exceptional. I’ve always stayed at Lagos Continental but this time, it was spectacular. I went with my husband and 2 teenage kids for 8 nights. Our adjoining club rooms were very clean and comfortable. Very nice amenities. We only ever ate at Ekabo and the food was fantastic! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Everyone at concierge, especially Samuel, helped to ensure we had our car hire set up and ready for us each day. He even went to the supermarket to get Gatorade for my daughter when she was ill. He assisted us with many sight seeing activities culminating in a wonderful yacht cruise on the Lagoon. He went above and beyond. They had a jazz band at the pool one night when we hanging out with our extended family. The next morning, there was an electric guitar player at the breakfast buffet at Ekabo. We appreciated all these many touches they added that made our stay extra special

When we originally checked in our two twin room wasnt ready so my friend and i had to share a king bed which wasnt an issue. But there were a couple of plumbing issues in our room but the staff was very quick to respond and fix the issues. Concierge, reception, and dining staff were all super friendly and very helpful. Would recommend staying here!

This is a fantastic hotel on Victoria Island in Lagos. It is beautiful inside and the view from the pool deck is amazing. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great! The hotel restaurant Soho was delicious!

Horrible customer service. Booked on Expedia, paid in full only to be messaged, on Expedia, that I need to send funds to some account for the first nights stay. Cant enjoy pool because it’s a restaurant area and they demand you sit down and take a menu, not treated like an amenity for guests. Breakfast $25 USD per person, for mediocrity, rudeness, waiting 45 min for coffee. Nice hotels at less cost in area. $259-263 USD per night! Criminally overpriced unprofessionalism.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Lagos Continental.
Special mention to Omolara and Nimmy who went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant.
The hotel is located well for ease of travel around Victoria Island. We only breakfast in the hotel and that was of a good standard. We used the roof terrace bar a few times, that too was pretty good. We swam in the pool, it is very clean and maintained well - clean towels are provided and changing rooms are in decent condition. We indulged ourselves and had a massage by the in house Oriki SPA - also decent with staff that went above and beyond to mark our 25th Wedding Anniversary celebration, thank you.
There certainly is room for improvement here and there - decor is dated and could be refreshed.
Overall a good place to stay in Lagos | good value for money and the staff are the key to making everything work - they try very very hard.

Check in took more than 30 mins. TV did not work in the room. Laundry service forgot to pick up my clothes.

Everytime is signed for something on the room there was a long delay even when I informed the staff in advance. They often told me I had no credit when I did ( they check again and confirmed ).

I was overcharged on my credit card when checking out. A refund to the credit card couldnt be given until the middle of the following week. They then offered me a bundle of naira as a refund.

My fourth time staying at this hotel and will be my last.

Lagos Continental is a beautiful hotel. Staff are friendly and polite. Their Sunday brunch was a complete experience on its own. Wide variety of foods and entertainment to go with it. Also, their security is top notch as it would be quite difficult for you to get to the guest rooms if you weren’t a guest and did not have permission from a guest. However, I feel they still have a bit more to to do to catch up with the Intercontinental brand in many other parts of the world. Overall, it was a great experience.

It is a beautiful hotel aesthetically nice with great security but it is filthy! The whole 12th floor smells of strong damp we asked to have our toom changed due to the strong smell. We were given a humidifier which leaked despite us telling the hotel my son had asthma and we couldnt stay in the room.it took over 3 hours for them to eventually move us after multiple calls to recasking gor an update. We were not mived until after 2am with a child.
Both rooms were firty, dusty, toothpaste marks on mirrors and the yoilet and shower doors look like they havent been cleaned in years. They are full of soap, dirt, and water marks. Thisis nota 5 star hotel. it's a 3 star if that.

This property will overcharge you and not refund your money. I paid for the reservation on Expedia and they charge MORE than the entire amount on the card that I left for incidentals. I have spent 4 hours and over a month trying to get this resolved from both Expedia AND the hotel to no avail. Buyer beware.

Good Property but maintenance is terrible and people do not care what guests need.. they leave dirty cutlery in the room.. desk has spill over of gravy from previous guests' meal.. dirty tissue beneath the bathtub.. room locker does not work (even on reporting this on Day1&Day2, they do not repair).. ONLY good thing was the Chinese restaurant.. Excellent food and good service.

The hotel is great, extremely well run with very good food including the chicken “ triangle “ pies from the cafe in the lobby which for 5000 Naira are awesome and a meal in themselves.
Roof top pool and facilities were excellent.
It’s not a problem of the hotel, but of Lagos that you feel you can’t just go for a walk outside the boundaries of the hotel. Saying that everyone I’ve met in Lagos has been friendly and courteous.
