What can l say about our stay here.
It a bit of a way to walk into the town. The path were different . Taxi a bit hard to find. But saying all of that was it worth it YES YES YES. Now about the Hotel well it was wonderful. It only small but perfect just on the beach, The room we had massive beautiful view. They serve breakfast which was great. Can do Food as well, well cooked.
Now for the best stuff the Staff you could not asked for a more friendly group of People. Mega is wonderful hostess the staff could not do enough for us. Would we go Back in a heart beat. We paid for bigger hotel on this holiday. Out of the three this was the best. Thank you all for everything. Missing you all

This property is better suited for longer stays than short ones in Lovina. Apartment setup with kitchen is handy, but it's a 2.5 km walk into the center of Lovina (Lovina Beach Statue) for most shops and dining options. The hotel pool is nice, but the beachfront is not great for swimming -- very shallow for a great distance, even at high tide. Cental Lovina beach is better. Using Grab or Gojek is a good option to visit Singaraja, local sites, waterfalls, etc. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and breakfasts were good.

It was a huge 1 bedroom apartment, which was good as it helped block out some of the traffic noise. Staff were really nice and helpful, the night watch man booked a dolphin watching trip for me at the same price as it would have been in town, and I was picked up by the boat right in front of the hotel. Breakfast was adequate. The property is a 30 minute walk from the main drag,

I liked that I was able to book the dolphin tour through them however the guide we had for the tour went so fast for so long when we were swimming with the dolphins that we ended up having to hold on to the bamboo stick for literally dear life, me and my girlfriends arms were so tired cause we were just being dragged along so fast against the water all because he was trying to catch up with the dolphins

Place was great. Room was huge. Loved having a private balcony and large sofa to chill on. The one complaint I had was the shower. It was either really cold or really hot. Hard to take a shower. The area is really quite. Not a good beach to hang out at. Local beggars are constantly after $$$. The pool was a nice getaway. Staff was attentive and very nice.

This is our third time staying here. We love it so much that every time we’ve come to Bali, we’ve ended up extending our stay at Dolphin longer than initially planned.

It’s very clean, the people are so kind and hospitable. The food is great. They have a shuttle to take you around.

Good hotel

Lovely apartment, super staff, great food. Only downsides were the shower temperatures either scolding hot or cold and the noise of a neighbouring hotel's air-conditioning unit which couldn't be prevented by the staff. Loved the pool and the breakfast was delicious.

My wife and I were looking for a quiet relaxing place to stay for a couple days and this hotel was perfect for what we were looking for. The property is a bit dated but the staff were amazing and the dolphin guide was great other guides would cut trip short after seeing the dolphins our guide let us decide when we wanted to return. We would definitely stay again.

It was a bit out from the main town area. They offer a shuttle to the town for a price unless you go at 9am for free. They didn’t have a driver when we were there and it was raining so we had to walk in the rain to get to dinner. Other then that great service, clean and comfy rooms, I would recommend it again.

Quiet and lovely hotel on Lovina Beach

The staff is amazing - so kind and friendly. Wonderful room decorations! Spacious suite - bedroom and living room with refrigerator, hot water kettle, Cable TV and AC. In-room safe was helpful. Beautiful bathroom with sunken bath. While showering at night, the hot water finished, which was uncomfortable. We found mosquitos because room doors are not sealed well. Beautiful pool. Hotel right on the beach. Beautiful views at sunrise!

Right on the beach

The penthouse suites have an upper floor balcony overlooking the beach, it's a lovely spot to sit.
Pool is fabulous.
Very handy to have shuttle for the short drive into Lovina Beach area where there is a variety of places to eat, drink & shop.
We'd stay again.

Very nice hotel, on a manicured property.

The stay was very nice, however the location is not ideal, unless you are ready to catch a ride to anywhere. There are two local restaurants which can be reached by walking on the beach, very dangerous to walk on the side of the road as the walk path has large open pits, which are very difficult to see during the night.

Pros:
Room - separate living room and bedroom, large
Location - Quiet neighborhood

Cons:
Cleanliness - sheets, towels, pillows, etc smelled of mold, had to use Fabreeze to spray everything before I could use and sleep!

Food - if you're in a jam the food is edible but better to eat elsewhere, lots of good restaurants in the area will offer free pick up and drop off, wish we had known this before!

Location - not very walkable to things, also pool area has lots of vendors bothering you to buy things when all you want to do is relax

Cash only - Saw multiple credit card machines and signs saying they accepted credit card but when we asked to pay by card they said they only accepted cash. Kind of confusing.

Beautiful room, friendly staff, gorgeous view!

Took my mum on holiday here for 10 nights in June. Arrived at around 1am and the staff member who met us took our bags up to our room (Penthouse 1), showed us around and then left us to it. All of the staff are so friendly, helpful and fun. Maga (sp?) and her husband Puta (one of the drivers) are extremely knowledgable about the island and good fun to talk to. Puta took us on a brilliant island drive after we had done the sunrise walk, showing us the temples, wildlife, flora and fauna and taking us to lots of beautiful hidden gems. Yodha (the other main driver) was brilliant fun, taking us into Singharaja market, showing us around and teaching us a lot about Balinese life. Great guys to share a beer with. The restaurant is amazing, simple but beautifully cooked meals (we only tried out the Indonesian menu) and all the waiting staff are friendly and eager to please. The rooms were cleaned every day (!), and the boys were again very friendly and helpful (noticing a theme here?). Cannot wait to go back there, it was absolute perfection!

The hotel itself is quite pretty but it is isolated. The staff is nice and helps in making trip arrangements including drives into town or shopping. The rooms are large and comfortable but there was a lot of mold in the bathroom. Sadly the ocean is quite polluted, I didn't even want to put my feet in the water.

Great apartment on the beach

Lovina Bali is a black sand beach. The beach was small and very dirty. The draw for the area is dolphin watching. Each morning many outrigger canoes take the tourists out to see the dolphin pod. When sighted the boats race up to them until they dive, but when they surface again in a different spot the boats rev up like ants to prey. I felt sorry for the pod.
The hotel is a bit distant from the town center, but the grounds, swimming pool and facilities are spacious and beautiful. The apartments have full kitchens and are clean and very comfortable.

A Must See and Must stay Getaway Resort

Very cozy. Was a long trip from Denpasar....about 3 hours. But once got there it was the peaceful relaxing place I we were looking for. The ocean is wonderful. The view are amazing! A must stay for an excellent price.

Very big room nice and clean but the bathroom was mouldy and a bit smelly , the large breakfast in the price was good as was the dinner we had here
The bottled water at 30,000 rp was three time the price of anywhere else in bali !!!
The beach and surrounding area are not clean but to finish on a positive the staff were fantastic

Peace & Quiet Hotel

Nice hotel, although a little sleepy, very quiet and relaxing. Huge, nice, clean rooms and good facilities, including coffee making, DVD, Foxtel etc. Meals/kitchen very average. No atmosphere in dining room, despite a beautiful view. Menu choice poor and delivered cold, almost inedible. Advice....eat else where. Lovely pool and gardens. Location average, a bit too far out of town for us (family of 4). Advertising disappointing as they say you can swim with the Dolphins off the beach..... Not so. You have to pay to go on a boat trip and then you're still. It aloud to get in the water.

Comfortable setting with direct access to the beach. The water was like bath water. It was amazing! Be careful with the fish flies at dusk! The internet was reliable. The air con in our one room didn't work great and the hot water in the other room was off and on. We paid a minimal cost for the shuttle into Lovina at anytime or you could go into Lovina at specific shuttle time in the morning.

Fantastic sea view

View from Penthouse 2 was superb, felt like you could almost touch the sea from the enormous balcony. Appartment fantastic size with massive living area. Staff very friendly and helpful. Pool adequate with plenty of sun loungers and seating in pleasant garden. Breakfast was good but need small improvement on order of service i.e. better to have fruit at the beginning and not hot drinks before the fruit juice and choice of cereal other than cornflakes would be good. The room had a small kitchenette which seemed pointless as there were no pots or pans so unable to cook anything as we stayed for 7 nights this would have been useful. Location was away from the centre of Lovina but easily walkable although the pavements left alot to be desired - if walking back along the beach buy a torch! Excellent relaxing stay but go for the upstairs penthouses with the large balconies or the downstairs room with sea view if you can afford them - well worth the extra money.

Surpassed all expectations

Wonderful place to stay if you like snorkelling right off the beach, water had good visibility and lots of fish and coral. Room was extremely clean and comfortable and staff were really helpful and friendly. Special thanks to Rocky for all the help he gave us and was great meeting Mona and Boy. Food in restaurant was good and really reasonable prices for food and drink and mini bar. Great having free shuttle into Lovina however wasn't a very long walk. Also great little restaurants in the town itself like Up to You, Akar - a lovely vegetarian cafe/restaurant and Jasmine a really nice Thai restaurant. Coffee at Up to You was awesome.

The Dolphin Beach hotel really captures all that is lovely about Bali. The staff are wonderful. The little strip of beach out front is quiet and clean. Very accomodating! I would highly recommend and wish I had planned to spend more of my trip here... it was the favorite of my entire trip around the island.

Nice hotel on the beachfront

The hotel is a 3 and 1/2 hour taxi drive from the airport. It's on an attractive side of the island to which there appears to be no regular boat. I wanted to get excellent wood carvings, and the hotel driver took me to a small nearby shop (with a dolphin on the sign) where I was able to obtain a suitcase-sized wall panel of birds and trees, the volcano and waterfalls. I arranged for the master carver of this panel from a nearby village to sign it, overnight, as he had not done so. Food is available at the hotel's restaurant all day. Expeditions to the ATM (walkable if desired), the local temples, the hot springs, special fruit sellers, coffee plantations etc. can be arranged for pay with the hotel drivers. Friendly shell sellers, pearl sellers and batik sellers will walk down the beach to offer their items for sale. They can be a bit of a nuisance if you want privacy, but have interesting things. The major, named, public beach nearby is Lovina Beach. \"Dolphin Beach\" has outrigger boats, fishermen and a large sandbar when the tide goes out. There don't seem to be many dolphins there anymore that I could see.

Nice apartment on public beach with black sand

The apartment was hard to find as the signage was incorrect and the locals weren't aware of it. The public beach attracts locals selling hand made goods at high prices, best to go to hot springs to buy anything as the competition is higher therefore you can get a better price.

Wow Factor

Out of the 5 apartments on offer we were booked into the one without an ocean view. For a small fee we were upgraded to penthouse 1. Amazing view, and very spacious. Huge bedroom, separate lounge area, huge bathroom and large deck. The service throughout our stay was incredible and the staff really helpful. The food was also very good. This was a wonderful place to relax and recharge.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Dolphin tour and traditional fishing right on your doorstep and lots of fun. Staff were terrific and thanks chef, loved your mango pancakes. Perfect for relaxation

Excellent little hotel right on the beach. Perfect for a relaxing getaway away from the hustle of Kuta. Just 3 hours by car. Staff were great, room was large and perfect with a lovely balcony a stones throw from the ocean. With only 5 rooms the hotel feels more like your own villa.

We visited the Dolphin Beach Hotel on Bali for a weekend and are extremely satisfied! Apart from the long way from Denpasar (airport) to Lovina (location of the hotel) it is really worth it! Even if it was a three hours trip we got to see some nice places like e.g. the monkey forest or the famous rice terrace during the trip. When we arrived at the Hotel, the staff welcomed us friendly and showed us our penthouse. Now we can confirm, that the photos are exactly the same as in reality, while sometimes you cannot be sure if photos from hotels via internet are correctly. Everything is tidy and clean and the view to the sea and garden is beautiful. The staff is not only friendly and nice, also really courteous and lovely. For example one of the staff wanted to know our names, so every time he served us, he could ask us personally and that felt so familiar in such a comfortable way we could not imagine. Instead of the beach in front of the hotel which is not really suitable for swimming you can use the nice pool, relax in it. On top you can enjoy a cocktail or a normal drink in the pool. You want to relax on Bali? This is the best place for you ;-)

It was perfect for us, having left an unacceptable accommodation situation on the Lovina coast...we loved everything about the Dolphin...cleanliness and quality was wonderful and the staff's attention to our every detail was exemplary....surrounding neighbourhood became irrelevant when we were in such an excellent hotel setting right on sea front in Penthouse 2, superb luxurious apartment with superb views....perfect for us....a perfect stay Thank you all at Dolphin!

Fantastic hotel

First class hotel with well thought out lay out and rooms tastefully decorated. Lovely touch with the little turtles in the running water feature. Excellent service, One of the best places I've stayed at. Beautiful rooms. Small but lovely pool. So clean and tidy. Just wonderful. Well done to both the owner and the staff. Beware: \"Junior Suite\" faces the road

Big disappointment. The \"Junior Suite\" that we got faces the road, so the \"garden view\" is a joke. The road is extremely noisy with motorcycles and trucks. Thankfully though, the suite is large and the bedroom itself can be closed so it doesn't get too noisy, but it pretty much has no windows to open. The bathroom window -to call the opening on the wall something- opens on the driveway of the hotel, so any noise will be heard by others walking by. The positives about this room would be the internet, which was reliable and the TV, which had a bunch of good channels. The staff was nice but nothing to write home about. I guess living in Thailand has spoiled us when it comes to good service. This was just normal. The breakfast was pretty lame. Just not happy about it. When I asked about the rooms facing the ocean -every other room besides the one and only \"junior suite\"- the guy in charge told me they were a hundred dollars more than ours, absolutely not worth it. The beach was dirty, the water very clean, the pool was nice to relax and cool off.

Astonishing room, the cheapest one actually being a suite with large living room, comfortable bedroom and nice bathroom. Excellent choice of occidental or indonesian breakfast. Location in a quiet area, 20 minute walk from Lovina center. Clean but rocky beach. Cheap and tasty warung nearby if you want to skip the good but relatively expensive restaurant. Staff is friendly but off after 9pm. Still a great value for money if you are looking for a relaxing stay in north of Bali.

Some work is needed to bring it back to its former glory. The view and pool area are the nicest parts. Lawns and garden needed upkeep. Rooms are not that modern but comfortable. Furniture and doors leading to the balcony are a bit worn and tired. Bathroom was originally built well with stone throughout but had mould in the shower and cracks in the bath and toilet. Towels were grey instead of white as not washed properly. Modernising of furniture and fixing wear and tear with a bit more attention to the snall things would certainly lift this hotel and be a fabulous place to cone back to. The staff were of course all very nice and accommodating and everything is very reasonably priced. Although on s busy night if you order room service, be prepared to wait an hour And half for your meal to arrive as they are under staffed for extra customers. Overall a pleasant stay but not exceptional as I have experienced elsewhere.

Wonderful Experience and Stay

Both my wife and I enjoyed the stay very much. It was my wife's birthday and they have extended their hospitality by providing a cake and bouquet of roses for her. The staff were very friendly and helpful and they made our stay very comfortable. The only downside was the transportation. It will be fabulous if they can offer free local transport around the town. After all there are only 5 rooms to handle. Anyway overall its a good stay. Will come back again and hopefully, the transportation will be free.

Amazing apartments!

We stay at Dolphin Beach Bali for 3 nights, we had penthouse #1: beautiful, huge apartment with a living room, a separate bedroom, gigantic bathroom, and an ocean view terrace! Staff is really helpful and polite. Food is delicious and inexpensive. The hotel is located about 6 miles from the Banjar Hot springs, and there is a snorkeling spot in front of the hotel that you can access with a fisher boat (about $12 for 2 hours). The pool is small but big enough for the 5 apartments. I really loved it!

Pleasant stay, honest employees

Stay at hotel was very pleasant. Junior suite was very spacious and clean. When checking out I was asked to pay, but I rememberd that I already paid when I booked the room. Hotel staff then checked with their management (who had to check with expedia) and confirmed that they did receive my payment indeed. When we were about to leave the hotel one of the hotel's staff members that started cleaning my room approached me and returned me my phone! Apparently I left it in the room. I am very happy that honest staff works at Dolphin Beach Bali!

Closer to the dolphin tour in the morning

The hotel room is fantastic, it will be better for the family suite have two toilets. There is a restaurant/ warung sells \"ikan bakar\" within walking distance, the food is delicious with local price. Hotel offered the free breakfast which is a \"place-to-order\" type, taste much better than buffet. The swimming pool is small. Some locals are selling stuff which might be disturbing although they cant enter to the hotel premises. The beach is not as nice compared to south bali.

Bra hotell i förhållande till det billiga priset. Stort rum, bra frukost, samt trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Men kort säng och för stora (höga) kuddar (borde funnit en lägre storlek också då det var dubbla kuddar), och någon daglig städning ingick tyvärr inte.

We had a family-room on the first floor, but learned that there was a room available on the ground floor with an ocean view. We asked if we could switch, which was not a problem. Very service minded and friendly.

Small intimate place

Small nice intimate place.
Good food.

We booked at big room with balcony and seaview !
But only had a room in floorlevel with terrasse.
Sorry allready booked.
Safe not working. A guest dropped the key.

We booked a morning trip to see dolphins.. just to recommend, and then back to have breakfast.

Piscine sur le bord de plage très jolie et agréable!
Hôtel un peu loin du centre, difficile d’y aller à pieds!
Certaines chambres donnent sur la plage et d’autres sur le parking, chambres pas lumineuses.

Schönes Hotel,direkt am Strand. Ideal zum Schnorcheln, das Riff liegt direkt vor der Haustür. Bei Ebbe zu Fuß 300m, bei Flut 150 m zu schwimmen. Tolle Unterwasserwelt.
Sehr schöner Pool. Das Zimmet hatte Wohnungsgröße.

Fine hotel at The beach. Good and clean pool at silence area. We had room number 3 and the room was fine, but we had some problems with toilet not working.

Goed hotel

Netjes hotel met schone kamers en een prachtig uitzich! Het enige nadeel is dat het aan een drukke weg ligt zonder stoep. Als je dus ergens heen wilt moet het al met een taxi want er zit bijna nika in de buurt, alleen andere hotels.

Fantastisk opphold hos fantastiske mennesker

Vi hadde et fantastisk opphold på Dolphin Beach - helt fra Putu hentet oss på flyplassen til tross for et forsinket fly og veldig treg bagasje.
Mega og Putu ordnet alt vi måtte ønske av turer til å se flotte vannfall fritt for andre vestlige turister, til templer, delfinsafari i soloppgangen og handleturer på det lokale markedet. I tillegg lærte Putu oss å lage Balinesisk fruktsalat.
Rommet var stort og fint, med normalt god WiFi-dekning til Bali å være.
God mat i restauranten og et nydelig bassengområde.
Putu har også en veldig flott og hyggelig vakthund av typen Chihuahua :)
Man kan fint gå til sentrum via stranden eller langs veien, langs stranden får man sett litt lokalt dyreliv som gjess, ville høns og ender.
Sist, men ikke minst: Putu er en genuint hyggelig og ærlig person, som virkelig ønsker det beste for folk rundt seg. Etter jordskjelvet 5. august i Lombok fikk vi umiddelbart melding fra Putu som lurte på om vi hadde det bra, da han visste vi skulle videre til Gili Trawangan

Nous avons séjourné 2 nuits dans cet hôtel à la fin du séjour et il y a du très positif comme très négatif.
Le sentiment général est donc positif mais mitigé. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour malgré nos nuits difficiles.

Positif
Face à la mer, piscine très agreabl, personnel adorable, restaurant bon, appartement très spacieux et matelas confortable, snorkeling pas cher

Négatif
Très très bruyant (proche d'une route très passante, mosquée juste à côté avec prière faites au haut parleur), le lot bouge bcp, pas du tout de pression sous la douche
