Staff were pretty brusk and a bit short with us at the front desk. Refused to let us check in til - exactly - 4pm even though they let others check in prior no questions asked.

Room was so warm so it was difficult to sleep, even with all the windows open and the thermostat on 0. Probably would stay at the Best Western next time, the room is smaller but much better experience.

Misleading room description

I ordered (and paid) for a twin room. I got a room with a double bed where an extra bed was put in. That is not okay.

As far as Scandic Hotels go this one is very good. Fairly modern and very clean. Easy parking and easy check in/out. The breakfast was nothing to write home about though.

Everything was good. Except parking issues If you are going with electric car just don’t trust you will get space to charge your car. Also if someone have park their car in electric charging spot they will not be asked by hotel to move there car even if it’s fully charged or not in use.

Man betaler 130,- pr døgn for parkering. Max timers ladning i el-bil. Dvs efter 4 timer skal jeg flytte min bil, og hvis der ikke er flere pladser (det sker ofte) må jeg parkere væk fra hotellet. Dermed har jeg betalt 130,- for holde og lade i 4 timer - udover ladeprisen. Det virker noget molbo-agtigt og må kunne gøres smartere.

Personalet var flinke og imødekommende.

Men havde valgt hotellet på 2 parametre, at det var tæt på Gødstrup hospital og at der i beskrivelsen var fremhævet parkeringsplads kun for hotellets gæster.

Ved ankomst fik jeg at vide jeg blot skulle tilkøbe parkering via EasyPark. Så jeg forudbetalte for 2 døgn.

Men det betød ikke en garanteret plads de 2 døgn. Kun når der var plads.

Værelset var ok som sådan, men ærgeligt at ankomme til et iskoldt værelse hvor varmen var helt slukket. Det tog en rum tid før værelset blev rart at være i.

Endvidere var det et meget gammelt TV, hvor det kun var muligt at se flow tv. Det havde jeg ikke forestillet mig.

Det bedste ved opholdet var venlige mennesker og god morgenmad.

Men jeg ville ikke overveje at overnatte på hotellet igen.

Ærgeligt at komme lidt sent og der så ingen parkering er og man skal ligge og køre rundt.
Dejligt med glutenfri morgenmad.
Kvaliteten af morgenmaden kunne dog godt være højere. Tørre agurker der er skåret for længe siden, scramble æg som er hældt ud af en karton, ikke meget hjemmelavet. Et hår i bacon.

De har fået den fikse idé, at man skal betale for at parkere ved hotellet, til trods for at der ikke er betalingsparkering et eneste sted i hele Herning. Derudover skal det også koste 100 kr ekstra at blive “opgraderet” fra to enkeltsenge på et bestilt dobbeltværelse til en dobbeltseng. Det bliver lidt for gennemskueligt griskt og det bliver uden mig som Ophelia fremover!

Selve opholdet var egentlig fint. God Seng og imødekommede og venlig reception, også overfor min søn på 4. Det var dog også ret lydt på værelserne ift. støj fra gangen sen aften. For lang ventetid i restaurant og bar. Det unge personale i bar og restaurant bør have bedre fornemmelse af prioritering ift. voksne par, der skal have deres vinmenu og en enlig mor med et træt barn på 4, der efterspørger 1 drik. Ventetid i 15 minutter på den børnevenlige drik, man kan få gratis til sit barn, som medlem af Scandic. Vi havde været afsted på tur og kom tilbage til hotellet omkring 18.30, hvor vi så ønskede at få drinken med på værelset og derfor fik vi besked på at vente. Hvis vi ville have den i baren, havde vi fået den med det samme. Hvilket egentlig burde være et fedt. Men der følte vi at det unge personale ikke havde den fjerneste ide om, hvordan det er at have en 4 årige med på tur og klokken er 18.30 (dvs. en lille time før egentlig sengetid). Men det lidt mere modne personale i receptionen var til gengæld meget servicemindet, imødekommende og havde klar flair for børn.
Jeg havde kontaktet hotellet i god tid ift. min søns mælke- og æggeallergi og fik af vide at der var et fint udvalg af alternativer til morgenmad. Men både plantedrik og plantesmør var for gammel. Fik tilbud nyt smør, men det havde udløbsdato i maj 2025. Og de havde desværre ikke flere pakker. Så min søn på 4, fik tørt toastbrød med honning, et par gulerødder og peberfrugt til morgenmad.

Fint til formålet!

Bare fint til formålet. Gode senge og dyner. Vi havde vinduet åbent om natten og kunne fra tid til anden høre en bil, så det skal man kunne leve med. Betalingsparkering ved hotellet og gratis parkering - 250 m fra hotellet. Det er efterhånden sjældent med sidstnævnte.

Blev ved ankomst modtaget af det sureste ansigt, der ikke var specielt imødekommende. Efter en dag på messe, havde vi virkelig brug for lidt mad, men heller ikke det kunne der findes løsning på. Vi forlod hotellet og ventede med at tjekke ind til om aftenen, hvor vi igen blev mødt af et surt ansigt, og manglende service gen. Til gengæld var det et helt andet service niveau i restauranten, hvor vi var meget imponeret, og sagde det faktisk også direkte. Meget opløftende.

Der var ingen aircondition på værelserne og det var meget varmere på værelset end udenfor.
Der var betalingsparkering og det synes jeg ikke stod klart også skulle man give 130 kr. For at parkere pr dag.
Det eneste der trækker op var et sødt personale og god morgenmad.
Men ikke værd de +1000 kr. Pr nat uden at medregne hvad vi gav for parkering.

Lækker morgenmad, vi havde et stort værelse, da vi var 4 to voksne og to børn. De to ekstra senge der var opsat, var forfærdelige at sove på, og knirkede og knagede. Men stort og pænt. Kafferør og el kedel, var rart. Brugte ikke sauna( hvorfor sauna uden en pool, og badekåber?)
