A very good budget hotel for a short period stay. The balcony is a bit misleading though. It wasn’t really a balcony. You also have to inform them that you need housekeeping or else they wouldn’t clean your room at all. The staff was very friendly though and they had essential goodies sold in the lobby. They also sell beer 24 hours so I liked that. The heater doesn’t work so well but we managed with the water temperature. Their TV has Netflix so that’s also a plus if you like to watch movies during your stay.

I liked the location in regards to the proximity to government offices in Chaeng Wattana. Room was comfortable, but shower was not cleaned so well. Service was average at best. Many times we asked for things and never got the service after they said it would be brought by later.

First of all, I love the cleanliness and very good scent of the room. Receptions and staff are very helpful and friendly. Food in the dining was good as well. Although, there was false fire alarm at around 3AM, they made sure that all was well and apologized for the inconvenience. It’s understandable as there was a notice (saw before checking out) in front of the elevator that “due to new fire alarm installation in every floor, alarm might go off from time to time. There’s also 7-ELEVEN 2-3 mins walk near the hotel. All in all it’s very comfy to stay for a day or two.

The attached cafe for morning coffee was terrible- the coffee was terrible and the server was unfriendly and unhelpful.
The hotel is fine for a quick overnight stay but nothing more. It is noisy with people coming and going at all times. There was no hand soap in the bathroom.
It was a bare basic minimum night stop hotel.

Not what I was expecting. The \"free breakfast\" was only toast. The airport transfers cost money. No toilet paper given in rooms either. Also, the bed was hard as a rock!

For a layover, worked just fine. Small room that seemed like it might have once been a storage unit, but everything worked and we were just there to sleep for a couple hours. They picked us up from the airport and took us back for free. Pick up is free you just have to call when you arrive, and they have a couple set times in the morning for transport back to DMK. Other times they will still take you, but there is a fee.

It was nice to pull up in an airport shuttle we pre arranged with them for our arrival at airport around 8 pm , they met us outside where we were waiting with our party of 7 with 10 pieces of luggage and 7 backpacks, pulled up to side street of hotel was easy to get all our stuff into the lobby up a ramp into Air conditioning. they stored most of our luggage in a room for the night so we didn't have to take it all up to the room which was very convenient since we only stayed overnight and were taking 2 taxis to catch a bus to southern Thailand. The beds were 2 kings per room, we had 2 rooms which was good for us, yet the bathroom was not the greatest for $40 per night per room, old and caulking was ugly and dirty, we didn't use the bath tub or shower, it was nice to have free cold water in the refrigerator but it would have been nice to come into the room with it being cool instead of being like an oven until the room A/C was on for almost 30 minutes. After little sleep and a 3 hr flight and 5 kids to take care of that was something we would have appreciated. By 11 pm we were finally going to try and go to sleep for a few hours only as our bus was departing the next morning at 6:30 am for 7-8 hr trip, when we kept hearing a beeping sound. I thought it was the housekeeper that was making noise cleaning soooo late in the same hallway on our floor, but it wasn't , instead it was something no-one could apparently do anything about, it was the exit sign in the hallway not rec.

Very bad experience ever. Hotel is 1 hour by shuttle in day time. if no traffic then 45 minutes. No english channels on tv. Aircon is super weak. They provide free shuttle for both ways. Rating for hotel is wrong. it is supposed to be 2/5. i wanted to stay more days but once i reach there and saw everything,i checked out next day. Receptionist is good. wifi is weak. My rating is based mainly on location, no english channel, weak wifi and weak aircon.

I was searching 48 ville hotel donmuang just to confirm the hotel pictures and price are same as i stayed yes, it is same as i stayed.
Nice hotel. very comfortable, clean room with veranda. Overall nice stay.
but in the restaurant of the hotel, i ate noodles, there were a small boiled cockroach in the noodles. !!!!YAAAK!!!!

The booking site shows information, as 3 Twin Beds
377-sq-foot (35-sq-meter) room with a balcony, but when I measured it as at most 28sqm instead, and balcony wasn't existing.
\"Free toiletries\" contains only shower cap.
Soap dispenser, and shampoo dispenser are installed on the bath room wall, that's all.
Location is not really convenient to get city centre and I needed to get taxi to reach \"Mochit\" to get BTS.
Windows are located end of short corridor, which is facing 1m to external wall of another wing and dark, which gives me an impression like a jail.
I don't recommend the hotel for business users. not worth.

Ok if in a budget layover...

Hotel is in coveninent location to airport (about 20-30 mins taxi ride). However wifi in room is not good at all, despite routers. If you need strong wifi, head to the lobby and ask them for their office wifi.

Room is clean, and does the job for one or two nights. Nearest mrt is 100 baht taxi ride. Not much in the area apart from a shopping complex which is a 20 min walk. Hotel claim their restaurant is open 24 hours but closes about 11-12 pm, so don't arrive from a late flight and depend on the hotel for food!

I always use this hotel because I always fly to another city in Thailand from Don Muang. The staff are always helpful and its quiet and out of the way if you don't want to stay in central Bangkok. They also have free transportation to Suvarnabhumi international airport at certain hours. Reasonably priced.

Good transit hotel near DMK airport

Clean hotel about 20 minutes away from DMK airport (NOT Bangkok's most often used airport BKK!). Restaurant open 24 hours with good food, free ride to airport provided nearly hourly. Very convenient for transit or odd hour flights to/from DMK airport.

Run down area not near the Airport

I booked this hotel as it was positioned as an airport hotel, it took 35 minutes in a taxi and is nowhere near the airport.
The hotel and area was rundown and the room didn't really look like the pictures I saw prior to booking. On a positve tea and coffee, bottled water in the room and a free transfer back to the airport in an open air van with benches in! I wouldn't stay here again or recommend this hotel especially for an airport hotel.

This hotel is nothing special but a good place to lay your head. The air conditioner was too loud to have on in the room, the sheets were a bit dirty and there wasn't anything provided in the mini bar or in the way of bathroom bits and pieces but the staff were friendly enough, the reception and restaurant are 24 hrs and they will organise a free airport transfer for you if you need it. Mind you - you are an hours drive from Don Muang after 8am so wasn't really the \"airport\" stopover I had in mind, but then this is Bangkok and it takes ages to get anywhere. Pretty average but ok.

Friendliest staff in Thailand

I loved this hotel. The excellent staff made our stay so pleasant. We stayed here because it was very close to the airport. It's perfect for flight layovers because the do a free airport shuttle in the mornings. Plus they have a 24 hour restaurant, what more could you want. They even kept bags for us while we were in Cambodia free of charge. I highly recommend this hotel.

Nice cosy hotel with good service

Just an overnight stop as we had a flight from Don Muang Airport next day. Room was big and very confortable. Very quiet, although some noise could be head from the local neighbourhood as this hotel is situated in a regular Bangkok suburb. Not many places around to eat, at least during the evening when we were there. However, this is not a problem as the hotel restaurant is open 24/7 and the prices and service in the restaurant are excellent. Just one thing to be aware of. Although this is advertised as a 'Don Muang Airport Hotel' some of the staff said that when traffic is bad it can take up to an hour to reach the airport in a taxi from 48 Ville. Another thing is, our taxi driver had trouble finding this hotel, so make sure you take the hotel phone number along and a printed map.

Arrived in Bangkok late and needed somewhere in the vicinity of Don Mueng Airport. This is about 15 minutes by taxi from there. Very basic hotel. But Wifi works fine and so does aircon. Thats really all that counted for me for a one night stay. Otherwise clean. But old facilites. Nice cafe in lobby open 24 hours. Loved their taro balls in coconut cream.

Perfect for long wait between flights

Hotel is very close to DMK airport only 10mins in a Taxi.
Staff where friendly and helped us in with our bags,it was late at night and they checked us in quickly and with a smile.They offered a wake up call and informed us that the cafe is open 24hrs.They also organized us a taxi which was very helpful as we just wanted to go to sleep.Overall we recommend this hotel to travellers who have a stopover or a long wait between flights.

Surprisingly good. Actually more than good. I'm a seasoned solo Thai traveler and needed a economy hotel near the Don Muang airport so I took a chance on this hotel. The rooms are a descent western standard, very clean, had a small balcony and big window with a screen, fridge, good firm bed, free water. Also an elevator. Very, very nice, smiling and accommodating staff on the day and night shifts. A short ten minute walk to the main road and you have lots of food stalls with delicious Thai food at the normal good thai prices. There's a 7-11 there as well. Many small restaurants on the hotel street too. It was a 150 baht ride ($5US) to the airport. 20 minutes, 12 km.

Stayed one night to catch an early flight. We arrived at the hotel without booking (I like to smell the room first :) and made the booking in the lobby using Hotels.com because I had a free bonus night to spend. No problems with the booking or anything. The wake up call was made as advertised, and the taxi which the hotel had called showed up on time (and used the taximeter without any hassle). The drive to the airport took about 20 minutes at 04.00 in the morning. Best place (on Hotels.com anyway) to stay for a night to catch an early flight.

This is a very basic hotel which ok for when you need to be at the airport early. Room was acceptably clean and the air conditioner worked properly. It should be noted, though, that although it appears to be very close to the airport on the map, it is actually on the \"back\" side of the airport and thus takes 15-20 for the commute without traffic.

I needed a place to crash after a transcontinental flight and before one more flight out of DMK. Chose 48 Ville based on reviews and was satisfied. Room was basic but clean, spacious and comfortable enough with air-conditioning. A decent little Thai restaurant is downstairs. As for location, I wouldn't stay here for any other reason except that it's a less than 100 baht cab ride to the airport.

I booked this hotel because I had an late flight into Bangkok, and was flying out the next morning at 6.30am. The hotel took about 15 minutes to get to from Don Muang airport, and the check in process was very easy. The staff are friendly and the rooms are basic but clean. There are not many restaurants near by, but we ate at the restaurant next door and it was fine. For the very cheap price of this hotel, I would recommend it for overnight stopovers in Bangkok. Just be aware though that it is very far from the main tourist areas/markets etc in Bangkok.

Pleasantly surprised

the room was clean and comfortable, the staff was very helpful and the little restaurant downstairs served great food. The airport was a 15 minute taxi ride for 100bhat I would stay here again!

Hotel for Stop Over

Nice place but is kind of far from most of the things. There is a major road which will be jam in heavy evening traffic.

Apart from that, still ok for a good rest.
