Room was clean, decor was lovely - felt like we were in Italy! However it was very quiet and deserted when we arrived (Wednesday) with no restaurants or shops open downstairs (which made it feel quite eerie as it seemed we were the only guests at the time!) but it was lively from Friday with everything open.

Overall quite excellent, only real issue was the brick walls block the wifi; but the hotel itself couldn’t be faulted. Lots of space to put things, lots of light options and PowerPoints, fridge wasn’t great but it worked.
4.5 overall if I could. Happy to round it up though, as it’s the best I’ve stayed at.

Whilst the overall location seems interesting, we had a terrible room. Easily the worst motel room I've experienced in the last 10-15 years. No water pressure, no hot water (just warm), seriously uncomfortable bedding, noisy internal room with frosted 'internal' windows. We looked in another room, and it seemed reasonable compared to ours.

The renovations/decor was fantastic. The room was large and overall pleasing. The shower taps need attention, the bed was very squeeky/noisey. The room appeared clean however my wife did get a small piece of glass in her foot.

I do enjoy the location and feel of this property.
I was unsatisfied with our room (12) as the sheer curtains did nothing to block out the sensor lights that were activated many times thru the night and disturbed our sleep. Perhaps add a layer of block-out curtains?

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the beautiful Ettalong Beach Tourist Resort for the second time, having enjoyed our first visit about a year ago. Prior to our arrival, we called the front desk to confirm our reservation and let them know we would be arriving around 8:30 PM due to work commitments. The receptionist kindly instructed us to collect our key from the key safe outside.

I also inquired about the possibility of a late checkout, given our late arrival, and was assured that we could stay in our room until 12 PM. However, to our surprise, shortly after 10 AM the following morning, a housekeeper entered our room without any prior notice, which was quite uncomfortable for both my partner and me.

When we went down to check out, an older gentleman at the front desk apologized for the mix-up. He explained that we should have called ahead again to confirm our late checkout, as the key to our room was still on the desk. It seems there may have been some miscommunication during the shift change, leading to this oversight.

Despite this hiccup, we still appreciate the resort’s beauty and amenities. We hope that better communication can be established at the front desk for future guests. Overall, we look forward to returning again and hope for a smoother experience next time!

It is a bit outdated property but it has its charm. The staff is very friendly and helpful. On the weekends it is the place where the action is. The holiday accommodations are so expensive and therefore becoming inaccessible to an average person, especially the ones, who have reached retirement and what a pity!

Rooms very comfortable but not made up every day, towels changed 2nd daily which was fine, but I would have expected the beds to be made daily, not clean sheets but made up. We were there 6 nights and the stores within the resort only open Thursday, Friday , Saturday and Sunday, nice products but a little overpriced. No laundry available but laundromat not far away. Overall a nice place to stay, resort rules say no pets allowed but there were plenty upstairs in the accommodation area, obviously not patrolled! Would I stay there again? Probably the price was right and rooms comfortable.
