I arrived around 12:00 PM, and by 3:00 PM I normally receive my room at any hotel. Instead, I was told over and over that my room “wasn’t ready,” even as I watched other guests receive their keys without delay.
At 4:00 PM, the front desk agent reminded me that “check‑in is at 4:00,” to which I had to point out that it was already 4:00. Her response was simply that they would “call me,” which never happened. At 5:00 PM, I received the same vague answer again.
By 5:30 PM, I had to contact Expedia so they could intervene. Only after a 30‑minute call between Expedia and the hotel was I finally told to go to the lobby to get my key. Even then, the front desk agent was unnecessarily rude.
This is not the level of service I expect from a hotel of this category. Waiting over two hours past the official check‑in time—and being treated dismissively throughout—was extremely disappointing.

AFFORDABLE FOR A ONE NIGHT STAY WITH A GREAT VIEW FROM BALCONY

Since the ocean was too cold to swim in, it was great to have two outdoor and one indoor pool to play in. The view from the 11th floor was also incredible (if you can wake up early, you can see a beautiful sunrise). All of the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. There were plenty of things to do to keep a 5-year-old occupied throughout our time, including the daily activities.

Reasonable price. Wanted an ocean view. Had to wrap my neck around the balcony to find the ocean. No cups in the bathroom, no housekeeping unless you request and then one day didn’t come at all. No blanket on the bed. Bathtub was very deep. Could hardly get in there. Very slippery, needed a rubber bath mat. No restaurant in the hotel. Had to go elsewhere.

Rooms were clean, great location. Parking is in parking garage close by and included in the cost. The most frustrating thing was they don't make people promptly return their luggage carts. The system is that you check in, unload vehicle at the entry, put it onto a cart, take things to your room, then return your cart, move your vehicle and finally go park in the garage. So frustrating to wait and wait while they look for carts and text guests. There's got to be a more efficient way. Have people sign them out, fine them if the cart is not returned promptly etc. Hilton has figured out how to make millions and millions of dollars her can't figure out how to keep track of their carts???

The negative comments about this hotel were initially a little scary. But everything was to our liking. We had a clean, comfortable room. The staff was very welcoming and friendly and checked with us throughout the day via text message. The pools were clean and the hotel was remarkably quiet for its size. The parking garage was extremely easy across the street. The only thing that would deter us in the future is the cost of the room which included extra fees for things we didn’t use and the normal refundable deposit was an additional $200. We paid a lot to stay for three nights, but it was a positive experience. Great views from the balcony and warm temperatures in early April were a bonus!

We had a fantastic stay here. I booked the cheapest room last minute and was still so happy with our stay. I would recommend spending a few extra dollars on a beach view because the street was loud until around 11pm, but the kids had so much fun at the pool and beach that the conked out so quickly at night and the street noise didn't bother them. The pools were enjoyed and it was especially nice to have pool towels accessable since our beach towels were sandy. The easy access to the beach made it easy for us to spend all day there. If we needed something from the room it was a quick run up. Everything we wanted to do, i.e. shopping and eating were all within walking distance and fantastic. Parked our car and didn't go back to it until we left. The lady at check in was so nice and friendly. My one downside it the driveway was chaos while checking out. Not enough space for everyone to park to get their stuff in their cars and have safe access to get out. Overall, it was clean and comfortable and easy to stay here and I would do it again.

My room was perfect for me on my getaway. I had a king bed with a kitchenette and ocean front. Everything was clean and very comfortable.

The furniture is a bit outdated in the first tower (OBC) and needs updating to match the decor of the Oceanaire tower. The first room I was in (Queen studio kitchenette, oceanfront) was on a lower floor where the hallway looked like a prison with brown walls. I found nasty, shaved hairs on the bedsheet like it wasn’t washed or changed between guests. I immediately call the front desk who immediately rectified the situation. I ended up upgrading to a suite and it was fantastic. The ocean views were amazing, the rooms and halls a little more updated. There were some minor maintenance issues that should be addressed but I will reach out to the property directly.

My only complaint was some mold on the bottom of the shower curtain. Aside from that, everything else was clean upon arrival. We stayed here for my daughter’s cheer competition for 3 days. They allowed us to check in 2 hours early and the staff was amazing. We loved how there were discounts at neighboring stores for their guests. We will definitely be back when the weather is warmer so we can really enjoy all amenities.

We stay in VA Beach a couple of times a year. This was by far the worse. We were woken up at 3am to loud banging. Due to a plumbing issue. It was insane. The people next door to us were upset also. We definitely will not book at this property again.

We had Street view room and the noise at night was very loud. Almost like there were no windows. You could hear people yelling on the street, very loud cars going by and construction all night. Also outdoor pool was closed and eventually indoor pool was closed the 4 days we were there.

Lastly our only complaint was the size of the bed. We booked for a queen and the bed was definitely a full size bed. We have great experience even the building have certain floor under renovations. They fix our issues when we first check in very quickly which makes our whole stay very wonderful. I love they have activities for kids or adults every day in the hotel even though we do not have time to participate. Is a very nice touch, very family friendly. The pool can tell need a bit touch up but they still maintained very well. Great location! Overall everything is good and will come again!

Room was recently renovated. Looks like they took old rooms and split them into two smaller rooms. The furniture is old and not in great condition. The lamps were so large they shades were in the way. There is no charger ports for your phones. The door had no door sweep and the hall light blared through. The electric socket in the bathroom did not work and we told the front desk. They were putting in a repair order after we checked out. The tub felt as if it would fall through the floor. The view was not so great. It was on the side of the building and you got a partial view of the water. Most of the view was of the hotel next door. Floors could have been cleaned better. Fuzz and hair remained on the bathroom floor from prior guests.
