Staff were lovely, however room was ok at best, no fridge, front door locked, but two doors leading off veranda didn't lock, safe was not bolted down, so didn't feel safe leaving money there, place was run down with loose tiles all uneven, stained sheets and pillows with lipstick stains, bedbugs, breakfast wouldn't fill a infant and nothing on menu was available and what was was ordinary.

We lucked out staying here. The property is older, needing a bit of upkeep. But as far as the rooms go, they were great, the bed was comfy. We had a beautiful view of the sunrise and the ocean. The pool lounges were comfortable and rarely full. The staff were so friendly and helpful, arranging trips and tours for us. We would recommend staying here if you are looking for a relaxing holiday.

Great Villa, perfect location to Kuta town centre with a 5 min walk. Reception super helpful with anything. Arrange driver to the apparent and our next stay. Swimming pool was a great addition. Villa well presented and just like the pictures. Would highly recommended.

Definitely a budget hotel, food was good , breakfast which was included, consisted of a single egg omellette or scrambled and 1 slice of bread, pretty average stuff, No tv , which is a good thing, unlessyou want one. No fridge. No glasses or coffee and tea facilities, no housekeeping, no hot water on first day. This place has huge potential with investment and some care. The first thing you notice is how run down the reception and restaurant area are. But it was a budget hotel. If bohemian is your thing , it is quaint.

Staff tried their very best to make you feel welcome- 2 young men are there from dawn to dusk. Property in need of upgrade- just getting very tired. Towels, sheets etc need to be replaced as they are old, and the rooms aren’t cleaned during your stay. Small water provided on first day but no replacements.

The location was great, right on the beach, the staff were really friendly, there was something sharp in the pool that cut two of our kids feet and our room didn’t have hot water, otherwise the room was great, Family room with 2 queen or king beds, nice breakfast, variation of pancakes, omelettes, scrambled eggs, toast, juice tea and coffee, super affordable

When we arrived I said we were checking in and he then said my name, not a good sign we must of been the only check in that day.
At reception a mouse ran past.
Walking to room the path was covered in caterpillias.
The bathoom stunk and toilet was not clean had poo on it.
There was mould on the walls
The safe was not secured to anything, could pick it up and walk out with it.
The doors were not secre once locked could still move them to open.
The light flickered.
The pool was murky and had a closed down deralict pool bar.
Was no vibe at or surrounding hotel

We arrived at the hotel and even tho we had a valid booking confirmation the staff told us they have no room available. An other couple was in the reception area and said the same happened to them. The staff said that it happens all the time and the owner who lives in Bali doesn't care. Expedia explained to us on the phone that they are happy to cancel our booking but they have to charge us for the first night!!!! The other option Expedia gave us was a \"no show\" which means we get charged for both nights!!! For a room we couldn't move into since the hotel was overbooked. Till now our booking seems active which means the hotel gets our credit card details and can charge us. A big big scam supported by expedia. Very unsatisfied and my last booking with Expedia, and, needless to say, this hotel.

We loved our stay

It was almost perfect. My wife and I loved everything about our stay except for the mosquitos. But it had great view, great service, very comfortable room and they even had very cheap motorbike rental which was a lovely bonus. I'd definitely come back again when I get the chance.

Great place just in front of the sea. Not luxury’s but for the price is very a good deal! So many places sells their room more than 50 box and don’t care to build a bungalow next to your. Don’t care about the noise and the prices that they offer. Here you can relax go to the sea it’s close to mushroom beach and the staff is nice! Thank you guys

Beach Front but sadly not a beach you can enjoy

This was a hotel built with love and care, but now needs a little TLC. I think the fault is with the shabby development around the property and the beach and water in front of the hotel is unusable. But a few minutes walk will take you to a lovely beach.

Staff was sweet (thank you, Gede). Gardens were lovely, rooms are nice and large, food is good, pool is great, but the pool bar should be renovated.

We stayed in the single suite and the double (family) suite, both were good.
Large, clean rooms with great balcony views. Neither suites had a refrigerator however the poolside bar/restaurant was very reasonably priced with a good menu.
Staff are very friendly.

Beautiful beach bungalows!

Tamarind beach bungalows are really a lovely place to stay and a great value for money. The bungalows are huge and have a great view of the beach. Great location in mushroom bay and I was able to easily walk to nearby restaurants and other activities, including the secret beach! The only critique I would suggest is that perhaps they should consider closing in the roof in the bungalows because critters are able to get in the way it is now. Either that or having proper mosquito nets on the beds that don't have openings st the top.

Good overall but hotel needs some work

The hotel upgraded us to one of the best bungalows with a great view of pool and bay. However, the room had tiny lights, couldn't see well at all at night. There were quite a few bugs and bathtub was evidently not being used and filthy. When we first arrived we ate lunch( pizza and a salad). The pizza sauce consisted of ketchup ? and the salad was a huge gob of mayonaise. That was our last meal there in 3 days. Mixed drinks were expensive. Fortunately there some good choices for restaurants close by. The staff was for the most part friendly and helpful. We are not picky about these things and might return another time. The location is good, picturesque and quiet. I would urge the hotel to take care of these things , it could be a great place.

The hotel was fine. The service was okay - english was comprehendable from the main woman, but the other staff couldn't answer many questions. When it got busy you had to wait for the main woman to come to talk. The rooms were nice. The area is nice on the beach, but the beach is somewhat un-usable as the tide comes right up to the wall. The pool is nice. The restaurant is okay, we preferred to go somewhere else to eat. Prices are normal for the area.

Nice hotel in a great location. Some components of the room we stayed in were a little tired. No bar fridge, room safe or kettle in the room was the greatest concern raised by the family. However, the view from our balcony was undisturbed across the bay, so it more than made up for any down fall. The staff were really friendly and kid friendly.

Staff were not around much and check in a nightmare as they could not find booking even though I showed the Expedia confirm. Also booked 2 beds and only had one - they said Expedia got it wrong! Room was clean but hotel tired and bit run down. Ok for one night and on a budget.

Great location and price but a number of negatives including 2 unanswered emails regarding transport to the hotel, very old outside bathroom, no hot water, old towels, terrible foam mattress, no replacement bottled water in the morning, and a whole day and part night blackout which meant no room lights, fans or aircon.

Accomodation was great although the power continually went out & had no aircon I wouldn't usually mind but it was very hot & although the bed looked amazing the canopy above the bed stopped the fan from having any benefit .. The island is easy to get around on a motor bike there is a small private beach as u head out to your right great spot to relax

We Moved Hotels...

Whilst the location of this hotel is lovely (it's oh-so quiet over on that side of the island, and it's perched right on the beach) the hotel itself needs a whole lot of love. The staff were extremely unhelpful at all times (and we're VERY low maintenance guests). After a series of laughable disasters with the room and staff we thought it best to move and get on with enjoying our vacation. Avoid.

Hotel has no 24 hour front desk and there is no personal after 10.00pm lights to paths are off due to power cuts,
you would need a torch or phone torch. I got no information from staff of all the power cuts.
in this hotel you are on your own, if emergency assistant needed or you have any health problems do not stay here. Lights are out until 2.00am.

Not what we were expecting

After a dreadful boat trip from Gilli T to Lembongan, we were looking forward to relaxing at the hotel which, from the photos online looked to be overlooking a lovely Tamarind Beach. We had booked a suite with an ocean view and the room did not live up to expectations. We only stayed for one night out of the four we booked. After being let into our \"suite\" it took 30 minutes for the staff to find a key for our room. The room was on the second floor of an old building and didn't reflect a suite nor a beach bungalow at all. As mentioned, we left after the first night. We don't recommend staying here.

Great Hotel without all the bells and whistles

I stayed at at Tamarind Beach Bungalows for a week. The room was a very large comfortable space with tons of air flow and good lighting. There was no TV or Airconditioning; however, was perfect for Nusa Lembongan, a quite Indonesian island of Bali. Staff was quite accomodating, grounds were clean,a dn Pool was good size. Restaurant on site was fine and all meals were good; however, would have enjoyed a little more flare and variety.

Not so cool for the price

We stayed for a couple of nights and got them in discount. There's nothing to do besides being at the pool, so you'll be very isolated to everything. If that's your thing great, but otherwise you'll need to rent a scooter (75.000 rp/day) to move around the island.
The tamarind beach is actually a few meters of sand, not really a beach.

Terrible location - look elsewhere!

Overall, I was very disappointed with the hotel: The location is very isolated compared to most other parts of Nusa Lembongan. You have to walk through the bushes to get to nearby Mushroom Bay an I do not think that it is an easy walk. The rooms are bright and spacious, but the bathroom was dirty and had mould stains, and the bedsheets were dirty as well. I was not impressed with the quality of service either: Even though we were 4 adults we were only given one bath towel. When I went to the reception to ask for more towels, the receptionist was very rude to me. In general when I approached the staff they were either texting or simply ignoring me. We moved out after only staying one night and quickly found another hotel which was cheaper, had rooms of a higher standard and in a much better location.

Fine for a cheap stay

We stayed for 3 nights at Tamarind in a deluxe room. The bathroom smelt unpleasant and had plumbing issues. The pictures of the grounds are a bit deceiving and are not maintained in as good condition. The private pool was also dirty. Staff were friendly and helpful. Next time in Lemongan I would stay at the Bay Shore huts next door, which were much better quality for a marginal price difference.

We loved Tamrind! Everything about our stay was great Lembongan was an island paradise, not to busy with lots to offer and lots to do. The staff at Tamarind was very friendly and helpful, espically Darma. He went out of our way to make our stay extra special. We'll be back for sure!

Reasonable value low cost place

The location is good with the only blot on the horizon being the structure that moors the big yellow catamaran. However this does not detract a great deal from the views. The rooms are a bit scabby and bits of woodwork suffer from dry rot. If you are asthmatic don't stay here, but it apparently varies from room to room so I should not generalise. The staff are in the main very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is boring but edible lunches can be OK. The house keeping is a bit hit and miss but generally OK. The grounds are nicely kept as is the pool. Don't be fooled by the promotion pictures though, there is a fair bit of ground between the pool infinity edge and the sea. Nice though. Personally I would not return, but would pay a bit extra.

Nice place to relax

It's a nice place to relax either by you own or with friends. Swimming pool is lovely and staff are friendly and helpful. There's a white sand beach just behind the hotel. The room is spacious and has everything you need except a tv for entertainment during the night if you got nothing to do. Will come back again for sure.

This is a couple's paradise! Pictures are exact! I recommend Jan as a wonderful season due to low numbers of tourists. Staff are amazing and bend over backwards to please you! The \"deluxe\" room is nice but very basic but had a really good air conditioner. Take mosquito spray until the bats come out at night. Food portions are VERY small so we ate at other accommodations in the near area. Also just ordered two of everything as the prices are very affordable. The hotel advertises itself as \"adults only\" however, at the end of our stay a few children appeared. The busy season would still be nice too.
