No follow up towards us so far. He assured us they were animal lovers and that this had never happened before. That they fed the animals in the staff camp..

We stayed at the Pacific resort from 2nd to 5th of October. We were picked up at the airport by James who organised us and all of our bags onto the shuttle bus for the short ride to our accommodation. He was cheerful and very helpful and informative from greeting us at the airport, right up until we were taken to our room. The staff at the resort were all very kind, helpful, patient and friendly. The food was lovely, and we particularly liked the changeable \"menu of the day\", as it offered different options, especially for those staying a while. Rooms were comfortable, clean and had all the amenities expected of a luxury resort, and was finished in a Polynesian style which was nicely decorated and furnished. The resort is a little pricey, but for a special occasion in paradise is worth saving up for. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay any longer.

This hotel is absolutely incredible. The location, landscaping, and the staff are unparalleled. We were there for our honeymoon and were blown away. Daily breakfast was included, and was fantastic. Try the fish Benny!
I was able to do a e’i (flower crown) making class to wear to Island Night, which was a lot of fun.
Great snorkelling in front of the hotel too.

We stayed here for 6 nights, the level of service from the airport pickup onwards was exemplary.
With less than 100 guests the resort feels private, the staff know your names and you get the feeling that nothing is too much trouble.
The beachfront access straight from

This is a quiet and relaxing boutique resort. All of the spacious villas have views of the crystal clear lagoon. The staff are friendly and the food at the restaurant is excellent. The resort is ideally suited for couples.

Relaxing in a beautiful paradise
Staff were lovely on arrival and throughout our stay. Very accommodating and nothing was a problem. Onsite restaurants were great for all meals whether it be casual or more upmarket. Quiet and very relaxing. Facilities such as pool and spa were great. We had a lovely beachfront bungalow overlooking the beach. Well equipped rooms and personal touches like leaving treats in our fridge each night was a lovely addition. Would highly recommend!

Wonderful place, people, food and room
This definitely rates as one of the best places I have ever stayed at. What an amazing location, and as every room is beachfront, it is stunning to just walk down a couple of steps from your balcony into the lagoon. The Pool, bar and restaurant were perfect, and even though all the rooms were booked, it felt quiet, and we hardly ever saw many people. A good tip is to ask reception for a transfer (alternative to a cab) - we got one to to Boat Shed restarant/bar a couple of evenings, and it was $12 return per person - you just ask the staff at the location you are to call the hotel when you are ready to leave, and they pick you up 10min later to go back to the Resort - brilliant and easy.

Nice place, but certainly not \"5 Star\" Service
The location and hotel grounds are absolutely fantastic, however I expect much more from the service across the board from a \"5 start resort\". The overall experience was nice, but certainly not worth the cost, especially when compared to luxury resorts outside of the Cook Islands. Aitutaki is one of the best places I've traveled to, but a day trip, or one night at another resort would do just fine, and then off to another island.

If you desire solitude with luxury on a coral atoll in the South Pacific this is the place to go. The Pacific Resort Aitutaki is a small hotel on an endless beach, with \"front door\" snorkeling and kayaking along with an excellent restaurant overlooking a blue lagoon. The 15 bungalows are surround by a tropical jungle, perhaps a bit overgrown, and have a stunning view, from your lanai and bed, of the that deep blue lagoon. Casual, intimate and cosmopolitan .

This place really is the business and entirely worth the money.
From the personal greeting at the airport, the delicious cold welcome coconut and the greeting from the GM himself I knew that things were off to a good start.
The rooms are just exquisite, each has private direct beach access and a shower to cleanse off when you want to get back to sunbathing or lounging around in the wonderfully private balcony.
Meals were excellent, the food was great and generously portioned. The menu was comprehensive and all fairly priced too which was a nice surprise. Mains were approximate to what you would pay in New Zealand in a nice restaurant.
The staff could not have been more helpful and immediately addressed anything I asked of them.
The reef off the resort's section of the beach has plentiful sealife to gaze at and the bar serves excellent cocktails when you have had your fill.
Kayaks, reef shoes, fins and snorkels are provided which is a nice touch. Mountain bikes are also available and a lap of the island is an excellent activity.
All in all a truly fabulous week and I cannot recommend the place highly enough.

If you fish, they have some of the biggest bonefish to be found anywhere, but they are difficult to catch on a fly rod. There are two local fly fishing guides on the island and they are quite good at spotting the fish, just make sure you can cast in a string wind.
Great place overall and would highly recommend this hotel and island.
However, the sister hotel on Roratonga is not quite up to the same standards and I would suggest that you stay at another hotel on this island.

Amazing Honeymoon Resort
Absolutely fantastic stay at the Pacific Resort Aitutaki. From the private arrival booth at Aitutaki Airport, to the welcome in the resort's daily newsletter, it's the small details that Pacific Resort did so well. The room is spacious, albeit a little dark but this just forces you to open the blinds and take in the spectacular view of the lagoon from your balcony. The food is all great, it's expensive but that's to be expected at a resort of this calibre and price point. Small desserts are left in your room at turn down service. Wifi is not included and a voucher needs to be purchased, $30 for 500mb. This would probably be my only negative. The property itself is stunning, you are in the middle of a tropical paradise surrounded by trees and lush gardens. This also means yourr surrounded by nature so be prepared to encounter your fare share of geckos and other lizards!

Wow what a resort! It is deservedly 5 star! We had 5 nights and everything was perfect, the food, the resort and most importantly the outstanding service. So professional!
Cocktails by the infinity pool, whales swimming by every day. The food was beautifully presented and we had most things on the menu. The sushi platter and the coconut trio dessert were the best but everything was delicious. A full cooked breakfast was included!

Everything about this resort, in a beautiful location, is stunning and it delivers on every level. We stayed 5 nights in a premium bungalow, and everything from the welcome on arrival to the outlook of the restaurants, the room, facilities, the food and the customer service is excellent. The view from the bungalow was stunning, we spent a lot of time on our deck, in our private hammock and on our deckchairs on the beach looking at the fabulous view, and swimming and snorkeling meters from our bungalow. Shelley pays a lot of attention to the little details that make great customer service, including the sarong for women and sun hat for men, daily newsletter and the nightly treat and this resort deserves its five star rating. The food is excellent, service quick and friendly, gardens beautiful and the staff lead by Shelley are friendly and efficient. It is a peaceful, beautiful and quiet spot with fabulous views and the perfect place to relax and wind down, and a great location to explore the rest of the island if you want.There is another resort, on the lagoon, where we stayed in an over water bungalow for 2 nights and it failed to deliver great customer service or value for money. You can easily bike to the other resort to see the view, but the view you have from this resort is beautiful and combined with a lagoon cruise, it is heaven on earth. We read all the reviews of the resorts before deciding where to stay and agree that this is the place to stay on Aitutaki. Fantastic!
