We called to have a room that was not noisy, but when we arrived and checked in, they placed us into the first room closest to the front desk. We were awakened by people checking out and music during breakfast. Additionally, the shower was incredibly small and it was hard to move around in. This is our biggest complaint. Otherwise, the hotel room was clean and complementary breakfast was decent.

Wonderful Otranto hotel

Absolutely lovely hotel just outside the old town of Otranto. Beautifully designed and very comfortable with 2 levels of outdoor patio with seaside views. There is a gym and spa and a jacuzzi for use (small fee). Great breakfast and comfortable beds!

Just outside the old town, an easy stroll to all the sights. The hotel is stylish with friendly staff. Lovely terrace, only small issue is the bar shuts early.

The hotel and staff are great- but the rooms are tiny. There was nowhere to store clothes- the wardrobe space was open and set about six feet off the floor. The clothes hangers were fixed so I had to scramble onto a seat to get my clothes. I am 5 feet so no use for me.

Fantastic

My wife and I are very selective. We were surprised to read some mixed reviews of this hotel. It was perfect. The room was small but clean and positive and great. The bathroom and shower were wonderful. The staff was charming. And the location, perfect. I took morning swims and it was a less than ten minute walk to the beautiful beaches. The same for the town. I would recommend this hotel as the perfect place to stay in Otranto and of all the towns we’ve seen in Puglia, Otranto the ideal seaside town

Beautiful hotel with fantastic staff, we had a great 4-night stay in Otranto. The hotel is conveniently located just 5 minutes walk from the historical centre. It was clean and a very high standard. Breakfast was good. The restaurant recommendations given by the hotel were fantastic and the staff were really helpful. We were very h lucky with the weather so hoping to come back when the sun in shining and we can make use of the lovely roof top terrace!

A great boutique hotel close to the old city.

We were 3 couples staying 5 nights. The hotel is modern and super clean. The staff were friendly and ultra helpful. The rooms were not big but when are they when you are near an old city. For 5 euro a day we had a secure parking spot. The front outdoor garden area and upstairs areas were great for relaxing and talking. Our breakfasts were more than adequate but it was the two ladies who were there that made it a pleasurable experience each day. When we are travelling in the area again we will definitely stay here again. Cannot fault our experience.

Good Hotel, Staff Could Step it Up a Bit Though

Great location, as I love a nice 10 minute walk to town. Check in was awkward as we arrived at 12pm and they told us we couldn't have our room for another 3 hours - which seemed excessive. Instead of offering us a tour of the facilities and maybe offering us the opportunity to lounge in their sun areas, we were given back our passports and told to return in a couple of hours.

When we booked tours, I had to check with them 4 times for confirmation and each time they had to make another phone call, which was a bit annoying, it felt like they hadn't bothered calling in the first place. Tours all got finalised in the end but it was a bit stressful.

Breakfast was lovely. The room was airy and bright, options were vast and the coffee superb. A perfect start to the day every day.

Lovely property, outstanding staff.

A very comfortable hotel, well located to walk the old city. Staff is very good with two of the most delightful, customer-oriented young women working on the front desk. Rosella and Alma were if great help to me in resolving an issue that could have completely ruined our vacation. They also recommend an excellent restaurant that we thoroughly enjoyed. As a former marketing executive before my retirement I recognize jewels in customer service. These two young women are such jewels. They are to be commended.

Pleasant hotel in quiet area

We very much enjoyed our stay here. We liked the various comfortable sitting areas around the hotel. Staff were very pleasant. Breakfast was ok - standard European (the sweet cake was made by one of the waiting staff). Shame the jacuzzi was so expensive, I don't think it was used during our 5 days there, the price no doubt putting people off.
The hotel was walking distance to the old town but far enough away from the hustle and bustle so for us, perfect.
Would recommend.

No restaurant

We arrived at this hotel at a time when the temperature was between 94 & 97 degrees in Puglia. It is situated in Otranto about 10 minutes walk from the castle, harbour and restaurants. The decor is lovely - modern and tasteful, and the staff were nice and helpful. A word of warning though, we assumed from the website that there was a pool with loungers and a restaurant. There is a hot tub (not great in 94 degrees!) on the pleasant roof terrace and they only do breakfast. We do take some responsibility for this ourselves though, because it doesn’t actually say on the website that there is a pool or restaurant, just photo’s of the hot tub with loungers and a dining area, which we assumed catered for all meals. There Is a bar, the air conditioning in the rooms is excellent - thank goodness. It all got to be an bit of an endurance test because of the unusual heat so we cut short our stay and moved to another hotel. I’d recommend it as a sort of city hotel really and I could never stay there for the original 9 nights we booked, because having no restaurant, it all just got to be a bit hard work. Parking is difficult - there is a car park costing 5 euros a night about 400 yards from the hotel. The immediate surroundings of the hotel are not picturesque, to be honest. But for a couple of nights’ stay, the internal ambiance is lovely and the staff are very nice.

We enjoyed a great viait to Otranto because of the comforts provided by the staff. Not having a car, the location was great, and the staff was most helpful with transportation arrangements. The lovely breakfast was a beautiful way to start the day; the relaxing ambiance was appreciated after returning from shopping and sight- seeing. Perfect short getaway

My husband and I had an amazing time here! I don't think the pictures do the place justice because when we rolled up we were pleasantly surprised with the condition of the hotel and the great staff.

The hotel is only a 7 min walk from the main center/old town. The staff are super friendly and always willing to help with anything.

Great selection for breakfast, we never left hungry.

We would deffinstely go back!

Very enjoyable with just a few niggles.
1.Although we requested assistance a number of times we were unable to get Sky channels on the tv in our room.
2.The rooftop jacuzzi is charged at 10 euro per person per session which seems rather steep.
All that aside the hotel was good in other ways with a good breakfast etc

Hotel recommended by friends family

Valle Dell'Idro was recommended to us by a friends family who live in Puglia and we were not disappointed. This is a lovely hotel situated just close enough to centre of Otranto to walk easily to restaurants and far enough and high enough from centre to provide some seclusion and great views. Finding the hotel when driving was a bit if a challenge due to one way system in Otranto and some advice would have been welcome. Once we found hotel the staff were brilliant, helpful, friendly and provided excellent recommendations on restaurants. The hotel provides an excellent breakfast with very good service but does not have a restaurant for evening meals which we thought it should consider providing. Although the restaurants of Otranto are very good indeed sometimes it's nice to stay and enjoy hotel facilities in the evening, especially when it rains! The hotel layout is delightful with several areas to relax in either in shade, sunshine or jacuzzi. Our room was very comfortable with firm bed, good air conditioning, a (sparsely stocked) mini bar and safe. We think this is a great hotel that we would return to and would recommend. You might consider providing evening dinner, provide some driving directions and add a little more to the mini bar.

Lovely relaxing hotel

We stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel itself is very new and in good condition. It almost passes for 5 stars. The only thing we were disappointed with was the bed. We found the mattress very uncomfortable. After the first night we asked if they could change it but they said they were new and they didn't have any alternative. The staff were very helpful during our stay.

Good hotel for exploring Otranto

The Valle dell'Idro is located away from the hustle and bustle of the centre of Otranto but is an easy 10 minute walk to the old town. Very friendly staff who will go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Rooms are quite basic but we didn't spend much time in the room and they are clean and contemporary nonetheless. The hotel has fantastic outdoor spaces including a garden terrace on the ground floor and two further terraces at the top of the hotel including a jacuzzi with stunning views across Otranto. Continental breakfast was of a good quality and omelettes were also available on request which was a nice touch. Great to be able to have breakfast outside on the terrace too. A good hotel which I'd definitely return to if I was in the area again.

The rooms were well furnished, sky TV was in every room. The Mini Bar was well stocked at reasonable prices. The staff were very helpful. The roof terrace was an excellent place to \"chill\" and was well furnished. The hotel was about a 10 minute walk from the beach & the castle, but transport was available if required ( old town, beach, station ) - you must visit Lecce a wonderful city, packed with history, try the Train only 3.50 euros for a 50Km journey.

Good hotel with excellent staff. Very relaxing and well maintained.
Be warned about a couple of things - they only do breakfast - that's not an issue as the local restaurants are superb.
The bathrooms are pretty inadequate. No bath and a 3/4 sized shower which frankly was very difficult to shower in.
The council empty the wheely bins at 4:15 am every day. Nice and noisy.
The hotel is a 10 minute stroll from the old town centre - which we loved as it's great to get some exercise before pigging out on the superb food.
A great relaxing set of patios on the 2nd and 3rd floors leave loads of space to chillax in the hot afternoons.
Other than the shower I wouldn't think twice about rebooking.

The weather was good during our stay so we enjoyed the sunshine and walking around the shops and places of interest in town. Several choices of restaurants or where to eat but rather expensive. Otranto is a small town so if you want to visit other towns nearby, best to hire a car as public transport is not convenient.

Relaxing place

A nice and comfortable one night stay. Reception staff was very kind. Common areas were lovely. To provide guest all day long with free water jugs, cakes and tarallini was an attentive touch that you can't find easily in other hotels. The room was not very spacious but was super clean and nicely furnished.

A little gem in Otranto

This is a beautiful, peaceful, relaxing little place in Otranto! Me and my boyfriend stayed there for a week in July and we had an amazing time.
Everything in this hotel is perfect: the decor, the atmosphere, the service, the staff (very kind and helpful), the amazing terrace where you can enjoy the most beautiful sunsets, the location -only a few minutes away from the Castle and the old town centre.
Definetelly reccommended to couples for a romantic stay!

A really lovely hotel on a quiet street but only 5-10 mins walk to the town centre. The staff were great and helped with planning trips including looking into train schedules for us (thanks Stefania!).

And a very good price in May when we went.

Very nice hotel with beautiful rooms and fantastic terraces. Everyone was so friendly and service minded. Since we visit the hotel on low season (May 18) we had all sunbeds on the terraces for ourselfs. They also have a garage if you find it hard to find parking on the street outside the hotel. Only a few minutes walk to the centre of town.

Tres bel hotel proche du centre ville d'Otranto !

Tres belle petitz ville côtière ! Concernant l'hôtel, tres bien situé et le personnel est tres gentil. Un merci à Hanane et ses collegues pour les recommandations. Le petit dejeuner est simple mais très bon. Je le recommande vivement !

Hôtel difficile à trouver car le quartier est sillonné de sens unique et le parking est à trois cents mètres de l' Hôtel mais le personnel est aux petits soins et vous emmenera ou vous ramènera en triporteur ! L'hôtel est confortable, les terrasses sont sympas avec le spa. Le tout conforme à un 4 étoiles.

Süsses Hotel an guter Lage

Zimmer hatte eine angenehme Grösse, das Bad war top. Das Hotel ist eher ruhig und gut gelegen, das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war eher speziell, teils Selbstbedienung, teils serviert - denke ist Corona-bedingt. Der Parkplatz zum Hotel ist weiterweg und kompliziert zu finden, mit Gate-Schlüssel.

L’emplacement est idéal à quelques minutes du centre historique. Un parking est à disposition à 500m de l’hôtel. La chambre est grande et il y a aussi un frigo. Le petit-déjeuner est très agréable car il peut être pris sur la terrasse.

Buona opzione per Otranto

Buon Hotel,
comodo vicino al centro di Otranto. Colazione basic. Quello che è mancato è una chiara comunicazione dei servizi disponibili (es. jacuzzi: il fatto che esista come fosse prenotabile, quanto costasse). Per il resto il team è molto disponibile.

Hotel in posizione centrale e strategica, le stanze sono veramente molto pulite e spaziose. Il servizio è impeccabile, le ragazze alla reception sono cordiali e gentili. La chicca è la jacuzzi sul tetto. La colazione molto buona ed abbondante. Se dovessi tornare ad Otranto andrei sicuramente qui. Lo consiglio vivamente

Ottimo hotel, camere spaziose e molto curate, pulizia ineccepibile, colazione ottima personale gentile e disponibile, molto vicino al centro storico di Otranto, l’unico problema è che le camere non sono insonorizzata
