We would stay again, but not when the weather is at all warm. There is no air conditioning, which made a stay on the top floor very uncomfortable at night. There was a tabletop fan in the room, but it made a lot of noise.

Location is great. Lack of ironing board is not great on a business trip. Towels removed, but not replaced - slight oversight by the staff. Carpet in room was a little manky around the edges. All that said, I will still be back.

ighly recommend a stay at KRONE

The location, just steps from the historic center, is perfect. The room was large, quiet, and clean. The bed was the most comfortable of our 3 week trip. The breakfast staff is friendly and efficient and the buffet is extensive and includes both hot and cold choices. The stay included a Brixen card providing free entry to several museums. We would absolutely stay again.

Modern amenities old time charm

Our room and balcony overlooking a garden was modernly update, beautiful and immaculately clean. There were lovely touches throughout the hotel including art work, a rooftop spa and deck, evening complementary appetizers. The only part of our stay that didn't live up to the rest of the hotel was the breakfast--it was fine, just not the same quality everything else. We strongly recommend this hotel.

Recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Brixen!

I stayed for 4 nights, doing family research. I found the rooms very clean & comfortable, the staff (including the cleaning service- one of whom offered to let me use her cell phone when mine went haywire) very friendly & helpful, and it was conveniently located in the city center and about a 5 minute walk to the train/bus station. Have nothing bad to report!

Overall the hotel was good. The room seemed newly refurbished. Large bathroom. The front desk staff were courteous enough but not very forth coming with information ie wifi was down. They did not know when it would be working again. Not all staff were well informed about things at the hotel. Location to find the hotel via car was tricky, but once found, the location was great for exploring the town.

If you are attending a conference at the Forum in Bressanone, this is the closest hotel to it.
It is a nice and comfortable hotel. The food at the restaurant is very nice too.
The internet is switched off at night which is a nuisance if you are catching up with your emails although it comes back on again at 7 am so you will be busy at breakfast time!

Great place to stay!

This hotel is great! This is the second time we have stayed here and found it to be consistently good. The hotel is convenient to the old city/downtown of Brixen. It is easy to walk to everything and parking is conveniently located under the hotel. It is also close to the train station. The rooms are large and clean and the balconies have great views. The hotel is close to a good selection of shopping, bars, restaurants and attractions. The staff is friendly and helpful. They helped us with every request. They have bicycles available and even recommended a route for us to take and provided train information on how to take the train back if we decided not to bike back from our destination. The furniture is slightly dated in the rooms but the cleanliness, the size of the rooms, convenience of the location and helpfulness of the staff more than make up for it. We would recommend this hotel and stay here again as well.

Good hotel that needs to determine its audience

Stayed in summer, which is not high season in Brixen/Bressanone at all, so some of the alpine/ski-lodge feel seemed odd. It's a beautiful city in the summer so I'll probably be back and it's a good hotel, but there were some issues. I was there on a weekend mostly to work. Couldn't get A/C to work on some hot days and staff wasn't much help. Wireless internet (supposedly included) was basically non-functional, so needed to use the wired, which also wasn't much good, but at least worked a bit, but it's shut off at midnight(!) so don't expect to work/surf late. The question for the hotel is, are you a spa hotel catering to pleasure seekers? If so, why are no spa amenities available most of Saturday or all day Sunday, and bike rental (which was a highlight when I stayed in 2010) not available? If you're a mixed-use/business friendly hotel, then the net and the desk needs to be improved -- worst chair I've ever sat in; had back pains for two days afterwards. Nice balcony (despite not booking a balcony room) with amazing view and great bathroom. Good hotel bar (but closed during day on Sunday). This visit I'd give a 3 to; my last visit was a 4 or 5, so I'll average since I didn't review last time, and give a 4 but with some misgivings.

I rate the service low because of the front desk being closed from between midnight to 7:30 am. It is therefore not possible to check out before 7:30. That prevented me from taking an early train. Also the e-mail connection failed during the night preventing me to do necessary correspondence.

Beautiful hotel!

The hotel was very clean and up to date. The rooms are larger and our room had a huge balcony with a view of the old town and the surrounding mountains. The lobby of the hotel and hotel bar were also very nice with a neat indoor koi fish pond. The location in the old part of the town was perfect too and it was a quick walk to see the sights and to the restaurants.

Great hotel, great price!

I stayed in the Goldene Krone hotel for 4 nights in February. I was on a business trip, so was up early and out late every night. The hotel was comfortable, spotless, conveniently located within walking distance of anywhere I wanted to go. The breakfast was very nicely prepared, the staff is very friendly (and fully tri-lingual - Italian, German, and English), and all for a very nice price, even in the height of ski season! One warning: the internet does shut down at midnight (and it costs 0.08 Euro cents per minute), so if you are a late night worker, this is something that you will need to keep in mind.

this hotel had it all - great staff, clean rooms, decent food, central location and a free spa! Then they gave us a Brixen card - free museums, trains, cable cars - for the duration of your stay: saved us a fortune. Further - we travel in a precious classic car and recaptionist took one look at it and volunteered to lock it in the secure garage for a very nominal sum - other hotels cost a fortune. Bressanone is a really nice place - great places to see, eat, good shopping. All in all a great stay!

Unica nota deludente per chi ama lo sci è il fatto di non avere una vera Sky room, gli scarponi da sci li abbiamo dovuti portare in camera, naturalmente essendo situato al centro della città è ottimo per chi è appassionato di bike.

Ottima locazione in centro e comunque di facilissimo accesso e agevole ai trasporti.
Non ho scelto colazione quindi non posso giudicare nè ho usufruito di garage.
Benchè mi sia fermato una sola note mi hanno offerto un up-grade gratuito e la camera al terzo piano (raggiunto facilamente con ascensore) ha un belissimo affaccio con terrazza.
Ottima la spa al quinto piano con vista unica su tutta la città.
Se tornerò a Bressanone, e ci tornerò perchè la città è gradevolissima, sicuramene sceglierò questa locazione.

Great location

Hotel Krone has a great location in the centre of Brixen. All services and restaurants are just around the corner. Hiking routes are easily accessible also without a car by bus. Room was spacious but there was no aircondition.

Prenotata camera con balcone, con molta sorpresa aprendo la porta finestra troviamo il balcone con le impalcature pieno di calcinacci e altra roba da cantiere= inutilizzabile, cosa molto grave hanno tolto il divisorio del balcone tra questa e un altra stanza, mettici pure che la finestra (rotta)non si chiudeva ci potevamo ritrovare estranei dentro la camera, hotel 4 stelle ma che 4 stelle non è, mancanza del doppio cuscino, mancanza dei set di cortesia, mancanza di ciabatte, mancanza dei saponi. Colazione nella media zona in pieno centro ben servita da negozi.

Mooi hotel met goede keuken

Aangezien het duidelijk was dat ik na 20:00 zou aankomen, tot 4x toe geprobeerd het hotel te bellen en werd telkens afgebroken. Teneinde raad een mail gestuurd en daar een reactie op gekregen. Aangezien de keuken tot 22:00 open was zou het geen probleem hoeven te zijn. Mogelijk iets om bij de bijzonderheden te vermelden. Aangezien ik met een groot en hoog voertuig onderweg was kon ik niet bij het hotel parkeren omdat deze auto niet in de parkeergarage past en dus ergens op straat moest worden geparkeerd waar het gezien de zaterdagavond erg druk was. Uiteindelijk op 1,5 km van het hotel een plek kunnen vinden in een woonwijk. Het ontbijt was goed verzorgd en de kamer was prima in orde.

Gutes Hotek mitten in der Altstadt von Brixen

Wir hatten einige schöne Tage in diesem Hotel. Gebucht hatten wir ein Zimmer mit Bergblick und Balkon. Morgens konnten wir die Sonne auf dem Balkon genießen.
Das Zimmer war groß und die Betten bequem. Holzfußboden im Hotelzimmer gefällt mir immer gut.
Das Bad ist groß, hatte zwei Waschbecken und ein Bidet, leider keine Dusche. Es gab eine wunderschöne große Eckbadewanne, die allerdings für ältere Personen sehr ungünstig ist. Es war für mich nicht ganz einfach, in die Wanne rein und vor allem wieder heraus zu kommen.
Das Hotel liegt mitten in der Altstadt von Brixen mit vielen tollen Restaurants.

Fijn hotel in een prachtig stadje

Heerlijk hotel in hartje Brixen wat een verrassend pittoresk en gezellig plaatsje is met volop mooie pleintjes en terrasjes. Hotel Krone ligt midden in het centrum. Goede service prima kamer en heerlijk eten. Vanuit hier ben je ook zo in de bergen met volop activiteiten.
Minpuntje was de airco die we in Augustus wel echt miste. De bedbank voor de kinderen was wel wat hard.

Abbiamo trascorso 5 giorni in famiglia ad agosto. L’hotel è situato in pieno centro quindi è comodissimo per visitare la città e i dintorni.
La Brixen Card è inclusa e fa la differenza per entrare nei musei (anche di Bolzano) e per i trasporti.
Colazione abbondante; camere ampie e pulite.
Possibilità noleggio bici in loco.

Hotel molto bello, in posizione strategica per immergersi subito nel centro pedonale do Brixen. Le camere nel complesso sono belle, suggerirei la sostituzione della moquette con pavimento in legno in tutte, e per essere un 4 stelle maggiore attenzione ai dettagli (kit cortesia, accappatoi, acqua...)

Ho soggiornato in questa struttura con la mia famiglia in pieno agosto 2020.

PRO
- Struttura molto bella e moderna
- Posizione invidiabile, essendo situata in pieno centro
- Parcheggio (a pagamento)
- Pulizia impeccabile
- Cordialità e disponibilità del personale

CONTRO
- Arredamento della stanza vetusto e trascurato, in netta contrapposizione con l'ottima struttura dell'hotel.
- Manca l'aria condizionata. Rimanere in camera durante il pomeriggio è impossibile.
- Rumorosità. L'unico modo per dormire è aprire la finestra ma, purtroppo, così facendo si è esposti agli inevitabili schiamazzi provenienti dalla via del centro sottostante fino a notte inoltrata. Consiglio di chiedere una stanza lato cortile, anche se credo che costi di più.
- Prezzo. Naturalmente ad agosto costa tutto di più, ma per i motivi descritti sopra ho trovato il rapporto qualità/prezzo non soddisfacente.

CI TORNEREI / LO CONSIGLIEREI ?
In inverno, probabilmente sì. La maggior parte dei problemi si risolvono da soli e davvero il personale è molto accogliente.
In estate... mi spiace ma non tornerei.
Fornire le stanze di un ventilatore a soffitto, se non proprio di aria condizionata, risolverebbe il problema. Tornare verso le 5 del pomeriggio, dopo una giornata di escursioni, volendosi rilassare un paio d'ore prima di uscire per la cena, e non poterlo fare, perché in stanza ci sono 35 gradi e non un filo d'aria non è il massimo.

Hotel buono, pulito e ottima posizione, potrebbe eccellere se togliesse un po’ di mobili vecchi in camera , una colazione a buffet più ricca e con caffè e cappuccino servito, una capo sala più cortese, ... prezzo ottimo

Come NON rendere piacevole una vacanza

pagato 7 giorni stanza 3 letti ma in realtà oltre al matrimoniale il terzo posto letto era una brandina ricavata da un divano letto (scomoda per un adulto ).
La ventola aspiratore del bagno (senza finestra ) non ha mai funzionato nonostante si sia segnalato alla reception per ben due volte l'inconveniente...
Infine una storiella che la dice lunga su quale sia l'ospitalità di alcuni soggetti che lavorano nella struttura. La sera del 31 dicembre alle 23,45 rientrato in hotel ( sobrio ) dopo aver cenato in un ristorante della città domando al cameriere al lavoro dietro al banco bar dell'hotel , una bottiglia di spumante da stappare in camera per la mezzanotte... Mi viene risposto con freddezza glaciale che non è possibile con la motivazione che la cassa del bar aveva già chiuso......

Piacevole sorpresa!

L’hotel si trova in pieno centro a Bressanone, la camera era la 223 ed era molto grande con vista sulla strada principale.
All’arrivo ci hanno fatto trovare sul cuscino 2 mele rosse della zona cosa molto gradita (Buonissime). Il personale alla reception molto gentile e disponibile.
Hanno un piccolo parcheggio interno che ha un costo di 9 € al giorno. La colazione la mattina era Fantastica ci trovavi davvero di tutto dal dolce al salato a tantissimi tipi di pane (anche prodotti senza glutine), salumi, 3 tipi diversi di miele, frutta, c’era pure un estrattore con a disposizione tanti frutti/verdure per poter fare un estratto vegetale.
All’interno dell’hotel c’è pure un ristorante/bar.
All’ultimo piano è presente un piccolo centro benessere (compreso nel costo della prenotazione).
Appena arrivi ti danno in omaggio la Brixen card, in più sono pure convenzionati con l’Acquarena (una enorme struttura con tante piscine interne che esterne) e con un bellissimo centro benessere (per il centro benessere devi pagare aggiungere 14 €, mentre l’accesso alle piscine è gratuito).
Che dire... è stata una piacevole sorpresa, se torno a Bressanone sicuramente riprenoto al Krone!
