No amenities - didn't have any plastic or glass or any containers to drink out of nor any ice buckets (which didn't matter as the ice machine was out of order). No coffee available; pool and hot tub empty & not available; \"game room\" machines gone; room curtains & box spring mattresses shredded. Mattress comfortable enough but extends over foot of bed & when I sat on edge to put on my shoes the mattress flipped and I fell onto ground (didn't get hurt). I've stayed there many times - last around 5 years ago & will never stay there again. The current cliental are less than desirable (just an observation - not a judgement). I only wound up staying. is because of Dino's restaurant right next door and they are wonderful. Also, I was only staying overnight. So sad - used to be OK.

The staff was nice, but the whole hotel was dirty. We were looking forward to the pool. It wasn’t working. We were looking forward to a breakfast. There wasn’t any the area was very isolated. Broken glass and trash outside, not appealing at all the air conditioning barely work. The gym wasn’t working no equipment online. It says that all these amenities were included. There were none.

Cleanliness and useablility.

The building itself is very old, and the entire inside reeks of cigarettes and marijuana. The room we stayed in had a door to connect to the room next to it, and they were smoking marijuana all night. Our room reeked. The only thing going for this place is they have really comfortable beds.

No air conditioner in the room?, Towels were stained and like rubbing sand paper on your body., Hair was in the tub had a pulled out myself to let the water drain. Drug deals in the parking lot heavy drinking in the parking Also the people doing to drinking throwing up near entrance way of building. Many more I think that's enough.

I've legit stayed at a lot of hotels and motels and this took the cake for the worst kept place we've been to. We were placed on the first floor... good luck sleeping with people walking upstairs. Went to complain and front desk agent said this is around the time they get ready to go to work (this was at 3am). Two hours later nope still walking around...6am comes and we hear birds chirping like they're in our room ffs... next to zero sleep on a crap bed where you're rolling towards your partner or stuck on the edge. The floors were clearly not vacuumed before we arrived... the outside had cigarette but piles that were out of control. Then the kicker is wanting to use the \"spa\" aka an empty hot tub, and a pool area that's been do ransacked I was told by front desk you had to ask them to let you in with a physical key because kids have ruined it repeatedly...

They should pay people to stay there. To be open and charge anyone a dime to stay here is criminal imo and I work in the hospitality industry so I've seen the way things should and shouldn't be run. This place is a prime example of what not to do at every step of the game.

Very minimal amenities. No hair dryer or coffee maker. The room was in need of updating and repairs. The curtains were shredded, and the paint was peeling by the window. In the bathtub not sure if the grout was just dirty or it was mold. I will say the hotel.is quiet and the housekeeper knocked everyday and asked if I needed anything.

Decades ago this may have been the best hotel in the area. They had a good pool area, arcade, and still have a nice gym. Dino's restaurant is attached to the hotel which is a nice feature.

Currently, this hotel is old, dirty and outdated. It is affordable and the housekeeping staff did do a good job. Ammenities like the hot tub are out of order. The ripped up carpeting made me hesitant to travel anywhere but the room to the exit. The parking lot is so bad, I worried about getting a flat tire driving in and out.

On a positive note, I stayed here for three nights and you could tell they are agressively remodeling. They have alot of work to do but have to the potential to become a decent hotel once again.

No chair in room. Light over sink worked intermittently.

It is being renovated so there were carpet installing tools on the stairs and rolls of carpet in a couple spots. The hot tub was empty and the water in the pool was cloudy so we could not enjoy these amenities. The room was tidy but the mirror was spattered. The clerk at the desk was having to check people in and try to get a hold of the maintenance person. She did not have a number for him and had to go get a chair for a guest herself. She tried to contact the manager and could not get a hold of him either. I think when the renovations are complete it will be a nice place to stay. The clerk was very friendly even under trying circumstances.

The hotel is doing renovations so the inside is a bit disheveled but, I think it will look great once its done.
Our room was beautiful, large, and clean! It's a great place to stay if you want to go to The Dells and not spend a fortune on a hotel. Its just a 20 min drive to The Dells strip and all shopping outlets.There's a Walmart and Goodwill right behind the hotel and a restaurant inside. We did not eat in the restaurant but was told by locals that they have very good food with decent prices.

When we were checking in he couldnt find my reservations. Did it thru Hotels.com The front desk person was very confused took over 20 mins and he still struggled to find.my reservation. Dont think he did cause he said it was paid for in cash, but i paid on hotels.com i finally got.my room half hour later. They are renovating so things are dirty. Room was ok, AC WORKED GREAT. Toilet is for little people but shower was good! Maybe next time id just try their website.

6/03/23: DO NOT STAY HERE! Property is under construction. Carpet in elevator and common areas was beyond filthy. Told our room had new carpet and new beds. Not so. Stains on blankets. Cheetos under one bed. My skin crawled. We immediately left. The 2 women at the front desk were very nice. Agreed to full refund. Expedia helped. It was deplorable that our booking was even taken. The hotel seems to be in the middle of a major renovation. We checked in late after attending a wedding, and the sign for the place was dark, and the clerk seemed puzzled that we actually had a reservation. There were some vehicles at the place, but not many. They put us on the third floor and told us the elevator was out. There appears to be construction debris most everywhere. The room we got was very spacious and appeared to have been partially remodled, but it absolutely reeked of ancient cigarette smoke. The place might have potential when they finish it, but it seems a mess now.

The Ridge completely disappointed. The first room they gave me had fishing bait left in the refrigerator and the a/c didn’t work. I went down to the desk (couldn’t call because the phone didn’t work) and the woman at the desk gave me excuse after excuse. I finally told her to fix the problem, so I got a new room. The new room had a NASTY refrigerator that didn’t work, I just dealt with it cause I figured I couldn’t expect better. The desk and television blocked the room mirror, which was filthy. They appear to be doing some redecorating or remodeling, however the hall and stairway walls and carpets were filthy, the outside of the building was unkempt. Not a nice experience and not a nice place to stay if you are visiting Portage.

The room itself was \"ok\". I mean the water worked and shower drained. But the rest of the building looked like its in the middle of a remodel project that started in 2004 and hasnt been touched in years. It was hard to find parking next to the building between the abandoned vehicles with flat tires. And the extra caricular activities in the parking lot at 1am made me worry about my vehicle and it's contents. I travel through this area a lot and will never stay there again.

The staff was courteous and helpful. Condition of the room was ok. It was a $65 room on a Sat night. Bed and bathroom were clean. Light over sink didnt turn on, carpet was well used, wall paper peeling , you could see the water damage on the wall under the air conditioner unit. But the room was not musty or moldy smelling. Our door looked like it had been broken in to several times. If my husband hadnt been with me , I would have asked for a different room.

Definitely in need of an upgrade. As others have mentioned, the restaurant was closed and ice machine not working. Carpet was threadbare, paint and wallpaper were peeling off the walls. But we expected this after reading the reviews. There was a refrigerator and microwave in the room, and the room was quiet, clean and comfortable. At the price we paid, I would go back again.

This property was disgusting! The carpets are filthy, we couldn’t even take our shoes off! No security as the outside doors are literally open and do not lock so anyone can come and go as they please. The air conditioner comes on and off every five minutes no matter what temp it is at so it is difficult to sleep. Restaurant and bar are closed. Front office lady was super nice but when she gave us the keys said they were “security coded” these are regular keys so impossible it was an outright lie. Would never stay here again and you shouldn’t either unless you like nasty!!

The price was good for the quality of the motel. The room had two queen beds. One was very soft. The other bed was a little firmer, and we did get a good nights sleep.
The carpet was stained and very dirty. The bathroom floor was also sticky. We were not able to walk around without our shoes on. Also felt a little unsafe, as there is a fitness center in the motel, so the outside doors are always open. When we got back to the room about midnight, we seriously thought about checking out and not staying the night.

My mom liked that there was a restaurant connected to the hotel. Dino's has some good food, the only thing is it gets loud when you have an abundance of people.

We had a problem in Room 144. The A/C wasn't working correctly and the manager, Bridget was able to put us in Room 142 where there was a workable A/C and we were comfortable after that. She was an amazing person.
