Not so good. Floors were filthy. Towels and wash rags were literal rags. 1night the bathroom door didn't shut. The AC rattled. We got no sleep. All flat square pillows, dirty bathtub with soap and shampoo from previous guest. We got a new room, My ESA dogs are Halal, I guess because they were freaking out every time they saw them and telling me what the rules were for dogs and they weren't allowed. They had my ESA papers but didn't understand. It was a disaster. The second room was filthy. We spent 3 nights. Breakfast was bread, toaster, two cereals, gross yogurt, orange juice, milk, coffee, and dollar store sticky buns. Never again would I go there. I didn't expect luxury, but I expected respect for my service animals and clean floors. I took pictures. I'm pissed. Not even a partial refund offered.

The room seemed and smelled clean, no carpet on the floors, laminate flooring instead and the walls look like they were newly painted. Crawled into bed to find a bug crawling across the sheets, looked closer and found another dead bug. Pulled everything off the bed and the sheets had little brown spots on them. Pulled apart the other bed and it seemed fine. Slept with all our clothes on. Don’t know if it was bed bugs since we did not get bit at all that night.

The property was okay, and the stay was good. my problem was when checking in. The tables in front of the check-in window was STUPID. I couldn't hear the girl checking me in because of the other people in the room waiting to be checked in because I was to far away from her because of the tables.

An outdated motel

Don’t stay here. It is an outdated motel. The AC’s are so loud that they keep you up at night and so inefficient that they barely cool down the room. The only thing walkable is a McDonalds - you can walk into historic downtown but it’s about a mile each way. The channel selection on the TV is very basic. Breakfast is very basic. It’s an old motel in need of renovation and it is not a pleasant place to stay. No safe in the room and no electronic key cards, just an old fashioned key so I would not leave anything valuable in the room. The only nice thing about it is the pool and the fact that it is within easy driving distance of a couple of great distilleries, but there are much nicer places to stay in the area.

We picked the motel for the location after reading previous reviews. We walked directly across the street to My Old Ky Home State park.
The room was very clean, updated, and photo was accurate. Staff was friendly.
The pool was clean and had plenty of seating with umbrella tables.
Great value. Location and a simple free breakfast included.

Rode up for the Hoka Hey Rendezvous, and looking at comparable prices, was a little concerned as it was less than half the cost.

For sure, this is a motel facility, but what a pleasant surprise. Super clean, convenient, and incredibly charming. The staff were amazing and friendly.

Sometimes it's the perfect match - a quaint, cozy, friendly place. Not to take anything away from a larger chain, but they can be sterile.

And you just can't beat the price! Super happy and would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We were told after getting in the pool and my grandson swimming for sometime that the pool was not yet opened due to health department not inspecting it yet. When ask why it wasn't locked with a sign on it management got very rude and stated everyone should know the pools in Bardstown did not open until after June 1st.

This was a completely terrible experience. First the day I was going to check in the hotel manager called me to ask me whattime i was giing to arrive. Then i was informed that there may not be staff on hand to check out with so I should lock my key in my roomwhen checking out.
When i arrived the front desk couldn't find my prepaid reservation. After calling someone on the phone all in a language I couldn't understand they found my reservation. I went to the room and dropped of my luggage and went to eat. When i came back i inspected the room and it was filthy. Hair in the sheets, the floor was slick, there were stains all over the matress. The towels had streaksof something on them like it didnt come out in the wash. The sheets were tissue paper thin. At this point I didnt want to fight again in a foreign language so i just checked out and left.

Covers the basics & it's clean but that's it. My room had no tissues & no iron. I was in town on business & couldn't iron the outfit I packed.

It's allergy season & there were no tissues.

The blankets aren't much thicker than tissues but that isn't any help.

To make matters worse, I had a family emergency & had to leave a day early and when I was checking out, the front desk staff tells me, 'Well, you booked online thru a third party site and we've already paid them their commission.'

Ok, sure, I get that. But I was literally going back because a family member was in a medical crisis. Don't make my early check out about *your commission*.

The rooms are better than expected gauging from the outside of the building. Came into town for a bourbon weekend. The festival was going on so places were scarce. The rooms are older but have been updated. The tv is small and not a smart tv so you can’t stream and no real premium channels. Bypassed breakfast because it is in the small lobby area. It served it purpose but would not be one I would hunt down to stay at again.

I booked online and they had the audacity to tell us next time pay inside, and stop paying online. we like to save money, that’s what the app is for. Checkout time is not 11 it’s more like 9:30-10 and sometimes if they are feeling nice it’s 10:30. But the place itself is nice. Well kept up with and clean.

It is an older hotel that has been updated. It was relatively clean except for the floors that needed a good cleaning. My white socks were dirty from walking on the vinyl plank flooring at night. In the morning, I wiped lots of dirt off my feet before putting on my shoes.

This hotel is dirty. There was a stain of some sort behind the toilet…disgusting. Our sheet had eyelashes, hair and a small blood spot on it. I did speak to the owners and they changed the sheets immediately but along with the dirty bathroom, I was just uncomfortable staying in this hotel.

Hotel right across the street from the Old Kentucky Home State Park. It was a 0.5 mile walk from the center of Bardstown in a quiet area. It is not fancy. The manager is very friendly and helpful. It is close to many distilleries. It is reasonably priced.

The sheets and bedding were very rough, kind of felt like sandpaper. Our room doors would not unlock with the key. They gave us a new key and it still would not unlock, both property managers had to come up and used several keys. Just know it is a basic , somewhat clean hotel .

Refurbished older motel complete with old-time style brass room key on big plastic tag. Interior was clean and starkly efficient. Fine for our one night stay. AC/heater under front window is very loud even at low speed. Hotel faces a bysy local street so every noisy passing vehicle is easily heard. If you’re a light dleeper, consider elsewhere. However for the price, room is acceptable and a good bargain.

There was still dirty clothes in the room when first arriving at the property. There was no heat in the room. We had to go buy blankets just to stay warm while in the room. The mini fridge did not work at all. The electrical outlet near one side of the bed didn’t work at all. The lady that checked us in, wasn’t very personable at all. Gave her the last name on the reservation, said she had it. Still asked to see it on my phone. The only nice thing about this place is it where it is located. Otherwise you are better off staying somewhere else.
