I would not say 4-star service or quality. I have booked the hotel for my young family based on descriptions that it is a 4 star up market hotel. I stayed in many hotels and this is by no means an up market and 4 star hotel.
We arrived about 20 mins prior check-in time with my wife and little baby. Room wasn't ready and told only can guarantee after 3pm. No problem of course, so we went for lunch. Came back after lunch about 3.30pm. Room still wasn't available and had to wait for another c. 20 mins. They apologised and got free drink voucher but not too helpful when after long trip want to rest (including your young baby). Whilst waiting no baby changing area other than the spa, where ramp was not accessible due to work (no one mentioned before booking) so carried pram up stars (then down).

When finally got the room:
- light in bathroom did not work (took about 40 mins to fix)
- no towel supply only couple of small ones (apparently they have not received cleaning) and not even automatically topped up later
- two wholes by head of bed with cables tucked inside (assume light or sockets used to be there)
- at leats had some bath robes although one was worn out
- interconnecting door not locked

Smaller thing but at breakfast asked for decaf coffee. First they said no problem then came back saying sorry they cannot provide.

Anything but 4 star or up market!

We love the location, Watching the sale boats go by was a very special treat! The room and accommodations were very nice and the staff was very helpful. The only complaint was that the air conditioner did not cool the room enough, so we had to open the door, and the light woke us up very early in the morning. I would suggest curtains which block the light so that the guests can sleep late.

Hot rooms

No AC, room was crazy hot and couldn’t open the windows without swarms of flies coming in. Staff was friendly but it’s fairly outdated, this is definitely not a 4* property.

A nice hotel, but mislead about the gym

The service and food was fantastic and the view of the lake was great. It felt like a 4* hotel. The only reason I have left the total average review of 3 star is that we chose this hotel because it's advertised as a wellness hotel with a gym. We struggled to find the gym as the signage didn't go anywhere. When asking we were told it was upstairs and to continue looking. After searching the all the floors in detail we asked reception who said they don't have a gym, and that it was replaced with a kids play area. My girlfriend explained to reception that we only chose this hotel for the gym, and no goodwill gesture was made from them.

Close to dock, easy access to Tihany, that's all

Pros:
- Food - actually quite nice buffet for breakfast and dinner
- Some english speaking (basic) staff
- Close to the dock so you can take the ferry to Balaton and Tihany quite easily for day trips

Cons:
- I forgot my charger - the hotel information said that they can provide with chargers and adaptors but when you ask them, its an outright nonono we don't have that
- Furnishings are quite old - the aircon is rather noisy and isn't very powerful (especially when it is hot)
- Wifi - I was on the ground floor and while the service will show 1 bar of reception, I could not maintain 1-2mins of wifi connection at all. How disappointing

Overall, decent time at the hotel. Many quality of life things that could improve on though.

Great lake side comfort

Wonderful and positive surprise after a day riding the motorcycle. The hotel is very comfortable and the room are spacious, the bed is great and the view fantastic! The service is very friendly and helpful too.

Great stop before Budapest!

We decided to stop by this place on our way to Budapest from Vienna. Excellent location - right on the lake, beautiful location for evening walk and sunset. The rooms are clean, the hotel staff is very friendly, breakfast and dinner were both nice big selection with vegetarian options. The hotel has a very nice and clean pool and hot tub as well.

Would Stay There Again

The hotel is situated at the Lake Balaton.
The room was sizeable, modern, well equipped with a lake view. Both the room and bathroom were clean.
Staff was polite and helpful.
Both breakfast and dinner were good, I especially enjoyed the latter.
Wellness area was good and clean. My only issue was that I have found the water in the swimming pool too cold.

Preis Leistung stimmt nicht

Hellhörige Zimmer, Laut - sowohl durch Gäste, als auch durch Klimaanlagen außen und Umgebung, in die Jahre gekommen, schmutziger Balkon, schmutzige Fassade durch Schwalben, teures Zimmer in Relation zu miserabler ausziehcouch für 3. Person.

Service und Personal bemüht und freundlich. Am Personal liegt es nicht- sehr wohl aber offenbar an den Eigentümern, die nichts investieren. Restaurant ok und auch modern.

Fine rom og fint anlegg, men både frokost og middagsbuffetten var lavmål. Maten ble sjelden påfylt under måltidet, og tredje dagen fikk vi en meget dårlig eggerøre til frokost. Bare jeg spiste dendenne mandagen, og jeg ble matforgiftet. Er enda ikke bra. Meg og min samboer spiste samme mat, utenom denne, og han merket ingenting.

Comme des vacances

Un endroit à découvrir car le lac Balaton est formidable. L’hôtel récent au bord du lac avec une belle piscine couverte. Chambre moderne et spacieuse, avec vue sur le lac. Le restaurant est bon sans plus mais le service efficace. Situation centrale pas très loin du centre et du port de Siofok. Une bonne adresse !

Schönes Hotel mit viel Potential

Die Zimmer in diesem Hotel sind sehr schön. Man hat alles was man braucht.
Auch die Putzkraft reinigt das Zimmer perfekt und räumtvsehr ordentlich auf.

Der Service der Kellnerinnen allerdings lässt sehr zu wünschen übrig.
Am Tisch wurden wir ohne Trinken gelassen. Es wurde nicht mal gefragt, ob wir etwas zu trinken benötigen.
Auch nach erfolgter Bestellung wurden wir nicht bedient, sondern mussten das Personal noch einmal auffordern.

Setzte man sich an einen freien Tisch, an dem das Besteck fehlte, bemühte sich keiner der Mitarbeiter uns Besteck zu bringen.

Wenn man eine halbe Stunde vor Ende des Abendessens kommt, muss man damit rechnen, nur noch die Restbestände ds Buffets zu bekommen.
Es wurde nicht mehr aufgefüllt.
Wenn man Vegetarier ist, ist das sehr ärgerlich, wenn die vegetarischen Speißen schon aus sind. Dann bleibt nur noch Nachtisch und wässrige Suppe, da der Inhalt ebenfalls schon weg ist.

Einer Mitarbeiterin fiel an unserem letzten Abend ein Messer auf den Boden.
Kein Problem, das passiert ständig und häufig.
Allerding hob sie es nicht auf oder ließ es kurz liegen, um ihre vollen Hände zu entleeren, sondern kickte es mit den Füßen durch den gesamten Essenssaal bis zur Küche.
Bei einem Hotel, welches mit 4 Sternen bewertet ist, ist das eine echte Zumutung.

Alles in allem war der Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel als sehr schlecht zu bewerten.
Der Zimmerservice war sehr gut, der Rest unzumutbar.
