The location and restaurant are excellent, however, this is a “bare bones” hotel. We had to pay a daily fee to use the room safe, a first for me, they provide no tissues, there was not even a Do Not Disturb sign to hang on the door, and no hand towels.

I liked the stay and convenience of the property location and the staff was very courteous.The property is beautiful and very well maintained.
Wished they had outdoor cocktails service and lunch on the beach.
However management wasn’t forthcoming in maintaining accountability for what was verbally promised and negotiated. There was no Honor in their Word!

Had no issues checking in. Service by all staff was exceptional for sure. Although, the hotel charges € 1.50 per day for the use of the safe. Honestly, when you are charging as much as they are, why be petty with such an insignificant amount. Bad PR. It should be free as well as at least a bottle of water.

This hotel is located on a beautiful beach in Albufeira. It’s a lovely property within walking distance of the historic town & waterfront activities.

The complementary breakfast was delicious. It had many options from cereal to fruits, desserts, drinks, deli meats & cheeses, breads, egg dishes and hot drinks like coffee & tea. You can also have an omelette prepared by asking one of the waiters.

The views from this beach are spectacular. The accommodations in the room are also nice. I thought the fresh oranges was a nice touch.

My one recommendation to the hotel is to improve the bed quality. The bed was very hard. I love the property but it was difficult to sleep in such a hard bed, with very little linens. I put the extra cover they had in the closet as a top layer for the bed, which made it slightly softer but it was a pretty hard surface.

Having said that, the location is great and the staff were very helpful with tips on restaurants & activities.

Had a wonderful 4 days in Albufeira at the Hotel Alisios. It was a wonderful location, slightly away from teh noise of the old town party strip, but only a 10 minute walk to the escalators into the old town area. The Beachfront room was excellent and well equipped. The only thing we wished it had was a ‘queen bed’ and not 2 singles (not what we were expecting). The staff were very helpful and were happy to share their suggestions for places to see/go. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

I won’t consider the property as a “4 star” hotel. The rooms are clean, however, everything in the rooms need to be upgraded. I was surprised to find out that there’s daily charge for using the safe box in your room! There’s no iron/ ironing table in the rooms! Staff didn’t seem friendly to me,except Ricardo who was very helpful and nice!
Even though there’s access to the beach from hotel there’s deposit down at the hotel for the towels and also there’s fee by the third party for getting sun lounge at the beach! Breakfast buffet was excellent as well as hotel restaurant! The food was amazing and ocean view was stunning!!

When I entered the property it had a sad vibe although the receptionist said it was fully booked it looked like a ghost town. no movement no entertainment no life in the property.

when I got my room though it was for a night the toilet was stinking unbearable smell.

Me and My sister were out the whole and came to sleep just for a night. but for a 4 star this is unacceptable. no body location etc.

I would definately not pay for this stay to be honest very disappointed.

Location can't be better, but this hotel is disappointing. There is nothing really wrong, but many small inconveniences that add to a disappointing stay: small rooms, terrible WiFi, scant options for breakfast, having to pay daily for safe box... it was the most expensive hotel in our month trip around Portugal and Spain and the one that gave us the least out of our money.

Relaxed and comfortable, quiet with a good nights sleep. Good selection at the breakfast buffet. Mostly guests of around our age, 60+, so I`m not so sure about younger families, maybe it was the time of year (early July) but it suited us! Direct access to the beach; sun beds and umbrellas are privately operated, 15 euros for two beds + umbrella. Good WiFi in the hotel and in the room. Easy stroll into the town.

Nice hotel with amazing view.

Staff were pleasant and friendly, hotel is modern and the rooms cleaned daily (although they are a little smaller than we imagined from the pics). The thing that makes this hotel is the location with a great view over the beach and sea which can be enjoyed from the balcony at the bar or the sun loungers and hot tub on the roof of the hotel although the hot tub wasn’t on during our stay (probably due to the season). We walked into the Old Town daily which was a short 15 mins away. Overall, a recommended place to stay.

The room was not very clean. There were no bathroom slippers and no tea making facilities as one would expect. There was an unexpected charge for using the room safe. The toiletries had been used when I checked in. There was not much choice for breakfast The staff were unfortunately unfriendly particularly one lady on reception. Location: Excellent! The hotel has its own private beachfront and sits close the the downtown area overlooking the sea. Lots of dining and shops within an easy (though hilly) walk. Great view from the property and from the sea-facing rooms.

Amenities: The food has a decidedly Continental slant to it (which makes sense given its location), so Americans or others from the Western Hemisphere or Asia should manage their expectations accordingly. Not bad in any case, but those who love their breakfast a certain way would do well to enjoy German or English breakfasts.

The pool is indoors (sad given the sunshine that surrounds one here, but great backup for the rare bad-weather day) and requires BATHING CAPS. Americans and others who don't regularly travel with such an item - you've been warned.

They charge a fee to use room safes, which is an insult to travelers everywhere, in my opinion. I've been to 6 continents and traveled posh and traveled cheap, and I never, ever have had to pay a fee to use a room safe regardless of the property.

Ground floor rooms may have the occasional visit paid by a cockroach (all buildings have them worldwide, but they tend to be more visible at ground level).

Free parking lot is very convenient.

Their beach is lovely and refreshing on the fiercely hot afternoons. Bring (and use) your sunscreen!

If you are staying in Albufeira then this is probably one of the best locations you could choose having had a look around. The hotel staff are very friendly and efficient and i couldn't fault them at all. Its a great location and a very nice hotel.
Food and drink is good - i had lunch and dinner and here. Very calm and peaceful place to spend the evening. I was impressed by the breakfast buffet. Probably one of the best I have ever had.
There was a sense that you needed to be abiding by certain rules and a couple of rules that seem a bit dated - maybe something to reconsider? 1) Swimming cap for pool for hygiene reasons - but i have little hair on my scalp and a beard ... is the beard sterlle then or is it a ruse to make 5 euros from selling swimming caps? Maybe its about long hair blocking filters? If there is a good reason then would be good to say so 2) Trousers at dinner - really? I think this might put people off 3) Removal of robes night before departure for 'internal control'. Actually this didn't happen but leaves a sense that you aren't truly being treated as a responsible adult.

Hotel is nicely situated on the beach in a quiet area 5 mins from the old town.
When we arrived I asked about upgrading to a sea view room and luckily they had already done that without me having to pay which was great. Rooms are decent and clean. One issue was that our double bed was two singles pushed together and with separate bedding and as soon as you move they separated and someone fell down the gap!
Hotel is really aimed at the older holiday maker ,most residents were 60 plus but that was fine with us as we wanted a quiet break anyway.
Breakfast was poor ,the bacon had knuckle in it and the sausages were mini frankfurters that had been boiled to mush but you can get good breakfast in town cheaply so we do that after day one. There isn't an outside pool but there is direct beach access.

We had a wonderful time, the location and the hotel itself were excellent would recommend it to anyone.The beach was right there ,the view from the restaurant/sun deck had the sunrise to the left over the sea and sunset to the right. It was the perfect distance from the night life so you could see the lights but not hear it.Only a 15 minute walk along the shore or street.

Last Minute Short Break to Algarve

Short break only organised the day before travel. Flights booked and then hotel availability searched via internet sites, and we found a room at Alisios. Its very clean and comfortable. Quiet and relaxing, yet only 10 minute walk to old town and bars/ restaurants.

The hotel is nice and clean with good and fresh breakfast. The first line to the sea which makes it really easy if you want to spend your day in the beach. The room was cleaned every day and the condition of it was great! The downturn was the poor internet connection in some of the areas. As well as the bar did not permit us to buy big bottle of water, because it was meant for consumption outside the hotel but not in the bar.

This was a fantastic get away. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The view was gorgeous. The hotel was right on the beach and close to restaurants. The WiFi was not spectacular, but that turned out to be a blessing, because it allowed us to totally unwind and focus on spending time with each other instead of on our gadgets. Lovely recent stay. Could not fault the hotel on anything. Friendly and helpful staff. Good food. Right on the beach yet a quiet location. Only negative was wooden floors (I can understand why they had them being beside the sea shore) made it unpleasant to walk on with bare feet. So bring your slippers for a perfect stay.

We chose to upgrade to a seaview room and we were not disappionted, beautiful views of an excellent deserted beach for miles right on our doorstep and just a short walk to the old town. The staff were so friendly and so helpful too. Very good breakfast and we enjoyed a room service meal on our first night. We did eat out in the evening but had drinks on our return in the lovely bar. We would definitely recommend a stay at this hotel and would certainly be happy to stay here again.

hotel very well maintained . The roof deck is exceptional and we strongly recommend to choose for the half board option as the food at night is of excellent quality.

Great Position

This place is great if you want to relax right on the beach. Staff were very helpful and the breakfast each morning was great. Not sure why breakfast is served downstairs and not overlooking the water. Also would have been better if we had an actual double bed, not two singles pushed together. Regardless, would stay again.
