Accommodations are excellent. Minor details like an in room full length mirror, better lighting or window blinds that opened would be appreciated. It is a quiet, intimate resort. No view of ocean from the property. Beach is a short distance away from resort and is spectacular. The staff is amazing, attentive and very accommodating. This includes everyone from the gardener, to reception, to dining staff, to beach staff

The Sunset was a perfect relaxation spot. Their private beach access and facilities were great. We are not into inclusive stays but this one had all the right ingredients of good food, gracious hosts and excellent rooms to make our time there restorative. Highly recommended!

We loved everything about Sunset at the Palms! It was so beautiful... such a vibe! Stone, dark carved wood, art and gorgeous plants EVERYWHERE. We immediately felt calm and relaxed. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The food and drinks were great. The beach was stunning, and it was so fun hanging at the pool bar. The spa was wonderful as well... great couples massage!

I can not say enough about the staff! Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE was so nice, extremely competent and super helpful.

Shout out to Piano Paul, who made each night so fun and memorable!

If you want pure relaxation this is your place! The grounds are spotless, Lynford does an amazing job!The staff truly goes out of there way to make you feel welcomed! Erica always kept our room spotless and left the cutest towel arrangements! Claudette always serving our breakfast with a smile. Make sure you see Brittany,Kirk,Cash, Gerald,Odine and Shirleen! They are wonderful bartenders and know how to make a drink! Brittany's saying goes, More Rum more Fun ! Tamika was our server for the evening dinner, she is so bubbly, definitely service with a smile.The beach was beautiful and you never have to worry about getting a lounge chair! Bianka and Amanda were extremely helpful at the front desk during our stay! Lynette in the gift shop will remember your name the first time you meet,she is an amazing woman! Will definitely book again.

If you want good service and food don’t go there.
Food was awful.Cleaning lady missed up something everyday.Doesn’t leave coffee cups or bath towels.
Coffee machine was broken.

The service is very nice but very slow.
The lunch menu was missing a lot of dishes.
Instead of a garden salad, we got cabbage with dressing.

Forget about eating ice cream at this resort, even though they have it on the dessert menu.

Rooms are old but nice.Beach is good but pool is great.

We absolutely loved our stay!! My husband had a medical emergency just as we arrived but the staff were absolutely amazing helping us!! The room was amazing and well appointed. We just spent 9 nights at Sunset at the Palms, and it was truly exceptional.

From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcomed, cared for, and completely at ease. Every interaction felt genuine — warm smiles, thoughtful service, and an attention to detail that never felt forced. It’s clear this is a place where people care about what they do, and it shows in every corner of the experience.

The resort itself is beautiful, peaceful, and thoughtfully designed — a perfect balance of relaxed luxury and natural charm. It felt like a real escape: calm, grounding, and restorative in a way that’s hard to find.

What says the most is this: we will absolutely be returning. That’s huge for us, because we’ve never committed to visiting the same place twice before. Sunset at the Palms changed that.

If you’re looking for a place that feels special, personal, and genuinely memorable — this is it. We’re already looking forward to coming back.

This hotel is the perfect pause needed from a busy life. It has private beach access. The staff and services are incredible. Hospitality is taken seriously in this resort. I met a few couples that come back often. The environment is safe, peaceful and near fun areas in Negril. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family any day!

Room was clean. Staff was very nice and pleasant and seemed happy to help in any way. This is a quiet and quaint placed. Don't expect loudness or major night life. It's a place to relax and enjoy the pleasantries of the resort and a beautiful beach. Drinks are what you would expect in Jamaica. Jim beam is bourbon and jack Daniel's whisky. Rum runners were string but good. Would recommend for a couple get away that likes quiet and quaint

We had our wedding here and they did an amazing job! The staff was so friendly and accommodating, shoutout to our wedding planner, Amanda, and our favorite server, Tamika! The beach is only about a 2 minute walk and they have crossing guards that assist you. We will definitely be back.

The resort is absolutely awesome. Its like escaping into a Amazon forest. The staff were incredible. Everything is super clean. The service is fast. Our safe stopped working and guy was there in 5 minutes to fix.
The food was unbelievable, especially the buffet. Most buffet food is like \"fast food\". Not here!! Wish i had the shrimp recipe!!. Choices were extensive. The \"chefs choice\" night dinner was also excellent!!!
I really cannot say enough good things about this hotel. I would recommend it in a heartbeat!! Especially to adults looking for a great place with no kids!!! But it is not a \"high octane\" place. If you are looking for loud music, too many people are non-stop activity all around you, go someplace else.

The resort is absolutely beautiful. Love the jungle feeling and privacy for each treehouse. The beach is a short walk across the street with crossing guards to help stop traffic. Beach is amazing not crowded, clean and friendly beach staff. They make sure you’re not bothered by people selling their goods. We enjoyed shopping on the beach.(shopping was short walk down the beach). Staff around the resort were amazing so friendly and fun. They make a point to make you feel welcomed. Food was good. Our room was beautiful, unfortunately we had shower issues, the first 2 nights water stopped running in the middle of my shower and then our 4th night the shower had no hot water. I will say they took care of it but it was quite frustrating with limited time to get ready for things. I wish the concierge station would have kept us updated on the process of each situation we had to contact them. With that being said I would still definitely go back. I hesitated even mentioning the shower but I feel they need to communicate more keep us updated, we did agree if they had to turn water off a 3 rd day they would leave me a note ahead of time. Beautiful hotel and amazing staff!!

We loved our stay at Sunset at the Palms!! The beach is one of the most amazing I’ve been to - it is across the road so something to consider if you have mobility concerns but we found it was a nice separation and there were crossing guards to help you get there safely. The beach was private, so you could get lunch from the resort and drinks as well.

Rooms were a great size and bed was comfortable - some of the furnishings could use an update (I.e. no smart TVs, bathroom fixtures were a bit dated) but this did not take away from our experience at all.

Many of the other guests we met had been to SATP 5-7x previously, which is a good sign! The food was incredible. Staff were pleasant, kind, and eager to help.

Definitely would recommend SATP if you’re looking for a quieter, relaxing place - not for partiers or people looking for a rowdy vacation.

We had an 11 day stay at Sunset at the Palms from the last week of September into the first week of October. We found staff to be genuinely friendly; not one member of staff failed to greet us as we passed around the resort, and all took the time to help with a smile on their face. So many examples of staff who went above and beyond. The buffet meals were generally good. Breakfast was a mix of standard buffet hot foods and cereals, cold meats, cheese and fruits with a daily Jamaican hot breakfast selection too. Lunch is al la carte on both the resort and beach bar. Food there was good, recommend the burgers, club sandwich and specials (which changed daily). The Chef’s showcase in many ways I felt was the star of the show, but not just because of the food which was always excellent. It was a fixed menu but different each time. What made it stand out for me was that the chef’s preparing each course were in the early stages of their careers and this was their opportunity to showcase their talents and meals. This shows a willingness on the resort’s part to develop and support their staff which reflects so positively on them. The resort grounds are beautiful, well kept but not in a manicured formal way. You have the sense of being in the tropics not a garden. The wildlife is varied – we enjoyed watching hummingbirds feed whilst laying in bed. The resort buildings and facilities are generally well maintained and kept very clean.

My stay at Sunset at the Palms was absolutely amazing from start to finish! The resort itself is a tropical paradise — peaceful, beautifully maintained, and full of that authentic Jamaican charm.

The staff truly made the experience unforgettable. A special shout-out to Lynette in the Gift Shop, who was so kind and helpful every time I stopped by. In the dining room, Jayson, Andrice, and Claudette went above and beyond to make every meal feel special. Their warm smiles, great conversation, and outstanding service made me look forward to every dining experience.

The food was delicious, the atmosphere was relaxed, and the entire team made me feel like family. You can really tell they take pride in what they do.

I can’t recommend Sunset at the Palms enough — it’s the perfect place to unwind, enjoy amazing service, and soak up the beauty of Negril. I’ll definitely be coming back!

And rice in the dining area, Erica, OMG Eric in house keeping was too kind, Easy-Pasy treated me like a king coming home from battle on the beach. I wish I could remember everyone name to give them credit. Cornelius did wonders with a steak that I didn’t know were possible. Again everyone was great. I almost hate writing this review cause I don’t want anyone to know the secrets of this beautiful place. Our Air Canada flight was cancelled <24 hours before our check in at the resort. We immediately contacted Expedia and the resort to cancel our stay, hours before our expected check in time. It took the resort over 2 weeks to respond, despite several attempts at contacting them, and they denied any refund and still charged us 100% for a trip we were not able to go on. We’re extremely disappointed because we wanted to go here in the future and were really looking forward to this vacation, but that will absolutely not be happening anymore because of their abhorrent lack of customer service and empathy.

Excellent Hotel, amazing staff,😍friendly , kind and highly professional the service exceeded my expectations if you ask for anything they will do it immediately it is a real piece of mind your place get reserved with towels as soon as you enter their private secure beach This is one of the best hotel i visited it was my first experience and my daughter in Jamaica.The place is very clean the food is very well presented with a moderate valuable variety and was so delicious the people in the front desk, room service, restaurant and the kitchen are genuinely nice including the best creative chef with his special shows the rooms are made like a cabana in the mid of the forest which give the place a gorgeous atmosphere and if you’re so sweet like us you might attract some ants to chill 😊 i recommend this place for family as well couples don’t forget to go in catamaran and visit the cascades, Riki’s cafe, etc it worth the price you can visit the city and the market place .. Me and my wife have been all over the world but we found this hidden paradise gem and we couldn’t have asked for anything more . The staff are exceptional people and will cater to any needs you have or advice on anything in the area . The facilities are absolutely relaxed and the pool area is very amazing . They also have great entertainment every single night . It’s not a big hotel club scene so don’t expect that but just relaxing and enjoying the amazing food and the chefs showcase was beyond our expectations . The jungle bungalows are so amazing it’s 2 stories up so you feel like your floating on your balcony . Overall is a 10/10 on everything we didn’t encounter one single thing that we didn’t like to be honest . It’s not the place it’s the people and these people are about the best and kindest on this planet . Enjoy .

Overall, I would highly recommend staying here, especially if you are looking to relax.
Staff is very friendly and more than willing to help you if needed.
The room was okay, comfortable enough. Daily restock for bottled water. Take it with you so they’ll restock and you’ll have extra.
The beach is down a little path and across the street, takes less than 5 minutes to get there. It was clean, with chairs/cabanas available. The pool is very nice too, and it has a swim-up bar/live entertainment some nights.
For breakfast and dinner, there’s a buffet and the food there is just okay. For lunch, there’s a restaurant at the resort and one on the beach, which were way better than the buffet in my opinion. You HAVE to go to the Chef’s showcase and the Lotus Leaf. Those dinners were our favorite, and the resort even made reservations for us. They have all-day coffee too.
I would skip their special occasion dining opportunities, wasn’t worth the price I paid. There’s a gift shop, but I found better souvenirs at the airport since we didn’t really shop elsewhere. We spent 5 full days here and didn’t do any excursions, which we were just fine with. It was nice to just “be” for a while and that’s exactly what I got out of this trip. You’ll be spending a lot of time outdoors, so plan accordingly. It’s a peaceful time with not much to do.

Make sure you bring bug spray and put it on every single day, even if you think it’s not working.

Very quiet and beautiful tropical paradise. Loved the pool area and the breakfast buffet was delicious. Beach area is wonderful with tons of activity options, vendors are available but not pushy. Service was mostly great, big shout to Shirlene, Navado, Cash and Travis as particular standouts throughout our stay. Rooms are so nice and beds are super comfy. Would definitely return and suggest to our friends. If you want a smaller all-inclusive with a quieter, more romantic atmosphere, this is the spot.

Sunset at the Palms in Negril, Jamaica, was an absolutely magical experience from start to finish. The moment we arrived, we were enveloped in a sense of peacefulness that made it impossible not to relax and soak in the beautiful surroundings. The serene atmosphere, combined with the stunning sunset views, created moments that felt truly unforgettable.

The food was incredible! Each meal was a delightful journey of authentic Jamaican flavors, fresh ingredients, and creative dishes that left us craving more. But what really set Sunset at the Palms apart was the staff and the people we met during our stay. The team went above and beyond with genuine warmth and hospitality, making us feel right at home. Perfect location for a quiet honeymoon. The staff were very friendly and courteous. Special shoutout to Cash and Navaro for their excellent customer service behind the bar. We did have a few hiccups booking excursions and finding food options for my wife’s dietary restrictions despite communicating our needs well in advance of our stay. Would definitely consider staying here again as long as those concerns were addressed.

I had a great time , actually trying to get back as soon as possible . Food options were great room was fantastic ( had deluxe jr suite platinum ) but my butlers Nissano as well as Dennis were very attentive and accommodating they were the cherry on top of something was already great !

I was there approx. 20yrs ago, the quiet peacefull vibe remains. Staff are very friendly and accomdating. Beach is well kept and seems to be preferred to by nearby resort guests.
The lush tropical backdrop needs more manicuring in my humble opinion. I would certainly return. Thank you Sunset team for a wonderfull stay!

The front hotel staff was absolutely phenomenal, especially compared to nearby hotels that we have stayed at in the past. The rooms are interesting, as most resorts focus now on quantity over quality, and this resort was built long ago with size and comfort in-mind. The only lacking areas for improvement are the lunch dining options (and flavors), with speed being a major issue. The resort would also benefit by removing the live piano, live band, and replace them with modern music and a DJ. The constant Jamaican music (and dancehall-reggae) blasted by the pool area bartenders was painful after a full week. We had to leave the resort just to go dancing.

We loved it! The place is perfect to relax, and enjoy Jamaica in a peaceful environment. The beach is super clean and very clear, we got to see tons of starfish. Also next to the are of the beach, there’s tons of stores were you can shop for souvenirs. The area on the beach includes its own restaurant and bar. The food was delicious, specially the restaurants. I recommend this hotel a lot.

This ismy faorite place to stay in the Caribbean now. The property is breathtaking, the staff is STELLAR, the beach it stunning, the food is good and the drinks flow freely. I literally cried when we left. This was the most relaxing, beautiful vacation ever. And oh so romantic!

Loved our stay here! Visited in July and was not very busy. Nice relaxing place. I wish there was more food option. Our couple massage was nice too. Private drivers available we never had an issue finding someone to take us around. All good people highly recommend and cant wait to come back.

This property is gorgeous! It’s like living in a prehistoric jungle paradise. The staff are some of the friendliest I have ever encountered. Everyone was kind and laid back and the service is excellent. Breakfast and lunch are really good. Dinner wasn’t bad. The special dinner options were good. The dinner buffet wasn’t our favorite, but we were there when the hotel was not at all crowded and I think maybe there will be more options for dishes when it is a little busier. We were never hungry, though and we will be back!

We loved it. Weve visited many carribean islands. This was our first visit to Jamaica and SATP. I was apprehensive at first! Turns out- it was our favorite vacation ever.

The staff were wonderful. I cant say enough about them. Genuine. Happy. Kind. Generous. I felt safe at all times. I felt taken care of. I fell in love with many of the staff there.

The food was good. Ive been to places with bad food. Their food was prepared fine! I would do the chefs presentation more if i could've. It was a delight and so was he!

The tree houses smell nice, they are a tad dated but I live in an area with historic houses and it reminded me a lot of those. They've been well maintained. The bed was a tad hard on my back but thats not their fault. Next time ill take an extra pillow.

The cleanliness- I own a cleaning company at home- i didnt think the resort was dirty at all. I constantly saw staff cleaning. Restrooms, floors, rooms, even the beach was cleaned.

You cant beat the price either.

My husband and I will be back. It was our favorite vacation.

To all the staff at this resort- thank you! We adore you all! We cant wait to return!

On my last day on of the girls that was serving the breakfast came over and said she was thinking about me and when I would go back home .
This was on Tuesday and I said today .
She was so so king she said she bough somenthing for you .
She gave me a Key chain that she bough special for me and it make my heard happy and I cried .
