Las habitaciones impecables, el personal de la recepción increíblemente amables, al igual que el personal del desayuno excepto la señorita que recibe a los huéspedes en el desayuno la cual fue pedante. El desayuno muy variado. El hotel es muy tranquilo sin ruido. Durante mi estancia no habían niños, las vistas muy hermosas de la playa. El área de la piscina es linda pero le faltan algunas cerámicas a la misma, deberían considerar la restauración. Volvería a quedarme aquí

Nice hotel in La Guaira. We had ocean view, but there is no direct access to the beach. The rooms are nice, very comfortable. The food was good as well. Just 20 minutes from Caracas.

The restaurant prices are extortionate but I think it’s a feature of Venezuela hotels. If there’s anything you can do for your bookings that would be a huge benefit to your customers and in the long term the hotel would benefit from more business

Beautiful hotel, trouble with shuttle

Gorgeous place, big room, good bed, nice breakfast. Very disappointing shuttle service from the airport. Upon arriving at CCS I called the hotel for the shuttle, and was told that it wasn't included with my room. They said I needed to pay $25 USD. I was forced to take a taxi, but it was next-to-impossible to find cash. It cost 60,000 Bolivares and should normally only cost 5,000. (It's only about 7 minutes!) When I finally got to the hotel I showed them the reservation where it specifically says that the shuttle is included. They agreed to take me to the airport the next day, but then I was told I could only be transported at 11:00, 12:00, or 13:00.
The area is dangerous. There is a nice bakery about a block away but only go there during the day. Don't carry any valuables with you.

The Hotel is not clear with the offers, they include or not the breakfast any time they want. I have to wait every morning for them to decide if they want to include my breakfast or not. I think they play with that to extra charges $$$ crazy. They need to learn more about hospitality.

It is a really nice hotel, excellent views of the beach (even from some rooms), the only thing is that there's only one restaurant so is the same menu all day. The down side while I was staying, at the moment of checkout there was only one person on the reception so we had to wait to be attended, the person was really nice and polite during the checkout, however, if someone is in a hurry they will need to wait up to 20min. Otherwise the staying was excellent!

Nice but not to normal Marriott standards

Comparing with other Marriott hotels internationally however I would only give it 4 stars. The conditions in Venezuela are not good. The hotel localtion from a security point of view as good. Hotel staff were as helpful as they could be. Remember not all staff will speak or understand English however they have one person at the front desk who understands and speaks english very well.Do bare in mind if visiting Venezuela you cannot use dollars in the hotels for food or anything. The same generally applies in restaurants. The rates asked are high compare with hotels in Caracas itself. It is used by European airlines as is close to the airport and safe. Very few overseas people staying there as not many travel these days to Venezuela. The pool is very nice and the sea view is execelent.

Quality and price don´t go together in this hotel. Very high price and it doesn´t include anything else but the room. Everything else you have to pay separate: , BREAKFAST, WI FI CONECTION AND THE SHUTTLE BUS THEY HAVE TO THE AIRPORT DOESN´T RUN ALL DAY.. I paid $$$$ and I just got my room, that was it..The Lobby area do not have a single sofa or chairs to seat on for the guests to , for instance, to wait for someone to come, to wait for the check in or out to be given or simply to read the newspaper. I am an architect and I see more than normal people do.. but in any case I will not recomend this hotel....they have to review their features and prices. The staff by the main door were nice and kind...and the waiter in the restaurant was very nice too. I have stayed at the Eurobuilding hotel in Maiquetia,and it is cheaper, has everything included in the price : Breakfast, Wi Fi, shuttle bus every half hour and the rooms are cleaner, bigger and well distributed

Safer and closer stay than Caracas.

Beautiful view, good food, friendly and helpful staff. The swimming pool is falling apart though. It was dirty and slimmey at the bottom and it had large chunks of tiles missing everywhere. They should really consider updating it, it's a very old style pool, with the old metal ladders to get in and out. The view from the pool to the ocean is amazing, this is really the place to hang out at this hotel. Should be renovated. Loved hanging out at the bar and watching the Vinotinto game with other Venezuelans while sipping at delicious mojitos and eating Tequeños!! Priceless!!

Our stay was really appalling we had to ask for coffe making facility as none in room .The electricity was of from 11am to 3 pm
Hardly anyone spoke English ,there was onlynuscandv1 other couple in restuarant and Ourbmeal,took over an hour to serve and it took 3 members of staff to understand what we wanted,I asked for chips with me ne and got half a plate of mashed potato!!

Venezuela is like \"A Tale of Two Cities\"... this hotel sits among the grandeur of the richness of good and plenty, high atop a hill overlooking a marina stocked with posh yachts...yet only a stone's throw is a vast shantytown where a foreigner dare not walk into the hills where countless people exist, existing on less than a few dollars a day. The hotel is a gem with a pool that overlooks the Caribbean, an excellent restaurant, and a staff that are friendly and helpful. It is also helpful if you have a command of Spanish, as almost no one speaks English.

Convenient as it is close to the airport

The hotel is close to the airport that is important when you have an early flight because happens that there are road blocks all the time by the people that can make you commute to the airport pretty stressful. Nice people and very helpful. Great view of the ocean.

Rooms are nice and beds so comfortable.

my one day stay

We came at 12:00pm at the marriott. The lady there tell us the room is normally available only at the check in at 3:00pm but we could go at the pool until the room come free to take. 10 minutes later she came to us to tell, she found one available and we could get in. It was really great since we were tired. The service is really excellent and the staff speak also english.We gave a 10/10 feedback because everything from the room to the restautant was excellent and really clean.

Great hotel if you need to be close at the airport

I had to overnight in Caracas to catch a plane in the morning.
The hotel is conveniently close to the airport (about 10-15 min), avoiding the possible traffic problems you can encounter to downtown.
Could not make use of much of the facilities there, but they seemed to be great. Restaurant and service were very good. Rooms and bathrooms spacious and impeccable, and the room wifi was free of charge.

Hotel is excellent, location not so much. Twenty minutes from airport through suspect neighborhoods. No restaurant facilities after 10 pm. No ATM machine. Room service lacking in selection. The room was very clean, very comfortable, very quiet.

Great hotel, poor value for money

Very nice hotel, convient location to the airport (however expect an expense taxi ride BsF200 for 5 minutes).

However @ USD400 per night you'll get much better value in Caracas. Impossible for me to recommend given the poor value for money, but it is a beautiful hotel.

Used by many flight crews (if that's your thing).

This Hotel is in my opinion the nicest one around the airport. similar price like Eurobuilding, little bit more far away from the aiprort (approx 15min), but much better than eurobuilding.

The disadvantage is, that there is no regular shuttle to the hotel. You have to call the hotel and then you will be pikced up by the shuttle - takes some time...

Very nice place, clean, safe, great staff, very helpful, room was very nice, forgot iPad in room when I checked out. Called from airport, they found it, took shuttle bus back, got iPad, then shuttle got me back to the airport in time to catch my flight. Venezuelan people were very nice. Being an American this was not what I expected. Don't believe war you hear, I never felt unsafe. The venezuelans always treated me well, with respect and were more then helpful. The store near the hotel took my US dollars for snakes and water, the tourism center at the airport called the hotel for me and spoke some English. The customs and immigration people were very nice, fast, no problems. It was a good trip. And the spa, gym was great. I had a terrific message.

Hotel Marriott near airport in Maiquetia - Venezuela

The sorroundings were not the best before you approach the hotel. However, once we'd got there it was very nice. The people are excellent...If you were thinking to stay like in the Eurobuilding which is also near the airport, please forget about it. The people there are nasty. These two hotels are very expensive, but I would rather stay in the Marriott if I have to overnite due to the next flight. The massages were too soft but very inexpensive.

Overrated!

The view from the hotel is great, however, you are warned by hotel staff that it is dangerous for you to walk to the beach or anywhere too far from the hotel.My biggest shock occurred when checking out. The front desk receptionist billed me for the days I already paid for[...] in other words, they wanted me to pay twice for the same stay. I spent about 20 mins trying to explain to Maria that my bill should only contain charges relating to phone calls, internet, breakfast and dinner. However, she insisted that their system indicated that no previous payment was made. It should be noted that there was no manager available (6:50am) to assist this young lady who seemed quite new to the hotel business. I eventually had to call my credit card company to confirm that cahrges were deducted for the required amount and was eventually allowed to leave (barely made my flight). My advice is to avoid visiting this hotel, however, if you feel so inclined, please ensure before your arrival at the hotel that your booking has been received and paid for. Also, walk with as much cash as possible because taxis and other items are expensive, there are no ATMs in the hotel and the ATMs in the area do not accept foreign VISA cards for cash transactions. It keeps requesting either the first 2 or last 3 digits of your ID card.

First they were still under construction. Lots of noise. Second they took us to a room that had already been sold in the middle of the night so it took us over two hour to get into our room.
The food was so bad eventhough they charged arms and legs.
Overall I would not stay there nor would I refer anyone. Not to make th ematter worse it took me over four hours to settle our bills which we already had paid through orbitz, they still wnated to charge us again and it took us for hours and calling US to talk to orbitz before we could get out of there.
