I did not even stay there. When I got there, the check in staff did not know what he was doing. The front of the hotel was right on the street and looked like a whole in wall. I left and went to a much better hotel. Photos on their website are not at all true.

Good value for money fairly close to Market.

Excellent value for money. Comfortable and fairly spacious. very clean hotel.Metro just out the front. Staff were friendly and helpful and general feel and experience was nice.Room was a nice size, cool and well equipped '. Lovely shower and sofa to sit on to watch TV.

Go for it. But do not take a TucTuc there.

In opposite to the detailed room description the AC did not work. The bathroom was a joke, rusty and dirty. But the rest of the room was beautiful
Only a small window though to let air in. Very humid and hot. Contruction noise from 7:00 in the morning, 4 th floor without elevator. But worth the money after all. Friendly but very sceptic personal.

Suggestion with love and sense

Hi there, I've been staying in Anoop on and off for the past 25 years. Indian standards has risen a lot in that time but not Anoop. Ok, you fixed the rooms, but what about the rest including the restaurant? Its a bit of a mess. Give it a proper shine too without raising roomrates. They are a bit over the egde, compared to sorroundig hotels. Do it and hotel and restaurant will be full again like in the older days. Much love, Jannik

Very bad behaviour...NIGHTMARE esp if u r a couple

I went as a couple:-
1. If they see u have a girl companion they try to harras u by pointing out faults in his/her ID and pushing you by saying that they can't give the same room as problem in ID.You have to take 2 seperate room.
2. I booked hotel through expedia and when reached there, we were treated very badly by pointing out various comments that \"Why booked through expedia?You should have booked directly with us? If you have booked directly with us there would have been no such problem\".
3. When i booked the hotel online I made an advance payment. But when I reached the hotel they asked for the same amount to be paid at the reception. When I pointed out that I already made an advance payment to expedia they started behaving badly and said i don't care what expedia said if you want to stay you have to pay this amount to us.
4. When i agreed upon to pay the amount I asked them to pay via credit card, but their credit card machine was not working and they were forcing us to pay by cash, as their would be no written record that you paid extra bucks to them(as if you pay via credit card the statement appears on your bank account).
5. After so much trouble i was at the peak of my anger, i tore my reservation confirmation in pieces and went to a different hotel.

Please don't ever come to this hotel... everything is 5-star in pathetic

The hotel was an overall disaster

You can see the moment you enter the front that you are going to have a terrible stay. The entrance is dirty with dusty computers and very dark hallway. The room was not clean, the plumbing is horrible with leaking pipes. I didn't even brush my teeth because of the condition of the wash basin. There was no toilet paper in the toilet, after asking one untidy character who is an employee for some time i eventually had to go and buy one. On the second day of my stay i was moved to another room with a broken door lock....i can go on forever about this hotel, the roof top restaurant is a disaster where I couldn't even finish a bottle of 350ml Pepsi because of how dirty it is

Just ok If you want 4 stars pay for a 4 star

First I will say I left a camera behind which they found and held for me. However saying the American Express office was closed at 1400 hrs but they could do the currency exchange seemed typical for the area. Didn't care much for the door lock. Underside of bed not cleaned. Air conditioner fan seemed to work 1st day, can't be sure 'cause I booked and stayed another hotel didn't work last day not last. Definitely not handicap friendly. Definitely no attractive view from roof from any side

Not worth it

Hotel is in old Delhi near bazar where you can get anything. metro station nearby fresh fruit and all other convince nearby. The standard of hotel was poor dirty bathrooms hot water won't work and reception staff unhelpful. only good thing was rooftop restaurant where you get hot food and friendly staff. tour office was friendly but expensive. so be warned.

Don't stay here.

Been backpacking for 6 months through SE Asia/India, this is the worst place yet. Our previous review was rejected because I guess it spoke too much truth, so here's the gist. Room wasn't clean when we arrived, shower wasn't working in first room and bathroom was disgusting, second room AC wasn't working, TV stop working, room service was wrong and over charged, WiFi only worked in the lobby, staff was nice but made no effort to make things right. Location is close to the train station, so I would only stay here if you had a connecting train the next day, otherwise nothing around it.

Shocking-very old badly run down

Very dirty, old run down hotel, rooms smelly, air conditioner very dirty, not working at all, Ceiling paint peeling off and falling on your face. First night no water at all what so ever. Next day after much complaint, only trickles - told to collect water in a rusty paint can and given a very dirty torn old jug for bath. Reception staff rough rude and Aggressive. No towel, soap or toilet paper - told it was not the hotels responsibility. Only intermittent power supply. Full of mosquitoes. Very steep stairs, no landing. Roof top furniture very old and dirty and the structure collapsed with a spell of wind, nearly injured an Jewish couple. In the restaurants order one item they give something else and demand you to pay for them. Worst accommodation ever anywhere in my life. Far better, very clean accommodation with 24 hour air-con, electricity at much cheaper rates in the same street and within minutes of walking to Central Rail and metro stations. Keep well away from this

not what we expected but was only £9.00 a night.

Hell on earth on arriving in delhi after 24 hours travel. dark room, and not that clean dirty sheets and blanket but changed on request, only window opened to concrete wall 2 inches out side window so pretty dark and dissmal start to holiday.
booked to bus to Rishikesh through hotel was ment to be sleeper ac tourist bus with taxi to pick up.
turned out to be private no ac bus and was walked 2 miles through busy delhi streets to get to bus stop.

Awesomely worst hotel

I booked through Expedia and arrived at the hotel on 20.11.2013 morning at 08.00hrs. The room allotted was 402 at the fourth floor. No hassle, but no lift facility was available; tolerable though. But the following serious defects were there.

1. The bed linen was not changed. It was having stains and smelled bad. I used my own bed.
2. There were no pillow covers and the pillows smelled saliva.
3. No hot water service. In the biting winter chillness, I had to bath in cold water.
4. TV was there but not working.
5. Telephone was there, but not working
6. The inside door latch was not proper
7. No room service was possible, as there was no facility to call any room service
8. In a nutshell, I had bitter experience at Anoop stay

The stay at Anoop is not bad at all, my only issue is the lack of warm water which was not working in my room. The location is tremendous especially the closeness to Metro which enables one to get around Delhi relatively easily. The New Delhi station is also in walking distance which is great.

Geld wurde trotzdem eingezogen. Hotel.com hat keine Emailadresse sondern nur eine kostenpflichte Hotline. Sehr ägerlich das ganze!

Nicht schlecht, aber mit Maengeln

Eigentlich nicht schlecht, wenn es nicht so schmutzige Bettwaesche gehabt haette und generell schmutzig gewesen waere.
Ausserdem was die versprochene Klimaanlage ein Ventilator. Wir haben und nachts klatsch nass geschwizt und bekamen im Anschluss eine Erkaeltung.
Das Personal war sehr nett vorallem die Bedienung auf dem Dachrestaurant.

Det fungerade inte med bokning via hotels.com enligt Hotel Anoop vilket ledde till att jag fick betala 1 av rummen ytterligare en gång då jag kom till hotellet. Hotell Anoop hade bara fått en bekräftelse på 1 rum, ej två. Suck. Hotellet var ok för det priset, det ursprungliga.

Viaje de pareja con bajo presupuesto

El hotel está dentro de todo bien ubicado cerca de la estación de tren de New Delhi sobre una calle ruidosa pero con opciones baratas para comer y comprar. Las habitaciones eran muy muy sucias, mucha humedad y poca luz. Lo único positivo fue la tv y que el agua salía caliente.

Hotellpersonalen var väl ok men nyfikna i receptionen. Väldigt smutsigt men med avseende på priset så kan man inte ha för högt ställda krav. Med \"lite\" städning skulle det vara helt OK.

Bei dem Preis kann man nicht meckern!

Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis war stimmig. Das Zimmer und die Bettwäsche nicht neu aber sauber. Man war sehr bestrebt, mir mit Tipps zur Seite zu stehen. Das Hotel einschließlich des Restaurants und der Serviceeinrichtungen (Internet) sind rund um die Uhr geöffnet. Die Lage ist zentral in der Nähe des Bahnhofs und des Zentrums in einer Einkaufsstraße. Trotzdem war es in der Nacht nicht laut. Ich hatte ein Zimmer mit Flachbildschirm, Telefon, Ventilator und Klimaanlage. Das Wasser im Bad war heiß.

Un poil cher pour ce que c'est. C'était très très humide, je ne suis pas hyper sure de la propreté des draps, et la salle de bain était définitivement crade. De plus, l'eau chaude ne marchait pas ; on l'a signalé plusieurs fois à la réception, à chaque fois ils envoient un mec dans la chambre vérifier que le chauffe-eau est allumé, nous montrer la petite lumière le prouvant, dodeliner de la tête et nous dire que tout est ok. Mais c'est pas parce qu'un chauffe eau fait de la lumière qu'il fait du chaud. Le chai servi est très cher et pas top. Tout n'est pas négatif : c'est bien situé, les chambres étaient surement très bien quand toutes neuves (vrai effort de déco et de confort), et on n'a pas été embêté par le bruit de Paharganj.

Ett av de renare hotellen vi bodde på under vår vistelse i Indien (iofs är det ganska tillintetsägande). Badrumet var ganska fräsch men möblerna var skitiga och lakanen fläckiga. Det var grova mögelskador i taket, så delar av takputsen brukade trilla ner över handfatet och i duschen, sedan gick det inte att få duschvattnet mer än fisljummet. När vi pratade med ägaren kom han alltid med någon ursäkt i stil med att de reparerade ledningarna eller att de brukade stänga av varmvattnet under natten. De har en ganska trevlig (dyr) takrestaurang men beställ inget annat än den indiska maten på menyn. Majoriteten av de andra gästerna är där på en \"spirituell resa\" och brukar sitta på taket och trippa under kvällarna. Dock är läget super, nära tunnelbanan! Så du kan ta dig runt själv. Samt hyfsat nära en av stadens tågstationer. Boka inte resor av resebyrån längst ner, de är sinnessjukt otrevliga och de finns andra resebyråer längs med gatan som tar ett billigare pris för samma resa till t.ex taj mahal. Hotellpersonalen är ganska sneaky, en av dem lämnade inte vårat rum innan ham blev dricksad för att han hade kommit med rena (och fuktiga handdukar), han tvingade sig även in i vårt rum vid ett tillfälle och vandrade omkring, klämde på sakerna vi hade köpt och frågade hur mycket de hade kostat.

Замечательная торговая улочка, наивные в своей простоте индийские мужчины, писающие возле стены напротив отеля. Разнообразные магазинчики, в которых хочется торговаться до тех пор, пока не получишь 70% скидку. Внимательный персонал, но при этом желательно иметь личный замок на свою дверь. Относительно чисто, большие кровати, большие балконы с видом на Main Bazaar. Ресторанчик.

если хотите быть ближе к простому народу

Если хотите быть ближе к простому народу, это место - самое то. Вся простота и непосредственность индийского народа во всей красе. Писающие мужчины под окном. Почти полное отсутствие женщин. Обслуживающий персонал - тоже мужчины. Тут же торговцы, груши, многочисленные лавочки. Но это радует и никак не возмущает :)
