We have stayed in Gustrow many times over the years and usually choose another hotel, just out of the centre. This is a small hotel with small rooms. The Reception staff was very good and very friendly. The room was very small and the bathroom was even smaller. The bed was very hard, but the mattress was of good quality. The breakfast was not great. Limited hot food and not replenished very often. Personally, I would choose another hotel as this one did not offer the same quality of room or breakfast as the other one we stay in. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. It is just sad its let down by the room and breakfast.

Gutes Hotel mitten in der malerischen Altstadt
Bei meiner Ankunft gegen Mittag schien das Empfangspersonal sichtlich irritiert und machte den Eindruck, es fühle sich gestört. Kurz und knapp würde ich unter Verweis auf die Check-in-Zeit 15:00 Uhr wieder weggeschickt. Nach diesen Anlaufschwierigkeiten war aber alles bestens, die Lage des Hotels ist ausgezeichnet, das Zimmer war sehr in Ordnung, das Frühstück reichhaltig... ich komme dann wohl doch wieder. :-)

The hotel is but a short walk from the altstadt. It is nice and clean. However it claims to be a 3 stars superior hotel. To get this, the hotel should obtain the number of points for service, rooms etc. necessary for a 4 star hotel but not comply with all demands specifically demanded for a four star hotel.
It was not possible to see how this hotel garni could have obtained points enough for 4* . There was no free toilet gear, no ac, no fridge or minibar. The reception closed at 8 o'clock. The room was average. This is a base 3* hotel, overpriced to the level of a high end four stars hotels.

Ein solides Hotel in der Altstadt von Güstrow. Ich habe bereits zum zweiten Mal im Ringhotel Altstadt übernachtet und werde es beim nächsten Anlass wieder tun. Empfang, Frühstück, Zimmer und Sauberkeit waren so, wie ich es erwartet habe: gut. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist angemessen. Abends noch in der Bar im Keller zusammen mit anderen Gästen einen Absacker getrunken - das war sehr angenehm und unterhaltsam. Weiter so!Saunabereich über dem Hof (also über den Außenbereich gehen) - war zwar nicht der absolute Hit - aber deutlich besser als nichts.

Gut und günstig, im Herzen Güstrows.
Ich war geschäftlich in Güstrow und habe ich für das Hotel entschieden. Die Wahl war genau richtig. Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral und verfügt über einen kostenlosen Parkplatz. Die Innenstadt ist in wenigen Minuten erreicht und direkt gegenüber ist ein nettes Pub, in dem man sich den Abend versüssen kann. Auch der Bahnhof ist in ca. 10 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar.
Mein Zimmer war sauber, das Bett war bequem, was will man mehr.
Das Frühstücksbuffet war ausreichend, und es ist für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei.
In meinem Zimmer könnten die Silikondichtungen mal eine Erneuerung vertragen und die Duscharmatur war etwas schwergängig. Nichtsdestotrotz empfand ich den Aufenthalt sehr positiv und würde mich jederzeit wieder für das Hotel entscheiden, wenn ich nach Güstrow komme.

En övernattning i Güstrow. Inte vad vi önskade men var sent ute med bokningen så det mesta var fullbokat. Knappast varken hotell eller stad att återvända till. Hela staden uppgrävd (kändes det) så det var stora problem att ta sig till hotellet med bil.

Vi anlände till hotellet efter att receptionen stängt, vilket inte framgick i bokningen. Det fanns ett telefonnummer på ett anslag men där pratade någon endast tyska vilket gjorde det svårt att förstå vad man skulle göra. Min man gick runt hotellet och hittade en dörr som stod på glänt och hittade nå en i personalen som gav oss nyckeln till rummet. Enligt honom skulle vi lämnat telefonnumret på telefonsvararen och sen skulle de ha ringt upp oss. Glad att det ordande sig trots allt.
