A very loud fire alarm went off at 4am and went on for quite a while. I was already running on the stairs when it stopped. Goodbye sleep. The following morning I was expecting some apologies but no. When I mentioned it, the guy at the reception very cheerfully said \"Oh, that. Yes, there was no fire, it was just a coffee machine. But so we know that the alarm works!\" Which is Mecklenburg-Vorpommern idea of sense of humour, maybe.

Standard hotel. Unfortunately it was fully booked and can't offer enough seats at the restaurant. Guest have to search for another place to eat outside of hotel. The rest is ok.

The hotel served us very well as a base for exploring the town and the visiting the Schloss. We did not find many restaurants in town - but found the hotel restaurant to be quite good and reasonably priced.

Nice hotel directly across the castle
The hotel is located in walking distance from the old town and directly across the castle. The hotel staff is friendly, also explaining where to find what in the neighborhood. The breakfast is really good with fresh fruit, salmon, other fish and also sweet things. It was a nice stay and we would come back.

Little hard to get to, my GPS did not recognize the address. Use one of the cross streets. Many streets near the town square are closed off also, so took a while to find it. The bed was a typical tiny German single, but if you like an elegant older hotel with 12' ceilings, this is your place. Internet is 3 euro. The breakfast was good. I was enroute to Griefswald, and the hotel is quite far out of the way, but a lovely place in a lovely, historic town.

Overall a very nice place to stay. In my case, I was in the need of a place to sleep for the night, when driving through Europe from Rostock. The only thing I found bad, was the sound isolation of the room: I was unable to sleep without my ear plugs. I tried sleeping without, but woke up 3 times between 11pm and 0300am. Either it was because of dog barking, or noise from rooms in the vicinity. I don't know if I was unlucky, and that if this was a particular bad night, but I was bothered by too much noise coming from outside the room. If I didn't carry ear plugs, I would not been able to sleep well. That said, everything else was very nice. Laid back, clean, and very cosy and homey. I would recommend this place to my friends, but tell them to pack ear plugs, just in case.

The hotel is conveniently located on the edge of the town centre in easy walking distance to the sights, shops and bars. The rooms are simply furnished and are a little dated but comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good.

We have stayed here several times. We use it as an overnight stop in the middle of our driving trips between Stockholm and Prague. The rooms are extremely spacious and comfortable. Helps to know a little german as the staff does not always speak english.

Ich hatte einen kurzen Aufenthalt von 2 Tage.Der Service in Hotel ist ausgezeichnet. Das gesamte Personal war stets freundlich, zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Egal ob Rezeption, im Restaurant.Alle Mitarbeiter sind kompetent und haben ein offenes Ohr für die Anliegen der Gäste. Die sauberkeit ist hervorragend. Sowohl das Zimmer als auch die öffentlichen Bereiche waren sehr sauber. Das Hotel ist definitiv eine Empfehlung wert und ich werde gerne wieder bei Ihnen übernachten. Vi stannade en natt för vidare färd söderut. Bra hotell ligger i ett lugnt och lummigt område bra parkering vid hotellet. Ligger bredvid ett äldre slott som dock är under renovering, men mycket fina små gränder med korsvirkes hus mm vi var där en söndagskväll så inte mycket var öppet. Men perfekt för att bara ta en övernattning.

Fint hotell, rymligt rum med en superfin balkong /veranda med utsikt över trädgård och Elbe. Maten var bra men de serverade endast några av de rätterna som fanns på menyn. Jättefin frukost. Restaurangen var supermysig miljö med en liten uteservering med. Mycket vänlig och trevlig personal.

Lage Top / Hotel mit Luft nach oben
Die Lage vom Hotel ist super und der Check in verlief zügig aber unpersönlich. Parkplätze sind ausreichend vorhanden. Das Zimmer war sauber roch aber sehr stark nach Reinigungsmitteln/Desinfektionsmittel wie im Krankenhaus. Auch ein großzügiges Lüften hat keine Besserung gebracht. Mehr wie eine Nacht, hätte ich in dem Zimmer nicht bleiben wollen. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung, aber mit Luft nach oben (Rührei war eine Eierstichmasse, Brötchen sehen nach TK aus, Lachs wäre schön gewesen), feste Frühstückszeiten kenne ich so sonst auch nirgends.

Das Hotel ist sehr sauber. Parkplatz ist vor den Haus. Beim einschecken, sehr freundlich auch zu Kinder die bißchen lauter waren. Das Frühstück ist lecker und ausreichend. Man erreicht sehr schnell die Altstadt. Dom, Kirche zu Fuß. Zu Empfehlen ist die Wunderbar und der Wildpark. Dafür bitte den ganzen Tag Zeit nehmen.

Service gut, aber Zimmer renovierungsbedürftig
Die neuen Gebäudeteile - Rezeption und Restaurant - sind gut, das Personal passt auch. Ich kann nicht beurteilen, ob ich nur ein schlechtes Zimmer erwischt habe, aber andere kann ich nicht werten: Spinnweben an der Decke, die Wände dreckig, der Boden hat schon bessere Zeiten gesehen, Miniwaschbecken, Vollplastikeinrichtunsgegenstände im Bad bis hin zum Klorollenhalter. Die Krönung war aber, dass die Isolierung zum Nebenzimmer (abgeschlossene Verbindungstür dazwischen) gleich null war. Ich hab alle ihre Gespräche und ihr Naseputzen mit anhören müssen, sie wenn sie Pech hat mein Schnarchen... ich reise nicht wenig, aber in einem solchen Zimmer hab ich glücklicherweise schon lange nicht mehr übernachtet!
