The pool is still out of order which s disappointing since it’s a really nice pool. The staff should tell the people checking in that the pool is out of order and it should be made known when making reservations.
The hot tub was great. Beds are comfy, it’s quiet for sleeping. Even though the location is on a busy road, it’s surprisingly quiet.
Check in and out is quick and easy.

Tried to stay local to save money and travel time, but none of that happened here. The pool and spa was closed even though they offered it online and on the sign directly outside the building. Our toilet didnt work in our first room. So we were offerd the key to the room next door to use the bathroom. Just to find saw dust and hair in that bathroom. We have stayed here in the past and had great experience. But not this time. Things sure have changed at the super 8 for the worse within 1 year.

The pool room is cool in temperature but the hot tub is hot and the pool water temperature is pleasant. Both are clean and I thoroughly enjoyed both. The place is great for a business overnight stay. Breakfast is good, but get there very early because supply gets low. The bed was comfortable and it was quiet for sleeping.

The pool and hot tub were closed, which was the reason we choose this location. The room we were given was clearly very heavily used. The bathtub had a wide crack in it that water sprayed down into and the drain was plugged. There was blood on the mattress cover that was exposed because the sheets weren't tucked. The couch in the room was disgusting and broken down and we dared not touch it. We asked to change rooms, and the new room was below a family with small children that ran and jumped around until midnight both nights. The place was almost empty, so why we had to be directly below a family is beyond me. The couch was just as disgusting as the first with obvious stains on it and broken down. The upside was the mattress in the new room was very comfortable. However, I would never stay here again.

The pool and hot tub were out of order. The table and chairs in our room were very rickety and about broken. And our hotel room (and only our hotel room in the whole building) lost power during the night. We were there for the night for work the next day and couldn’t even take showers in the morning and had to use our phone flashlights to use the bathroom. Asked for a refund for our room and and was told had to contact Expedia. Very frustrated.

I booked this trip for my parents and they stayed here 2 different days due to travel. Upon arrival the room they were booked in it smelled like someone had sprayed something through the room and it was really hard to breathe. So they asked to be moved to a different room which was fine. Then when inspecting the pool there was sand in the pool and the pool vacuum was sitting in the bottom of the pool/ The hot tub was broken, and the breakfast was very lack lustre. On the way back they went to the hotel area for breakfast and had very bitter coffee, and the breakfast was a pre packaged egg and bacon sandwich. When my mom asked the lady at the front desk if there was any ketchup she very loudly sighed as if it was annoying to help. Then when they went to heat it in the microwave, it was dirty so she asked if it could be cleaned...to which the lady working seemed annoyed again. Do not recommend this place at all. So disappointing!

Desk staff was great, did not interact with other staff. Pool area was ok, about as expected for a budget hotel but I've seen better. Continental Breakfest was sad. Didnt bother our second morning. May as well not have one.

The room (131) was ok. It was clean, housekeeping did a good job prepping it. The bed was comfortable. The couch sagged in the middle but was otherwise ok if old. Other furnishings were in good repair. The thermostat on the AC unit didnt work right. Had it set to 70, came back to a refrigerator. The TV while having 3 HDMI ports and being a roku TV was bound to the cable box on HDMI 2 with no way to change it. Ended up unplugging the cable box to plug in my laptop. The bathroom was small. Hit my head several times on the shower curtain rod which is mounted two low. The vanity is to small, plan on storing your gear under it not on it. Finally the water tasted funny and got worse when chilled.

Overall had a good stay but we where out of the hotel most of the time. If we had used it as a stay in vacation spot, I would have been disappointed.

The night manager was awesome and apologized when housekeeping did not come to our room. He offered a clean set of towels on the spot. He wrote down our room number to address this with staff. However, this didn't do any good. In the 3 nights we were there housekeeping did not enter our room to change towels or empty trash at all.

We were a group of 9 that travel through Escanaba every couple years. We will never stay here in the future. This place is run down and way understaffed! The staff that was there was working very hard but there is only so much they can do. Wyndham should be ashamed of putting their name on this property! The place screams of neglect! The water in the spa was dark and dirty! Mattress was sagging in the middle. Towels were clean but the holder for them was falling off the wall as well as the hand soap holder next to the sink! The picnic table outside for guests to sit at was broken and missing an entire bench on one side. Nothing but metal bars and screws sticking out. It should be disposed of before someone gets injured!

I checked in online and I should have just gotten my key at the desk. When I went to get my key the guy at the desk was new, the computer wasn't working so he tried to charge me twice. For him being as new as he was there should have been someone there with him. The ac was coming off the wall. The water pressure was minimal. When I ordered doordash the lady was told there was only 234 rooms, i was in 250. The road sign wasnt lit up so i circled the block twice before i found the right driveway.

Breakfast and pool area were great and the staff we encountered were incredibly kind and helpful - both front desk & in the breakfast area. Beds were comfortable enough but the room itself was sketchy. Hotel was replacing shingles during stay but we were in furthest wing so were not disturbed by any noise. Cheapest place in the area & you could tell, but the staff made up for any shortcomings.

I would not recommend this hotel unless you just need a bed to sleep in but bring your own clean bedding!

Hotel itself is dirty, smelly, outdated, many areas were broken, the parking lot flooded during rain, the hot tub was so dirty, the sauna barley fits two people, our room smelt very bad like mildew, the door frame was broken, the bed looked dirty - we slept on top of blankets we brought with us! The door to the back of the hotel has no locks anyone of the street can walk in and walk the hotel. Also the AC/Heat was AWFUL.

Breakfast was the worst hotel breakfast EVER & I’ve stayed at over 200 hotels in multiple states. They had a waffle maker which was the only good part. No “hot” food besides you could warm up your own breakfast sandwich from a store bought package. All around was just not good!

Very sad and disappointing stay no worth the money - look for ANYWHERE else!

We liked the soap and shampoo dispensers both in the shower and the sink. Although we don’t rely on hotel breakfast, it was good for a few snacks.

The room had a stinky/sweaty smell upon entering both days; carper likely needs replacement. Room s dark with no outlet or light on second side of bed. Pool/spa was under construction which we didn’t see upon online booking; we’d have chosen elsewhere if we knew.

The box spring of our bed was broken, so sleeping was uncomfortable. Our neighbor had a dog that whines loudly for hours. This was slightly better than their small child that screamed all evening. We were confused as why we had to be next door to them as only a handful of people were staying the night. The fridge didn't work properly and just gave off weird toxic smelling fumes. Freon? The room was clean.

Please save your money. It was a horrible experience. The rooms were rough! The hot tub wasn’t in working order. The lock was missing on my sister’s door. The ceiling looked like it was going to collapse at any moment where the pool and hot tub were located. It was foggy in there too. We couldn’t sit on any of the chairs because they were so wet.

The staff was super friendly, accommodating, and apologetic for the issues that occurred. Our room was actually a small apartment which was nice, but the closest door fell on me as it wasn't installed properly. It was also not cleaned well prior to us coming (carpet was dirty, fridge was dirty, bathroom wasn't swept, etc..).

The pool itself was clean and the hot tub was out of order our first night, but working by night 2. The pool room, is not good. There is no air flow, so it's very foggy in there. The ceiling is warped and looks like it will come down. The bathroom in the pool room is questionable.

Breakfast was good, what you'd expect.

The building was so cold though. Our room was warm, but walking around you'd need a sweatshirt or jacket.

It needs to be renovated badly.

OK if you're not spending much time in hotel!

We had a room on the first floor just down from the breakfast area. Our heater just seemed to be blowing air without much improvement in the temp in the room. I had used my own fleece blanket one night and finally asked clerk for another blanket (not much of a one either) and then added the big towel to the bed for some comfort! We had a new TV in the room which had 2 controllers making it hard to use! Breakfast supplies were OK but not much effort put into items or someone there to replace things as needed.

We stayed for one night and chose this hotel because of the complimentary breakfast and pool. Check in was easy and someone was at the desk when we arrived. Our room was clean and had enough towels. We were happy to see the pool and hot tub were open after they were done being cleaned and the breakfast included a waffle maker, baked goods, and other options!
