Recently stayed at Hotel Michelangelo Palace in Terni, and my experience was largely positive. Here’s a breakdown of my stay:Location: The hotel is conveniently located right across from the train station, making it easily accessible for travelers arriving by train. It’s also a great base for exploring the beautiful Umbria region.Accommodation: My room was spacious and clean, featuring modern amenities that made for a comfortable stay. While the decor felt a bit dated, the room was well-maintained. The bed was comfortable, providing a good night's sleep after exploring the city.Facilities: One of the highlights was the wellness area. I enjoyed the indoor and outdoor pools, which were perfect for relaxation. The gym was adequately equipped, and the rooftop terrace restaurant offered stunning views along with delicious Umbrian cuisine. Breakfast was a treat, with a variety of options catering to both sweet and savory tastes.Service: The staff at Michelangelo Palace were incredibly friendly and attentive. Decent option

Good hotel, comfortable rooms, convenient location. My Wifi service was weak / non existent (but I didn't need it so didn't ask about it, I can't say if it's a hotel thing or a malfunction). Breakfast was below average compared to countries in rest of Europe (I haven't stayed in many Italian hotels).

Minutes to train station ...Rome in just 1 hr.!

The hotel is ok...convenient too, only a few minutes walk to the train station! It’s a very quiet hotel with a lovely pool, although they are renovating the pool area at the moment.

Very hot during summer and pool under construction (not on website when booked!!), manager refused to refund as did hotels.com and it was too late to relocate after arguing with hotels.com via chat.

Good hotel at a very convenient location

We were visiting family who live nearby. The hotel was OK for our needs and we have stayed there before, but the bed could be more comfortable and the air conditioning temperature does not get below 24 degrees celsius (Italians seem to think AC is bad for your back...). During the summer, in 44ºC weather, it is impossible to sleep. The receptionist controls the temperature of each room through a computer, but we asked several times for them to let us lower the thermostat in the room and the minimum we got was 23º₢. The hotel smells like cigarrette, but the rooms don't. The breakfast is pretty good, compared to your typical Italian breakfast of pastries only. The location is very convenient, near everything, including the train/bus station.

Convenient Location

The hotel is conveniently located across the street from the train station. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We particularly enjoyed our breakfasts, the waitstaff was attentive and cheerful, the food was good, and the cappuccinos were the best I had on our trip to Italy. There were a couple of restaurants very close by—and the old city center was a short walk—so we had lots of good dining options and enjoyed walking through the old part of town. All and all we had a nice stay and would definitely stay there again. Although our room was large, complete with a couple of comfortable chairs to relax in at the end of the day, I would say the only weakness was that I did not find the bed to be very comfortable, it was very firm and the pillow quite flat. They were fairly full when we checked in and our room assignment was not the best: first floor with our only window directly over the trash and recycling bins. Although we did not have one of the better located rooms, it was clean and quiet and I would imagine the other rooms are much nicer. I would recommend this hotel for its convenient location and friendly staff.

Disappointing for a four star

I felt that this hotel should be more a three star than a four star. The room is big enough but the bed is awful - 2 single mattresses instead of 1 double one which was very uncomfortable and the bed made so much noise when you moved. The shower too was unsatisfactory. The location is central (close to the train station but also the main square) which is positive and the staff was fine.

Enjoyable stay but noisy being on the street, particularly very early in the morning, so sleep disturbed. Possibly better elsewhere in hotel. Friendly staff and adequate choice for breakfast. Had a lovely meal in restaurant connected to hotel, but a kilometre away. Also very enjoyable meal In the hotel on 5th floor, which had another owner. Pleasant surroundings generally.

We had a great stay at Michelangelo Palace. The room was nice and very quiet and the breakfast was delicious. My son enjoyed the small outdoor pool as well. The location is great for shopping and right across the train station.

Bare bones hotel, across from train station

This hotel was rated a 4.1 out of 5 on Expedia; it is a two-star at MOST. The first room we were given was dirty, with smears on the walls and stains on the pillows. The second room was better, but by that point we wanted to get out of there asap. Breakfast was decent, and all the staff were very nice. Only book this place if you are looking to save money and don't mind a slightly melonchy atmosphere.

In general we enjoyed our brief stay at this hotel. Staff were friendly on check-in and helpful in directing us to a local restaurant for an early dinner. Unfortunately, one of our rooms was too hot and the other too cold. Directions on how to set the heating system would have been helpful.

La camera era fredda e non si riusciva a gestire il riscaldamento. Il ristorante è molto dozzinale, il servizio non è professionale. La colazione è scarsa non c’erano cornetti/brioche ma solo dei saccottini con la marmellata, mancavano i piatti ed alcuni erano anche sporchi.

Perfekt läge vid järnvägsstationen och gångavstånd till stadskärnan.
Lite slitet, fuktskada i vårt rum.
Drog ner att frukosten var nästan tom när vi kom vid 8-tiden en söndagsmorgon.
Hann tyvärr ej prova spaet men det vore en fin service.

Hotellet ligger lätt åtkomligt med bil när man kommer från Rom och ska jobba i Terni.
Gratis rymlig parkeringsplats i direkt anslutning till hotellentrén är en stor fördel.
Språkkunskaperna utöver Italienska är sparsamma. Coronarestriktionerna gör troligtvis inte frukosten och övrig service/utbud rättvisa.

Una notte piuttosto corta

La struttura è un quattro stelle con qualche anno sulle spalle ma ancora abbastanza in ordine. Si trova giusto di fronte alla stazione e ha un parcheggio sotterraneo.
Prima di cena abbiamo provato ad andare in piscina scendendo dalla camera vestiti, con costumi e teli in una borsa, ma la piscina non dispone né di bagno né di spogliatoi.
Dopo cena e fino a oltre mezzanotte le pareti della stanza hanno rimbombato di musica da discoteca di cui ignoriamo la provenienza.
La mattina seguente poco dopo le 7:00 sono iniziati i lavori di giardinaggio e di taglio dell'erba dell'hotel proprio sotto alle nostre finestre.
Forse siamo capitati in uno dei giorni meno felici per la struttura.

Comodo, pulito, vicino alla stazione.

A due passi dalla stazione, quindi molto pratico per chi non è in viaggio in auto ed essendo la città piccola il centro è comunque vicino. Il personale e la pulizia sono top. Nulla da eccepire. La stanza era un po' scura, colpa dell'arredamento ma i letti erano confortevoli e la pulizia ottima.

la posizione è ottima per chi viaggia in treno in quanto l'hotel si trova a pochi passi dalla stazione.
Molto pulito; le stanze non hanno moquette. La colazione è buona. Il personale è gentile e preparato.
Unico problema: 26 gradi C in camera, riducibili solo aprendo la finestra. Nel complesso è comunque ottimo.

Is wary near to train stacion, and walkable to the centre of Terni.
Most disadvatage is that they have not in holet teir restotan. The restorant whitch is cooperating with hotel is 20 min far of the hotel and it not good situated in City centre. And the oppening hours of restorant is realy strange some time is not open per evening - so you are going for nothing 20 min.

Che dire l'hotel e' molto bello e confortevole. Le stanze sono pulite e molto grandi.vposocuone comoda in centro vicino alla stazione ferroviaria. Parcheggio per macchine ma anche per furgoni. Qualità prezzo lo consiglio.
