Good location in Spoleto with adequate parking. Room was quickly made up— items like soap missing and floor was not dusted. Few outlets and desk staff sometimes just not there but when present, they were helpful. It’s more of a business meeting place.

We did not enjoy our stay due to:

-the front desk and restaurant staff weren't too friendly compared to other places we stay during our time in Italy.
-parking lot was full when we arrived, and we were forced to stay on the paid public parking, yet we found the garage fee on our statement.
-no iron is available in the room. Guests need to pay for ironing (2 Euro per piece!!!)
-might be covid related, but the hotel utilized a very bizarre breakfast ordering system.

Guestrooms were a bit dated but very clean. The location was great, though, and art pieces spread around helped to keep the place current.

Overall we do not recommend this place.

Great location on the edge of old town, easy walking o village. We had a large car and they have perfect parking.
Rooms were simple but clean and great price.
The place is filled with interesting art inside and out.
They helped us with directions to the restaurant we had chosen and were very good helping one of our friends that came by train.

Always a pleasure to stay in Albornoz

Once again we went with my wife to Spoleto. We love the hotel and the people. This is like the 4th time we are there. The staff are very friendly, the hotel is in very good condition, with all the amenities of a modern hotel. Sometimes can be difficult to find nice hotels in Spoleto at a reasonable price because it is a very old town with old buildings. This hotel is modern and well located. I great choice!

This hotel is on the edge of town. And it is kind of weird. It has a modern art vibe that I didn’t like. Strange paintings on the wall of the elevator. Weird art installation in the lobby. And it was empty. Just a strange “off” vibe.

Beautiful Art filled hotel, Beautiful town

A very beautiful hotel in a very beautiful town. Perfect for lovers of modern art as the hotel is full of it. A good breakfast, free parking and well appointed, On the edge of town so a little way to walk. Two areas for improvement - wifi in the rooms was terrible, and the shower needed replacing (both the cubicle was broken, and the flow rate was pathetic)

The location of this property was fairly central in he town of Spoleto. I found that it was a short walk or drive to the main square, and close to necessary shops, ie. grocery store, gas station, restaurants, etc.

Upon arrival at the hotel, we were pleasantly greeted and given our room key. It was a painless check-in process, but be aware that if you’re driving the hotel isn’t clearly marked and there’s no evident driveway or unloading area. There is an underground garage that is operated via intercom button, and was relatively easy to enter/exit.

After check-in, we made our way to our room and it was apparent right away that the hotel is older and in need of a refresh. Although clean, there was a faint musty smell throughout the place, likely due to older carpet. Spoleto is a town that appreciates art and this hotel showcased some nice pieces.

Our room, like the rest of the hotel, was on the older side and we were somewhat disappointed with how worn and aged it felt. There was definitely a distinct musty smell throughout our stay. Our main gripe was the shower’s inability to drain correctly, leaving 3 inches of water to pool at your feet every time you took a shower. Luckily, we had flip flops with us to help alleviate some feeling of being “unclean” as you tried to get clean.

The breakfast buffet was surprisingly good and I’d venture to say better than that provided at nicer hotels we’ve stayed at. They offered a selection of meats, cheeses, pastries, etc.

Specifically picked the hotel for the swimming pool, which was out of action. Had no iron, so had to got to wedding increased trousers. And the 'English' sky channels were non-existent. The staff were really friendly but the hotel was tired and not a great place to stay.

Hotel is like a contemporary art museum. Breakfast delicious. Within walking distances to elevators to moving sidewalks to make it easy to reach medieval part of town. In the alternative, the walk is beautiful past a lovely tree lined street with park on both sides. Easy walk from Hotel.

This is a very nice hotel. It is modern, clean, well located and the staff are super friendly. There is hot tub in the terrace of the third floor with a fantastic view! Do not think twice to book here.

Interesting hotel surrounded by art

We recently spent the weekend in Spoleto, which is a beautiful old historical town. The hotel was a short distance from the center. The idea of being surrounded by art, including in your room, was very nice. There are also some interesting pieces (e.g. lamps) in the rooms. Wifi was not great. The view, on the other hand, was magnificent. The hotel is a bit dated but otherwise very reasonable for the price. Overall we enjoyed our stay here.

Exploring Spoleto.

Spoleto does not appear to draw a lot of tourists and we were one of the few English speakers in town at the time. The city is pleasant and holds a number of interesting sites like the duomo and a number of other churches, some of which date back to the fourth century. We had a good time at the archaeological museum which supplies helpful information to non-Italian speakers. The Albornoz Palace Hotel is the perfect place to explore all these sites. It is within walking distance of the city center and is comfortable and staffed with friendly and helpful people. The rooms were neat and the beds were extremely comfortable. We plan to come back to Spoleto and the Albornoz Palace Hotel will be our first choice.

Modern hotel close to the old town

This was a fabulous find. Modern facilities with interesting artwork sprinkled throughout the halls and lobby. The bed was comfortable, bathroom was large and well-appointed. I had a nice little patio, and there were great views. Downtown is only about a 10 minute walk down a tree-lined street next to a park. Breakfast was ample and tasty. The staff were great -- when I was told that no cabs were available to get me to the train on time (traveler's tip: cabs in Spoleto apparently don't run before 7 am, so keep this in mind when making plans for the next phase of your journey), the front desk clerk drove me to the train station himself. Above and beyond.

Modern hotel near town centre

Hotel took a bit of finding but that was due to town layout. Hotel is in a quiet part of town. It was being used by a rather noisy set of volleyball teams, but that's what you sometimes get with a tourist-type hotel. Free garage parking which was a bonus.

Fantastic Hotel, Loved it!!!

This is a great hotel, very artistic and an easy walk downtown, set just to the side of town, easy access by car and free garage parking. Just walk down beautiful Via G. Matteotti into town center. Front desk was extremely friendly & helpful. Also very reasonably priced!! Would stay here again for sure!

Was a pleasant surprise discovering so many different art installations at the hotel. We were fortunate to have a few rooms in our group that had unique art installations. Gave us all something to talk about and share. The Free WIFI throughout the hotel was also very useful and practical. Great location and nice staff.

Il servizio e l'accoglienza è stata eccezionale. Sono rimasto molto soddisfatto del modo in cui è stato allestito l'hotel, offrendo una cosa diversa che apprezzo in quanto ovunque tu guardi c'e un'opera d'arte che da un carattere unico. Gli spazi sono grandi e le camere sono accoglienti e presentano tutte le necessità per un'ottima permanenza.
La piscina insieme al cortile è bella ma non sembra presentare cloro.
La colazione ha molta scelta di bevande e cibi vario tra il salato e il dolce che prepara bene alla giornata.

Ma sinceramente è la prima volta che ci capita che in camera cambino le federe dei guanciali tutte le mattine, oltre al consueto cambio di lenzuola dopo due-tre giorni.
Nel complesso tutta la struttura è sicuramente \"positiva\".

La struttura ha come punto di forza il fatto di essere stata realizzata da diversi artisti di arte contemporanea (ogni camera è arredata in modo differente). La posizione rispetto al centro è buona, ma non eccellente. Il personale alla reception non brilla per affabilità e gentilezza.

Esperienza imperdibile!!

L'hotel ideale per stare in zona tranquilla e nello stesso tempo a breve distanza dal centro. Rapporto qualità prezzo molto elevato. Zona servita da bus e a un passo da uno dei percorsi meccanizzati di Spoleto disponibili per raggiungere senza fatica anche le zone più alte del centro storico, inclusa la rocca Albornoz. Tutto molto pulito. Cibo ottimo. Personale competente e gentilissimo. Assolutamente consigliato agli amanti dell'arte contemporanea di cui l'hotel costituisce un museo di opere molto interessanti da poter vedere e vivere quotidianamente. Piscina accogliente in zona appartata immersa nel verde. Gli appassionati di Don Matteo possono trovare anche qualcosa che parla di lui... Un doveroso ringraziamento al personale che con noi è stato davvero disponibile ed efficiente!!

Hotel da ristrutturare in modo significativo..
Personale hall cortese.. Colazione scadente comprata da eurospin.. Dopo anni di viaggi mi sembrava di essere tornato agli anni 70 vedendo il cameriere che puliva il tavolo con la spazzola delle scarpe.. Cmq pulizia buona ma non è un hotel per chi cerca standard da 4 stelle
