Great stay, excellent space

We found the hotel excellent; the staff were very helpful and quite friendly (some reviews said otherwise but we met several people working there and all were great)

We got the smallest room; which was quite small for two people but very clean and with nice furniture comfortable bed and new bathroom, good AC etc.

Breakfast was very nice and relaxing. The public spaces are really lovely. We took our time leaving each morning because it was so inviting.

We accidentally left something in the room after we left and the staff saved it for us to pick up days later.

I would highly recommend this hotel

The hotel is an a very good location . Personnel is friendly and willing to assist for any need . However , rooms are not big and have the essential . An hand of fresh paint here and there will not hurt . Fair relation price /quality . Could be a nice addition to have more variety on breakfast menu : not everybody likes brioches and melba toast in the morning .

Nice but not so friendly

On our arrival, we were met at the front desk by a rather gruff man who checked us in. Not very hospitable or gracious. Also we encountered one of the attendants at breakfast with the same reaction. The hotel was clean and we liked the location. And the man at the desk in the evening was very nice and helpful. Just a few not so friendly encounters.

If you had to pay for attitude this property would be unaffordable. The owner and 1 of his sons (the short one) are arrogant and have no customer service skills. My husband is Italian and I am fluent so there was no misunderstanding anything. It is really unfortunate since this hotel is conveniently located and the lobby is lovely. When we first walked in we were very impressed and then it was all down hill. They have a system for parking where they give you the permit and tell you what streets you can park on. We followed their instructions and found a ticket on the car the next morning. It turns out that the permit was expired by a month. The ticket was obviously their responsibility but the way they handled it was very unprofessional. I asked for a copy of the payment receipt and the owner started yelling at me, finally he said that they would e-mail me one. It took numerous e-mails and 3 phone calls after we left to get a copy. Both mornings we were without hot water. The first morning we let it slide, the second morning it felt initially OK but once in it went cold. My husband went down and spoke to the owner who said he didn't know what to do with the heater we would have to wait for the son. Since I had already put the soap in my hair etc that wasn't an option so had to rinse in cold water, again. The coffee machine in the breakfast room spews out the most vile liquid that in no way resembles cappuccino, the young lady was kind enough to get me one from the bar.

Good, but with minor issues/concerns.

I had problems connecting to the Internet and controlliing the room temperature. Staff generally does not speak English, though this is not a fault of theirs, simply a point worth noting. Hotel was in a good location, although parking is limited at hotel. A local mentioned that the restaurant is quite good, but I had no personal experience.

Rooms were nothing exceptional (we paid extra only not to have the basic room and still werent quite happy). One of the brothers at the front desk was pissed off all the time. We had a simple lunch at the restaurant and the pasta was very good.

Air conditioning and phone in room were not working. I mentioned the air conditioning on 3 occasions and was told they were going to look into it, they never did and I ended up sleeping a hot room with window open. The customer service just was not friendly or responsive.

We stayed for one night on our down to south of Italy. Room was small but adequate for our needs. Though we came when they were having a party. They made room for us to have dinner there. Wonderful dinner. Everyone very friendly and accommodating.

The walk from the train station to the hotel isn't really that far but it's up steep roads and pathways so our advice is to take a taxi. If you are traveling by car it appeared there was parking. The young girl was very efficient. Rooms were rather small and compact. Breakfast was reasonable too.

Delightful, stylish with attention to detail.

All the staff were very helpful and friendly - the receptionists, particularly Alan who helped us with parking etc and supplied a much needed large beer when we arrived at 1 am! The cleaning staff were really nice and efficient. We have already said we want to return.

Great location to explore from.

The hotel was excellent, rooms were clean, beds were great. Easy walking distance to park, bus stops, downtown, train station, etc. Great restaurants within walking distance. My only advice is to keep your online booking paperwork with your room rate quote. When we checked out they tried to overcharge us 105. euros. I took out my print-out from Expedia and showed them the rate we were quoted and they changed the bill. Just FYI.

\"Lost\" my reservation. Gave me a different room two floors down in the basement. Had no wifi down in the dungeon. While in the lobby using wifi, noticed some event and a ton of people coming in to restaurant part of hotel, then into rooms that were not in the dungeon. Pretty sure my \"reservation\" went to one of the locals. Staff werent that friendly, pretty much blew me off when i asked about the no wifi in the room. Room was actually nicely updated and fairly clean. Shower did not drain though. Almost overflowed onto floor. Will not return. Hope the next persons stay is better than mine.

Quick stop on the way to Rome

We stopped here for 1 night on the way to Rome in May 2014. The hotel is family run and everyone was very friendly. They were hosting a wedding when we arrived so the place was packed and very noisy. The room was serviceable, but you could hear every footstep walking down the hallway. We would stay here again. Best meal in Italy was in this town.

Struttura datata non pulitissima( abbiamo trovato anche uno scarafaggio) e non sistemata a dovere, tavoletta del vater rotta e doccia con guarnizione rotta che mandava acqua da tutte le parti tranne che da dove doveva uscire....

Sono arrivata all'hotel Clitunno un po' scettica, per via di alcune recensioni poco rassicuranti, ma mi sono ricreduta subito. L'hotel si trova nella ZTL di Spoleto, ma è facile da raggiungere e offre svariate possibilità di parcheggio nei dintorni (pagando una cauzione di 10€, che ci è stata restituita al check-out, abbiamo avuto un tagliando per parcheggiare gratuitamente negli stalli blu). All'arrivo ho chiesto di cambiare stanza, per via dei miei problemi di allergia. Ci hanno proposto subito alcune soluzioni e ci hanno assegnato gratuitamente una camera migliore. Siamo stati colpiti dalla gentilezza che si respira in quest'hotel, tutto il personale è sempre cordiale e sorridente (vi assicuro che noi siciliani, che abbiamo il sole nel cuore, apprezziamo tanto un atteggiamento del genere!) dalla reception alla sala colazione, senza dimenticare gli addetti alle pulizie. La struttura è a un minuto a piedi dal Teatro nuovo, dal Teatro romano con il Museo archeologico e da Corso Mazzini. Con una breve passeggiata, si possono raggiungere gli ascensori che conducono ai tappeti mobili sotterranei: per chi vuole evitare di percorrere le ripide salite, gratuitamente, la città è a portata di... piede! Anche se è bello perdersi tra le stradine di Spoleto! L'hotel offre a tutti gli ospiti una colazione a buffet con cornetti, ciambelle, crostate, pancake, fette biscottate, marmellata, cappuccino, caffè ecc. Abbiamo soggiornato per 7 notti, per scoprire la splendida terra umbra!

Scriviamo questo giudizio negativo in quanto questa struttura, che vanta 4 stelle, ha delle problematiche pesanti. La prima riguarda la pulizia dei bagni e delle camere, approssimativa, e la seconda riguarda la tranquillità notturna, inesistente in quanto il vociare delle persone che cenano nello spazio sottostante le camere rimbomba impedendo di tenere le finestre aperte, e la climatizzazione della camera non risolve in quanto rumorosa e per nulla efficiente. Il personale per contro è stato molto gentile e disponibile, ma suggerirei di provvedere ad un controllo più puntuale circa la pulizia ed a sostituire al più presto gli attuali condizionatori con delle apparecchiature silenziose.

La nostra vacanza a Spoleto

Alla reception abbiamo inizialmente trovato un giovane impiegato che non ci ha dato molte informazioni quali ad esempio la dichiarazione della targa dell’auto perché l’albergo si trova in zona ZTL, l’orario della colazione e nemmeno il numero della camera, poco leggibile sul portachiavi. Più tardi abbiamo trovato un receptionist che sapeva il fatto sul è molto gentilmente ha provveduto a dare tutte le corrette informazioni per il nostro soggiorno. La camera piccola ma pulita così come il bagno. Magari sarebbe meglio la doccia anziché la vasca. Colazione più che buona.

La struttura è comoda perché situata al centro, pulizia buona ,camere e arredamento da rifare,eravamo 3 adulti e un bambino, abbiamo preso una camera matrimoniale e un secondo letto che ci avevano detto era una piazza e mezzo ma la sorpresa è stata un divano letto che una volta aperto si passava con fatica ,cameriere e donne della pulizia carinissime per il resto poco dispinibili

Location centralissima e hotel molto bello. Unico problema l'aria condizionata che rinfrescava poco ma c'è da dire che la stanza era molto fresca di suo nonostante la temperuta esterna fosse calda,quindi non è stato un problema enorme.

La stanza assegnatami non era assolutamente pulita e abbiamo dovuto chiedere di pulirla, non era la stanza da noi prenotata,ma una più piccola e scarsa....le descrizioni della camera non rispecchiano a pieno quelle fornite dal sito....il parcheggio doveva essere gratis invece si paga....non mi è piaciuto l'atteggiamento del personale. La posizione è il suo punto forte

La nota super positiva di questo hotel è senza dubbio la posizione nel cuore di Spoleto alta ideale per girare il centro storico e per trovarsi in pochi minuti nel cuore storico di Spoleto. La camera è molto piccola però pulita la vista sui tetti che si vede aprendo la finestra è incantevole, la colazione è sufficiente anzi superiore ad alcuni altri hotel italiani.

un pernottamento con colazione. Appena arrivati, misurata temperatura (non tutti lo fanno), illustrata mappa città, efficienti e gentili.
Camera piccola ma x una notte andava più che bene. Bagno pulito. Colazione: no buffet x motivi sanitari ma ci hanno portato vassoio con dolce e salato. si poteva anche chiedere altro.
In centro, visiti città a piedi o con ascensori.
Prezzo molto economico.

Una presa in giro !!! La stanza 140 che viene spacciata per una matrimoniale superiore e una vera delusione, non ha niente di una stanza superiore, neanche acqua nel mini bar , sono dovuta scendere è comprarla nel ristorante. Non abbiamo neanche utilizzato la doccia... il bagno era orribile, i muri sporchi e pieni di crepe , cossi inagibile . Insomma quando sono andata a chiedere perché questa camera e non quella che io ho prenotato mi ha apostrofato con le parole razziste !!! Posso dire che è stata una bella esperienza ???

All arrivo la camera assegnataci non era pronta, ho avuto l impressione che ci fosse un po di disorganizzazione, abbiamo dovuto fare su e giù per scale e corridoi per raggiungere una microcamera, dotata di tutto ma un po angusta e con il letto ormai da sostituire, niente da dire sulla colazione ben assortita, non mi hanno rilasciato nessuna ricevuta ne per la camera ne per il parcheggio sara normale?

Accolti da personale non proprio cortese (di quelli che quando dicono buongiorno non ti guardano neanche in faccia e se ti vedono che aspetti per chiedere la chiave ti lasciano lì 5 minuti, salvo sbucare all'improvviso se vedono che allunghi la mano per prendertela, infine, da solo) in questo hotel abbiamo presto scoperto che il parcheggio non c'è (si parcheggia nei posti blu del centro storico, quasi tutti transennati per lavori, dietro pagamento di una cauzione) e l'ascensore serve solo una parte dell'albergo, mentre la maggior parte delle stanze sono raggiungibili con un saliscendi di gradini spossante. Potete immaginare con i bagagli e i bambini...Certo l'ambiente è molto chic, evoca atmosfere antiche, ma a discapito della funzionalità e della cortesia!

Buon hotel in posizione ideale per visitare la città.
E' in zona ZTL ma è possibile raggiungerlo ugualmente. Di fronte all'hotel c'è un piccolo parcheggio. Il proprietario ha permesso di parcheggiare la mia auto nella zona a loro riservata. La camera e il bagno erano spaziosi con un buon livello di servizi. Wifi gratuita e TV a grande schermo. La zona della mia camera non era accessibile a chi ha difficoltà motorie ma probabilmente ci sono altre camere più adatte. Ottima la colazione.

Péssimo atendimento e péssimas condições do hoel.

Ao chegar no quarto do hotel, constatei que não havia pilhas no controle do ar condicionado. Uma recepcionista informou que nenhum aparelho de ar condicionado funcionava no hotel. Afirmou que não me preocupasse, porque à noite a temperatura ficaria confortável. No inicio da noite continuou fazendo muito calor e o quarto era muito abafado. Insisti com um senhor, então de plantão na recepção, que extremamente mal educado. Respondeu aos resmungos que não havia ar condicionado. Postulei que desejava cancelar a hospedagem. Disse que não era possível. Chamou ouro senhor, a que denominava \"Diretor\". Expliquei que não havia condições de dormir sem o ar condicionado. Se não houvesse solução, reiterei que desejava cancelar a hospedagem. Apenas fui informado que isso não seria possível. Insisti em uma solução. Após algum tempo, esse último senhor então disse que havia ar condicionado no quarto. Utilizando um novo controle e introduzindo alguns códigos, o aparelho passou a funcionar. Solicitei então que fosse fechada a veneziana da janela, velha, enferrujada e emperrada, que permitiria entrar a luz solar assim que amanhecesse. Não houve solução, pois o hotel é muito velho e mal conservado. Ou seja, não deveria constar desse site e oferecido aos clientes.
