The resort looked beautiful from the outside however, once checked in and I saw my room I was highly upset. It super old and outdated. Reflected nothing of the outside. It was so outdated I had a partial ocean view so I called to see if I could upgrade and was told all the rooms look like this. Also this is the first resort I’ve stayed at that’s didn’t have enough charging ports in the room. I had to keep switching out charging amongst 3 of us and unplug my medical machine. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning tj this resort.

Very beautiful and wonderfully maintained. Excellent staff. Food quality is eh. We found a few really yummy things, but otherwise, it was bleh.

Also, the lack of outlets in the room is frustrating. It would be nice if there were more garbage cans around too.

The entertainment was mediocre at best. No bar open past 11 on the property, you gotta go Nextdoor.

We had a wonderful stay at the RIU Palace in Cabo San Lucas. All the staff that we dealt with were very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and the food at the buffet was excellent. Many different things to choose from. Worked well for a family with different likes. I would definitely consider staying at the RIU again.

Wonderful staff and location. Just a few things that make your vacation not relaxing. We were there 6 nights. Every night but 1, we were woken up several times a night by other guests screaming, fighting, drunken craziness. Our tv did not work either
Very hard to eat at the à la carte restaurants. Very very limited menus as well. Buffets were good though.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The property was beautiful, clean, and very well maintained. The food was delicious with plenty of great options to choose from. The service was outstanding—every staff member was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. From check-in to check-out, everything exceeded our expectations. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation.

This property exceeded our expectations. This was our first all inclusive experience, and we were nervous to see how it went. We had a family with two kids (10 and 14), a couple in their 40s, and grandparents in their 70s with us . We were pleasantly surprised by everything from the way the hotel looks, to the cleanliness and the amenities, and even the food options were great. We had heard that other properties haggle and nickel and dime, but we did not experience that at all here. Highly recommend for groups traveling together or travelers looking to just relax and have everything taken care of for them.

Riu Palace property is ok. Good location but rooms are very outdated. Food is terrible. I’m not a foodie and temper my expectations when it comes to all inclusives, but the food was borderline inedible. The Baja and Santa Fe were actually pretty good so I don’t know what the problem was at the Palace. There was literally nothing that impressed me. I wouldn’t go back if it were free to be honest. I think this is the first bad review I’ve ever left, but I don’t want others to have my same experience. And if you book through Expedia, forget it…the staff will not help you with any problems, just say they can’t do anything cause you booked through a third party. We had return airport transport with our booking that neither Riu Palace or Expedia would honor. Another $100 out of pocket to get home and the final cherry on a lousy stay. I’d avoid Riu all together, but if you must, book at the Baja California or the Sante Fe. Much cleaner, nicer rooms, and decent food.

I recently stayed at Hotel Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas. The staff was friendly and the food was okay, but the room conditions were very disappointing.

The bathroom in my room had roaches, and the sofa was dirty and stained. My dad’s room had the same issues. Both the bathroom and the room looked outdated and did not feel clean or properly maintained.

For a resort like this, I expected much better cleanliness and room quality. The service from the staff was good, but the overall condition of the rooms made the stay disappointing.

This hotel was really clean, and the staff members were nice and helpful. The one thing that guest should know is if you go to dinner at any of the restaurants for one you can order multiple meals. It's one meal and that is it. you also can't order cocktails at the restaurants. They send you to get drinks at the upper bar, they will only serve you wine. That was annoying. It was also very hard to get into the restaurants as well. They don't take reservations and they are always booked. The buffet was always good.

I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding my recent stay in an Ocean View Two-Bedroom suite from Thursday through Monday.

During our stay, we discovered roaches in our room and immediately reported the issue to hotel staff. Rather than addressing the situation appropriately, I felt that staff members were dismissive and rude when I raised my concerns. The only solution offered was to spray the room with Raid, which is not an acceptable remedy for a guest room, especially one occupied by a family.

Additionally, when I requested to be moved, the alternative room offered was located near the lobby and did not have the Ocean View accommodations that I had specifically paid for. This was not a comparable room and would have significantly reduced the value of our stay.

To make matters worse, the roaches reappeared the very next day after the room was sprayed, demonstrating that the issue was not properly resolved. As a result, my family and I spent the remainder of our vacation uncomfortable and concerned about the cleanliness and condition of the room.

I paid for an Ocean View Two-Bedroom experience and did not receive the quality of accommodations or customer service that should be expected. I am requesting that management review this matter and provide appropriate compensation for the inconvenience, unsanitary conditions, and poor handling of my complaint.

I’ve stayed at this property a few years back and my experience was significantly different. The staff as always is incredible. The food was “blah” at best; we ended up having dinner outside 6 out of 7 nights. Rooms smelled and beds were uncomfortable. If you are looking for a college trip, this is the place to be. Otherwise try a different resort.

The resort is very clean and feels safe. All the staff speaks English well and they provided great service especially at the buffet and restaurants. Lots of food variety at the buffet and carne asada tacos by the pool side grill were delicious. Nightly music and shows for the kids and adults. There is a gate by the pool that leads to the walkway to visit the Hotel Riu Sante Fe if you want to avoid the stairs at the front entrance.

Riu Palace is a very nice resort. I like the fact that it is the perfect size, so you don't have to walk so far to the pool and restaurants. There was a nice selection of food in the buffet and plenty of restaurants to choose from. The food in the buffet was very good; however, being a dessert person, the desserts had very little taste. The pools are large and not crowded. They are very cold in the morning, but warm up around 1. The swim-up bar is separate from the large pool and is about 4ft. The resort beds are comfortable, though I wish they would have had a thin blanket in the room for those of us who get chilly at night. The bathrooms are a nice size for two. The furniture is getting old, and the pull-out twin sofa needs to be replaced. It hurts to sit on it for very long.

Hotel was amazing. The only issue we had was with the transport company Destination Tours.. Our transport confirmations weren’t received so we had a huge back and forth issue with them.. in the end they settled the issue but one of our party members had to pay for private transportation due to their issues not being resolved … my advice is as soon as you arrive to the hotel make sure you speak with the transportation department in order to allow them time to settle any issues

Staff was fairly friendly. The view and location of the hotel was pretty perfect. Amazing view of the sea from the view and room. The rooms were not the greatest. Our toilet seat was not the size of the toilet bowl and the shower was broken. The sliding door was misaligned but they were able to fix it. You can tell the property was older and needed some work. Overall the buffet had many options and the dinners at most of the restaurants were good. Misaki was the exception because being from LA, we are spoiled with great sushi…I was disappointed at the lack of quality and preparation. The nice thing was you get access to the other properties-Santa Fe has a newer pool and host the Riu parties.

The resort is huge ( I have a walker to get around ) so it took 10 mintutes to get from room to the lobby with rests in between thay need a better mapping system to tell you where things are . I had one issue I was at the south pool and wanted to get something to eat before dinner so I decided to go to Pepe's Food so I had to cut through the El Medino steakhouse ( which they open at 6:00 and it was only 5:00 ) so I asked the person in charge if I could stop and rewst and he said no I would have to go back to the entrance of the resturant ( which I was at the end of the resturant right by Pepe's Food it was maybe 50 feet away ) I wasn't asking for a table or a chair because my rollator has a seat I just needed to rest and he said no after I raised my voice he eventually let me rest there

Poor maintenance, pool pipes were leaking, jacuzzi in the room leaking through taps, a cockroach crawled over in the balcony, that was creepy, the beach is not usable due to high waves and rip current. The food was decent (dwarfed by Barcelo though), cocktails were undrinkable pure sugar. Nice entertainment program in the evenings. Palace is quieter, Santa Fe is a party place with a bunch of high schoolers coming to drink their minds off, so keep that in mind. To get to a boat tour you need to taxi yourself to the town to La Terminal, that adds to the cost ($20 each way). Compared to other places this is actually one of the best in Los Cabos. Just having been in other places, this pales.

I liked everything really, had a good time in the pool, the people were very nice and the the rooms clean, beds very comfortable not many events but for us it was okay, had trouble with the Aereomexico Airlines left us in another terminal by the time we got to the right terminal the connection flight left without us and resulting delay of 4 hours and our transfer to the hotel also left us at 10:00 PM at night we have to pay a taxi thank God was one available at the time of night we have to pay it our self, the transfer was included with the hotel price
