If there is a word that best describes this property its the filoxenia from the staff. Clean hotel, recently renovated pool and bedrooms. Lovely relaxing beach close by. Also easy access to the town and other nearby beaches if one would like to go as an option. Nice restaurants on the main road followed by a local supermarket, bakeries, petrol station.
We will be visiting you all soon Stavroulla and Yiannis

The property itself is nice, clean and well managed. It is however located at the very edge of town which requires a 15 minute walk into an area where there are dining options. The town itself seems to be in decline which is no fault whatsoever of the property.

Fantastic hotel in a great location

Beautiful hotel set in a stunning location on the beach. Check in and check out were both very easy - all staff were extremely helpful, polite and friendly. Rooms were clean and a good size (we had the standard front sea view) - a very big bed and a sofa bed for our daughter.
Swimming pool was cleaned daily and was perfect.
Restaurant - breakfast, lunch and dinner were all superb with a lovely view. Reasonably priced for the quality of food, drink and service received.
Quiet and peaceful especially in the evenings - was nice to sit on the balcony and stargaze and look/listen to the bats.
Staff gave us information on where to go and booked excursions - all very helpful.
Great location, short walk to strip of restaurants and bars.
Would totally recommend and plan on visiting again.
If we had to find any negative from our stay, it would be that there was no coffee machine in the room (but again that’s only if I had to give a negative as absolutely loved our stay).

Lovely hotel - spacious balcony - recommended!

Lovely hotel - room was very comfortable, staff very pleasant. Much more upscale than your usual Greek hotel and a good price. Free welcome drink on arrival - however they wouldn’t allow a G and T which was a shame! Spacious balcony and nice sea view. Would highly recommend :-)

Great accommodating hotel on the beach

We had double booked our nights, sunny bay welcomed to modify our stay and allow us to stay another night. Had a great meal for dinner, on-site restaurant was very good and the breakfast is great as well. Weather was very windy during our stay so the beach was less than desirable.

Quiet beachfront location in Kissamos

Good quiet location right on the beach and a short walk away from all the restaurants in Kissamos.

Breakfast and dinner, not too many options but all delicious.

Excellent staff friendly staff

The only negative is that our room was a little dated/basic and it can do with a renovation, at least to update the bed. The walls are also not that well soundproofed, so your stay might depend on your neighbours.

A lovely stay at a family-run hotel

Great family-run hotel. Quiet area, located about a 10-minute walk from the coastal restaurants and centre of Kissamos.
Hotel food very good quality, particularly enjoyed our breakfasts looking out over the sea every morning.
Everything you could need in a little hotel: good location to get to Balos, Elafonisi and Falasarna by car or organized excursion, beautiful pool, balcony, comfortable large room with AC, private beach with umbrellas and sunbeds, mini mart with essentials including water and suncream! Lots of space to leave the hire car too.

Nice quite hotel. A little old but it’s very normal for this small town. Private beach. Not loud. Very friendly staff. They explained everything me around the place. It’s about 10
Minutes to walk to the promenade where you can find restaurants to have dinner. Breakfast is a little poor.

It is a very nice and clean hotel close to the beach and football field with running track (free entrance).
I visited the hotel in August 2020 during covid-19 pandemy, I felt safe as they kept the health regulations. Staff was wearing masks and gloves, they served breakfast behind a plexiglass and they ensured safe distancing.

Great value in Kissamos!

We had a great stay at Sunny Bay! The view from our room was spectacular as we could see the entire Kissamos bay. Beach access was easy and the pool was clean and refreshing. We loved the breakfast provided and they did an excellent job of serving the food taking cleanliness standards into account during COVID-19. We ordered food and drinks from the bar using our phones and it came out timely and was very delicious. Highly recommend.

Deserves it’s high rating

We have just returned from a week’s stay in Kissamos at the Sunny Bay Hotel. We received a very pleasant welcome from the owners, even though we arrived late into the evening. Nothing was too much trouble, helping out with travel adaptors we had forgotten and even a lost passport (thankfully quickly found). The location is perfect for a peaceful break with the beach and shoreline immediately on the doorstep. The food was excellent, the staff friendly and courteous and the room clean and well spec’ed. Only thing missing was a kettle of coffee making but it’s minor point. Thank you to all at Sunny Bay for making our holiday a delight.

It is a lovely hotel on very quiet Kissamos area with a great food and fantastic host:) All people working there were very nice and friendly, room was clean and tidy with a flat tv and a small fridge. We loved it. If we come back Kissamos we'll go to the Sunny Bay again.

Good location on beach

Good hotel by the beach. Close walk to tavernas along the waterfront. Front desk was fast and efficient. Staff very friendly. It is ina great location to explore the western Crete beaches. We rented a car a drove to different ones each day. The are all within a short drive awawy.

Best Location for Exploring Creta’s Best Beaches!

We were here for two nights, and wish we could have stayed longer! The room was spacious and superclean, the pools and entire property sparkling!! The beach sand a little pebbles, but the water is clear, warm and the waves were gentle. Lots of good dinner/evening options a short walk away, and the gentleman at the front desk super- helpful!! We hope to return on our next trip!!

Lovely family-run hotel.

A very good hotel, difficult to locate as the sign was rather faded.
We pointed this out to the family owners who showed us the new sign! Very comfortable room with nice balcony, good dining area and excellent choice of food for dinner. The family and their staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Highly recommended.

Close to it all

Close to the port for the ferries to Gramvousa/Balos, can walk to great restaurants. PIXIDIA restaurant was incredible and by the main strip by the beach. A lot to do that is within walking distance. Hotel staff was lovely and the view was great. Bathrooms could use some updating but the rooms were comfy and spacious enough. Would stay again.

Almost perfect stay, i mean, money value is excellent, a clean very well located place to sleep with a nice breakfast a excellent service. The beach in front of the hotel isn't the nicest, but the hotel is a good based to explore the near beaches which are amazing. No wifi in the room, good amenities.

Good views but not nice area

Great views from room,good size room but poor area with lots of loose dogs around.Not nice to walk back after dark.

Sunny Bay Hotel

We had a lovely stay at this beach front hotel. The staff were very pleasant and friendly. The food let the hotel down a bit. The menu was a bit pricey. We would have walked into the town to eat on the second night, but we were too tired after our visit to Balos Bay. The air conditioning in our room didn't seem to make the room much cooler. The buffet breakfast was ok but the hot food was cold, even though it was on a food warmer.
We visited Balos Bay which was lovely but a very long drive up a mountain. Not a good drive for a nervous driver, like me! Then a very steep walk down to the bay. Another time I would take the boat round to the bay. Overall though I would happily rebook at this hotel another time,

Kolmas kerta Sunny Bay Hotellissa ja tullaan varmasti vielä uudelleen.
Täällä loma tuntuu todella lomalta: ihana allasalue ja ranta aivan hotellin edustalla.
Aamupala monipuolinen. Kaikki tuoretta ja hyvää.

Huone oli todella tyylikkäästi remontoitu.

Majoituimme nyt toista kertaa tässä hotellissa ja palaamme vielä.
Täällä loma todella tuntuu lomalle.

Siisti ja rauhallinen hotelli, välittömästi meren rannalla, viihtyisä uima-allasalue, ihana henkilökunta, loistava aamiainen ja ruoka hotellissa muutenkin todella hyvää.

Meillä oli perhehuone, jossa kaksi parveketta ja tilavat huoneet.

Tolle Lage, aber ungemütliche Zimmer

Das Hotel hat eine sehr schöne Lage direkt am Meer. Die gesamte Anlage macht einen gepflegten Eindruck. Die Zimmer selbst haben uns nicht überzeugt, sie sind in die Jahre gekommen und wirken nicht sehr gemütlich. Wenn man sie moderner gestalten würde, wäre das Hotel wirklich super und hätte vier Sterne verdient.

La struttura è rinnovata, molto bella la piscina, il ristorante in riva al mare, la spiaggia con lettini e ombrelloni molto comoda, parcheggio proprio di fianco alla struttura, teli mare forniti dall’hotel.
Posizione tranquilla, poca gente sulla spiaggia e silenzio sia di giorno che di sera (a parte il festival di fianco allo stadio).
Le camere hanno un arredamento un po’ vecchiotto ma sono molto pulite. Il bagno in particolare avrebbe bisogno di un restyling.
Cambio asciugamani giornaliero e lenzuola ogni 2 giorni.
Personale delle pulizie molto disponibile e attento, personale di sala cortese, in particolare Eva, Ina e Florian sono stati davvero preziosi.
Un particolare saluto a Lucy, la cagnolina della struttura che mi ha fatto sentire meno la mancanza dei miei pelosi a casa.
Passiamo agli aspetti negativi: il menù dovrebbe essere un po’ più vario, è capitato più volte di non sapere cosa scegliere o che mancasse qualche ingrediente. Purtroppo a Creta ci sono tanti randagi (cani e gatti) e non mi è piaciuto l’atteggiamento della proprietà riguardo a questi cani (sopratutto), che venivano allontanati in malo modo. Io su questo tema sono piuttosto sensibile e avrei preferito una gestione diversa.

Ihan kelpo hotelli meren rannalla. Kävelymatkan päässä palveluita, mutta ei siis aivan hotellin välittömässä läheisyydessä. Aamupala oli hyvä ja palvelu toimi. Aamulla koirat ulvoi kanojen kanssa kilpaa. Alue ja hotelli vaikutti hyvin eläinystävälliseltä. Kissamos on alueena hieman kolkko, mutta kokemisen arvoinen.

Great View from the beachfront room

Nice, peaceful stay. Basic hotel, but everything worked smoothly. Go for the beachfront room - beautifull View to the sea! Breakfast by the sea was nice, allthough no toasts available. Kissamos restaurants are under one kilometer away.

Visited a week with a friend. This hotel and its staff is AMAZING! They are so kind and always striving to make your vacation go smoothly. We had half board, which included breakfast & dinners each night, as we really just needed to relax all week, and the dinners were so good! Fresh incredients, great taste and good menu to choose from. I hope this hotel keeps succeeding, as they deserve it to the fullest.

Hotel un po’ fuori dal paese di Kissamos ma tranquillo con una discreta spiaggia attrezzata e privata .stanza spaziosa e luminosa con vista su spiaggia con mobili datati bagno purtroppo con vasca obsoleta e con scarsi generi di conforto ma ottimo sapone . Stanza dotata di un bel terrazzo dotata di stendino. Buffet a colazione buono presentato in modo ordinato e rifornito in continuazione , anche il locale : pulito ordinato e luminoso ,tavolini puliti con solerzia appena i commensali lasciavano il locale. Piscina ampia e confortevole.

Pour ceux qui aiment le calme sans pour autant être loin de tout, cet hôtel est un bon compromis. Le personnel est serviable et souriant tout en restant professionnel. L'hôtel est bien entretenu dans son ensemble. Il offre un accès à la plage et possède une piscine des plus appréciable. En revanche, le petit déjeuner sucré était bien moins fourni que le salé et légèrement moins qualitatif. Un grille-pain serait le bienvenu et peut-être qu'ouvrir le petit-déjeuner un peu plus tôt (en ce moment 8h-10h) serait plus pratique pour les excursions, mais celui-ci reste correct. La chambre était plutôt spacieuse avec baignoire et un balcon agréable avec vue partielle sur la piscine et la mer. Les lits sont confortables.
L'hôtel possède un très bon rapport qualité-prix, nous y avons passé un excellent séjour et le recommandons vivement.

Hôtel avec rapport qualité prix imbattable, petit déjeuner avec vue sur la mer, chambre spacieuses, piscine et finition soignée, personnel toujours présent. Voiture nécessaire pour aller aux plus belles plages de l’île des environs (Balos, Elafonissi) et à une demi heure de la joli ville de Chania. Bref un belle endroit pour explorer l'ouest de l’île.
