I liked the classic feel of the hotel. It reminded me of a place from the 1950s. The staff were friendlier than chain hotel staff and really made you feel welcome. The breakfast was also good, yet had the same items everyday. I loved the fresh flowers on each table. Only problem is it's in a suburban area away from St Pete activities.

Absolutely charming!! So perfect for a quiet and relaxing stay. I already booked another stay before I left and have told all my family about it. It’s better than any chain. Amazing breakfast. Rocking chairs everywhere. Butterfly garden is so sweet. And pool is nice. It’s a boutique/historic hotel and so perfect. We traveled to Tampa and back and forth to St Pete Beach and Pass-a-grille (only 12 min away) and the travel was easy.

We appreciated the historic nature of the hotel from the creaking of the wooden floors to sitting on the veranda. The staff were absolutely fabulous and helpful especially Dani at the front desk. Breakfast was a delight to be included, I personally would have preferred variety from day to day. A charming little hotel with great proximity to the beaches. We would definitely return!

We visited for my birthday because of our interest in historic and haunted places. As a disabled couple we greatly appreciate all of the assistance that we received from the staff, especially Kazzandra at the front desk. She was super friendly and helpful throughout the entire stay. Also, the breakfast was amazing! It had a wide selection and was presented nicely. The property has the quirks and character that you'd expect from a building of it's age. As long as you understand and appreciate that, you should be happy.

Breakfast choices are very good. Very quiet and comfortable room. It is 100 year old hotel with character, so won't expect Four Seasons. But it is off the beaten pad hotel in almost residential area safe for evening strolls. Happy with our choice to stay there couple of days during our travels.

this is an older property.. the carpeting in the hallways have a musty smell and the AC units are super loud . The rooms are on the smaller side so the noise from the AC is overwhelming.

I was not sure what to expect from a place that is a Bed and Breakfast but has Hotel in the name. I was intrigued by the history and the reviews looked good so we booked it. What a great choice.This hotel had all the charm and intimacy of a B&B. The staff was friendly and engaging, always looking for ways to make our stay better. It is in a walkable area near vintage stores, a wonderful coffee shop and a a beautiful park and area to fish across the street. We sat on the veranda and had drinks with our friends, and met other travelers. The breakfast was excellent! Eggs, omelettes, bacon, sausages, hashbrowns, oatmeal with toppings, any bread you could want… truly amazing offerings for a free breakfast. I would absolutely recommend ! And hope to be back to stay again. Kathy and Jennifer at the front desk were so welcoming, friendly and helpful.

Crystal Bay Hotel was fantastic! Check-in was fast and easy as was check-out. Staff in every area of the hotel was friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and courteous. The daily breakfast buffet was excellent, plentiful, and nicely appointed. The pool was clean and the loungers were plentiful and comfortable; greenery was well taken care of. The hotel was absolutely beautiful with lovely furnishings in the common areas as well as the rooms. We were about 3 miles from the beaches, and area restaurants were good. We will definitely be back!!

Great staff. Great location right over the bridge to St. Pete’s. Everyone was pleasant, clean pool and just a really nice place to stay. Breakfast was a huge plus and coffee/tea all day and night in the den area. Great place for the money.

It’s a restored older hotel in close proximity to the beaches. We had one one of the smaller rooms which was ok but would’ve preferred something a little larger. The bathroom was small which is to expected in an older hotel. The tv cable system was one of those where they stream all the stations that almost nobody watches at home. When you would enter a station number from the list that they have it would come up not available. We chose it for the old time charm not the tv reception and were not disappointed!!
