We had to lose the $300 + we spent on two rooms there and find other accommodations. It was so musty and unsafe that we couldn’t bring ourselves to spend more than 15 minutes there much less sleep there with 2 children. It was not even an option to stay here- there were men loitering and chain smoking outside of our door that watched us go in to drop our luggage and were still staring when we walked out.

We always Check-in with Renee at the front desk.When me and my husband stay and she is the most polite.Kind patient friendly woman who goes out of her way to preanticipate every guest needs and we have become what we consider to be Regulars of this certain location and renee Is our very favorite Employee at this wyndham super eight motel. She makes the check in process very easy ,especially Especially for us because my husband and I always do an early Check-in and she is always able to get us in a room quickly before the 3 o'clock. Check-in time at whatever time we request and if she can't. She does her very best to get us as close as she can. She's amazing and one of the main reasons. We continue to come back.

I did not end up staying. I went to Quality Inn right across the street. Super 8 motel office smelled bad like mold and musk. The computer system was down and they would not let me look at the rooms first. Then when I booked a room across at Quality Inn I heard regulars saying that cops get called every other night and that it is not safe.

Should be called Section 8 not Super 8.
Not the cleanest or updated. Dirty bedspreads but sheets and pillowcases LOOKED clean. Dust mites are only visible microscopically. Table furniture and upholstery on chairs were filthy. However, the Check-in lady and having hot water was nice.

The room was filty.Thick accumulated dust on clothes hanger, bed boards. Toilet has dry urine stain on it. TV, AC unit, Lights, plug ins, phone not working. Strong Curry smell in the room. We were charged almost $180 night of terrible stay.

Horrible Condition & False Advertising!

This hotel is more like a motel. Bad conditions. Run down. Beware!! False advertising!!!!! I booked this location because it said included breakfast and showed pictures of you're typical hotel breakfast bar/offerings. This was NOT true! They gave each guest a small granola bar and coffee at the front desk. They are doing renovations so you have to check in at the Howard Johnson. This was such a horrible stay....beds super uncomfortable! Not worth the $173 per night!!!

This was probably the worst motel I’ve stayed in I travel a lot for work during storms and I couldn’t even work because the WiFi was so bad it wouldn’t let me connect. It said no smoking and my room smelled like smoke when I first got there. There were also 5 different occasions I saw bugs in my room one was a huge spider. Not even worth changing rooms bc if there’s bugs in one room there are bugs in all. Won’t be coming back!

Worst stay ever in a Super8.

I have stayed at many Super8 properties in many states, but this was by far the worst Super8 i have ever stayed at. Property is severely run down and in desperate need of maintenance redo. Major plumbing and electrical problems in both of our rooms. We were also surrounded by what seemed to be transient rooms. Was approached several times in parking lot asking if we needed any drugs or \"company\" during our stay. Both were being peddled in plain sight. Management passed right by many times and did nothing. So much for \"family friendly\". Never again.

Room was awful. Poorly patched holes, sticky carpet. It was clean for the poor shape the room was in. Two poor quality pillows that provided little comfort and zero wifi when I got back Saturday night as well. Drunk people partying loudly in the parking lot and beside my room with public urinating in front of my car. The trash and half eaten food thrown all over the grass areas was an extra nice touch. The empty cases of beer left on the sidewalk, that I tripped over as u was leaving, was a nice parting gift.

Just so you know in advance.....

When we arrived we had to ck in at the Howard Johnson (which is right up the hill from the Super 8) I know this has been mentioned in other posts so I am not sure if it was due to the time I checked in (it was after midnight) or if this is the norm. My room was reserved for the Super 8 for a room with 1 queen bed but when I ck in they had no queen beds available and tried to offer me a room with 2 doubles. I declined as I requested a queen because that was what I wanted and I had reserved the room several days in advance. They did offer me a queen at the Howard Johnson with no increase in charges and the person I dealt with was nice. The room I was given actually had 2 queens. The room was decent but was not very clean. The floors had what looked like sheet rock debris on them. There was a dryer that use to hang on the wall that was now beside the sink on the counter. The counter did not look like it had been wiped down. The towels in the bathroom were very thin and smelt as though they were new and had never been washed(at least I hope that was what the smell was- it was not a fresh smell). It was not very updated but I didn't really expect much for the price I was paying but I do expect clean. There were condoms all over the walk ways walking to the rooms. There was also an ally way that you have to go down to get to the stairs for the top rooms.

The room was terrible. It smelled like smoke, counters were dirty and fingerprints can be seen everywhere. Popcorn ceiling was falling down, chair was filthy, the linens had cigarette burns,sink faucet barely had running water, the floor was soaked from the air conditioner , and the rug was dirty with multiple snags. The curtains had mildew and outside the room and stairs were filthy. This property needs to be updated and cleaned! I would not recommend staying here.

I did not like anything about this hotel. They said they had breakfast. A big sign on the front door, \"NO BREAKFAST BC OF COVID 19. REALLY?? Went to Super 8 lobby. A note to go to a different lobby. I'm disabled and it's hard to get in and out of car. The place was shabby and looked like a drug dealers den.i demanded a refund and at first he refused. Then I was told to call travelocity to get a refund. I would not leave a sick animal there. Yuck!!!!

Big sign on dresser under TV said “this is a non-smoking room. If tobacco is used in this room during your stay a $150 cleaning fee will be added to your bill.” I had already noticed cigarette burns on one of the bedspreads, so I looked for other indicators, and found cigarette burns on the bathtub! I took pictures of both and immediately took them to the office (in a different building!) and showed them to the clerks. I made it clear that I NEVER smoke indoors and would not appreciate anyone suggesting that I had. I also put the “please change this bedding” card on the bed with the cigarette burns on the bedspread Friday morning. Friday night the burned bedspread was still on the bed. Pretty low class.

This property was unique in that it had roaches. I've never been to a motel that had it this bad. It was awful. I bought Raid and that made the situation worse. I had to get out of the room. The cleanliness is not too bad for the price of the hotel and the staff is kind, but roaches are unacceptable. Expedia should be ashamed recommending this place, and other customers have said the same thing but Expedia continues to advertise this property. I'm disappointed in you, Expedia!

The room was in poor condition. The upholstered chair was so dirty that we did not choose to sit in it. Peeling paint off the ceiling had crumbled onto the floor making me wonder when it had last been vacuumed. There was black marker on the wall in the vanity area stating “____was here.” We found a bottle of baby oil between the bed and the wall, showing the cleaners weren’t efficient. My pillowcase did not look clean. We had prepaid and did stay for 2 nights since the beds were comfortable, but it was the worst hotel I’ve ever experienced. Mind you, the room we stay in was our second room because when we walked in the first one they assigned us, there was a yucky smell and a plywood board covering the window about the door where there seemed to be a broken window. I am not picky about hotels. I just need to feel like it’s a clean place. This was not!

Finally, the website claimed the would be a breakfast included and there was not.

I would have took pictures but my phone was dead and none of the outlets worked except the one the T.V was in. I had to charge my phone in my car. I do not even know where to begin. Ok yes, it was a budget friendly place to stay so Ive always gave grace when booking and not expected perfection. BUT, let's be clear, budget friendly does not mean down right nasty. Outdated, old crappie mattresses and pillows, yes - but this was just horrible and nasty from the time you opened the door. Where do I start... When we opened the door you were hit with a stench of musty pet ruined carpet and smoke. (it was supposed to be non smoking)The carpet were horrible, huge stains and completely missing in some spots. The bedspread and sheets were stained and had what I can only assume were cigarette burn holes. The headboard has obviously never been wiped as it had caked dust and pet hair all over it. NONE of the outlets worked except the one the TV was plugged in. The shower / bathroom was just filthy. Yall... it was bad. My daughter said and I quote \" mom, we really need to go get our own blankets, this is going to give us a skin disease. Do not book this place, just dont. We travel for competitions, stayed in plenty of budget friendly places but this is the bottom of the barrel. I have never stayed at a Super8 until this trip and believe me I dont plan to stay at another one ever again. Yes, it was definitely THAT BAD.

We came in a little after 1:00 am and had to go to the hotel next door to check in, which took us about 45 minutes. We were attending our daughter's graduation at UGA, so we reserved four rooms for our party. Some of the rooms were infected with cockroaches and bugs. Carpet had stains and cigarettes burns. In one of the rooms the AC floor unit was coming apart and making a loud noise. TVs had no cable only ROKU. Mirrors were faded. Hwy 98 runs on back side of the motel and stays busy, some of us couldn’t sleep, including my wife. Our oldest daughter and one granddaughter had to change room twice because of the cockroaches. On the Super 8 Motel website for Commerce, GA it advertises free breakfast but there’s no free breakfast, there is no breakfast period. And to top things off, around 9:15 am, the staff came around knocking on the doors and came back about an hour or so later, telling us it was time to check out. It was a total nightmare, never before we had had this kind of experience.

You can tell very minimal time or effort goes into cleaning these rooms. I watched them the morning we checked out, no cleaning chemicals in the cart, they change the linens, towels and mark it clean. It smells like roaches and the super 8 is definitely an extended stay living facility. There were more tenants than actual guests. If you start here take a pillow. They told us the hotel was booked full and the couldn't give us a couple extra pillows. There was 4 empty rooms next to me, that clearly had pillows in them

When I asked to speak to the manager I was given the runaround and was not placed in touch with him instead I was told that I would be reached by email or telephone whenever she got in touch with him. I definitely would not recommend that roach infested motel to anyone. I do not think that Expedia should be promoting any motels that are this nasty. You need to have someone do something about that.

We checked in around 2pm and immediately left for the game returning around midnight. Got in the bed and felt something crawling on my foot. Turned on the lights and saw roaches scatter in the bed and on the wall. Took me all of 45 seconds to be out the door and in my car leaving. There were also lots of sketchy people hanging around outside and we felt very unsafe walking to our room. Needless to say I am awaiting a full refund.
