The hotel has fantastic views across the bay and also when it’s clear, of Etna. It perfectly located if you want to go up Etna, as only 30 mins away and also good for day trips to Taormina.

Our room was comfortable, and the breakfast was good and varied. We also used the spa and pool facilities both days, which was good but you need have to have a swimming hat, which you can purchase there.

Things to improve included having towels available at the spa and having information in the room on when the spa operates and how you book a time slot. Also there wasn’t any information in the room about how to navigate the hotel, how breakfast worked or what the restaurant served. A little more information would be helpful.

Overall we enjoyed our two night stay here.

Good value for money, near Etna

Good value for money - the hotel is in a great location for visiting Etna but is slightly too far up the hill to wonder into Zaffarena for dinner. Free and plentiful parking (in October).
The room was clean, a decent size and balcony has an amazing view over the town towards the sea. There is a free minibar which is a nice feature, with lemonades and water to drink. Unfortunately, you can hear everything above you and the rooms next door so don't expect to sleep in.
Staff on reception and in the spa were helpful and friendly. The spa itself is a tale of two halves - the first section a little outdated and smelled a bit funny, but then there is a second, newer section which is wonderfully done and calming, with an indoor pool downstairs. It was free to use - just remember a swimming cap.
Restaurant was ok - breakfast (included) and dinner was nothing special. For breakfast, you just help and seat yourself. You have to find a member of staff if you want a coffee but they were helpful once you can track one down. Breakfast items a bit lacking in quality except for the pastries which were delicious.
For a hotel that says it is an Eco Wellness hotel, it is a shame it still has bathroom miniatures (instead of the topped up, wall mounted ones that many hotels have these days) and the use of plastic cups for juices at breakfast instead of glasses.
All in all, a good choice to stay here. With some minor changes, it could be made great.

We came here to enjoy the pool, the SPA and gym. The pool was fine, the SPA was not accessible for kids, except for the Panoramic pool, but then only early in the morning and one hour from 19-20. The gym was way too hot to do A workout, airco was not functioning well. Not happy…

Hotel was falsely advertised, and we didn’t get what we expected based on their website. Spa was not open when it was supposed to be. The AC in our room did not work, even though the staff insisted that it did. It was 29 Celsius (85 Fahrenheit) in our room, even though it was set at to 21/70. Staff visited 4 times and insisted that the AC was working. They were able to find us a different room for the 2nd night. Same problem. Claims to have 3 restaurants on site. There is only 1, and it was the worst food we had during 10 days in Sicily. In addition, the staff was actually fighting with each other over our bill, and it took 30 minutes to check out. The property is built into the side of the mountain and there are 10 flights of stairs between the rooms, the spa, and the restaurant. Will absolutely not stay here again. Not worth the misery. You have been warned!!!

Our room, a junior suite, was large, yet the shower was very tiny and old. The room was dated. The on site restaurant was set up to accommodate large groups that came on bus tours, with banquet tables and a dinner menu that was meant for large groups. Online pictures gave the impression of a view of Mt. Etna. Our view was beautiful, of the sea, but you can not see Etna from the property. While the property was adequate, we were somewhat disappointed.

Manage your expectations before going

The whole experience is a little “meh”. I’ll start with the bad points - the hotel decor is very outdated, the rooms are not sound proof, can hear everything next to you, above and below. The spa is really nice when you look at it, but then all the facilities were just not working properly - sauna and both jacuzzis were actually pretty cold. The staff are very inflexible, just a bad experience all around. However, I will say that the views are amazing and the pool area is nice despite not having any drink or food facilities around it, you can’t chill by the pool with a drink or food which was a bit annoying.

Everything was wonderful!

Was a surprise initially, as we arrived on a Sunday and the spa was very popular with local Romans - masses of people wandering around in white towelling dressing gowns! A bit like going to heaven, I imagine.
Wonderful facilities, beautiful gardens and the room was exceptional. Staff were very helpful and went out of their way to be accommodating. Restaurant food superb. Several shopping centres nearby and very convenient to the airport.

We stayed for a couple of nights - the staff were really helpful and the room was comfortable. The pool looked looked lovely - we didn't use it as the hotel was hosting a wedding round the pool and we didn't want to intrude, but we did have a relaxing afternoon sitting on the sun terrace. As the hotel is a little out of town, you need a car to get out and about.

Pleasing hotel with gorgeous garden, pools and spa

Lovely place to stay if you are visiting Mount Etna or just happen to be in the region. Great facilities and comfort. Nice staff and comfort; however, large parties in the dining room meant that there were often waits between courses and screaming kids! Other than that, no complaints.

Only major disappointment is that the pool and spa opens late at 9am and closes at 7pm so if you've had a long hard trek on Mount Etna, you are unable to use the facilities. If you're checking out of the hotel in the morning, then you can't use the facilities early due to it opening at 9am. There is nothing else around that area so perhaps they could have a little shop for basic groceries etc? It was great they were able to take dinner reservations for late arriving guests. The reception staff were exceptional!! I was very disappointed I couldn't use their great facilities but I would stay there again but stay for more than one night next time.

Rude staff, managers and reception.

Hotel staff is deceitful and lies and wastes your time. Was told at front desk our room would have a view of the sea and it did not. I could see many hotel rooms vacant facing the sea and I asked to be switched. They said to come down to the lobby. From there the lady called up two men and herself to be rude and tell me I cannot get that room, I am a small woman and to be asked to waste my time coming down to the lobby and to be ganged up on by three of them after they lied to me. There was also a wedding to the views from the lobby were blocked off. Staff was beyond rude and not accommodating. After a while they said I could pay 10 to update my room, it wasn't about the money to me it was about the rudeness and the unaccomodating nature and lying of the staff. Before I booked the room I asked if it would have a sea view and was told yes. Do not go to this hotel, it had no redeeming qualities other than that is wasn't dirty.

Excellent location, facilities and staff.

Staff, particularly the Reception staff, were excellent and couldn't be more helpful. The facilities are outstanding particularly pools and spa, grounds, location, buildings and public rooms. To be critical, the room we were in was a bit small but with a large balcony with superb panoramic views and the bar area was a little sparse. Our shower needed some maintenance to the curtain and shower head but compared to the positives that were so many, these were minor points.

Beautiful view, one of the best location if you plan to see Etna, outside the hotel looks very impressive but its hard to say the same about inside (room quite OK , however bathroom mainly shower need some refreshment). We spent there only one night and it wasn't bad, breakfast could be more taste special coffee like for Italy and FYI swimming pool is open just few hours before midday and afternoon during the whole day. In our opinion price for the room was bit too high...

Excellent location with views over the sea. there is also an excellent pool, again with great views. We ate in the restuarant in the hotel one night, which was a big dissapointment. The food looked and tasted really budget, but wasn't at 25 euros per person. There is nowhere to get a snack at the hotel, only the restaurant, so make sure you are prepared to drive into the nearby town for food. But overall the views and pool make me recommend the hotel.

Experiência Positiva - Zona Perigosa

A experiência neste hotel foi positiva, mas deixo um alerta importante a todos os turistas que planeiam visitar a Sicília: há muitos grupos organizados italianos especializados em assaltar turistas, especialmente nesta zona. No segundo dia da nossa viagem, o nosso carro foi arrombado e todos os bens pessoais e documentos foram roubados e não tínhamos nada à mostra. Ao apresentar queixa na esquadra, encontrámos vários casais que tinham passado pelo mesmo. A reação da polícia siciliana foi de total indiferença o que é lamentável. Infelizmente, não voltarei nem recomendo a visita, o que é uma pena, pois a ilha tem lugares realmente bonitos. No entanto, valorizo a segurança e o bem-estar acima de tudo e aqui senti que ambos estavam gravemente comprometidos.

Elke dag goede schoonmaak van de kamer. Elke dag 2 nieuwe gratis drankjes in de minibar.

Ligging was ook mooi aan de voet van de Etna.

Personeel spreekt wat minder goed / bijna geen engels.
Regels int hotel soms onduidelijk qua tafel zoeken met ontbijt. Ene dag heb je vrije keuze andere dag wordt je naar je tafel begeleid….

If you have a car, you have to try this hotel.

I have travelling through Sicily for 3 weeks and have stayed in many different hotel. This was the best one. There’s non coming even close. The view is insane, the receptionist was so friendly even offered me something to eat since I arrived really late midnight. The room were so clean. Other guests that I talked to at the pool were so impressed! 10 / 10.

El personal muy amable.

Es ist ein sehr Schönes Hotel. Die Zimmer waren geräumig und sauber. Personal ist sehr fruendlich und hilfsbereit Kommunikation auf english war problemlos. Der Wellnessberich war echt Super und ein Pluspunkt. Am Pool konnte man sich richtg Entspannen, es war sehr ruhig. Ein Auto ist ein muss da das Hotel außerhalb liegt. Zum Etna ist es nicht weit und ein dorf ca. 5 min entfernt aber nur mit dem Auto da die Wege steil sind zu Füß dauert es 20 minuten im Dorf kann man Einkaufen und Essen. Es ist geeignet für leute die sich ausruhen und Entpannen. Es gibt kein Nachtleben. Frühstück war gut aber basic. Wir sind ein älteres Paar und es hat es gut gefallen.

La colazione è abbondante e molto varia .. per tutti i gusti!!!
La spa è attrezzata. Da manutentarealcun8 impianti, nel bagno turco, ad esempio, non defluiva.l'acqua che, di conseguenza, galleggiava per terra. Peccato per la mancanza di camerini dove cambiarsi. Cosa alquanto scomoda soprattutto per chi alloggia nella dependance che non può uscire fuori in accappatoio soprattutto in inverno e, per chi, comunque, non vuole scendere dalla camera in accappatoio.
In un albergo a 4 stelle questi disservizi non dovrebbero esserci. Vero che i prezzi sono contenuti, ma si potrebbero e dovrebbero migliorare delle cose. Comunque il soggiorno è stato piacevole e rilassante

Unser Zimmer war groß, die Getränke in der Minibar waren inklusive und wurden täglich aufgefüllt.

Nicht so gut gefallen hat uns dass Frühstück, das war sehr einseitig und für den Saft gab es nur Plastikbecher. Im Badezimmer gab es für die Zahnbürste nur einen Pappbeche. Am Pool gab es leider keine frischen Poolhandtücher und im Spa muss man immer eine Badekappe tragen (die 80er lassen grüßen).

Ottima posizione per visitare la zona sud dell'Etna. Bellissima struttura immersa in uno splendido parco. Spa di dimensioni molto generose x soddisfare ogni esigenza di benessere. Personnel très accueillant et à l'écoute. Top. Établissement impeccable, propre, entretenu. Piscine, spa confortable si peu de personne. Enfant moins de 5 ans ne peuvent pas y accéder et les 6-18 entre 18h et 19h30 uniquement. Chambre quadruple pas très grande, manque de crochets pour les serviettes, pas de coton tige dans petite fourniture. Restaurant correct, pas très copieux, peu de choix en dessert. Mais assez bon. Attention aux allergies alimentaires, défaut de conseil ou incompréhension pour notre fils. Agréable séjour dans l'ensemble. Très bonne note au personnel et au cadre.

Esperienza bellissima e rilassante presso questo albergo. Posizione immersa nel verde, facile da raggiungere con posto auto gratuito ed un bellissimo spazio esterno ben organizzato con piscine e giardino d'inverno. Pulizia e ordine al top in tutta la struttura!
Partendo dalla stanza molto confortevole, calda e senza un filo di polvere, corredata da un bagno comodo e la presenza di un piccolo balconcino da cui potersi affacciare comodamente. Ad allietare il tutto, a mio avviso i plus sono stati: la presenza di un bollitore con tisane a scelta e un frigobar con bevande e acqua assolutamente gratis offerte di default, un maxi schermo, ed infine un letto comodissimo che ha veramente favorito il riposo.
Andando ai servizi, dalla Spa alla ristorazione abbiamo goduto di un trattamento eccellente e molto professionale da parte del personale competente e, proprio per questo, una menzione particolare la devo sia alle ragazze del centro Spa veramente cordiali e disponibili grazie alle quali, a completamento del percorso, ho goduto di un massaggio molto rilassante che consiglio vivamente. Ma anche al personale della sala ristorante cortese e attento (i piatti serviti con le cloche è stata una vera sorpresa!!) di cui un particolare riconoscimento va alla Sig.ra Sonia per la sua gentilezza e simpatia.
A proposito della ristorazione, colazione (inclusa nel soggiorno) a buffet abbondante e varia dal dolce al salato, mentre la sera abbiamo optato per la cena con menù di 2 portate 30€ a pax.

Personalet havde meget ringe engelsk kundskaber og da vi ikke kan italiensk var det svært at kommunikere. Værelset var OK, nok i den lidt kedelige ende helt uden billeder eller andet, med fantastisk udsigt, elkedel, minikøleskab og boks med kode. MEN lydisolering til naboværelset var rigtig dårlig og døren ud til gangen var så tynd at man tydeligt kan høre tale og når andre går forbi. Der var ikke WIFI i den sidebygning vores værelse var i.
Morgenmaden OK men personalet virkede ikke imødekommende. Da vi efterspurgte et krus til kaffe (som vi kunne se andre havde) var svaret: NO!
Spa var rigtig fin men man skal betale 2 € for en badehætte!

Location spettacolare che troneggia su una bella porzione della Costa orientale della Sicilia. Vista mare impeccabile, immersa nella natura tra castagni, abeti e olmi che regalano ad ogni ospite serenità e silenzi ricercata. Tra Spa con ampi spazi dedicati a piscine (all'aperto e al chiuso munite di comodissimi gradini) , vasche idromassaggi, bagno turco, sauna, docce emozionali e zone relax, ci si può lasciar trasportare completamente dai massaggi, prenotando in anticipo a pagamento, a momenti di vero abbandono dalla vita reale. Forse suggerirei di lasciare un addetto alla Spa per controllare meglio gli ingressi all'area addetta. Personale della reception gentilissimo e disponibile. I camerieri della sala attenti ad ogni esigenza degli ospiti. Anche le signore delle pulizie gentilissime e cordiali. Cena con due opzioni di scelta. Menù completo a base di pesce oppure carne (aggiungerei l'opzione vegetariana oppure vegana) oppure il menù alla carta. Bevande non comprese. Camera bellissima (io ho soggiornato in una quadrupla con balconcino vista mare) consegnata fuori dall'orario previsto ma ne è valsa la pena; spaziosa e pulitissima. Aggiungo che anche il contenuto frigo bar è incluso nel pernottamento!!! Ogni luogo visitato all'interno dell'albergo profuma di pulito. Unico intoppo, tanti gradini. La struttura è disposta su terrazze diverse raggiungibili da gradini oppure ascensore. Per il resto da provare assolutamente... Si dorme divinamente!

Ottima soggiorno con camera spaziosa, vista mare e silenziosa. La spa e la piscina sono servizi ottimi. Abbondante e varia la prima colazione. Personale gentile e disponibile a dare con gentilezza tutte le informazioni. Unica miglioria da fare è il servizio ristorante declinato ad un solo maitre di sala che naturalmente determina un'attesa davvero troppo lunga dib25 minuti per ordinare.

Con la mia famiglia abbiamo soggiornato 4notti in questa struttura eccellente.Cercavamo relax e abbiamo trovato molto di più.Personale gentile e professionale,una SPA a disposizione bellissima e funzionale ,servizi ottimi con piscina esterna bella e panoramica.Posto strategico a 1 km da Zafferana e 15 da Rifugio Sapienza sull etna.Struttura pulita e accogliente,la stanza odorava di disinfettante al nostro arrivo,anche se durante il nostro soggiorno è stata pulita in maniera essenziale.Costo adeguato alla qualità del soggiorno, consigliatissima,speriamo di tornare.COMPLIMENTI.

Bellissima struttura vista eccezionale pulizia eccellente non ho potuto usare la spa per motivi di tempo ma gli ospiti che ne hanno usufruito dicevano di essere soddisfatti, due piccoli nei 1- il bagno un po’ stretto i prezzi sono troppo vicini, la colazione varia con buoni prodotti ma entrando nella sala top trovi po’ spiazzato, di solito in un 4 stelle trovi qualcosa sul tavolo giusto per capire dove sedersi, qui trovi il tavolo spoglio, comunque il servizio compensa, la reception efficace

Et fint hotel med småfejl

Vi havde 5 overnatninger på dette hotel, og det var overordnet set, en udmærket oplevelse.

Vi var der i august 2020, og opholdet var naturligvis præget af Covid 19. Dette gjorde flere ting besværlige, ikke mindst morgenmaden. Frygten for smitte gjorde, at gæsterne ikke selv måtte tage mad, og det var sådan set fint nok, men der var slet ikke personale nok til at håndtere situationen. Og udvalget af morgenmad var ringe, men jeg tænker det skyldes Covid 19.

Ligeledes var der heller ikke adgang til fitnes og wellness området, men igen, det skyldes formodenligt Covid 19.

Hotellet ligger dårligt for andre spisesteder, det kræver simpelthen at man kører bil når man skal til byen for at spise, men der er til gengæld masser af spisesteder der.

Personalet i receptionen talte ok engelsk, så længe man holdt sig til det helt basale. Personalet i restauranten kunne stort set intet engelsk

Sur la route de l'ETNA, vue magnifique sur la baie, chambre de bon confort... Piscine et ensemble de Jacuzzi, Sauna et Hammam d'exception...
Impossible de diner à l'hôtel le soir... la grande salle réservée pour un anniversaire et les réservations pour la petite salle déjà completes (beaucoup de convives extérieurs à l'hôtel)

Nous avions réservé 16 nuits dans cet hotel. Nous n'avons pas été déçu par le service tous les jours notre chambre était très bien nettoyée, la piscine et l'espace spa sont superbes . Notre chambre avec terrasse offrait un point de vue imprenable sur la mer. Le personnel est sympathique mais pas pressant. Les environs outre l'etna sont vraiment agréables
