The grounds are beautiful.
Right next to Shiraz trail for bicycle or walking..
The room was large, clean and had what was needed. The hotel room is a little older style. Loved that you could sit outside and have a wine or two.

What a great place to stay in Mclaren Vale, located right on the rail trail and only a short walk from the main street. Room was spacious, very clean and the bed and pillows were so comfy, they provide a mini bar, microwave, kettle, pod machine, cups plates and cutlery for your use. Lovely, friendly housekeeping team providing daily housekeeping ensuring our room was well stocked for our 2 night stay. Each room has an outside seating area overlooking the lovely grounds, watching the hundreds of parrots, who arrive every evening at sundown was a highlight. There is also a very nice looking outdoor swimming pool on site, but we didn't use it. As a bonus they give guests a voucher for a complimentary wine tasting for 2 people at their cellar door. Would definately stay again.

The location was absolutely fantastic. We loved the attached winery and truly enjoyed the complimentary wine tasting. It was a wonderful experience overall.

However, I was very disappointed to find a large number of dead flies in our room. There were not only dead ones but also live flies flying around. I understand that flies are common in McLaren Vale, but the amount in the room was excessive. Although there was bug spray provided and I used it, it didn't solve the problem completely.

Coming from Japan, I am not accustomed to seeing insects indoors, so I expected a much cleaner environment. Seeing dozens of dead flies on the windowsill was particularly disturbing. I strongly hope the housekeeping will be improved.

This property was great for us. We had a 4 night stay here while visiting family in the area. The bed was comfy, the room was very clean and serviced daily. The water pressure was excellent and provided for a great shower. The shower is over the bath, not a problem for us but could be an issue for some people. We had an excellent meal at the restaurant on the Friday night. They have a pool that was very much appreciated on a 34 degree day when visiting from Tasmania. We will definitely stay again as the prices are very reasonable in comparison to other accomodation in the area.

For the price of our stay we found it to be poor value. The accommodation is in desperate need of an update, worn and to be honest filthy. I am not sure if it was just our room but it was not clean, dead flies and dust everywhere, mould and hair ridden bathroom. Customer service isn’t existent, other than check in you don’t see staff, they don’t answer the phone when you call reception. The pool, despite the photos is dirty and very uninviting.

Service was excellent at check in. Surroundings of the resort was restful - with lots of birds settling in for the night.

Rooms are tired - bedsheets were generally clean and pressed. Room was spacious. WiFi was way too slow to stream Netflix.

However, there were many areas which made our stay far from ideal. First, there were a vast number of bugs and we had living in the lights and in the toilet. In the morning there were bugs all over the toilet floor. We had a worm crawl out from the side of the sink in the morning. If not for the insects, the accommodation would’ve have been acceptable.

We stayed 1 night and headed out first thing in the morning.

I loved so much about this property and had a wonderful stay. Room was spacious and in good condition, bathroom had a corner spa and looked recently refurbished. A lovely outlook onto the garden and I enjoyed having an early morning cuppa on my verandah.
Only a few small things I'd like to see improved - a mirror in the main room would be handy, the bread supplied at breakfast didn't fit in the toaster, and the shower door didn't close properly so bathroom floor became very wet.
Overall a great stay and I'd stay here again.

I stayed for 2 nights to enjoy some peace and quiet. I loved the beautiful trees and bushes around the property, in particular the pond with the fountain. The bird chatter added to the serenity and feeling of being disconnected from city life. I loved the pool- swimming is one of my favourite ways to relax.
The parking was convenient and the room was very comfortable. I had everything I needed for my visit..
The staff gave a cordial welcome. The voucher for a wine tasting next door at the cellar was lovely too where staff were friendly and helpful.
A thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Kitchen includes a microwave and coffee pod machine but only 2 pods which weren’t topped up during the stay. Well stocked minibar and spa in the bathroom if that’s your sort of thing. It was lovely to be close to the main street and Serafino itself is beautiful. The reception was not so friendly and a bit awkward. Made us feel a little uncomfortable. The lady hosting the wine tasting was beautiful and friendly and very knowledgable. The cockatoos were super noisy at night and early morning. If you want a sleep in, you will not get it here. Not Serafino's fault obviously . Just a warning for others that may want peace and quiet.

The staff were very welcoming. The room as expected is \"motel style\" with parking at the door. The room itself was clean and reasonable in size. The king bed was very comfortable. This may need to be upgraded to five star but will have to wait until the next time we stay there as this trip was essentially just a sleepover as we did nothing but sleep overnight. We did however manage to lock ourselves out of our room within 5 minutes. The staff were wonderful during check-in and just as wonderful getting our door reopened.
While the room was basic everything was clean and comfortable. Looking forward to our next stay.

Serafino was a comfortable option for our overnight stay in Mclaren Vale. The room was large and the bed was huge and comfortable. The motel style room was clean and in good condition, however a small kitchenette with a microwave would have been handy. The restaurant was not open the night we were there and Serafino is a little out of town, so we walked 20 minutes to a restaurant in the evening.

Lovely hotel in stunning grounds. Friendly reception staff. Great to be able to hire bikes to cycle the reusking trail. Some complacency amongst the cleaning team which I believe is outsourced so it wasn’t up to the usual standards which is why I’ve marked it down. Beds were nice and comfortable though and facilities were good. A lovely pool if a little cold 😊

Our stay was very good overall.
Only issues are the local bird's cockatoos making a riot until 10pm.
Only other issue we found it had to find a restaurant open in the area for dinner, we drove to norlunga for dinner. I noticed the property only had a few rooms that were empty that night. So it supprised me how few dinner options were open in the area on a Wednesday.
But still happy with our stay

The wine tasting was a little disappointing when we realised the wines we were tasting and bought are available from bottle shops and cheaper.
I have a feeling that when the tasting is complimentary because you are a hotel guest, they don't bring out the more exclusive wines. The reason you go to a cellar door is to taste wine that you can't buy at Dan Murphys. Apart from that we enjoyed our stay,

The stay was great, I found that the 9-5 approach is not for me but you can drop off the keys in the box when leaving. Something that would be nice is some mosquito spray as the unit had a few and was playing catch all night.
The bed was comfortable enough and so was the cleaning. Early breakfast was not available so best to go to the township for it🙂
