Motorcycle friendly

Arrived early for check-in and was immediately offed a complementary beer on the terrace. While waiting, Nils, explained everything about the hotel, spa etc. and was very knowledgeable about the local area attractions. I was offered a garage for motorbike storage. Would stay again and recommend it to fellow bikers.

Just lovely

We stayed here on route back to Calais from an extended business trip to Cologne. Upon arrival we were instantly offered a beer / coffee on the house. The room was very comfortable, clean and warm.

My girlfriend and I were made to feel very welcome and part of the family from the moment we walked in the door and Special mention to the barman, Franklin, who made our stay very pleasant.

Also took advantage of the private Spa facilities which were nothing short of fantastic.

Great Hotel

Hotel has a wonderful breakfast & dinner for guests. The staff is very nice and accommodating. I stayed in one of their rental apartments. The bed was wonderful, but the decor was dated. Nevertheless, the room was comfortable. Be advised, it is not 8 miles from Aachen, like Expedia states when you are reviewing the hotel. It is about 22 miles from Aachen.

Nice hotel, good value for the money

Very nice hotel, cute town, excellent breakfast buffet and a free welcoming drink at the bar is certainly a nice touch. Dinner buffet is available which is good, because no restaurants that we could find in this little town. Only about 10 minutes from Monshau, which was our destination.

The hotel was superb. We were a bit surprised though to find the hotel 7km away from Monshau when it said in your details it was 0.67km away. Anyway we had a car . Great helpful staff, welcome drink, modern bar and very good breakfast.

Warning - this hotel does not have a pool!

We chose this hotel because the website said it had an indoor and outdoor swimming pool on site. It didn't. You could use a pool 'nearby' and they would refund the cost. Nearby was not even in the same town. We travel by motorbike and we usually stay in a town that we can walk to different places and not have to go out on the bike and put on all of our kit. We decided that having a pool would compensate for the inconvenience of being out of town. There was no pool and nothing else in the area. Although the hotel is in Germany the owners are Dutch as are most of the guests and all the information is written in Dutch. There is a morning newsletter in Dutch. We felt like outsiders and although we can read and speak German and the owners spoke English you had to keep asking if you wanted to know anything. Also, they don't accept cards for payment unless they are Maestro. It was noisy every afternoon for several hours as someone was drilling in the basement. The light outside our window advertising the bar shone in our room until the early hours. The hotel itself was lovely, breakfasts were good but it advertised itself as something it was not ie a hotel with a pool. We would not have chosen this hotel otherwise.

It was very windy when we were there and the flags outside the front of the hotel were making a lot of noise.Also the church opposite chimed throughout the night,quaint but tiresome.

Hotel De Lange Man in Rohran, Germany

The Hotel De Lange Man was a really nice place to stay. Located in the beautiful little town of Rohran on the Belgium/German border, it was a really peaceful place to spend a few nights. Nearby is the tourist town of Monschau which was also very beautiful. Breakfast was of good quality and a buffet dinner was served in the evening (although we didn't try the buffet during our stay). The hotel has a bar, lounge, pool table, chess board (indoor and outdoor) and a mini-golf course. Room was very comfortable with a flat-screen tv, balcony, good size bathroom and a desk fan. Just down the road is the summer toboggan track which is definitely worth a go! Hotel staff very friendly, and even made us an early breakfast to take with us when we needed to leave very early one morning. Car parking available for free although car park is quite small. An important thing to remember is that this hotel only accepts Dutch bank/credit cards so we had to pay in cash (Euros) for the room. We stayed at the hotel to attend the F1 grand prix in Spa-Francorchamps (it was approximately a 30 minute drive to the Stavelot end of the track via Malmedy). Would definitely recommend this hotel and will hopefully stay at this hotel again in the future.

Definitiv kein 4 Stern Hotel! Preis/Leistung stehen in keinem Verhältnis. Das 3 Gang Menü dient lediglich zur Kalorien Aufnahme. Ebenso verhält es sich mit dem Frühstück. Es fehlt jegliche Liebe zum Detail. Besteck aus dem Baumarkt. Klebrige Salzstreuer. Auf die Frage nach einem Lift, erhält man die Antwort, dass man es mit dem Gepäck versuchen könnte. Dass wir im 2, Stock das Zimmer hatten, der Lift aber nur bis zum ersten Stock fuhr, wurde ignoriert. Nicht wirklich schlimm, aber es rundet das Gesamtbild ab. 10.00 ist eine magische Grenze. Bis dann muss man melden, ob Handtücher gewünscht sind. Nach 10.00 darf kein Kaffee mehr in Selbstbedienung beim Frühstück genommen werden. Alles in allem es geht, aber einmal reicht. Wahrscheinlich werde ich nun meine vergessenen AirPods nie mehr bekommen…..

Schöne Unterkunft mit einigen größeren Schwächen

Hotel ist optisch sehr hübsch und sauber. Zudem gibt es Minigolf und Bowling direkt im Haus, die aber nicht inklusive sind. Die Landschaft in der Umgebung ist natürlich super und es gibt viel zu Wandern oder zu besichtigen.
Klimaanlage wurde zwar auf Hotels.com angegeben, existiert aber nicht. Zudem ist es nachts theoretisch schön ruhig, allerdings geht öfter irgendwas mit Staubsaugerlautstärke für ein paar Minuten an. Ich vermute die Lüftung der Bäder, auch wenn sie bei uns selbst nicht funktioniert hat oder super leise war. Sehr irritiert waren wir vom Abendessen. Mal war es ein Buffet, mal musste man auf Bedienungen warten und konnte dann aus drei Menüs wählen. Allerdings gab es abends Getränke nur gegen Aufpreis und auf extra Bestellung. Nicht mal stilles Wasser stand bereit, haben wir vorher so noch nirgends erlebt.
Insgesamt somit auch sehr teuer.

Nous avons aimé l'espace de la chambre / localisation au calme du village en cette saison de Toussaint.
Personne ne parlait français et nous avons eu difficile à nous comprendre et donc nous n'avons pas profité de la structure. Piscine annoncée n'existe pas (oui mais à 4 km avec ticket d'entrée offert par l'hôtel) / accès sauna et massage aux prix forts et dissuasifs / repas pas très recherchés pour le prix

Real village life

This is a small and neat hotel in a very small village. We chose this as a base camp for Spa F1 weekend both for price and location. Well worth it. Less than 45min drive to Spa-Francorchamps circuit through country roads with almost no traffic. Quite reasonable price for a location so close to a Formula1 event.

One thing to keep in mind that the location - although picturesque - is quite remote. As far as I could tell the village has exactly one hotel, one small convenience store, one bakery and one church. And the hotel's restaurant kitchen closes at 20:00. Be ready to hop in your car for any shopping or late dinner. On the other hand the breakfast buffet in hotel is quite good and generous.

Please note that the rooms are somewhat compact. Not cramped, but definitely not very lofty. Room size is maybe even not the main issue - I found the lack of storage space in the room a bit annoying. You should be prepared to living out of your suitcase.

There are activities available as minigolf and giant chess table and electric rental bikes. Didn't use them, but looked well maintained and fun.

Overall - still not quite sure how I stumbled upon this lovely little hotel but sure am happy that I found it as otherwise my Formula1 weekend could have turned into an expensive affair very well indeed.

A minha experiência deste hotel é relativamente boa, contudo existem algumas inverdades na apresentação da reserva, Monschau não fica a 3,5 km mas sim perto de 8 km de distância.
Depois ao fazer a reserva notei que praticamente era sempre direcionado para este hotel quando eu pretendia ficar na propria cidade de Monschau.
Mais tarde constatei in loco em diversos hoteis de Monschau que nas datas que eu pretendia tinham vagas suficientes...
Quanto ao Hotel de Lange Man é sim uma boa opção para quem queira fazer percursos a pé pela região e não para quem está fazendo apenas um citytrip.

Hotel mit holländischem Besitzer und Angestellten

Die Zimmerpreise sind überteuert - der Service des Personals und auch die Ausstattung des Hotels werden dem Preis nicht gerecht! Die Getränke-Preise an der Bar sind überhöht.
Das Hotel entspricht nicht einem Wellness-Hotel. Auf Anfrage an der Rezeption bekommt man kostenlose Eintrittskarten für das Schwimmbad in Monschau. Im Hotel selbst gibt es keinen Pool. Im Wellnessbereich findet sich eine Sauna, die nur zwischen 14-16h kostenfrei genutzt werden kann, ansonsten wird eine Gebühr verlangt. Welcher Hotelgast, der auf Wanderung oder auch auf Ausflug unterwegs ist, geht um diese Uhrzeit in die Sauna?!
Der Massagestuhl kann nach Verlangen eines Coins an der Rezeption jederzeit genutzt werden.
Die Auswahl beim Frühstück ist zwar vielseitig, aber jeden Tag die gleiche - keine Variationen vom Wurst-/Käseangebot. Personal kommt nicht hinterher, fehlendes Geschirr wie Wassergläser/Teller nachzuliefern. Und auch so einfache Dinge wie Wasser und Brötchen wurden nicht rechtzeitig nachgeliefert. Besonders schlimm war es am Wochenende, wo das Hotel voll ausgelastet war. Hier mussten die Gäste das Personal mehrmals darauf ansprechen, doch bitte noch saubere Teller und Gläser hinzustellen und nachfragen, ob es noch Brötchen gibt, da der Brotkorb längere Zeit leer stand.
Die Zimmer sind sehr hellhörig - man kann die Gespräche der Zimmernachbar und auch die Spülung der Toilette sehr deutlich wahrnehmen.
Bei voller Auslastung des Hotels waren nicht genügend Parkplätze im Hof vorhanden.

Wir hatten ein ruhiges Zimmer gewünscht...

Am Abend hörten wir bis 01.30 Uhr laute Musik von einem Hotelevent und/oder grölende Menschen. Am nächsten Sonntag Morgen fing man um 07.30 Uhr unter unserem Zimmer mit dem lautstarken Plattklopfen von Schnitzeln an... Unser als ruhig angepriesenes Zimmer befand sich direkt über der Küche, was wir aber erst bei unserer Abreise herausfanden.

We had nice winter landscape, nice for taking a walk or you could also walk to Monschau, 1 hour walk.
Wellness area is great, we recommend to book private session.
Breakfast is good.
The only thing we didnt like was the buffet at dinner. Not dinner a la carte.

nous séjournons a cet hotel quand nous allons a monschau, toujours un bon acceuil,on demandais a prendre du liquide pour payer mais maintenant il dispose d un appareil pour payer par carte, dejeuner tres varié et endroit tres calme pour se reposer, a conseiller vivement, prix tres correct, seul bémol , ils ne parlent pas Français alors c est la débrouille,mais a part cela parfaitement content de notre séjour.

Das Preis -Leistungs-Verhältnis ist gut; leider die Zimmer etwas hellhörig, die Fahnen vor den Fenster klappern und das morgendlichen Kirchengeläute ist auch gewöhnungsbedürftig! Frühstück mit Sekt ist gut; der Empfang freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Fernsehprogramm ist bescheiden.

Monschau och Hotel De Lange Man.

Vi var på en Formula 1 weekend och hittade det här boendet nära banan i Belgien. På kvällarna åkte vi till byn Monschau och åt otroligt god tre rätters middag till bra pris. Byn i sig var fantastiskt fin i sig. Jag kommer garanterad besöka byn igen om vi har vägarna förbi!!

몬샤우시티까지 차로 15분 가량걸립니다. 걸어서는 못다니구요 차가있어야 편합니다. 직원들은 아주 친절하지만 방상태는 가격대비 별로입니다. 먼지도 테이블에 그대로고 칫솔도 없고 조식도 별로구..결제도 온라인 예약했는데도 마스터카드 안돼서 현금결제했구요...두번가진 않을듯 합니다

goed hotel !

nette kamer op de bovenverdieping.het is waarschijnlijk een familiekamer daar er naast onze kamer nog een kamer met stapelbed was.
sanitair prima in orde, goede bedden.Kamer zelf niet zo groot, maar voldoende voor één nacht.

ontbijtbuffet is goed.moest af en toe wat aangevuld, maar werd prompt gedaan als je het vroeg.
