The location of this hotel was beautiful and the staff were all very nice and helpful. The breakfast included was very good and the dinner bar menu had good options as well. Overall the place is a very cute, older, beautiful spot for a one night stay.

We stayed 3 nights and was told that if we didn’t agree to confirming breakfast at check in for each morning then the charge would go from £10.00 per person to £12.50 per person. That is just a rip off! We decided to eat breakfast in Fort William each morning at Wetherspoons and have dinner out of the hotel as a protest! It wasn’t about the extra charge entirely, but the principle! In my opinion we should be able to choose in the morning if we want to eat at the hotel. At that time we should be charged £10.00 per person not the elevated cost of £12.50.

The hotel is VERY basic - imagine Travel Lodge (20 years ago). We had to have dinner there, food was very basic and bland. Breakfast (£12.50) was like a greasy spoon. On a positive note the views from the room were good and the staff were very friendly.

The hotel is quite a way out of Fort William and there is not a frequent bus service. Also the bus stop is about a five to ten minute walk up the road depending on your age. This meant ordering a taxi to get us into town and back, which at £8/10 each way will add to your costs. The hotel was clean, but the sofas and carpets in the lounge/bar and communal areas were stained and dated. The menu in the bar was very basic and mainly burgers and standard pub fare. We paid extra for a loch view room, which was nice but this was spoiled for us by a shed opposite constantly using power tools to sand tables and an angle grinder to cut other things. The weather was good but having the window open was very noisy that we closed it. Also the road is very busy and noisy during the day. The staff however were very good and Maggie in the breakfast room was a lovely cheerful start to our day. Breakfast was very good but only served until 9:00 a.m. which was a bit early for us as we like a lie in on holiday. We enjoyed our stay, but probably wouldn't stay here again on account of its location.

Super easy to get to and the parking is right out front. The outside of the hotel is not much to look at but it does face the lake. Inside is a little worn but the staff is really nice and welcoming. You get an actual room key. As in a metal door key. Kind of a throwback but cool. The room was comfortable and clean, updated bathroom. Minimal noise but I could hear the shower in the room next door. You can adjust the temperature but I couldn't figure it out which is probably me. The staff offered to bring a space heater but it wasn't that cold. We did not eat at the restaurant because we went into town. There's a cool cinema there with a restaurant but make reservations if you want to eat there.

I didnt attend this hotel in the end due to a sudden death within the family I reached out the hotel 5 days in advance with the hope of a change of date or partial refund. I was refused I was offered a change in date I was told I had to use by end of april yet my initial stay was going to be 29th to 30th April. Im extremely disappointed in the service

Lovely modern (guessing newly decorated/refurbished) clean room.

Not huge, but enough for the 2 of us, table and chairs to sit at the window (our had a view of the loch, so very nice).

We took the breakfast option and it had all we needed. Buffet style, cereals, toast fresh juice, cooked food (eggs, sausages, black pudding, beans eggs ), fresh fruit and yogurt then hot drinks.

Like everywhere, you know what suits you and what doesn’t, for us this ticked all the boxes - double room with bathroom / shower, clean, quiet and a price that’s affordable.

The staff were all excellent, helpful, kind and friendly. I would compare this hotel room with a travel lodge but with a restaurant and breakfast attached to it. I had a nicer room for less money in the same week. I guess prices have escalated.
Well done staff! You made it worth while.

The hotel is a bit out of Fort William so you do need to drive in for dinner etc. The staff were very friendly.
The room had clearly been updated nicely recently. The corridors were obviously yet to be done.
The bar had very little character, i personally preferred to find somewhere a bit more atmospheric selling a wider selection of local drinks.
Breakfast was good with a good selection of cold and hot foods.
We did not eat dinner at the hotel as we weren't very inspired by the menu.
The room was pretty small as a triple room but we werent staying long so it was manageable.
Overall it was good value for the money but a little uninspiring.

Perfect for the price we paid. Good breakfast. Every member of staff was so nice. We had the first room as we had a dog they suggested it would be easier and surprisingly not loud. Big hotel so lots of places to sit. Shows its age in parts but we didn’t mind that. Gorgeous view of the loch and close to fort William and Ben Nevis. Comfy bed and good shower. Lots of parking

Room a bit cold and adjusting heating didn't make much difference.
Hotel is a few miles south of Fort William so I stayed in for dinner which I seriously regret. Food was mediocre at best and expensive for burnt pepperoni pizza overloaded with cheese and tomato paste and sausage unidentifiable as pepperoni. Staff uninterested in doing anything to help.

We were there for the Christmas period, and overall based on the price paid it was exactly as we expected it to be, so no complaints about the room. There was one exception, the food.

The ice cream that was served on Christmas Eve had clearly been thawed and refrozen, full of ice. The Christmas Day breakfast had solid black pudding, and solid yolks in the fried eggs.

Now here's the absolute worst part. The so called Christmas Buffet. We arrived 10 mins before our 7pm slot, only to find stale sandwiches, chicken nuggets and chocolate cake. Not one single redeeming feature that could be related to \"Christmas\" in any way. So how do sandwiches get stale before the buffet has even been started, well the answer probably has something to do with the Christmas lunch that happened at 1pm. It's quite clear there's issues with storage and food safety going on here. To serve something that should have been in the bin and take money for it, I'm sorry, but that's just unacceptable in every way.

Every guest who paid money for that, should be refunded.

The staff are lovely here, really friendly and welcoming. My room was upgraded to have a view but I was disappointed it only had twin beds instead of the queen bed booked.
The food is amazing in this hotel and reasonably priced. If you’ve never tried haggis, the bon bons are a great option.
Having a lift certainly makes things easier.

The bed sheets and blankets were clean, the staff were wonderful. But overall the facilities themselves were quite old and dated, and in spots totally dirty. We had urine on the floor in our restroom, the floor to the elevator was soaked in water, and overall it was just an uncomfortable stay. We loved the staff, they were all very kind, but the pictures of the building and room versus the reality of it were massively misrepresented. The view in the mornin overlooking the water is BEAUTIFUL though, and it was quiet.

Very basic. Overdue renovation. Looks a bit like a bail hostel on the outside. 2nd floor rooms have threadbare carpet, no hot water. Overall, facilities fine - breakfast not great, but cheap. Believe there’s renovations to the 2nd floor next month, but think the whole place needs some work. Probably a 2 star with 3 star facilities - ie a bar, a restaurant of sorts, a lift.

The hotel is lovely and staff are helpful. The food was not so great at all. I ordered a chicken curry and it was 100% out a jar and the garlic bread was cooked from frozen and very hard. I did not have breakfast but it would be nice of the hotel had some home cooked food. The drinks were extremely over priced! The rooms were lovely and clean and parking was great too - the views were great!

This is a difficult hotel to review. My room was very small and felt very old, dated and cheap. However, the staff were great and the dinning options within the hotel were really good. I ate some food in the bar/lobby area at night and it was great and the breakfast included with my stay the next morning was fantastic.

Booked a loch view, was given top floor. Room was awful, stank of mould, however, on speaking to reception they immediately moved us to the second floor. Lovely clean room, loch view with walk in shower. Much better. Hotel does need remodernising though, noticed its starting to look tired compared to last year.
