Staff was good but the key card machine wasn’t working so you had to be let in with a master key everytime. That was a pain. I’m sure it is resolved now but a power outage caused it and it wasn’t working 24 hours later.

Room was barely cleaned each day, just bed made and fresh towels, staff were useless, when addressing concerns. I only booked there for the hot tub and gym, hot tub was closed and gym under construction.
my TV remote was missing from the room, had to argue with front desk to get a new one.
I stay in hotels 100+ days a year, so I'm understanding, but staff here didn't care at all about my concerns or hotel cleanliness.

Breakfast ends at the ridiculously early hour of 8AM for a Sunday. The elevator was jerky and felt unsafe. The floor was noisy with a ton of young kids. They should reserve quiet floors for older people without children. I was awakened several times. Would not recommend.

When will Expedia insist that Hotels that are under renovation disclose this fact in the listing. This hotel was brutal. It was a full time construction zone - all amenities closed for construction. No fitness room. I cannot believe they had the gall to charge full prices. I will never stay at a Pomeroy ever again.

We did not get the room we paid for. When my husband checked in, they switched the room to a queen with roll in shower, but we paid for a king suite with a separate bedroom. I am not at all happy with this. My travel agent called the hotel to ask why this was done and the lady could not give an explanation. She said the manager would resolve this in the morning. I expect a refund as this is not the room that was paid for. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The first room they gave me had no power to any lights. Tv. Etc. so I went to change the room. They gave me a dirty semi dirty room that had 3 small beds instead of 1 so my wife and I couldn’t even sleep in the same bed. No screen on window and smell wasn’t the greatest. We left window open with bathroom fan on while we went to our event (3) hours and smell was still there

The breakfast is not good at all the pork sausage taste really bad and the same with the beacons.
The room is ok but the carpet in the hallway was old and it seems dirty.
When I checked out the front desk told me that she will send me the hotel receipt by email but it never happened. The next day I called them and ask for the receipt; this time it was a man picked up the phone and again he told me that he will send it by email. So I was waiting but nothing. 3 days later I went to this hotel and the nice young lady told me that they had my email address was wrong but my mobile number was right and they should call me because the email was bounced back so they noticed but they did not care.

Our toliet ran all night.
The air conditioner controls were absolutely in disrepair.
It was not near as clean as your report said.
The elevators needed to be inspected for safety and if they do pass I honestly don’t know how.
The front desk girl was amazing but it went down hill from there.

This property should be much nicer for 180/ night!! The chairs and all of the furniture is heavily stained so had to use all of the clean towels in order to sit down! The breakfast is just ok. Nothing great. Same old same old. The pillows on the bed are a total joke the thickest and lumpiest pillows ever invented. Kind of a joke for the money!!!!

This was my favourite hotel on our road trip this summer. The staff were so awesome, friendly and helpful. They got us a family room (as I misread the booking options) and this was a saving grace. The pool is perfect for families, the restaurant close by was top notch and the room was exactly what our family of 4 needed after two days on the road!

Overall an average stay. The room smelled strongly of air freshener so we had to open windows to help it dissipate. Great kitchen and spacious room. Comfortable bed. Outside the hotel in the parking lot in the morning was full of garbage blowing around and half eaten fast food which was a real turn off .

It was one long night…

Check in and check out was fast, convenient they have a very nice lady at the desk. Initially the room was conveniently located to the pool and breakfast bar and looked clean but had a lingering smell of cigarette smoke.
The bathroom was extremely small and all of the fixtures are in need of some good maintenance because the rusty towel rods and dangling shower head do not shout out that someone cares. Shower did not drain well either and came with a fabric curtain which we can all just assume probably doesn’t get sanitized…ever!
Beds were tidy looking but uncomfortable and slanted to the outsides as one of my children actually fell out at night and the struggle to stay in was definitely real. Sheets were not clean and had staining that we only discovered the next morning unfortunately, same with the bathroom towels.
The convenience of the room (main floor) turned out to be the worst location because as soon as 5:30 am rolled around, there was tv’s blaring next door , smoke detectors going off because neighbours burnt bacon and slamming doors in the hallway. Now this might not happen to everybody but the fact is that the walls stop no noise whatsoever, should be a consideration for any hotel stay because it’s not fun being woken up 3 hours earlier then you’ve planned.
Breakfast bar has lots of choices to choose from but be cautious because 90% of it may or may not taste worse then just eating cardboard for breakfast.
I can’t recommend and will not stay again. Thanks

I stayed at fort st john pomeroy on the same trip so i have the perfect comparison. The carpets in dawson creek were disgusting. We stayed on the second floor and had to dodge huge wetspots, mud, dirt and other suspicious marks in the hallway. Perhaps bleach, or something gross not sure. The elevator made sounds as if it was going to break down. We took the stairs when possible.The carpet in the room was a bit better. The bathroom was tiny, pillows were abnormally small and weirdly shaped as if homemade. There was icecream, opened bottles of drinks in the fridge as well as alcoholic drinks left. I threw them all away to make room for our stuff. The stay in fort st john was much more enjoyable and cheaper. Dawson creek pomeroy needs some updating and maybe keep tourists in seperate area from crews. I do undersrand the crews track in mud etc but we were on a family holiday and want things to be more presentable and cleaner especially paying close to 200 a night!

It was okay, the pool was broken which was important to us due to traveling with children and hoping for some playtime. After I complained, the manager tried to make it right by offering to pay the price to use the local community pool. It was an inconvenient idea but nice of her. Overall, I probably would prefer to stay at another hotel when I come back through the area but it is an okay place if you are looking for a place to crash for the night.

needs better noise cancelling. We had the unfortunate timing of being around during a tournament of some sort. Kids were running up and down the halls all day, there was also a dog losing its mind in the morning. The staff did call the owners of the dog but it was not the most relaxing morning.
