The room was great! Floors were heated, large bathroom and bedroom. Amazing views out the windows! The facility has two restaurants that are great, the spa is amazing! They give you robes and everyone in the hotel stays in them most of the day. The underground to the theme pools is awesome! This was an amazing place to stay! Right in the middle of old town and Christmas markets!

Very interesting experience, the taste one at the restaurant for the huge breakfast and the terrific dinner were astonishing!
The rooms are very bad in my opinion, with non comfortable beds, small (not big as shown in the pictures) and also very bad showers.
Sky bar/pool and garden spa, fine. The sky pool in the morning is absolutely amazing, I suggest you to try.
Unfortunately the Terme of Merano doesn't follow Covid19 rules. People without masks everywhere, also in the changing room where men and women are together in small spaces.

We loved this hotel! The easy access to the Therme Merano is the real selling point, but the ambiance and food keeps us coming back again and again. The rooftop and garden spa are nice, but can be exceptionally overcrowded, so we tend to spend our time at the Therme. Great staff, easy (and free) parking in the garage. Great location.

Hotel Terme Merano was everything a 5-star hotel should be. It was a family trip with my adult son and we thought it was absolutely perfect! From the infinity pool out under the stars we looked out at the snow-capped mountains. It was great to have direct access to the thermal spa next door. There is nothing more anyone could ask for in a spa experience. The Süd Tyrol area of Italy is breathtaking!

Beautiful hotel in lovely Merano - one complaint
Beautiful, comfortable hotel right in the center of charming Merano. Friendly service, excellent breakfast. I am not a spa person, but there is access to 2 spas in the hotel the the Terme Merano right next to the hotel. I was disappointed in that the only time I tried to use the spa was the hot tub on the top of the hotel - there were 3 of them and they were all lukewarm at best, less than my body temperature. I was really looking forward to a nice hot tub for my bad knee and bad back and it was useless. Would expect more for a hotel supposed to be known for it's spa.

Expedia.ca sent an “initial impression” survey. I made one slight negative comment and hotel reacted right away. I truly felt bad since the issue was not at all a real problem. The certainly pride themselves at customer satisfaction.

This is a beautiful hotel - I highly recommend the Sky Spa and pool. The rooms are immaculate, modern and comfortable and the breakfast was superb. My only criticism is an issue with the price. If you register for one person, they put you in a room with two beds. But if you add a second person, they almost double the price. I do think they should add to the charges, but this level of cost difference is really excessive and inappropriate given that you are essentially paying an additional $150-200 per night for breakfast and access to the thermal pool and spa. Merano itself is charming; great walking and running

Set in the heart of Merano with stunning views of the mountains, this hotel was superb. Spacious rooms, super clean, the most amazing buffet breakfast ever (try the muesli yogurt, omelettes, cappuccinos and cake selection - wow!). The hotel spa area is OK with three small pools, but it also links to the main thermal baths at no extra charge. These are the best Thermal baths I have been to with a wide range of indoor and outdoor pools and jacuzzis.

Good facilities, terrible staff
The hotel is in a good location, central, and having direct access to the public pools of the Therme Meran is a big plus. However, staff is bureaucratic and rude and they nickel & dime you for everything. Upon check-in they gave my son a wristlet for pool access, which at only 3 yrs old, he lost, of course! Upon check-out they charged us $ 30 for the loss. Nobody told us about this penalty upon check-in, otherwise I would not have entrusted my 3 yr old with the wristlet. I gave staff a choice at check-out: They can be customer friendly and simply forget about the loss of a $ 0.25 cost wristlet and thereby create customer goodwill; or they can be bureaucratic, insist on fine print and legalese and fine us a ridiculous $ 30 for a 3 yr old losing his wristlet, create bad will and lose a repeat customer for good. They chose the latter. That tells you a lot about attitude. We do not support bureaucratic hotels that forgot where the money comes from. We will not come back. Hotel is both, hardware and software. The hardware here is ok, but the software here (i.e. staff) stinks.

Not what I would call four star
This hotel is a little odd. Attached to a public pool facility but has pools and spa of its own. The front desk staff not particularly friendly or helpful. There is little or no air conditioning in this hotel. So in July it's hot. The room air conditioning is controlled by the front desk which is the most absurd thing I've ever heard of espcially in a hotel that's supposed to be four star.
Restaurant closes at 9:00 which is also pretty early for what is supposed to be a spa or resort hotel.

Hotel staff were indifferent at best. Usually they seemed to be too busy to deal with us. Rooms smell of cigarette smoke, which is typical in Europe. Beds are just okay. Spa area was quite nice. Restaurant staff seemed very uptight and put upon when asked for something (another bottle of wine, a fork, butter). Yes it's close to the city center but I would never stay here again, based upon the attitude of the staff

Amazing setting with view of high mountains all around. Free access to incredible modern public Spa with dozens of different indoor and outdoor pools. Hotel aslo had its own pool and big spa. Hotel is in middle of a lovely town with nice restaurants. Our room was massive and very comnfortable, I think we must have been upgraded from our requested superior room to some sort of suite.

Insgesamt war unser Aufenthalt im Hotel Therme Meran enttäuschend. Es war bereits unser sechster Besuch in der Umgebung von Meran, doch im Vergleich zu anderen Hotels hat dieses hinsichtlich Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis am schlechtesten abgeschnitten.
Die Zimmer waren sauber, aber etwas in die Jahre gekommen und nicht besonders geräumig. Der Wellnessbereich im 4. Stock umfasst ein Dampfbad, eine finnische Sauna und eine Bio-Sauna, der Ruheraum ist sehr grosszügig und ungemütlich gestaltet. Das Highlight ist zweifellos der Infinity-Pool mit seinem beeindruckenden Blick auf die Bergwelt. Positiv ist auch der kostenlose Zugang zur Therme Meran, die jedoch öffentlich zugänglich ist und daher sehr belebt war – viele Kinder und entsprechend hoher Lärmpegel. Die Nutzung der Sauna ist für Hotelgäste zudem kostenpflichtig.
Das Frühstück war gut, das Personal jedoch unfreundlich. Da wir ohne Abendessen gebucht hatten, wollten wir einen Tisch im Restaurant reservieren, erhielten jedoch keinen Platz. Fazit: für diesen Preis gibt es definitiv bessere Alternativen. Wir kommen nicht wieder.

Das Hotel hat alles, was wir uns wünschten. Einen sehr schönen Spabereich mit einem tollen Blick auf die Stadt und die umher liegenden Berge, während man in der Sauna sitzt und einen Outdoor Pool mit der Möglichkeit, direkt an den Poolrand zu schwimmen. Considerati gli elevati prezzi, mi sarei aspettato molto di più. Le camere necessitano di essere rinnovate. La moquette in camera e nelle parti comuni odira di stantio. Un cappuccino al banco costa quattro euro. Per accedere alle saune delle terme si devono pagare ulteriori otto Euro.

hotel grundsätzlich sehr schön, jedoch Klimaanlage insuffizient, wirklich \"heisse\" Nacht verbracht, auch deswegen früher abgereist obwohl ganzen Aufenthalt schon voraus bezahlt. Sehr üppiges fantastisches Frühstückbuffet, wenn jedoch die Nacht trotz 3mal duschen wegen des heissen Zimmers nicht schlafend verbracht werden kann trübt das das Erlebnis überaus.

Domenica mattina abbiamo dovuto attendere quasi un'ora in coda e in pedi per poter fare il check out. Consiglio di predisporre un'altra persona alla reception (almeno alla Domenica mattina) per sveltire i tempi di attesa.
Inoltre al momento del check in (perfetto e veloce al venerdì) dovrebbero avvisare della possibilità fare il check out il sabato sera visto i lunghissimi tempi di attesa del check out della domenica mattina.

Es war im Großen und Ganzen ein hervorragendes Hotel. Es gab nur einen kleinen Anlass zu \"meckern\". Das Essen wasr im Grossen und GAnzen auch sehr gut,aber wie immer gibt es auch Ausnahmen. Beim Vorspeisenbuffet am Abend wurde desölfteren Carpatcho angeboten, Das Fleisch war mit einer Sosse überzogen. Wenn die Gäste ein Stück davon nahmen sah der Rest unappetitlich aus. Auch bei manchen Speisen wurden Sossen dazu gegeben, die nicht sehr appetitlich aussahen und auch nicht schmeckten - das sah man auch an den Gesichtern anderer Gäste.
