Overall experience was good, the downside was I went over a weekend without Internet on the room. At the end, the issue was fixed by Monday. Later I found out they installed new antennas in the floor, and might also changed the internet provider. At the end it will result very good for the hotel because internet before was not good.
I'd also like to point out all the staff was very friendly.

Extremely disappointed

The staff was very friendly, which is the only good thing I can say about this hotel. When I enter my room It felt OK but after a while, I started feeling warm. I called down and asked if I could get some help with the thermostat. They told me it been fixed, and that the larger generator was being used. After an hour, I didn’t notice any difference so I asked to be switched to a different room. After being in this room For a couple of hours, I noticed the same problem. They told me they would have someone come look at it. Nothing changed. I decided to let it go and deal with it after a sleepless night. I was a bit frustrated. The next day, I decided to get some work done on my computer, but to no avail. The Wi-Fi was constantly on and off throughout the day, which was quite frustrating. I called and asked for help and they said that I should just keep trying and it should get better, but it never did. I finally realize that it wasn’t worth the money for me to stay here through the weekend, so I called down and told them that we would be leaving and I was assured that I would only be charged for one night stay. Hotel.com eventually reached out to me and said that they were not able to get approval for a refund due to the lack of communication with the hotel. I would like to say I’m surprised, but I’m actually not. Needless to say, I won’t be staying here next time I’m in town. Very Disappointed

Air conditioning was broke. They out me in the wring room the first night with a broken ac. Moved me to a new room due to broken ac. Still wrong room. Ac broke at 3 am.. moved me to the right room the next day and the ac worked 40 percent. They brought me a fan and thats how i finished my time there, under a fan. The staff was courteous and very helpful

I liked everything else, except:

1. Restaurant is not well equipped to make the foods that are offered on the menu. Half of the items I ordered, I was told they are not available at the moment.

2. They play a loud music in all hallways and lobby 24 hours, which is irritating; and I don't know why? Even when you go to bed at night, the music keeps playing. I personally had to call them every night and ask them to turn off the music as people need to sleep quietly.

Unpleasant Stay!

My room Air-conditioner was not working, I complained to the hotel staff, they came, fumbled with the AC Regulator without fixing the issue. Also the walkway leading up to the room has a stagnant pungent smell, hot and uncomfortable.

The in dining restaurant had soiled linen on the dinner table. I checked other tables and it was a reoccurring theme, so me and my wife decided to leave for another restaurant and check out from the hotel the next day ASAP!

The hotel is located in a prime area of Victoria Island and as such the current management aren’t maximizing the full potential the surrounding real estate has to offer. The hotel is in serious need of investment and renovation.

The staff is very friendly. I love the vibe I get as soon as I walk in the hotel. The only down fall this time, was that the A/C wasn’t blowing as cold as my last stay, but I managed. VCP hotel will always be my go to in Victoria island, Lagos.

The staff is very polite and friendly. Housekeeping checks up on you twice a day to make sure you have everything you need; I really like that! The room was extremely comfortable and super clean. The hospitality was outstanding in my opinion. This was my first trip to Lagos from Florida and I will definitely stay there again without a doubt.

The bathroom was not up to the basic standard. My bathroom looks and feel were irritating. The walls were covered with black greenish gross stain. The bathroom needs total renovation. I had a very displeasing experience taking my shower.

Nice hotel with good facilities that needs some more maintenance. Due to regular power cuts, the generator is running most of the time. So, pls avoid rooms facing the main roads as its really loud on the lower floors... Instead, choose a room facing the backyard if you like quietness and taking a room on the 1st or 2nd floor.

Still wondering the basis for 4* by Hotel.com

I hardly give reviews on Hotel.com but I wouldn't want first time users to fall victim and be deceived by the 4* rating. Firstly, this hotel is overpriced for the facilities and standard. I was there only for a night on short business trip. the first room I was given had 2 major issues: the television was not functional - yes, television. The wifi only works through the the television. Basic toilet provision like dental kit was not made available. my room was changed, this time, no spare power socket to charge my phone. These issues are taken for granted in facilities that are priced much less.
Only two things to cheer - friendly staff and rich buffet breakfast which was complimentary.
Overall, I don't recommend it.

A hotel with European standards

I enjoyed staying at the hotel, from the security to the reception, and the cleaners are carried out their duties accordingly. Apart from the water that sometimes become yellowish, and I was displeased when water ceased for 39 minutes on my last day, though they apologised and have warned through the TV messaging but I was already in the bath covered in soap. Everything else is great just to mention their food is a bit pricey! lol

Hotel is nice and clean but service from kitchen is appalling! Food takes an age to arrive and then you get either something inedible or something missing half the ingredients that should be present! You are met with the usual, \"this will never happen again\" type answers when the matter is raised but heard this all before and know it wont change!!! If you want to change, get a chef that can cook and can follow a recipe so you get what they, expensively, are charging you for!!1

This hotel is very nice surprisingly enough. This was my first time visiting Nigeria and I did not know what to expect but it was amazing. The staff were amazing and went that extra mile to make my stay good. However, the hotel needs to be maintained, as some stuffs were not very pleasing to look at.

This is the most amazing hotel I've been to in Lagos so far. I was solo for the last few days of my trip and I felt really safe. The gatemen are extremely friendly and also care about your safety. The front desk staff were very informative and helpful. Also my favorite belstaff, Peter, was so kind. He went out to buy me some products that I needed. Over all this place is worth its price and stay. The only thing I would change is the lighting throughout the building. It is very dark, which gives an uninviting ambiance. Also, if it could be helped, then the mosquitoes in the lobby are too much. Other than that I loved my stay!

The place is OK. We slept really well. Hotel is dated but clean. Good location and breakfast is OK but should cut down on oily stuff. We can be pursuaded to stay there again. I actually prefer the room to the Federal Palace because we stayed there as well. But the facilities are not that great.

Breakfast was good but ate dinner twice in the hotel and the food was not particularly nice. Expensive for the quality. The pool was dirty and not cleaned while I was there. The sink leaked but was not fixed and to delete any phone messages you need to call IT, who came and deleted them??? . The staff were friendly and polite and the room cleaner was excellent.

Lovely Boutique Hotel in convenient surrounding

The customer is king at VCP. The staff are solicitous but not intrusive. Food is great, rooms are clean with flat screen LG TVs offering 35 channels. Laundry service is quick. The pool, lobby area and bar are cosy. The hotel is located in a nice area close to eatries, banks, transportation and businesses. Car rental available. A night club next door to hang out at night.

Average. Marketed as a 4 star hotel, but it is a 3 star hotel.
Had to change room once.
Staff are polite and friendly, but lethargic. On more than one occasion wrong food was sent up when I asked for room service.
Other times I was at the outdoor pool, and waited almost 45 minutes for a drink that didn't arrive.
The airport pick up was a joke (1 hour late and told me to come to the bridge), and airport drop off was just as bad (he didn't seem to know what terminal to go to)
On the whole I would advise that the hotel re-class itself as a 3 star hotel. Otherwise I feel it is extremely expensive

This hotel is not Crowne Plaza like I thought it was, it is Crown Plaza.

I have received a suite - so room was huge, breakfast was bad, rooms are not sound proof.\"Taxi\" from the hotel is a joke.
