The staff was nice and made sure my room was clean. Parking was good. In order to get breakfast I’m guessing you have to be up at 6 when it’s served.
Angus William
Nice big clean room with cold air conditioning. Daily housekeeping. To go breakfast was great. Easy parking. Staff very helpful and friendly. We stayed here for 2 weeks to visit family and we would go back again. Highly recommend.

Wasn’t bad, just old and out dated. Room smelled slightly, but it wasn’t a big deal. Guy in the front was helpful, when checking in. Can’t complain about the price.

Everything was Great Service
Dustin
The breakfast was an absolute joke I wouldn’t have fed it to my dog…. There were obvious illegal activities going on throughout the entire night, sketchy people just hanging out in vehicles in the parking lot, ultimately this is not a place you want to stay the whole city is disgusting and very very uncomfortable. I only stayed 2 nights and between those two nights I might have gotten 5hrs of sleep due to the fact I felt the need to constantly check to make sure my vehicle was not being messed with.. the shower…. Oh the shower cold water had semi decent pressure but the moment you put hot water on it would die it to a small weak stream, the towels provided I think were clean but smelled stale and moldy I went to the store and purchased my own.. the parking lot issues and the people that would be outside made the stay absolutely miserable horrible, I actually contemplated calling the police because of it, I knew management wouldn’t do anything about it.. 10/10 DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!
Bobby
4 stars because the customer service was decent. My guy at the desk was patient enough with me and did what he could, as I had messed up the reservation and like to had a stroke in the process. The room was cleanish, everything pretty much what you would expect for the price. Def keep the door locked tho

It was a awesome place to stay and I couldn't ask for a better hotel
shanise
It was amazing stay the room was surprising very well kept up and smelled good
Shanise
It was ok they just have a lot of people book the rooms for whoring and was very loud at 1-2am and the rooms need a lil TLC but other then that it was ok
Eric
It was easily accessible and not hard to find. Room smelled, bedding had hair in it and I found bugs in the sheets believed to be hatchling roaches. Did not notice until well after the stay, but I was charged my agreed upon rate through Expedia, and the motel charged me as well, almost doubling the agreed upon price. If I had known that, I would have stayed at a much nicer hotel and avoided the issues.
Stephanie
Room would not get cool. A lot of nefarious activity in the evenings.
Lynell
Everything in the room was filthy except for the shower & beds. Especially the bathroom & entire floor. No one responded to complaint. No continental breakfast. No pool. No one inside lobby upon checking out. There's only a basket to drop keys in. Never again!
Billy
Dirty and management was dishonest.
Staff was nice though

Clean but Poorly Maintained – We Left a Day Early
What We Liked:
Bananas at breakfast were fresh and probably the best part of the “continental” offering.
On a lighter note — no roaches, no mold. So that’s something!
What Went Wrong:
In the first room, the tub wouldn’t plug — so no one could take a bath. Not a big deal for everyone, but frustrating for families traveling with kids.
Staff moved us to another room where the AC worked, but leaked water all over the floor.
We had to request towels to mop it up ourselves. Meanwhile, the AC made loud grinding noises like it was on the verge of blowing up.
The refrigerator added to the noise with a constant hum. Thankfully, we brought box fans from home, which helped us sleep through it.
When we asked for extra blankets, we were told we’d have to wait — because the only set of supply keys was off-site with another employee. We didn’t get blankets until the middle of the night.
Breakfast was nearly nonexistent — stale muffins and little else. If you’re counting on a hot or hearty meal, you’ll need to head elsewhere.
The noise and discomfort finally pushed us to leave a day early. Unfortunately, we were still charged for the night we didn’t stay, with no offer of compensation.
This place has potential — the staff was polite and the room was at least clean — but poor maintenance, excessive noise, and a lack of basic service made the stay miserable. Until significant improvements are made, I’d recommend staying elsewhere.

Dirty. Stains and sticky stuff on furniture. Not enough or missing towels/bathmat. No venting fan in bathroom made the whole room stuffy and humid after shower.

We stayed there from 24th evening to 25th morning. At the time of entry a receptionist in front desk told us that breakfast will be served from 6-9 AM. We literally got nothing in the breakfast. There was no person in front desk in morning. Also, there was no shower curtain in the bathroom. So we were unable to use shower as well. Overall it was extremely unpleasant for us.

Very bad roooms

Horrible
The front desk was very bias. He lied and told me that he had no first floor rooms after telling my love one that he did. I had to call him out on his lie, and he went ahead and gave me the room on the first floor . I had to book directly with the hotel because hotels.com could not change my booking to the night of because it was past 12:00 AM

New Iberia Super 8
we arrived around 8ish pm after long drive, husband needed to use restroom. Girl who came out couldn't get him key to restroom and then during check in she had to go see someone upstairs to get answers about our checking in. All this time my husband is dancing around needing to pee. Gather she was home from school and her parents and sister ran the hotel. Which never saw anyone but her. Nice lobby but rooms need new bedding and nearest ice machine didn't work so had to go to Lobby for ice. And breakfast....worst breakfast I have every had! Thawed out frozen waffles, 1 cereal and small muffins that were terrible. No juices. I've had better grab and go breakfasts than this. It was OK for a quick over night stay (passing through) and was close to the Tabaco Museum, which is where we went next day. We got what we paid for since it was a lower priced hotel.
Gregory
Property needs some repairs. Nothing serious, just some touch up here and there. But still a great place to stay. Close to food options and next door to a gas station.
Cheyenne
I loved this stay, and is by far my preferred hotel in the area. I go every couple of months to see my family in Lafayette, and this will now be my go to hotel for all of my visits.
Tabitha
Unsatisfied customer
Place was filthy. Towels were dingy and had stains. Mold in corners. Light fixture in bathroom was gone. No air vent just a whole in the ceiling full of dirt. Comforter had burn holes. Refrigerator was frozen. Couldn't put nth in the top. Microwave was dirty. Had a spill. Called for towels was told they didn't have access for towels til morning. Was just brought a mop which had to use myself to clean. Worker just left and said call when I finish. Phone in room didn't work at all. Just wasn't satisfied. Remote had tape on the back. 219 door was opened all night. No security. Had a man sleep outside in the middle of the walk way. Won't be booking with them again. 0 stars

Couch was stained in several areas. Bed felt itchy, carpet was filthy
Gregory
My room has some minor issues. Shower curtain rod was not mounted, hole in wall by door, and leak under air conditioning unit. And ice machine was not working either. But still nice rooms, professional staff, and great hotel.

It was just a bad night to check in.
I booked 2 nights ahead of time but did not check in until the 2nd night. The \"new\" worker was not trained I guess to do the simplest thing it seemed like. She had to call somebody in order for them to fix the problem remotely. It just seems like a simple task but I waited over 30 mins dealing with that until I got into a room. Overall for the price...it was an ok stay....what else do you expect.
Edwin
This property is in very bad condition. Old and worn out. No common area coffee until the breakfast hour. Breakfast was a joke. Stay away from this hotel.
Karen
Price was cheap. Parking right outside the door. The building is old and needing updated. the sink had a crack in it. The carpet was dirty. I had white socks on and they were filthy dirty after walking around the room. New paint needed. Ceiling needed covers. Couldn’t wait to leave.

Room review
Room was terrible got the room with jetted to cause wife is pregnant and wouldn't even use it there was roaches all over the floor and in the tub
Verified traveler
Not as good as it used to be.
There were a lot of stains on the sofa, carpet and in the fridge. As our previous stay in October 2023 was great, we booked this hotel again but was disappointed.
JAMIE

It was a very nice and comfortable evening for a couple get away
Robert
The room is clean, and the price is cheap.
The room is spacious and has daily housekeeping services. The breakfast is very basic but enough to start the day.
Danielle
I thought the breakfast could've been alot better. They dont offer anything hot or salty. To me its a childs breakfast.
Marva
Everything was great quite and clean
Chris
Good stay, will recommend!
Gilbert
Grear stay, would stay again.
I was pleasantly surprised. Stayed in a handicap accessible room & the room was recently refurbished. I read reviews of all hotels nearby & heard complaints of weak hot water but I didn't have any issues here. Everything thing was clean & checkin & morning staff were nice & professional. The continental breakfast was very simple consisting of coffee, cold cereal, bananas, toast & packaged danishes. I'm a simple breakfast person with no complaints but can easily imagine many would be disappointed with the continental breakfast. I had I great stay at the Super 8, was very happy with the price & definitely would stay again.

Never Again!
When my husband and I arrived to our room, we immediately got online to look for another hotel. Bugs on floor, room was over 90 degrees.
Larry
Comfortable and clean
Our room was comfortable and clean. I saw none of the problems that some of the previous reviews mentioned. It was quiet and I felt safe.
Carlos
Great Place to Stay
The hotel and staff were excellent and friendly.
Selena
Not bad provided what I needed
It was good. I do understand it’s a 2 star not that I’m a 5 star person but the hotel needs some Renovation desperately. The staff was very friendly and professional. Loved the way the outside had extremely good lighting since I work nights and have to leave when dark.
Michael
Super 8 Stay for Two Days
Cold….heater did not work in room….front desk brought a portable heater for 2nd day of stay.
John
Terrible
Roaches in room and cigarette burn holes on comforter.
Courtney
This property needs a major change — the pool
Is closed due to Covid. We literally checked in & locked ourselves in the room because there were people loitering in the parking lot & a few of the individuals continued to harass other guests as well as myself in the parking lot begging for money and rides. It was a shame because my kids were scared to even go to sleep.

The room was not clean it was a non smoking room but smell of smoke, there where cigarette butt in room, cigarette burns in comforter. electric outlet was missing cover plate. microwave was broken.TV speaker was broken. there was a blood stain on one of the pillow cases, mold in bathroom. fridge would fall forward when open.

Roaches

Allison

Just a horrible experience. Didn’t even sleep because I was so miserable. The air did not work, the shower was just a trickle and the bed was so hard I couldn’t even lay on it. Never again!

Odor problem and when addressed it the employee tells me everyone is not the same
Kristina
The hotel was not what it shows online...run down and the pool was green and not open. After getting our money back and moving to a different hotel, the lady at the second hotle told us that a person had drowned in the pool a couple of years earlier and it hasnt been used since!! The room was scary and dirty..dont do it...not worth the pricecut!
Carmen
I would stay again…

No phone in room to call housekeeping. No iron/ironing board to iron clothes. Ask maintenance to change light bulb and never did. Rusty fixures throughout. Tub drained slow. Need to shampoo carpet. Onwers need to spend money to update the place. The low cost is not worth it.
