Not a 4star property. It is all rather tired. We expected our room to be made up each day - didn’t happen. Breakfast comprised of stale pastries, sausage patties and potatoes that were barely warm and had been standing for too long. The coffee was undrinkable it was all counter service and clear your own table Not 4 star standard by any stretch of the imagination. Bed was very soft so we did not sleep well and left after breakfast today feeling nauseous

Wonderful Stay. The Garden Suite was Stunning. The Fireplace gave a warm glow and the soaking tub with bath salts was Divine after a long day. I enjoyed reading and relaxing in the Wicker Nest Chair in my complimentary bath robe…EVERYTHING was Perfect and the Staff were AMAZING!!! Thank you.

A lovely inn option in Litchfield. Bear in mind, this venue hosts lots of weddings and other events, so you might want to avoid it on a weekend. Staying here on Sunday and Monday nights, it was peaceful and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Would be nice if there were some food and wine options at the hotel after a long day out and about in the area. Did not feel like getting back in the car to drive for a meal.

The hotel was on a busy street with no sidewalks and it has not amenities so you had to get in a car to go anywhere.

The building and services were subpar for the room cost.

The staff was inexperienced and not very welcoming.

The’balcony’ outside our room’s balcony door was a tar paper rooftop with hvac equipment and exhaust fans.

Not only was my room designed impeccably and clean, but there were free waters, snacks and freshly baked cookies available upon arrival. Their breakfast was outstanding (and free) and they had coffee, beverages and snacks available at all times of day - something almost all other hotels will charge you for. Simply gorgeous!!!

Honestly one of the best and most beautiful hotels in CT. We've been staying here for many years and have seen the renovations and amenities evolve and improve through the years. Every time our stay only gets better. Gorgeous, tasteful decor, generous amenities (free snacks in a beautiful gathering room with games!). TVs in every room. Friendly staff, delicious free breakfast and just an all around wonderful place. Location is great too. Litchfield is a lovely, quaint town filled with boutiques and restaurants. The inn is also about 20 min drive to Mohawk ski mountain.

The toilet in our bathroom was broken. It wouldn't flush and ran all night. Staff was great about trying to fix it No towel racks was odd. Towels had to be stacked on sink.
Breakfast muffins and pastries were stale, maybe because it was Christmas week.

The property was very nice but we were on the first floor of the hotel and it sounded like there was a pack of elephants jumping up and down on our ceiling in our room. Finally around 11:30pm it stopped but then started back the next morning at 7:30am. It was very quiet except for the fact that whoever was in the the room above ours sounded like a herd of pachyderms dancing around. Maybe this was an exception but guests staying at this hotel seemed very noisy. Other than that the hotel itself was very nice, if you can put up with the noises.

Charming Inn with the room space of a hotel

An adorable inn with the charm of an inn and the space of a hotel. I cannot say enough great things about this gem. They greeted me upon late arrival with cookies for me and a dog bone for my dog. All the perks - gathering room, breakfast, patio - were thoroughly explained even at the late hour. The room was impeccably clean and they provided water and mints. I was easily able to adjust the temperature and the beds were very comfortable with more than enough pillows. It's close to a lot of adorable shops and restaurants. I didn't try the breakfast due to schedules, but I'm sure it was delightful. An odd anecdote but something to note - I never take pens from hotels since they're usually rather cheap. I actually took this pen because it wrote so well, had a decent weight and I needed one for work :) A marker of good customer service! If i ever find myself in this area again, I'll be sure to stay and recommend it to others!

Very nice staff. Photos online make the inn seem higher end. In reality, furniture is nicked; you can hear your neighbor’s water every time it’s turned in; hallway carpeting not vacuumed for days. Pretty nice breakfast though. And, as said, nice staff.

Can’t say enough wonderful things about this Inn. They had both the fire pit and fire place lit at night offering a very inviting calming area. They had activities outside and an amazing view. Inside was decorated beautifully and was very clean. Staff was accommodating and breakfast was wonderful. There were no added or hidden costs, they offered quality options for drinks and snacks.

The staff are very nice. The common areas of the hotel are generally in good condition. The room itself is fine, however, for the price, it's time to touch up the furniture, elevator cab and some of the common areas where wear and tear are beginning to show. After years in the hospitality business, I am not easily impressed. This property is well managed, well styled and very easy to navigate no matter what your challenges may be. The room was bright. The bathroom was freshly renovated. The bed was very comfortable. The property was not very full as we chose the weekend AFTER New Years. We were impressed by the excellent cooked to order omelettes and the range of pastries. We will definitely be returning soon!
