This will be our go-to place whenever we visit our daughter at college. The Minnewaska Lodge is in a beautiful spot. The common area and most rooms have a view of the Shawangunk cliffs. It’s a great place to relax after a hard day of skiing, climbing or hiking.

Maggie the receptionist was very pleasant. The breakfast was the best I have ever seen at a hotel. There were eggs, gluten free baked items, avacado, cereal, waffles, sausage, fruit, muffins, bagels, tea, coffee. All overlooking the back hill. The room was spacious. There are trail off the back of the property. The German resteraunt ( Mountain Brewhous) across the street was great. The wait staff wears German costumes. We went hiking in Minnewaska state park and saw the waterfall.

Room was clean, and the staff was nice. A little outdated with the furnishings. Was very noisy with the guests up above us most of the night. It snowed & parking was terrible with over crowding. Snow plowing could have been taken care of a little better.Lastly, at what the price for rooms cost here @ the lodge, at least make sure to fix the toilet seat so it stays up when usung it in room108..

The concierge lent me his laptop charger since I forgot mine. There were deer outside the window when we ate breakfast! The breakfast had GF options and REAL FOOD not just pre-packaged bready items. The campus was clean and quaint. Everybody was friendly. And it was a short drive to the town of New Paltz and all of our hiking adventures on the mountain. Also the price tag was very affordable. I hope to come back again soon!

We could not have been happier with our stay at Minnewaska Lodge. We traveled here from the west coast for a wedding and made the absolute right choice to stay a little off the beaten path- that being said Minnewaska was super conveniently located to small towns with good restaurants and the hiking trails. The view at the hotel itself cannot be beat. Bed and breakfast vibes with a touch of luxury! If you are staying in the area this is a must. Breakfast included with round the clock coffee and freshly baked cookies. Couldn’t recommend more.

Beautiful lodge with nice rooms. We were upgraded to a mountain view which was very pretty. The lobby is quite ski lodge like and comfortable. The breakfast was large enough and tasty. My only complaint is the air conditioner. It was very loud and woke us up several times during the night. Our bathroom was not one of the updated ones but was clean and roomy. We would definitely stay here again.

We absolutely loved our stay with the Minnewaska Lodge and our certain we’ll be back! Everything about our stay was lovely from the incredible beautiful property, outdoor and indoor seating Adirondack style, hiking trails, fire pits, and dog friendly amenities, not to mention very personable staff absolutely well manicured grounds & great cliff view from our balcony… only thing- room needed a little help with supplies, but other than that, it was perfect! If you can add parking spaces to the top level, that would be convenient for some of us who struggle with walking uphills a bit.. but again minimal issue for such an enjoyable stay!

A perfectly delightful Continental breakfast sent us on our way. The fireflies were amazing! The room was silent and the grounds were beautiful. The view of the mountains from our balcony was spectacular.

Cliff view is stunning. Stayed one night because of proximity to an event. Check in was less than smooth was told there was a problem with my card ,issued another, and was told it was still my fault. Turns out, I was properly charged at checkout so none of that was even necessary. Also, exactly 3:15pm on a Saturday there seemed to be someone on their hands and knees manually sanding the front deck. For such a quiet place, this was not an ideal way to enter.
Woke up tried to take a hot shower and what came out was warm. Would have been silly (as offered) to switch rooms at that point as were were just trying to leave. Discussed this with staff upon checkout, any compensation seems inconclusive and suggested we do not use Expedia in future to book.

The staff was so friendly and very accommodating with everything. The location was quaint and central to everything we wanted to do in the area. I loved the lodge vibe and outdoor area as well. This was my third stay at Minnewaska lodge. I always love it. The rooms are comfortable and quiet, the bath products are lovely smelling, and there is plenty of room in the dining/sitting area and outside by the firepit to relax and socialize or read . The staff are always friendly and go above and beyond. The private woodland setting is a wonderful base for visiting the area.

The common room was a joy to sit in, with delicious free cookies in the afternoons and smores for toasting in the outdoor fire pits in the evenings. The breakfast bar was also great. Free parking.

We had a wonderful stay. The lodge is very comfortable, the views of the back porch are spectacular, the trails are fun to explore, and all the people that work at the lodge are very nice and helpful.

We have stayed at this lodge many times over the years. It's great especially if you are hiking in Minnewaska. They have renovated some rooms and some common areas but there are many other areas that still need a refresh. Price per night has gone up considerably and we were expecting the lodge to be pristine. Also, they tacked on a \"resort fee\" to our already high rate and I am not sure what we got for that. Front entrance porch boards needs paint, hallway rugs are old/stained and renovated rooms still have tired bathrooms. Again, for the lower rate this would be fine but not for what we paid per night. Matt at checkin was friendly and welcoming. Walkable to the delicious German restaurant across the street. Breakfast was good but nothing special. Would stay again but only for a much lower rate.

My boyfriend and I had a great stay. The staff is kind and attentive. The place is clean, there’s games to play and tons of places around the property to sit and relax. The trails are nice (the red trail has a rock scramble we weren’t expecting but tried anyway and now continue to laugh about the experience.) All in all we really enjoyed our short stay at the lodge.

This is was our second stay at Minnewaska and this time we brought our kids. We love it here. It is peaceful and tranquil. The property borders the state park so you see a tall cliff on the grounds. The recently renovated, which made our stay even better! The grounds have various hiking trails to take advantage of and the staff are friendly and inviting. I highly recommend staying here if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of life!

Fabulous lodge for a mountain getaway with easy access to nature and trails. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. Staff are wonderful. If I could suggest one improvement, it would be having more of a pantry type market onsite since the only nearby restaurant (which is fabulous) closes quite early! Would absolutely stay here again.
