Breakfast was excellent for a continental breakfast. Surrounding area was beautiful. Room was comfortable. Bathroom was clean. History of the area is beyond fantastic.
Where they lack is in sharing where to go to experience the incredible American history that the area affords - there should be material at the front and in every room sharing the history of the area and the incredible state and federal museums to explore! Room was clean and breakfast was good with typical open buffet style. There was a hidden/surprise pet fee $75 per pet informed during check-in. I would appreciate this was informed in advance. Bathroom needs more towels and water pressure needs to be checked as it seemed to be clogged. Overall i enjoyed the stay.

Third time back, with family this time. Everything was beautiful as always. Lodge is always clean. Upgraded since last visit which was an extra surprise. Breakfast was fantastic. Centered around so many things to do. The one shall detail was checking in. I'm assuming someone was being trained. The young man that was doing the training was a tad too serious for a meet and greet. Check out was perfect. We will be back!

I booked a room to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. I ordered the flowers online and delivered to the lodge. The staff put the flowers in the room before we check in. Furthermore, they upgraded our room to theking bed with mountain view and also decorate our room for the birthday celebration. We really enjoyed this stay. The breakfast is great and they always have coffee, tea and cookies or pastries in the lobby. The only downside of this lodge is we could hear people walking upstairs, or talking next door. Overall, we really enjoy the stay.

I stood there last month for our anniversary. It was so nice and quiet. The staff were nice. If you want to eat you have to go into town there was a restaurant across the street but it was close the day I was there. The lodge is close to the park

It has a nice relaxing cabin feel (definitely a lodge) and that peaceful getaway was what we needed for 1 night. The Innkeeper was extremely helpful and friendly. Suite was nice. We put a puzzle together and took in the fresh air. Breakfast was just enough. You will need to bring food for lunch/dinner or fo out to eat (which we did bc we were celebrating a birthday). You could go alone to read, relax and take in the mountain range.

This will be our go-to place whenever we visit our daughter at college. The Minnewaska Lodge is in a beautiful spot. The common area and most rooms have a view of the Shawangunk cliffs. It’s a great place to relax after a hard day of skiing, climbing or hiking.

Maggie the receptionist was very pleasant. The breakfast was the best I have ever seen at a hotel. There were eggs, gluten free baked items, avacado, cereal, waffles, sausage, fruit, muffins, bagels, tea, coffee. All overlooking the back hill. The room was spacious. There are trail off the back of the property. The German resteraunt ( Mountain Brewhous) across the street was great. The wait staff wears German costumes. We went hiking in Minnewaska state park and saw the waterfall.

Room was clean, and the staff was nice. A little outdated with the furnishings. Was very noisy with the guests up above us most of the night. It snowed & parking was terrible with over crowding. Snow plowing could have been taken care of a little better.Lastly, at what the price for rooms cost here @ the lodge, at least make sure to fix the toilet seat so it stays up when usung it in room108..

The concierge lent me his laptop charger since I forgot mine. There were deer outside the window when we ate breakfast! The breakfast had GF options and REAL FOOD not just pre-packaged bready items. The campus was clean and quaint. Everybody was friendly. And it was a short drive to the town of New Paltz and all of our hiking adventures on the mountain. Also the price tag was very affordable. I hope to come back again soon!

We could not have been happier with our stay at Minnewaska Lodge. We traveled here from the west coast for a wedding and made the absolute right choice to stay a little off the beaten path- that being said Minnewaska was super conveniently located to small towns with good restaurants and the hiking trails. The view at the hotel itself cannot be beat. Bed and breakfast vibes with a touch of luxury! If you are staying in the area this is a must. Breakfast included with round the clock coffee and freshly baked cookies. Couldn’t recommend more.

Beautiful lodge with nice rooms. We were upgraded to a mountain view which was very pretty. The lobby is quite ski lodge like and comfortable. The breakfast was large enough and tasty. My only complaint is the air conditioner. It was very loud and woke us up several times during the night. Our bathroom was not one of the updated ones but was clean and roomy. We would definitely stay here again.

Everything about our stay was lovely from the incredible beautiful property, outdoor and indoor seating Adirondack style, hiking trails, fire pits, and dog friendly amenities, not to mention very personable staff absolutely well manicured grounds & great cliff view from our balcony… only thing- room needed a little help with supplies, but other than that, it was perfect! If you can add parking spaces to the top level, that would be convenient for some of us who struggle with walking uphills a bit.. but again minimal issue for such an enjoyable stay!

A perfectly delightful Continental breakfast sent us on our way. The fireflies were amazing! The room was silent and the grounds were beautiful. The view of the mountains from our balcony was spectacular.

Cliff view is stunning. Stayed one night because of proximity to an event. Check in was less than smooth was told there was a problem with my card ,issued another, and was told it was still my fault. Turns out, I was properly charged at checkout so none of that was even necessary. Also, exactly 3:15pm on a Saturday there seemed to be someone on their hands and knees manually sanding the front deck. For such a quiet place, this was not an ideal way to enter.
Woke up tried to take a hot shower and what came out was warm. Would have been silly (as offered) to switch rooms at that point as were were just trying to leave. Discussed this with staff upon checkout, any compensation seems inconclusive and suggested we do not use Expedia in future to book.

The staff was so friendly and very accommodating with everything. The location was quaint and central to everything we wanted to do in the area. I loved the lodge vibe and outdoor area as well. The morning complimentary breakfast was perfect and offered a wide variety of choices. I would stay here again. Thank you!

This was my third stay at Minnewaska lodge. I always love it. The rooms are comfortable and quiet, the bath products are lovely smelling, and there is plenty of room in the dining/sitting area and outside by the firepit to relax and socialize or read . The staff are always friendly and go above and beyond. The private woodland setting is a wonderful base for visiting the area.
