Very underwhelming service. Not able to change 2 weeks ahead of the stay date.
I made booking on a wrong day via Expedia portal. The date defaulted on a portal two weeks ahead. I have noticed my error as soon as I received email confirmation and the staff wouldn’t answer my calls nor messages to change the booking, even though it was 2-weeks ahead. Shocking service in a good looking hotel.

Enjoy a stay here

It was a really nice experience to stay here. Just a step away from the sea, with nice view from the window. Rooms are newly renowated and really clean.Breakfast was really good and fresh. Good coffee. Bad condition of the building outisde and for the swimming pool. No \"additional points\" unfortunatelly. Just to sleep and eat rather not spending and enjoying long time there.

Friendly hotel - great for families

Tasty and fresh breakfast, friendly staff (front and back office), recently refurbished hotel but missing my bathtub! slightly smaller rooms than in the past, but no problem.
Kids' play room - enjoyed by my son (table tennis was fun!). Perfect sea location, too. Recommended.

great location and poor service

the location is perfect, hotel is undergoing a renovation hence it might be a little dusty however the room we stayed in was freshly renovated
since it's a near-sea location there was a lot of sand on the floor and when we asked for cleaning services we were told to clean ourselves with a broom and dustpan that was not even in the room (at the check-in we were told we can ask for cleaning/towels when needed as this is on demand service during covid which turn out not to be true when we actually needed this service)

I am disappointed with the reception in general as our flush stopped working the first evening and when i called the reception at 10 PM their only comment was - sorry, technician comes back at 8 am we cannot do anything now... I did ask for room change and only after some argument we were offered the same room with sea view (after no offer receptionist offered us a standard room with no view and then magically found available room with the view after I refused to change room for lower standard)

This is not a service I expect for such a price.

The floor I was staying on was undergoing renovation, the carpets in the hallway were dirty, and whilst the room was nice and clean the communal areas were not the best...there was no real restaurant other than a small section by the bar which wasn't always manned. The breakfast was not good either...apart from the person who welcomed me on reception the staff were not friendly. I will not be going back. I expected more from the Novotel.

The lady on reception , I believe her name was Daria (sorry if I've spelt it wrong) was absolutely amazing , so helpful and freindly you couldn't ask for better, she helped translate for us , made phone call on our behalf (to find out if our pizza was enroute from a takeaway) . Sorted out our brekfast issue , generally an asset to the hotel.
The rooms were clean and beds extremely comfy.
The hotel is practically on the beach just walk through hotel gardens and straight out to a beautiful beach .

The cleaning staff was brilliant. Counter staff... it depends who was working. I got a room next to some refurbishment works in the old part even as I paid almost €500 for a single room and 1 week stay. They didn't want to sort it out saying I should ring Expedia! What a joke! only the last day of my stay I've got a free breakfast as I was able to speak to a supervisor/manager. Another thing is the pool. I choose the Novotel as they have a pool but it wasn't mentioned, the pool is also to be used by people from the outside. The pool is very small and always full. I didn't get a chance to use it even once. The gym was ok.

Just right for a relaxing long weekend away, lovely walkway behind hotel all along sea front with some lovely light cafes/ Restaurants. Staff very helpful and pleasing. Found Wi Fi up and down, could not get internet at times and when connected kept losing connection. Breakfast fine with plenty to chose from and staff quick to take things away when finished. Would recommend to anyone.

Great value for money when travelling with kids

The breakfast buffet was excellent; fresh, delicious and there were many choices. The location next to the beach is great. Children loved swimming in the sea and in the swimming pool of the hotel even the pool area may need some renovation during the coming years.

Nice family hotel, things to do in the hotel for kids, breakfast was great , everyone tastes catered for and eat as much as you like. Beach right out the back of the hotel and plenty of bars and resturants near by and sopot just down the promanade, second time i have been here and it is great for what ever ages.

I've stayed there with my family including 2 children. As it was raining for 3 days there was plenty to do in the hotel eg. gym, swimming pool, playground for kids, bar & restaurant. We didn't get bored! The Hotel service is friendly and the atmosphere is relaxing. Rooms are quite & very clean. Great location & perfect access to the beach.

Good for families.

We stayed here last year and loved it, which is why we returned this year. Unfortunately, it wasn't as rosy as we remembered. There are a lot of restaurants within walking distance, but last year they had a modestly priced dinner buffet, which is sadly no longer available. I also had forgotten about the noise. A lot of loud music and drunks that could still be heard from the eighth floor, even with the window closed. This usually ended by midnight, but unfortunately the nearby construction started by eight in the morning.

Some things were still good, the staff is helpful, the location is great for the beach, pool, exercise room, tennis, large buffet breakfast option, excellent for families, you can even bring your dog. Not sure we will be returning though.

We had a wonderful time and cannot say enough good things about the hotel. It was clean, reasonably priced, the staff was friendly and helpful, simply perfect!

We booked the room with full breakfast, this included scrambled or boiled eggs, assorted sausages, black pudding, baked beans or mushrooms (they alternated), an assortment of fruits, cold meats, cheeses, breads, sweet rolls, cereals, yogurt, juice, and hot drinks.

We also tried several things from the room service menu. Everything was excellent. The only complaint is that they did not seem to know what exactly a 'Club Sandwich' is, and sent some rather creative interpretations of this. Not bad, just not a club. The dinner buffet in the dining room was also good, a bit cheaper, but simpler food.

The location was perfect if you want to go to the beach. Along the path behind the hotel are several restaurants, we liked the one by the boat club. Excellent food if you're not in a hurry, and we recommend the apple pancakes. There is also mini-golf close by, and the pier is about 2 km away.

There are many activities in the hotel itself, for the whole family. Pool, exercise room, tennis, video games in the lobby, and more. We spent most of our ten days relaxing in or near the hotel.

We would definitely stay here again or recommend it to a friend.

Average Hotel in a great Beach location

There are pluses and minuses if you are thinking of staying here....No air-conditioning in the rooms....and No room safe in the rooms either....... Reception in fairness gave us a fan without charge..Shower was excellent and bathroom was spotless (if you have longer hair bring your own Hairdryer)... Breakfast was very good... The location on the beach is excellent and easily accessible from the hotel sun loungers are available to hire from hotel for 10 zloty per day.....the hotel pool needs an upgrade and looks a bit worn and stained in places .....didn't use the gym .... Didn't eat in restaurant as much better value to be had in Sopot or in the beach bars and restaurants along the route. Its a lovely walk into the centre ..... reception staff were very friendly printed off our boarding passes for the return trip (just email to them as an attachment and they will print off at no cost....... rooms while comfortable were worn in places and i just felt the hotel needs some care and attention to bring it up to good in my views....... going to Gdansk there is a tram stop 5 minutes from the hotel front door which will bring you to the centre for approx 4 zloty per person each way..Wifi .free wifi in hotel

Short solo break

This hotel is comfortable and quiet but is let down by the standard of the food and the area around the hotel. During the day, it is very good - close to public transport (several trams go into Gdansk centre) and right across from the beach. However, in the evening, it is very dark around the hotel and there are no restaurants (closest are in Sopot centre, about 20 min walk or taxi ride away). As long as you are aware of these things and they don't bother you, it is still a good hotel to stay at as the rooms are comfortable and it is good value.

Great Hotel

The hotel is right next to the beach, and has great sea views from room on the North side. It's about a 40 minute walk to the Monde Cassino area in Sopot and about a 25 minute taxi ride to the old town district of Gdansk. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The only minor criticism is the the carpet in our room was pretty old and beat up. More importantly though, the bathroom was very clean and the bed was comfortable. We will definitely stay at this hotel next time we visit Sopot and Gdansk.

it could be so much nicer

such a nice location. but the hotel needs to be refurbished, It had an old 90's, maybe even 80s feel to it. We did not purchases breakfast or parking since it was a bit pricey but there is a lot of free parking around the hotel. The view of the ocean is a big plus, and the free wi-fi was good. We got a \"4\" person room, but it just felt like a 2 person, and they added a sofa bed to it. Cramped, but clean. But it didn't really bother us, as we came to look around the city not stay in a hotel room. The hardworking staff was helpful and nice.

Ok for a stag do, otherwise avoid

We stayed here on a stag do in gdansk. The hotel is a lot closer to Sopot than Gdansk, which was great for us (as it's where the bars are), but not if you want to visit Gdansk. The bar service in the hotel was quite poor and we actually had to ask the lobby to find the barmen for us more than once as they had a tendency to disappear. The rooms clearly haven't been refurbished in years and were quite tired. The shop isn't open on weekends annoyingly. Gdansk and Sopot are great places, if I visit again though I definitely won't stay at this hotel.

The hotel was great and the personnel in the front desk. But never use the restaurant we stayed the there for half and a hour to sort out the bill. They did not charge for the kids meny correctly. And the staff working there was slow and unfriendly.

Novotel Gdandk Marina, Clean, Friendly, Recommende

The room was spacious and clean, with a view over to the pier. We used the indoor swimming pool twice during our stay, where the staff were friendly and the facilities more than adequate. The breakfast room was bright, airy and roomy, with a wide variety of foods on offer, all of high quality. The staff here were also polite and helpful. I would definately recomment this hotel, and we would stay there again should we return to this area.

We are quite happy with the hotel, really enjoyable walk next to the beach and really easy to walk to Sopot ( the next city to Gdansk) but quite far away from Gdansk. If you are looking for a place next to the beach that's your place, if you are looking for a place to stay next to the city and enjoy the night live, this is probably not your place.

Primo location right near Gdansk/Sopot beach

The Novotel at Gdansk seems actually to be much closer to Sopot. Nonetheless who gives a flying rip when you're right next to the beach.
We caught a taxi from the main railway station to the Novotel and were actually surprised by the distance involved. It was a good 15-20 minute taxi ride.

The hotel is great although in retrospect I wonder if it was a bit out of our league in terms of me and the boys having a bit of a getaway trip. We were travelling round by train and it really did seem like the kind of place you'd take the family in a car.
I guess also we were doing Europe on a bit of a budget and the price of the hotel bar put us off eating or drinking there.

The pool is great but why swim there when the beach is less than 100m away.

I'd have loved to have played on the tennis courts, which are run by a private owner. I emailled the guy and had teed up a time with him, however he wanted me to play later. What's up with that?

Quiet and easy hotel just at the borderline of Gdansk and Sopot, near beach but far from centrums. Family-oriented, rooms just enough for 2 adults and 2 children, hardly for the fifth. Nice and clean, kids loved the swimming pools downstairs.

The hotel is from 90's and a bit dated in its decor. Carpets in hall ways seemed stained with evidence of a cleanup. The rooms were clean and well maintained. considering the price and hotel rating. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel has a small pool but large enough for a couple of laps and for kids to play. The location is great - a short 2-3 min walk from the beach. It is also not too far from Sopot's famous boardwalk - about 1hr fast paced walk. Breakfast which sometimes is included in the price of the room (it was not in our case) was sufficient for the price. It contained a variety of different dishes, meats, fish, fruit, eggs. All tasted fresh and delicious. At times the staff did not replaced empty serving dishes quickly enough but for the most part we had no complains. We had no problems during our stay. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel.

Is very near the beach, with an easy bus to sopot center and a tram to gdansk and the airport. if you ask the information desk at the airport they will tell you everything you need. It is a huge hotel with a nice swimmiing pool, the attendents are not so friendly as they suppose to be. The restaurant is ok, but do not extremmely good. the breakfast is too god.

OUTSTANDING Hotel in all aspects HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

On arrival to the hotel we were greeted by very kind, welcoming staff who spoke English very well. We were given a choice of rooms and chose a room on the 2nd floor as all the rooms above the 5th floor had not been renovated yet. Our room was situated at the back of the hotel overlooking the SPECTACULAR sea view, sandy beach, hotel gardens & tennis courts. The room was large with 2 comfortable single beds, plenty of storage space, fridge freezer stocked with variety of soft & alcoholic drinks, dressing table with mirror & lights and a 21\" flat screen lcd which had a local TV channel that played modern English movies every 2 hours. The bathroom was new including bath, shower, towels, shower gel & shampoo. The room was cleaned, carpets hovered, sheets changed every day.The breakfast was available downstairs or brought to your room. It consisted of cold meats, cheeses, cereals, variety of bread, rolls, croissants, pastries, hot scrambled and boiled eggs, sausages, hash browns, polish meat, sliced potatoe chips, tea, coffee & various juices. The recreation area was located on the lower ground floor. Theres a small gym with all the essentials, medium size heated pool graduating from 2m deep to shallow with a sectioned off area for small children with a slide and water toys. Towels are provided by the hotel. The sauna was clean and hot with a shower & cold tub nearby. From here one could take a 1min walk to the beach. The staff are at hand 24/7 to help with anything.

We went to the restaurant and the staff was very unpleasent to our 2 year old child and made us feel very uncomfortable. Bar Staff was unpolite pinda service.

Ankommer kl 04:00 og bliver opkrævet betaling for 3 hunde, selvom vi oplyste, at vi skulle køre kl 07:30. De krævede over kr. 100 pr. hund pr. nat.
Værelset ok. Morgenmad ok og rimelig pris.
Jeg kunne have ønsket lidt mere fairness. Hunde i bur sviner ikke mere ved 2 overnatninger, end ved 1.
Parkeringen kr. 120 pr. døgn og for 3,5 time. Ja, så er der betalt.

Fint hotell med nærhet til strand

Fint plassert hotell, rett ved stranden. Vi likte godt at det var litt utenfor sentrum av Sopot, slik at det var roligere og mindre mennesker. Servicen kunne vært bedre, men her tror jeg engelskkunnskapene til personellet var medvirkende. Vi følte vi fikk lite informasjon om hotellet på engelsk.

Rodzinny pobyt w hotelu Novotel Marina Gdańsk

Jesteśmy bardzo zadowoleni z pobytu w hotelu. Obsługa na bardzo wysokim poziomie, wystrój, wnętrze pokoju bardzo dobrze przemyślane. Przepyszne jedzenie. Na największy plus zasługuje możliwość wybrania wegańskiej obiadokolacji 💚 oraz bliskość do morza 💙

Bardzo blisko do plaży, spacerkiem nad molo w Sopocie.
Dobre posiłki i nie drogie. Serwis do pokoju :) . Trochę mało kanałów tv. Ogólnie bardzo pozytwywnie choć pokój dla jednej osoby mógłby być tańszy.

Wszystko na plus

Czysto, smacznie, przy samej plaży. Pokój po remoncie, fajny niewielki basen, plac zabaw dla dzieci. Cicho, nie słychać ulicy ani imprezowiczów. Plaża szeroka, brak tłumów pomimo środka sezonu.

We were sleeping in the renovated part of hotel that was super nice. Service also on very high Level. Very good and fresh food. The only downsides: pool - not super nice. Lockerrooms on very bad level. Additional bed not very comfortable

Hotel wybrany ze względu na koncert w Ergo Arenie. Dostaliśmy pokój przed remontem - zapewne przez psa. Pokój klimatyczny jak za czasów PRL. Sufit podwieszany. Brak możliwości poruszania się w toalecie (bardzo bardzo mało miejsca). Widok boczny na morze. Gdyby nie koncert w Ergo Arenie, zdecydowanie bym zrezygnował z tego hotelu. Jedyny plus, to lokalizacja do EA. Tylko 8 minut na piechotę. AAA i plus za akceptację zwierząt.

Bardzo komfortowy wypoczynek

Bardzo polecam. Dzieci zadowolone, piekna okolica, Żabka blisko, plaża obok hotelu. 10 min pieszo do pętli tramwajowej. Telewizja, lodówka, wygodne łóżka. Łóżeczko dla niemowlaka zapewnione. Piękny widok na morze i Sopot z 7.pietra. Sprzątanie codziennie na życzenie.

Ok hotell. Bra lokalisering.

Hotellet har mange nyrenoverte rom, men aircondition virket ikke i noen rom, og det luktet likevel kraftig fra noen bad. De nyrenoverte rommene er for øvrig veldig bra. Bassenget inne har behov for en oppussing. Personalet i resepsjonen prøvde å bortforklare problemene som om de var ukjente, men andre ansatte på hotellet bekreftet at de hadde vært kjent lenge. Frokosten var bra. Hotellet ligger også bra lokalisert på stranda, ca 25 minutters gåtur på strandpromenaden fra Sopot, og 15 minutters gåtur fra nærmeste togstasjon. Det er dagligvarebutikk på andre siden av gaten. Hotellet har stor parkeringsplass.

Trevligt boende precis vid standen. När vi var där pågick dock renovering vid poolen och gymet så det sänker vårt betyg lite... annars bra! Bra mat och trevlig personal. Rummen var fräscha men lite nergångna, hade kunnat byta ut heltäckningsmattan!

Hotellet är eg trevligt och prisvärt, men det bar värmebölja i Polen och hälften av deras rum är inte renoverade. Vi fick ett rum utan ac vilket var hemskt. Därav det sämre betyget. Annars är läget bra nära stranden. Frukosten jättebra och de renoverade rummen trevliga och kalla ;)

De ansatte var lite service innstilt, De reklamerer for spahotell med basseng som ser ut som hører til hotellet. Bildene lurte oss veldig. Bassenget var en offentlig badehall med mange svømmere som trener og vannet var kaldt, var offentlig treningsstudio med skitne garderober og dusjer til svømmehall. Masasjen som vi hadde gledet oss til å ta var på et lite slitent bakrom på treningssenteret som ikke var videre hyggelig. Personalet der kunne ikke engelsk så det var håpløst å forklare om hva vi ønsket av behandling. Massøren virket uerfaren.
Rommet vi fikk var fine, men det var ingen som byttet håndkle for oss eller fikset rommet mens vi var der, så det måtte vi si ifra om. Vi ønsket å reise på noen utflukter og vi spurte hotellet om de kunne anbefale noe da det ikke var engelske brosjyrer igje på hotellet, de viste ingen ting og siden svært få i Polen kunne engelsk ble det vanskelig å finne ut av ting. Beliggenheten til hotellet var fint, det lå nærme fine sandstrender og heller ikke så langt fra sopot sentrum. Frokosten på hotellet var bra.

Vi fick ett nyrenoverat rum som höll bra standard. Fantastiskt läge precis vid strandpromenaden. Orkar man inte gå till piren i Sopot så är taxi riktigt billigt, ca 20 PLN för den sträckan. Inomhuspoolen och omklädningsrummet (mixat både dam & herr) var dock slitet, men våra barn uppskattade poolen ändå.
