Loved the apartment. Very comfortable bed snd lovely bathrooms with spa and view. Fireplace great. The couch however was uncomfortable. Kitchen was adequate - beware no oven however we used the Webber bbq for similar effect. Could do with a platter for nibbles.

Great views but poor service. The woman who checked us in did not smile once so my husband tried joking with her but still nothing. There was no ironing board in our room and we had to iron clothes to attend a wedding at Beechmont. We phoned four times over 2.5 hours and they kept saying they would bring one. When they finally delivered it to the room, the staff member let themselves in our apartment and yelled from the open door that the ironing board was here. It was quite astonishing and very stressful. The apartment is lacking is other ways. For example we wanted to make a cheese platter but there nothing there for that so we used four plates. The lighting is very dim. There is a gas fireplace in the lounge room but we were still cold so we brought doonas into the lounge room. The apartment next door kept flying a drone so we had to close the blinds when taking a shower or getting dressed despite being on the top floor. I don't think we'll be returning.

We had a lovely stay in one of the Binna Burra Skylodge studios. We loved everything except the cafe hours, which weren’t conducive to getting out on an early-morning walk (9am-3pm). If the hours were 8am-2pm, I think a lot of people would be happier. A boot wash station with running water would have been handy, too. We were thrilled to find lots of coffee options in our room and we had everything we needed amenity-wise to self-cater. The view was stunning! We can’t wait to stay again soon. Thank you to the fabulous staff for taking such good care of us.

We had the most relaxing time at the Binna Burra lodge.
Our stay was over new years eve and we had four nights in one of the Sky Lodges (studio). Room was just great with stunning views, and enough facilities for us to cook our own meals (we did some shopping on the way).

The bathroom is great, and we enoyed a big bath (with a view) a couple of times during our stay.

There is a lovely bar (open on Fri/Sat only) and the Teahouse is a good option for dining as well.

The walks are amazing, with an abundance of wildlife and many tracks to chose from.

Only about 1 hr from the Gold Cost, it is very accessible with recent upgrades to the road making it an easy and comfortable drive.

They are currently constructing a new hotel (after the 2019/2020 bushfres), and we will definitely be back to see the result of this new build.

Loved every minute.

My wife and I stayed for a weekend, it was perfect. Multiple trail walks within 50m of our accommodation, extremely relaxing. A sky view cafe within walking distance. The most spectacular view you could ask for. I recommend the sky view lodges, they give you a walk about which is great to learn about the history or Binna Burra.

Absolutely amazing place to stay and explore the many walks in the beautiful area. Our room was very basic and quite dated but had an amazing view and ok for 2 nights. We were informed of complimentary morning and afternoon tea and cheese platter on our arrival. By the time we arrived for the cheese platter there was nothing left! I informed duty manager in departure who apologised and said it was meant to be replenished. No big deal for us but it was made out to be a ‘special offer’ !!!

I didn't like the booking from Expedia firstly. I had to pay extra for my accommodation which was a tent very basic, very dirty, and needs to be brought up to a suitable standard like locks on the door. Amenities need updating very run down. I understand they want to protect the environment but if you arrive late there is no shop to buy anything if you want to eat you can utilise the restaurant at the lodge but it is expensive. The whole place needs revamping very tired and rundown.

The view from the sky lodge was magnificent and exceeded expectations. The food at both the Lamington Café and the main dining room were better than expected. The room cleanliness could be improved as there was dust in the bathroom lights and on the furniture. I also wish there was a way to make it a bit more romantic (if you offered rose petals and a hamper, if there was a choice I wasn't aware) however I would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends and family.

The sky lodge rooms are expensive but the sunset views from the balcony are amazing. There is also a microwave and stove top in the room if you do not want to pay AUD30 per pax for breakfast and AUD45 each for dinner. The room condition is nice and new, with a jacuzzi tub and a pretty fake fireplace.

Sky Lodges for the views to die for!

If you have never stayed in the Sky Lodges, you're definitely missing out. The views are romantically breathtaking! Watch the sunrise and sunset from your balcony, the comfort of your bed and even bathtub! And don't forget the fireplace! Listen/watch the local wildlife whilst breathing in the fresh mountain air.
The local In-room entertainment could do with an update into 2019. The breakfast selections could also be improved but there are cooking facilities, so we'll DIY the food aspect next time.
The bushwalks nearby are short and sweet, so we'll definitely be back again to stay longer and walk further.

The views from this place are nothing short of amazing, views I have never seen from the bedroom / living room of accommodation facilities before. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and clean. If you are a fan of hiking / walking then this is the place for you, so many different trails to choose from. You really are in the wilderness and a great example of what we have right here on our door step in QLD. The BBQ was a bit short of gas but other than that, great for a weekend away.

Sky Lodge was fantastic - spent a weekend hiking around there. So many options for walks (but not much else around, so you do need to be into nature). Buffet dinner was solid country-style food, slightly overpriced but ok considering its on the top of the mountain. Quality of the breakfast did not live up to the price though. Recommend bringing your own, if you live in the Sky Lodge. Overall a fantastic stay, though.

Locality/Environment - rich and diverse, well maintained, wonderful views, good variety of walks (Grade 1 gentle, to Grade 3 semi-serious).

Room - (better than 10 yrs ago) King's Room - 2 x single beds jammed together, room rate very good, simple but pleasant decor, clean.

Restaurant - (worse than 10 yrs ago) manky old carpet, dingy ambience, weird dim lighting, fibreglass old fake wood tables, sticky varnish on timber, sharp brass nuts on massive heavy chairs, $45!!/ea for sub-R.S.L. buffet dinner, sub-R.S.L. 'coffee', friendly but patchy service.
Lodge Café gets everything wrong: cleanliness, variety, trading hours (deserted on Sat arvo, but at 4:57pm won't accept evening meals order), food quality, staff training, 1 looped album.

Facilities - wonderfully charming historic buildings, variety of accom levels (safari/glamp to honeymoon cabin).

Pack a lunch or pay a premium!!!!

You either eat at the restaurant, or you drive 40 minutes, or you bring your own food. There is a mysterious cafe very close by that was not opened.
The meal was exactly the same as an RSL cheapy, which is fine for what you pay, except this cost $45 per person and you have no other option! Breakfast was $30 per person so we decided to walk to the cafe which is the only place close by....which was closed and had no signs anywhere to say what times it opened. We went back to reception and they told us it was 9am. We went back at 9.15 and it was still closed. We went back to reception and they said we were wrong. We just left. The place has seen better days. One simple change- warm flourescent lights in the dining hall would make a big difference.

We enjoyed our stay a lot and loved the sky lodge we stayed in. Amazing views and it was great having a fire place in the room. Couldn’t have asked for better. Only disappointment with the room was that the spa didn’t work. We could fill it up with water but the actual spa didn’t make bubbles. Maintenance guy was having a look at it when we were leaving as we bumped in to him and told him. Unfortunately we couldn’t inform reception when we were using it as it was closed which is understandable. However, we did tell the receptionist when we checked out but she didn’t seem to care and so we found a lack of service there. She had been so helpful the other days so this surprised us. The spa was one of the main reasons to why we chose that room. We had dinner one evening and it was so nice of the chef to come out and talk to us and tell us a bit of the history of Binna Burra Mountain Lodge. The spotlight tour on Sunday evening was the best!! I loved the guide’s humor and how she shared her knowledge with us. We went again the day after but to our disappointment the guide was not good at at all. She gave the torch to a child and said that there was nothing to see until we got further down on the road. My partner was super excited to see birds and the first day we actually saw the birds on the parking lot so we were disappointed that she didn’t care about it then. We didn’t let any of this ruin our trip as it’s only details. Definitely going back some time :D

The lodge is just cosy and beautiful we found the buildings interesting architecture.
The rainforest walks were stunning, some of the best I have done.
Great play area for kids.
The complimentary morning and afternoon tea and cheese platter at sunset was a really nice touch, creating a community feel.
We ate breakfast and dinner in the gorgeous dinning room. In busy times it’s communal dining which was a hugest way to meet other hikers and swap stories.
Food was good, not amazing but good hearty food.
The only downfall was the school holiday activities for kids were always full but can’t Pre book, at times they didn’t even display what’s on offer , so we didn’t use.
Watch out for ticks, we all got one.
Overall very happy and will return.

Old cabins need some attention

Stayed in the old part of the lodge in mid winter. Room 35. Heating was fine and had four beds. Downside is that it is a duplex with paper thin walls with a noisy family next door which was unpleasant till they went to sleep. Room/ensuite is tired , cobwebs above the bed and uncleaned teaspoons from prior guests suggests cleaning needs improvement.
The area is wonderful for walking etc.

Overall a very enjoyable stay. It’s just the little things that detracted, like a cheap stereo system that couldn’t play our movies stored on USB, a dusty room and no coffee machine (the plunger coffee was nice though). However, the bed was very comfortable as were the pillows and the bathroom-shower-bath was 5 star. The gas powered simulated wood fire was nice. The view was fantastic, but ruined at times by vehicle noise from the sole access road that ran beneath the resort. The resteraunt/bistro was fully booked Saturday night, meaning for dinner we had to go to the cafe up the end of the access road. But, it’s the walking tracks that we came for and we weren’t disappointed. The views are majestic, the tracks easy to follow and well maintained. Would I go back? Yes, in a heart beat. I’m looking forward to my next lot of leave so I can return.

This was a spontaneous change to our plans, based on the recommendation of someone in Byron Bay, and we were blown away by the beauty -- so wonderful to enjoy a change of scenery from the beach scene. We had a fabulous room in the sky lodge, with a truly breathtaking view. And we loved the guided hike we did through the rainforest and waterfalls. The only thing that could use some improvement was the food -- especially for vegetarians. My dinner was basically just a plate of overcooked vegetables (for $39!), and had zero protein or taste. Also, there's no wi-fi (particularly important to note for overseas guests such as us, who have no connection otherwise!). But we absolutely loved our stay here and highly recommend it.

The rooms are spectacular with the most perfect view. The grounds are well kept and staff are friendly. Instructions upon arrival are clear and helpful.

The skylodges themselves are a well put together set of buildings that nestle into their surroundings. When you are inside you literally feel like you are on top of the world, scoring higher than the birds.

There is a bit of noise transfer between rooms but not so bad that it makes you feel uncomfortable.

Great nature lovers retreat

Stayed with my German friend for 3 nights. The heritage listed accommodation is basic but totally appropriate for the kind of bushwalking experience that we sought. Staff were super friendly, the accommodation and shared facilities were spotless and best and most of all the walks and hikes are brilliant. We did two of the 12 km walks and on each hike, we enjoyed the scenery, the vastness of the Australian terrain and the wonderful views. Ideal place to get away from it all if just for a few days.

Binna Burra Mountain Lodge is perfectly positioned to allow you to do lots of absolutely gorgeous walks in Lammington National Park. Just park your car when you arrive and leave it, as all walks radiate from the lodge. The views from the lodge are gorgeous and the sunsets stunning. We got the dinner, bed and breakfast package, and the food is great. There are guided walks at no extra charge, and they'll arrange a packed lunch too if you like (extra charge for this). There are other evening activities too like trivia nights, and documentary viewings. Wonderful friendly staff. Rooms are simple but very comfortable. You'll just love the beauty and peacefullness of the whole gorgeous area. All one hours drive from the Gold Coast.

Basic accommodations in lovely setting

Rooms small and dark. Very basic. Shared bathroom facilities. Very expensive for what you get. Guess that they have to haul things up there. No WiFi. Check in staff OK. Guided trips to areas in park are excellent. Park is priceless experience.

Such a wonderful choice. Binna Burra Mountain Lodge is in the middle of the national park. All the walks are close by. Very happy with the accommodation - great value for money. Make sure you get the special deal with dinner and breakfast included. Beautiful views. Will stay again

Rainforest retreat.

We spent an enjoyable three nights at Binna Burra. We did some short walks and participated in some of the organised activities. We saw lots of wildlife on an evening spotlighting walk.

All the family were very impressed with the standard of the accommodation. loved the walks and the grandkids had a great time on the flying fox. They said they would be back again. Dinner on the Saturday night was great.

Loved this place only wished I knew it was here before! Comfy warm bed with beautiful 5 star hotel linen, gorgeous spa bath, huge bathroom with nice bath products and excellent firm, built in single bed under an expansive window to play Bananagrams on and drink our wine. Loved it.
