The best service one could ever ask for

We booked Savoy for its great location and 5 start rating. Unfortunately my wife get extremely sick the day we arrived (from food she ate at the airport on our journey to Seychelles) and eventually needed hospitalisation in an emergency situation one night - an extremely stressful and worrying experience, especially being so far from home. However, the hotel staff were truly incredible and became our family away from home. When my wife needed hospitalisation during the night, the night managers made all of the arrangements for us to get to the hospital as quickly and safely as possible, and were physically present during our emergency. One of the restaurant staff also came with us to the hospital after her late evening shift due how ill my wife was and concern with the situation - she stayed with us in the hospital until 4am and went to and from the hospital with us, which we are incredibly grateful for. When we returned to the hotel at 4am, the managers were on standby and ensured that the chef had prepared specially made meals for my wife, which they also did throughout the remainder of our stay. The staff were incredibly attentive, caring and gave us incredible service to ensure they did everything they could to make our stay as good as possible in the circumstances. A very big shout out to Abdullah (reception manager), Armia Moussa (night manager) and Gaelle (restaurant staff) who all helped us during our emergency - they went above and beyond and we are forever grateful!

Savoy Resort proved to be an excellent choice, particularly for families. Its prime location near the beau vallon beach, coupled with amenities like a swimming pool and diverse restaurants, made for a comfortable stay. The highlight was definitely the extensive breakfast buffet. We also appreciated the modern rooms and pervasive Wi-Fi throughout the compound. Our only disappointment was the use of plastic water bottles in the rooms, which felt at odds with their stated environmental accolades

I had a wonderful stay at Savoy Seychelles! The rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean, and thoughtfully designed—with a walk-in wardrobe, a great bathroom, and a large balcony perfect for relaxing. The breakfast spread was generous and varied, and the specialty dining options were truly delicious.

What really stood out was the service. The staff were consistently helpful and friendly, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. A special mention to Abdel—ask him anything, and he’ll not only help but offer the perfect solution with a smile.

Overall, a fantastic experience. Would highly recommend!

The Savoy was the first stop on our honeymoon and I must admit I was a little underwhelmed. The staff were all lovely but unfortunately we stayed when the beach football was on in the Seychelles and to say the footballers got priority would be an understatement. While it's understandable, we'd paid out our own money so things like having to sit outside for breakfast because footballers took up 90% of the air conditioned restaurant was disappointing (although not as disappointing as the breakfast itself - if it's not included in your stay it's absolutely not worth the money they charge you for it!!) the location was good but it's unlikely we'll be back to a Savoy in the future.

Seychelles Savoy Spa and Resort is situated on one of the nicest beaches I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. The property itself is looking a little dated and needs an upgrade and improvement of the grounds. As it was my wife’s birthday I requested a special birthday recognition for her. They staff agreed to provide some type of recognition within our room however they failed to do anything and only birthday desert was offered during our dinner. Unfortunately, I can not say the Savoy is a 5 start facility more of a 3.5-4* at best…

Room and premises are old and need much repair. My bathroom had mold, shower door did not close properly therefore my floor would be cover in water after our showers making it extremely dangerous. Room had a musty smell even with the air conditioning on. Extremely dissapointed with this hotel. I was also charge twice for a cocktail that now I have to disputer.

This hotel is far from the Savoy standard we enjoy in London. It has 5 star status but the facilities, staff, service do not justify this level. The prices are set at 5 star plus, however the overall experience is far from that level. Poor maintenance, poor staff attention, payment demanded for basic things -like water during half board meals! More like a Mediterranean 3 star standard but will less attentive staff. Save your money and book a lower grade boutique hotel and then eat in the better quality and managed independent food venues. That is what I will do next time.

The hotel has a gorgeous setting and superb rooms. The service however was far below expectations. Our bags were left in reception for 2 hours after check in and even then we ended up collecting them ourselves. We waited over 30 minutes at the café to buy pastries for lunch and eventually went elsewhere. Towel service for the pool began at 8am (odd in itself when sunrise was 6am) I waited 15 minutes and again no staff were around. Food at the gecko restaurant had to be returned as it was served cold, both rice and chips.

I recently stayed at Savoy Resort & Spa in Seychelles, and I have mixed feelings about the experience. The hotel itself is lovely, with beautiful decor and comfortable accommodations. The serene atmosphere makes it an ideal spot for those looking to unwind and enjoy some peace and quiet.

However, if you're seeking activities and entertainment, this may not be the best choice. The hotel offers very limited options for things to do, and the surrounding area is equally lacking in attractions and events. It's perfect for a relaxing escape, but if you're hoping for a more dynamic vacation, you might be disappointed.

One concerning aspect of the trip was the interaction with some of the locals. Unfortunately, we encountered a few individuals who seemed sketchy and even attempted to scam tourists. This left a bit of a negative impression and made me feel less at ease when exploring outside the hotel.

The most significant downside was the food. Both at the hotel and in nearby establishments, the cuisine was disappointing. It lacked flavor and variety, making dining a rather lackluster experience. It's a shame, as I expected more from such a beautiful destination.

Overall, while Savoy Resort & Spa offers a quiet and beautiful setting, the lack of activities, questionable local interactions, and poor food quality detracted from the experience. It's unfortunate that such a stunning island isn't better maintained or developed to its full potential.

Location wise was 10/10. It’s right on a beach with many restaurants and bars nearby. If you don’t have a car, you do have a lot within 5 minutes walking distance.

The majority of the front desk staff were wonderful. The only exception was one man on the front desk who was cold, sharp and derogatory when we requested a late check out. “You know it’s charged?” he said, in a condescending voice. He wasn’t of much help but he thankfully was an exception.

Breakfast was decent and I would definitely recommend to include it in your booking.

The hotel staff are excellent. We had Chef Prasad at buffet dinner looking after us, Chef Betty during breakfast whi was really nice, Abdul at reception (along with Denis and Nelson) who was very accommodating and then many other hotel staff (don't know all their names) who were always smiling and being friendly.

This made our experience truly memorable being around kind people. It's people (like the names mentioned above) that really made us happy. They also did a few extra things due to it being our anniversary.

The hotel facilities are fantastic and the location was the best as it was right by Beau Vallon beach!! We could literally walk out of our room and be by the beach within a few mins!!

Beach and hotel is surrounded by green mountains. Sea is shallow to swim with some nice waves. There are also a few diving centres nearby along with some water sports options. Other restaurants along the beach too if you want to try different options.

Weather is a little unpredictable but generally it's sunny and hot with the occasional rain now and then. Many fellow guests had travelled a very long way to get here. 1 family changed 3 flights to spend their holiday in Seychelles!!

Overall Seychelles is expensive but it certainly is a memory worth having as a couple or as a family. At Savoy we had everything we wanted within close proximity with very friendly hotel staff!

After a disappointing start we enjoyed our stay. Like others have stated we asked for an early check in they just refused saying the hotel was fully booked. Our observation around the pool/car park/spa etc very few people for a fully booked hotel!!
Our room was clean and spacious with a patio which we enjoyed. Bed comfortable.
My husband really enjoyed using thd Spa facilities he was completely alone!. Staff very friendly and helpful apart from checking in staff and management. The access to the beach was good basically you walk past the swimming pool. Security at the edge of the beach. We didn't eat at the hotel. We hired a car easy to get to Victoria/ Airport and other places.

The property is tired and horrendously over-priced. Food and drinks are extortionate and it’s more a 4 star at 6 star prices.
Waited 3 hours and 3 phone calls asking for them to find an hdmi cable as the TVs aren’t smart ones…. Gave up in the end. Seems the hotel pockets the service charge and doesn’t pass it on to the staff which is a shame …. Tennis court is not fit for purpose and the pool was dirty with tiles falling off the surroundings.

Lovely place to stay, but we did book a Deluxe Ocean side view room – and there was no view of the ocean.
Our room also had problems with: the fridge not working, the air-conditioning not working, the basin plugs not working, some lights not working, the TV not working and the double lock to the balcony being very, very hard to unlock [after being locked by staff every day]. All were relatively quickly resolved, but for the price paid, we shouldn't have experienced this.

In my opinion Savoy overall is beautiful! Right next to a beautiful beach where you can see and meet locals, see Mountains and walk to restaurants.

After a couple of room fails (one of our rooms had a leakage), the manager was nice enough to provide an amazing upgrade, and after 2 days traveling, we were just happy to sleep in a bed!

Things will happen when you travel, so I will not blame Savoy for having us check in later than 2pm, but the only complaint I will share is their restaurant prices. I walked to a local store and paid whats equivalent to 2 US dollars for their local beer, and at one of their restaurants, I paid almost $20 for this beer on Tap! The price is outrageous and its not even an imported beer.

Their brunch restaurant and menu was spectacular, their staff friendly and always willing to help.

Fabulous stay on a glorious island

We had an amazing honeymoon, staying in a 'standard' double at the Savoy, which far exceeded our expectations. A walk in wardrobe with a glamorous standing bath and double sink, a king size bed and an outside seating area with twice daily room cleaning.

The highlights were the food and the beach: the food at the main hotel restaurant was fantastic, with a different theme each evening and various options cooked to perfection, with impeccable service by chefs and waiting staff. The hotel has a walk directly onto a beautiful beach, stretching the west coast of the island, with a second restaurant Gecko Bar handily located with food and drinks available to order direct to sun lounger. The Gecko bar is also great to sit in, with excellent lunch and cocktail options and, again, very friendly service.

The main pool at the hotel is also fantastic, with great facilities and ample sun loungers, and there is a separate spa area with a second pool and spa area for additional services.

Highly recommend the hotel and general Beau Vallon area for anyone considering the Seychelles as a holiday destination!

We had a lovely stay at the Savoy. Our room was nice, it had a lovely big bath and we enjoyed the evening sun on the balcony. The breakfast was also amazing - it was great to have such fresh fruit and everything else there.

The gym was in desperate need of a deep clean, there were drops of sweat around every machine and it felt sticky. They also weirdly only gave us one spare toilet roll a day so it was annoying to have to ask for more. We are coffee in bed kind of people and the coffee was just instant with creamer, you could pay for pods however that felt a bit cheeky given it's a 5star hotel.

The property is stunning and the staff accomodating. The ease of accessing the beach and shops nearby is great.The let down for me was the fooos. The ala carte n options did not live up to the proce charged foe them, you were charged for anything beyond 2 bottles of water . And while they attempted to be communicating the last day miscommunication of my transfer was frustrating. Having the driver vent hisnfrustration about me in front of me was frustrating. Other than that, it was good.

This hotel was built in 2014. And rated 5*. Overtime obvious wear and tear. It now needs an overhaul especially in the main indoor dining area as dated. The food was okay. I would now say the rating is 4*. £300/night B&B was expensive. The staff were nice. The most irritating issue was the poor Wi-Fi signal…

Great family resort with a lot of greenery

The resort is located very well on the beach although public but secluded area for hotel guests. Very green resort and with naturally growing fresh fruits. Large pool and comfortable beds. Service of staff was awesome. Especially front desk staff Anna and Sheldon. In the food area Vaasana was very helpful and courteous. Overall it was a great place for family. Kids club was good. The wifi was slow owing to high usage. But manageable.

Overall it was a wonderful experience. The food, the service and the facilities were all perfect. The proximity to the beach was just right, very easy walking distance and the on-site and nearby dining was top notch. My only issue is they have very outdated slow WiFi but I suppose if you are there to unplug and enjoy the spa, beach and pools it’s not an issue. I think on our next visit we will rent a car, it’s less expensive than taxis. In any case, drivers were very nice and helpful, very friendly people. Also next visit we will bring more spending cash as most local shops prefer their local currency and things are very expensive here compared to other countries. It was totally worth the every penny for the breathtaking views and beauty of this island experience is one of a kind. Highly recommended stay, great value for the price!

Great place - not quite 5 star.

Grounds of hotel and the main pool are gorgeous with a ‘tropical garden’ feel. The pool has a fantastic layout with lovely wide steps for lounging. Sun-beds are comfortable with plenty of space around each pair. A little disappointed that some of the sun-bed covers are stained and have ripped seams and the towels that are issued via a card system are very old, frayed, too small and you’re only allocated one per person. It’s lovely to be able to walk out of the hotel grounds, across a pathway and directly onto the beach - perfect place for a fantastic sunset. There are several bars/restaurants/take away food trucks within a 1 - 10 min walk from hotel beach entrance.
Our Savoy suite was a very generous size, with good amenities and a lovely view from the balcony. Cleaning and re-supply of toiletries and tea, coffee, water was very good.
Unfortunately WiFi wasn’t great. It was slightly better in the room than at the pool but I understand that this is an island wide issue. I was able to do most things that I needed WiFi for just at a considerably slower pace than usual.
The staff at the hotel are lovely however we had a disappointing arrival which didn’t create a great first impression. No-one to help with the bags from the car, no welcome drink whilst we waited to be checked-in and a drink and crisps on the floor left from previous guests and not cleared up.
Plenty of choice of good food at the buffet breakfast. The restaurant was often busy with a slightly chaotic feel.

I really liked the view from this property depending on which wing they put you in. The first time I was closest to the water with an amazing balcony view of the ocean. The second time, I was in 1105 which had NO view of the ocean so I would ask them to put me closer to the water so I can actually see it. I was unable to get a late checkout even when asking at check-in time regardless of whether I paid for it or not. This was quite difficult for us since our flight did not leave Seychelles until 11:55 pm. I guess that I could have emailed them sooner but I feel like they have additional rooms available for this kind of scenario and was very disappointed and made for a terrible last day hanging out at the hotel and not really having a place to relax.

Awesome hotel on awesome beach

A true 5 star hotel resort on a beautiful beach in an amazing country! Checking in was seamless. Awesome pool that was huge! Great room service. Modern room with balcony and a beautiful view out to the sea. Beach attended to with chairs on request complementary for guests. Had a flight at 11pm and was allowed to check out at 8pm for 100 Euros charge which was totally worth it!

I really enjoyed my stay!

This is one of the nicer hotels on the island of Mahe and in Seychelles more broadly. The staff is wildly friendly and helpful and will go out of their way to make you comfortable. Here are the quick list of Pros and Cons

Pros:
- staff the amazing!
- facility is clean and updated nicely
- pool is large and has plenty of seating
- location is decent and right on the beach
- hotel security is good
- there are universal electric plugs in every room
- food and coffee are available on site
- there are many bars and restaurants that are walking distance away

Cons
- google maps will lead you to a dead-end. they need to update the map location for google
- there is no public jacuzzi, only a pool
- the food is not excellent quality. dont get me wrong, the food is good and nice, but for a hotel of this caliber, i would expect the food to be nicer.

Horrible, especially for people who travel a lot

WARNING , THIS HOTEL IS LESS THAN 3 STARS ! For well traveled tourist its a nightmare !
1. Room service menu is 6 items to eat and one of them is not available ! Covid locks does not allow you to move, there is no delivery service . We are sitting hungry . Order takes 1-1,5 hours.
And than order return due to poor quality ( see picture).
2. You can't put your room service on the room , you need to pay CASH . Its not 5 stars hotel.
3. There is no ATM service in the premises ! How do you pay for your food ? If you can't pay card.
4. Spa closed, gym closed, swimming pool closed.
5. Staff is friendly but too bothering and needed attitude for tips.
6. There is NO privacy, they do not let us sleep even, they call 2-3 times a days to your room phone, they knock on your door with \"do not disturb\" sign.
7. They stoped us going to breakfast , which is included!
8. There is no social distancing, staff is coming and talking to you 30 cm away from you.
9. Health manager was so rude and shouting at us.
10. Most of the staff are local hotel staff and they are horrible , very slow understanding and difficult to explain, always show needy attitude with no professional skils.
11. Room is very far away from these pictures booking.com or hotels.com, very small, all is dirty and scratches everywhere. Shower extremely dirty !
12. Birds in your plates , you cant get rid if them, poop and fur everywhere on the tables and forks.
13.Internet is ZERO, like Dial up!

A few staff were excellent but most were average. My wife has allergies but they got this wrong a couple of times for which she paid the price.

Not a particularly friendly hotel, wouldn’t recommend it although the property is excellent. Go stay in Praslin rather than Mahe too.
