Traditional hotel that had plenty of character, good parking and a super location. However, the furniture, carpets, etc all felt a bit dated. Breakfast was a bit on the basic side.
I'd go back though. The town centre was really good, loads of bars and restaurants that seemed exceptional value.

Nice, old hotel. Decent free breakfast. Dinner was a bit “stuffy” for my tastes but the tables were busy so it must be good. Luggage storage behind the front desk was no problem at all when we asked if we could leave our bags and walk around town.

My parents and I stayed here in October 2022. Our experience could not have been any better, starting right from the moment Brigitte welcomed us with such joy and warmth. She was wonderful, as was this hotel. There is an old world charm here, and this is also true of Memmingen, which this hotel sits right in the heart of. I hope to someday make it back to Memmingen, and will stay here as without question my first option.

The staff was friendly and the hotel is convenient to the train station and quaint little town. The parking is right across the narrow cobblestone street. The first room we were in the AC wasn't working, so they moved our rooms and the second AC was noisy but otherwise the service and rooms were excellent.

Very good hotel and great location. Memmingen is a wonderful and quiet town. We enjoyed everything very much.
The rooms are comfortable and clean, the parking was also very close. The hotel's restaurant was very good and we had dinner there.
The breakfast is 6 Euro per person but well worth it, we enjoyed two-day of it.

We only stayed there less than a night as we needed to catch an early morning flight. Check in was quick and easy. Room was a decent size and perfect for the 4 of us over night. Restaurant downstairs didn’t have much on the menu that was kid friendly so we went else where. Lots of restaurants to chose from within walking distance and shopping opportunities. Free parking is available but looked small. We needed a taxi for a 04:15, staff called for us at check in and taxi was there at 04:10 waiting for us! 10 min drive to airport. Would highly recommend!

Ask for a room with air conditioning

We arrived late at night and the room we were given had no air conditioning and the windows didn’t open so it was unbearably warm. We asked the staff to change rooms and he was very accommodating. We were given a new room and the desk clerk told us he would turn on the A/C. I’m not sure why he wouldn’t have given us that room in the first place since it was available. The room was fine, no frills but fairly spacious. Located on a quiet street with cafes around the corner.

The hotel is described as non- smoking but stinks of cigarettes. I was showing shocked the hotel gets good reviews for this reason. The location is good and walking distance to many restaurants. Staff is friendly. Street noise is loud in rooms from people standing below.

Lovely town, and wonderful Hotel! Very clean and friendly staff, spoke English and were very helpful. Rooms were nice, and great location. If you happen to be there in the middle of July they have a wonderful little festival called Fischerstag that we stumbled upon that was amazing! It has been celebrated here since the year 608. It passed right outside our hotel room too! Would highly recommend this location if you are staying in Memmingen. Canals run throughout the city which was a pleasant surprise. Plenty of food options nearby, restaurants, markets Etc. Big shopping area within a couple blocks of the hotel, with lots of different merchandisers.

What a Great Hotel!

My wife & I stayed here for just one night in mid-January before flying out of Allgau Airport the next morning but we were completely impressed! First, they have a dedicated parking lot directly across the street... this was very convenient... and is somewhat rare, for a decent-sized, historic hotel in a town center setting. The building exterior is very attractive & well maintained as is the interior with lots of tasteful and historic decor. Check-in was quick and the staff was very friendly & welcoming! We had dinner that evening and breakfast the next morning in the hotel's restaurant... the food was wonderful and very reasonably priced. I highly recommend this place and anticipate staying here again before a future flight or even to just explore this town some.

This charming hotel is in the middle of the city and within walking distance of everything. It is an old hotel but has a lot of charm, is clean and quiet. The only negative was the lack of air conditioning in the rooms. We were on the third floor and the heat was unbelievable. We did pick the hottest day of the year to visit but still, air conditioning would have made our stay so much better.

The staff were very helpful in recommending a walking tour of the city and a good restaurant.

Good hotel, nothing to complain about. Everything went well. Some minor points:

a) A little overpriced (maybe 10-15%), but acceptable,
b) Free Wifi works well in the rooms, but its a pain to ask for vouchers and have to keep logging into the system. These days a one-time login is enough.

Plus points:

a) Service was good, people were helpful
b) Breakfast was good
d) Free parking was excellent.
e) Location was excellent, right in the old town, walking distance to everything

Delightful Hotel

This is a boutique hotel, family run and it shows. The owner is involved and really cares. The rooms are probably the cleanest I have ever experienced in a hotel. The location is a short walk from the train station and a very short stroll to the town centre.
The restaurant at the hotel was also excellent as was the service.

Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It's proud of it's history (used to be a brewery) and it offers a great, high quality, service. The room felt up to date and clean with the only slight minor being a window overlooking some bleak looking rooftops and other windows but there's nothing to help that matter. The room could also have done with some air con or a fan as it was a rather hot evening. The breakfast buffet was also fantastic with a great range of food on offer.

We had a family (quad) room for one night. It was a very nice, large, clean room. The staff were excellent and friendly and the included breakfast was extensive. There is free hotel parking in a secure lot right opposite the hotel and it is in the pedestrian-friendly old part of town. The only negative was that we didn't have time to explore more of Memmingen! Would stay again or recommend without question.

Good stop over for memmingen airport

Initially we were put in a room that hadn't been cleaned after the last guest. This took a while to sort out but eventually, we were moved to a new room and the staff were very apologetic. Room adequately sized for a family of 4. Excellent breakfast buffet. Location excellent, in the centre of this delightful small town. 10 minute bus / taxi ride from the airport and a short walk to the train station for our onward journey to the ski slopes.

The hotel is situated in a very quaint part of the town. Memmingham was a surprisingly beautiful town and this hotel was in the center, close to the town square. It appeared to be used mostly for business people which is not surprising since the airport was only 11 minutes away!
The breakfast was fabulous with loads of choice with attentive staff.
The rooms were spacious and the bathroom really big. The tiling and decor was a little tired but clean. No internet in the rooms (unless you were willing to pay a premium T-Mobile subscription) but internet available at reception.
Rather expensive but the location (convenience to airport) and the breakfast meant it was worth it!

Not a real 4 star

This hotel has many advantages, location, cleanliness etc, but I would consider it expensive compared with real 4 star hotels. Its a nice quality Guesthouse at best.
Breakfast was a very big let down; Scrambled egg, very fatty bacon & sausage served from in a tiny 'hot box' Staff are very slow to fill it up again when empty, Breakfast plates are only 7inches in size. There are also cereals, cheese & cold meats. Overall a 2 star breakfast with 1 star service.
Our bedroom was very nice but extremely hot & stuffy - no air conditioning, and the creaky floorboards were very hard to endure. Its OK but I cannot recommend.

Das Zimmer war ein langer Schlauch mit einer bodentiefen Tür am Ende. Der Blick ging gegen eine mannshohe schmutziggraue Wand in 1,5m Abstand. Nach oben war der Ausblick durch ein Metallgitter versperrt. Absolut unangemessen fand ich die Parkgebühr von 8€ für mein Motorrad auf einem unbewachten Platz im Freien. Das habe ich in Jahrzehnten selbst in 4-Sterne-Hotels nicht erlebt. Das Frühstück war gut und reichhaltig, aber es kostete ja auch nochmals extra.

Zimmer groß und modern eingerichtet, leider war es nicht wirklich sauber … am Bettlaken lange schwarze Haare und auch in Bad . Schlechte Isolierung oder zu laute Nachbarn… kann ich nicht beurteilen aber war bis 1 Uhr nachts wach wegen den Lärm über mir

Frühstück hat sich verschlechtert und um 9.00 Uhr musste alles angefragt werden (Besteck, Teller, Eier, Brötchen, Wasser)

Unser Zimmer hatte nicht wie in der Beschreibung eine Klimaanlage - auf Nachfrage wurde nur schulterzuckend gesagt das nicht alle Zimmer eine Klimaanlage haben und man solle beim nächsten Mal einfach anrufen und explizit darum bitten. Diese Aussage hilft natürlich nicht wenn man nur einmal Gast ist.

Wir sind regelmäßig Gast im Hotel und ich hätte mir gewünscht das man mehr auf Kritik und Wünsche eingegangen wäre.

Vi stannade här på väg från Kiel söderut i Europa. Perfekt avstånd från Kiel, om man vill komma lite längre första dagen. Suveränt med familjerum till bra pris. Mycket trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Ligger centralt i typisk mindre tysk stad. Lätt att parkera. Rekommenderas starkt!

Tolles, zentrales Stadthotel mit sehr freundlichem Personal. Zimmer sauber und zweckmässig. Das Schlafen bei sehr warmem Wetter ist schwierig, wenn die Klimaanlage nicht bedienbar ist und die Matratze noch mit einem Gummianzug versehen ist. Das Morgenbuffet im Restaurant ist grosszügig und frisch. Die Weinkarte scheint nicht aktuell zu sein, da zwei Weine darauf nicht mehr verfügbar waren. Komfortabel ist der kostenlose Parkplatz gleich gegenüber des Hotels
