Holiday Inn Reggio Emilia - great choice

Perfect place to stop.over for Reggio Emilia just off the A1. Good facilities, excellent breakfast and the restaurant served good quality food. The bed was a little small for two but there was a pull out bed option. Reggio is a nice town to explore, it can be done in half a day. Try the regional sweet pumpkin ravioli pasta and cheese. Delicious

Hotel does not cater for vegetarians/Vegans for breakfast. Toaster was broken and not replaced/fixed for duration of stay (3Nights) raised as issue with reception but nothing achieved.

Nice hotel but hit with undisclosed City Tax!

For what it was the hotel was fine, the room was clean and tidy and the bathroom and shower were nice clean. Staff were nice, friendly and always helpful.

Issues…
Not enough storage for clothing, not much variety for breakfast, tight turn out of blind exit from hotel (shrubs in the way so need to be careful of oncoming traffic).

Main Issue…
The hotel price that they give does not include the City Tax which they charge. Why this is not included in your stay is beyond me. You are charged €2 per person per night, for no reason. If this is a regulation it should be included within the quote for your stay.
Hotels.com were very helpful with this issue so I can’t fault them and their customer service was second to none.
Holiday Inn Express on the other hand need to be more transparent with charges!

The hotel is good and well located, near to the highway.
We tried to dine in Reggio Emilia but we were unlucky and we were unsuccessfull on 3 tries. We dined at the hotel and the food the fitst trial was too salty. The second try was below average.

The hotel was nice and comfortable, however they overcharged me at the check-out. In the confirmation, they stated that the price includes taxes, but charged an extra 4€ tax.
This reflects on the whole stay.

Major mechanical systems lack reinvestment

infrastructure needs upgrades such as AC & hot water. Staff work their butts off to offset lack of investment in major mechanical systems . Excellent breakfast Buffett, night staff amazing empathy and action to solve any issues or give advice about local area . Parking feels safe and easy . Great location to access area by car . Francisco took all complaints seriously.

Nice and helpful staff, but our room at the hotel was well worn out. Canvas picture on the wall was peeling back, desk panelling was peeled off, carpet was threading near the bathroom. Unappealing. I’ve stayed at various Holiday Inns and and found them usually in much better shape. This particular one was just run down. The breakfast was adequate, and parking convenient.

Easy stop overnight with amenities

Lovely stop overnight, just off the A1. Staff were friendly - welcoming our dog. Free parking was secure. Bed very very comfortable after driving all day. For the price, I recommend it

Nice hotel close to the football stadium and fasti

I stayed here whilst following my football team. The hotel is within walking distance of the stadium and 1.2 km walk from the AV Reggio Emilia - fast train station. Outside the hotel is a bus stop for buses to the station or town.
The town is small and has a picturesque square and churches.
Nearby is a pizzeria and bar.

Good value if you have a car

Small bed, bathroom not well furnished. Close to shopping centres and train stations but a car is needed anyway. Breakfast value was correct, the typical erbazzone was very nice.

We arrived on Sunday, and there was not much going on in town. The lady in the front desk was very nice and helpful, and recommended us to go to a nearby Shopping Mall. Rooms were small for a family stay. The carpets were all dirty and had stains on. There was a funky smell, and it was quite hot in the room. Air conditioner didn't work well.
Staff overall was very nice, but hotel condition is not in best shape. Breakfast very good.

Nice hotel recently refurbished. Helpfull polite staff apart from the women in charge of the breakfast buffet who was Rude and un-helpful. We stayed 4 nights whilst at a trade show in Bologna and this is further from Bologna than it looks on the map. However nice small town with good bars and restaurants. The hotel is out of the main town and in a bit of an industrial area but the local restaurant just 300 yards whilst not looking great was in fact very good and welcoming.

Overall it was good. My room and the hotel were clean and pleasant. The staff were very friendly and helpful. However, the shower head in my room was cracked affecting the water pressure in the shower and the hotel bicycles need some TLC.

We were 4(2 couples) me my sister and our husbands. We booked room for 4. Which was 1 double bed and 1 sofa bed for 2. We realised that toilet lock is not working. I called reception and he told me if I can't lock then probly it's damaged and only plumber can fix it. And in night there is no one available. I asked him to chafe the room because we were 2 couples and there was no privacy. He came to us and changed our room but guess what same problem with toilet door. He tried to fix it for 10 min and then he said actually you cannot lick the door because it's not safety. What if you stuck in toilet and no one out there to open. And then he said and the room you booked is for 2 adult and 2 child. I open my confirmation of 4 adults from email. Then he was quite. But his behaviour was not acceptable at all.

Good little stop-over for business or families.

On a recent Business trip I found this to be a great value for money hotel, clean, comfortable with friendly, helpful English speaking staff.
Perhaps a bit out of the town center, but fine if you have a car or don't mind using a taxi.

I stayed at this hotel in 2007 because it was the least expensive and modern hotel close to Modena and Maranello. The Hotel is clean and relative in new conditions 5 years later. It is still the best price and with free internet and breakfast. The room had the optional sofa and the size is not bad.

Fine but attention to detail lacking: my main petty gripe: the 'juice' at breakfast was horrid sweet orange squash! Room clean and comfortable, shower and plumbing a bit weird, tea/coffeemaking a nice touch but lacking liquid milk and non-lemon tea. Internet conection good, but why 3-hour limit??

Leider war es nicht so sauber wie wir es schon erlebt haben. Unser Hund durfte diesmal nicht mit zum Frühstück, da wir schon mehrere Male im Hotel waren, passte unser total lieber Hund einer Angestellten nicht. Andere Hunde, von Italienern dürfte in den Frühstücksraum. Außerdem war der Außenbereich sehr verdreckt und über volle Aschenbecher und sehr unsaubere Tische

Ideaal voor een doorreis!

Prijs kwaliteit prima, ontbijt volledig en verzorgd. Ideaal voor doorreis naar zuid Italië, op 3 min van autosnelweg en verschillende restaurants op wandelafstand (4min). Badkamer ruim en fijne douche.
Enkel de slaapbank was een zeer dunne matras en de hendel van het raam was stuk. Dus wat kleine details maar verder zeker in orde!

Dormito e mangiato benissimo

Ottima posizione, praticamente all'uscita dell'autostrada ed a soli 10 minuti dal centro (ci siamo spostati verso il centro sempre in macchina, dato che ci sono diversi parcheggi molto grandi e gratuiti). Abbiamo soggiornato in una doppia, molto spaziosa e con numerosi mobili utili, sopratutto una bella e grande scrivania. Nella grande televisione abbiamo collegato i nostri device Sansung. Infine, un'ottima e abbondante colazione continentale con croissant, pezzi di torta, 3 tipi di affettati, formaggio e uova e bacon.

Hotel molto comodo perché vicino il Mapei Stadium, dove si può arrrivare a piedi. Dotato di ampio parcheggio. Camere e colazione standard ma tutto sommato da ritornarci per appoggiarsi per la partita.

방에 냉장고없는 호텔은 첨이네요.. 냉장고가있던 자리는 빈공간으로 덩그러니있고 찬 음료를 먹고싶어 아이스버켓을 빌리려했더니 없다더라구요. 커피설탕을 저을 티스푼조차 없어서 간식으로사온 요거트를 먹고싶었지만 먹지못하였습니다..
가격이 저렴해서 많은걸 바랄순없지만 할리데이인이라는 네임벨류를 갖고있으면서 호텔시설면에서 너무 조촐합니다. 다시 이지역에 방문하게된다면 근처에있는 4성급 갈것같아요.
