Beware of this place if you have any expectation of having a comfortable or restful night. They don’t tell you that there are no beds and you have to sleep on a thin bedding pad on a hard concrete floor. We woke up with horrible back pain. They say they accept check in until 10 pm but in fact when we arrived at .8:30 the man who showed us to our location was mean and impatient to deal with. This place should not be on Expedia as a lodging destination as it is only suited if you want to replicate your worst camping experience. That they call this a resort is an abomination. Stay anywhere else

We experienced an authentic Korean stay at Andong Gurume Resort staying in the Chilgok Gotaek structure from the 1830's. The bathroom was modern whilst retaining the integrity of the rest of the property.

The surrounds where also historic and an adventure exploring the grounds and other buildings. We had the traditional breakfast included in our stay, however the resort also has a cafe option with delicious pastries, coffee and other options.

The staff welcomed us and helped us out with our transport as we wanted to explore some of teh local sights.

Overall, an excellent experience and highly recommend.

Almost everything was perfect but didnt have clear instructions for check-in and check-out. Plus, no sign anywhere in property to show where to go for check-in. Had to call the property to ask and the staff said to wait as he would come and get us. He came with a gilf cart and took us to our “room” and gave instructions in how to lock and unlock our property.

I was in Andong on business .Maybe not ideal as my room had no where to put my clothes and I was in Korea for 9 days so was living out of a suitcase.. However it was a fantastic experience and I was really grateful it was recommended by my local host. Everyone was really friendly and helpful despite no common language.
In conclusion an experience not to be missed if you wish to experience living in a Korean guest house

This is a traditional Korean house, retrofitted with better sealing windows and modern bathroom. The space is small, but that’s probably not the point when trying out old houses that are several hundred years old. The location is very quiet and proximity to nice local restaurants (short driving or moderate walking required) was a huge plus.

Expérience exceptionnelle dans un endroit magique au coeur d’un village Hanok. Tout est très authentique et le calme est reposant après quelques jours dans la foule de Busan. Si j’ai mis seulement 4 étoiles et pas 5, c’est uniquement à cause du confort du ”futon’ qui, sans doute pour un non-initié, rend la nuit difficile et les courbatures au réveil omnipprésentes.

Sehr traditionelle und schöne Unterkunft. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und abwechslungsreich. Das Nudeln herstellen hat viel Spaß gemacht. Wir wussten, dass diese anschließen nicht zubereitet werden, dachten aber dass es in der Nähe eine Möglichkeit gibt - dies war leider nicht der Fall.

숙소자체는 깔끔하고 좋았습니다. 다만 추운 겨울에 고택은.. 외풍이 심하고 건조해서 좀 힘들었습니다. 봄이나 가을에 오면 예쁠 것 같습니다.

모두 좋았으나, 너무 추워서 온 가족이 잠에 설쳤던 점이 너무 아쉽습니다.
문 사이로 바람이 너무 들어오는데 문도 잘 닫히지 않아서요. 그리고, 밤에 화장실 갈때 마당에 조명이 하나도 없어서 너무 위험했습니다 ㅠㅠ

계단 경사가 높고 난간이 없고 휠체어 이용 불가능해 노약자, 장애인은 묵을 수 없네요.
세면대 밖으로 물이 튀어 벽면이 젖어 썩었어요.

Amazing traditional resort in a hanok village

Gurume Resort is located in beautiful area, within a traditional hanok village. The accomodations are in renovated traditional hanoks, with all modern equipment inside (AC, nice bathroom, fridge, kettle). The perfect combination of authenticity and modern comfort! The traditional Korean breakfast was tasty and plentiful. And, most of all, the staff, despite speaking very little English, was extremely nice and helpful, and we managed to communicate without difficulties.

후기,,

고택에서 묵는 경험을 할 수 있어서 너무 좋았습니다.
조식은 정갈하고 맛있었고 북카페도 그 옆의 차 마시고 아이들이 머물수 있는 공간도 참 좋더라구요.
단,저희 고택은 3개의 타입으로 되어있었는데 옆에 머무시는 분들이 밤늦게까지 너무 시끄러워서 괴로웠어요.그리고 벌레는 예상했던것 보다 많지 않은편이지만 밤 늦게 두침실에서 꽤 많은 벼룩 같은 것들 발견하고는 잠을 설쳤어요.확실히 해결해주셔야할거 같아요ㅠㅠ

전통한옥은 처음이라 낯설고 신기했어요. 체험삼아 간 것이었기것때문에 재미있었어요. 다만... 앞집 다른 가족들의 목소리가 다 들릴만큼 방음은 전혀 없기 때문에 목소리 크기에 조심하셔야 합니다. 근체 볼것도 많고 먹을거리도 많아서 재미있었어요

안동의 자연경관에 감탄했습니다.

안동댐을 중심으로 자연과의 조화가 잘 어울려져 있고 음식이 웰빙 그 자체로 밥맛이 최고였습니다.
단지, 테레비젼이 없어 저녁엔 어두캄캄하여 역간의 무서움의 밀려 왔습니다.

Quite comfortable with nice views and amazing sentiers in the location.
For better customers service in winter time, the efficient way of utility manual must be informed in detail because Hanok is not farmiliar generally.

Actually it was a quite wonderful experience , and I will come back again.

Les photos sur le site donnent une meilleure impression de la chambre en terme de volume. Salle de bain et WC propres et modernes mais dans une pièce séparée de la chambre, ce qui nécessite de changer de chaussures à chaque fois.
Le prix est très élevé par rapport au niveau de service.
Le lobby n'est pas facilement trouvable. Les personnes présentes parlent un anglais très limité.
Le petit déjeuner est coréen et de qualité moyenne.
Une expérience assez décevante alors que les photos vendaient du rêve !

It’s a resort under development. Construction site is close to the accommodation. Staff are friendly but the facilities and overall service still have much room of improvement.
